How to enable dash cam 24-hour parking monitor function?

To enable the 24-hour parking monitoring function on this dash cam, you will need a dedicated USB-C hardwire kit (ASIN: B0CTX532YD, not included). Buy the kit separately, or we can help.

How do I connect dash cam to my phone?

Please refer to the instruction manual or search wifi connection from “Looking for specific info” for detailed steps. If you still have questions, contact the 24/7 GKU support team.

Will the car battery drain if the dash cam light stays on after parking?

Yes, it will. If your cigarette socket provides continuous power, you should unplug the dash cam or we can help for a dedicated wiring kit to avoid drain battery.

Do you have to connect to dash cam’s WiFi signal each time you get in the car in order for it to record?

No, the dash cam will record automatically without requiring connection to your cellphone’s WiFi. It continues to record as long as it has power.

Do I need to buy an SD card to use this dash cam? What size memory card is recommended?

This dash cam supports memory cards ranging from 32GB to 256GB. A free 64GB U3 microSD card is included in the package. If you need to buy a new one, we recommend a U3 Class 10 microSD card from a reputable brand.

Great footage, compact and easy to set up
Very happy with purchase Compact and hides easily behind interior mirror. Instructions are clear. Quick and easy to set up using the app. Plenty of give on rear camera cable as I was unable to run cable route recommended. Comes with 64gb sd card. Customer support seems to be excellent too

    Amazing customer service
The product is great value for money. High definition, easy to use app, looks good and high perceived quality especially for the money.

But more than this, the customer service has been fantastic. I have a very long car (4.9m) and so the rear Dashcam cable wasn’t long enough by the time I have routed the cable through the lower door sills to avoid the side impact curtain airbags in the upper lining. I contacted GKUs customer service team via WhatsApp who replied quickly and arranged for a longer cable to be provided free of charge. To be clear, the standard read cable will be long enough for nearly all cars.

    Thank you very much!

So no fuss no headache, this is the perfect ki
First I bought this GKU D600 Pro to drive in peace of mind because they are plenty mad people on the road.
So no fuss no headache, this is the perfect kit. Nothing to say about it.
Before installation I looked for what was the best place to fit a dash cam and then videos to see how to install the GKU D600.
It took me less than one hour to fit it with less time and effort than expected to have it working properly (I am 66).
The rear camera can rotate so you can easily adjust it and see the result through the gku mobile app.
Unfortunately not the front one but it still do the job.
So overall I am very happy of my purchase and recommend it. The picture quality is also great.

Great dash cam kit and very easy to install. Picture and video capture is crystal clear.

App is brilliant and very simple to connect to. Very easy to download footage directly to you phone.

The rear view camera is very clear and adds extra peice of mind to driving.

Took me less than an hour to route the wiring and have it up and running.

    Thank-you

    Great Dashcam
I had a specialist fit mine as it’s alot safer. He fits them daily and said this was one of the best hes come across. Great quality imagery front and back. If you go for the hard wire kit don’t fit it yourself. Get a professional to do it. There are lots of instructional videos about but there are more risks to doing this yourself than they make ou

Easy to install, excellent first impressions
Found this very simple to install and set up in a car my newly qualified driver daughter will use. It’s great that it comes with a 64gb SD card pre-installed. Went for a first drive with it running just now and another driver failed to gave way for an obstacle on their side of the road, forcing me to swerve and emergency stop. I found it very easy to locate the correct 1 minute video loop and download it to my iPhone camera roll. The image quality is excellent and her number plate is extremely clear and easy to read. I like the way the video also also has a Google maps GPS map view of the location of the clip and also records your speed. I can’t comment on longevity but so far I am very impressed with this for the money.

Superb quality product and real time help available
This dual camera kit comes with everything you need including a 64gb card, unlike others that supply no card and do not even tell you.
The quality is great, the APP is easy to use and once the camera is installed and connected it automatically starts recording on startup and writes to the card and overwrites old recordings.
Videos can then be viewed on the APP or remove the SD card and view them in 4K on the computer.
I had a query regarding the wi-fi connection and disconnection of the Carplay in the car and this was responded to personally and in full by email.
For a dual camera kit, this one has been thought out well and although not a really known brand the company have evidently tested it fully and made sure that it does what it should with a backup service.
    Fully recommended.

Reliable 4K Dash Cam with Great Features, Minor App Issues
The GKU 4K Dash Cam is a solid choice for anyone looking to upgrade their car’s safety features. The 4K resolution provides impressively clear footage from both the front and rear cameras, making it easy to capture every detail on the road. The 1.5″ IPS screen is small but functional, and the 5G WiFi and GPS integration allow for seamless video downloads and route tracking through the app. The wide 170 angle lens ensures that you don’t miss anything in your surroundings. The included 64GB SD card gives you a good amount of storage right out of the box, and the dash cam’s ability to support up to 256GB means you can store plenty of footage for longer trips.

The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that the app control could be a bit more user friendly. It works, but the interface feels a bit clunky and takes some getting used to. Additionally, while the night vision and WDR features do a decent job, the video quality at night isn’t quite as sharp as during the day. That said, the 24H parking mode and G-sensor offer great peace of mind by automatically recording any motion or impact when the car is parked. Overall, the GKU dash cam is a reliable and feature-packed device that’s well worth considering, even with a few minor drawbacks.

Neatly compact dashcam with fine image quality, great price too
My top priorities when I was looking for a dashcam were,
1- small and compact, I wanted a dashcam that would be hidden away from my view, not one of those that so clearly look like a camera stuck on the windscreen
2-good image quality, obviously, and I work with great cameras, so I didn’t want to be disappointed. I was ‘upgrading’ from a standard HD dashcam (a Bestsee x9) which was great for the price, but I was curious about 4k quality
3 -not cost too much! Because I just wanted something to get the job done, not Netflix level!

This GKU already had some good reviews, has got very good specifications and features, was very similar in compact design to the Bestsee, and was a very good price! You could say it was a bargain for a 4k front and HD rear dashcam kit. It also came with a generous 64Gb microSd card ready fitted, so it was literally ready to go, just stick on your windscreen, plug it in, and off you go.
The required GKU Go app was very easy to find on Play Store, very easily connected to the dashcam, and is simple to use. The app’ offers several settings and options for the camera, like the ‘on screen’ recorded information (like a time stamp etc), recording loop length, and in-car sound recording.
The first setting change I made was to the ‘start recording’ voice announcement from the camera, slightly annoying, a simple beep would have been better. The volume can be turned up or down, or off, on this feature, so I turned it off…sorted.
The front camera unit itself is nicely compact, so it’s perfectly hidden behind my rear view mirror, and the plain design means it’s almost hidden from outside too. It looks like part of the car’s mirror fitting. This is exactly as I wanted it to be, as you can see from the pictures. I simply have the USB-C power cable hanging down, it doesn’t bother me, rather than tucked around the windscreen. The kit does come with power cable plenty long enough to tuck away, and tool to help with this. This cable ends with a power socket plug (with a USB socket usefully on it). I might have preferred a USB connection cable, which apparently the seller offers to send you on request.
The camera has proved to be great, coping well with bright summer sunshine, no lens flare, and has very good 4k resolution, a noticeable improvement on my standard definition previous dashcam. See the video clip attached. The included card loop records about 8 hours of driving apparently, so easily a full working days worth. I’ve fitted an Amazon 128Gb card which I already had, so thats loads of recording…
As it’s summer, I’ve yet to see night time footage, but the lens is said to have a f1.7 wide aperture design, I’m sure it’ll be absolutely fine, especially under street lamps.
The LCD screen on the back is useful and good quality too, and can be set to be on all the time whilst recording, or turn off after a short period. And also, the dashcam records GPS location too, which can locate video clips to a map when viewed in the app. So with the options of time, speed, and location being recorded, you really are fully covered. This might be particularly useful for businesses on their company vehicles, or just for making notes on a holiday road trip..?
I haven’t fitted the rear camera yet, but it’s a neatly small unit too, with plenty of cable to reach from rear to front in a car, and really is a bonus to have it included with such a low priced dashcam kit.

So I hope my thoughts on the GKU600Pro are useful for you, I’m very pleased with it, it comes complete ready to go, very easy to set up, and does the job perfectly for not much money. I have no need for more expensive dashcams, it’s all here and will be in my car for years to come. Recommended!

    D600 Pro
Initial review is generally quite good. Everything came well packaged and included little extras to help with installation such as the electrostatic stickers, the prying tool, extra adhesive mounts and wiring cable hooks.

After shopping for a long time, decided on this particular dash cam as it had many good reviews, looked unobtrusive and felt like price wise it was good as it included an SD card, had a good resolution for the price point and has extra features such a GPS location and parking monitoring (though this needs to be hardwired for this function to be used which you can email the support team about as written in the Amazon description).

Initial camera setup seems to be straightforward and the manual is quite thorough. Formatting the SD card is easy and finding/downloading the app was quite simple. Though I have yet to set it up jn my car as I would like to install it with the hardwire kit from the get go and just waiting on that.

The support team has been easy to contact and if it looks like they won’t be able to reply quickly they will let you know via automated email when they will be in the office and when you can expect a reply which I prefer over no communication and just waiting for days and not knowing when I can expect a reply.

I am currently waiting on a hardwire kit to have it fitted properly so I can access all the features and will update the review once the camera has been put into actual use but otherwise initial thoughts on it and interaction with the support team have been pretty positive.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is a really good dashcam - 5 star recommendatio
I have had dashcams for my car for a while now, but wanted to get a good quality 4k one for a while with a front and rear camera. I looked around and decided on this set up. It was neatly packed and contained everything you need for set up, including the all important micro SD card as well as the roof lining tool to be able to lift the roof lining to hide the wires.

I was a little nervous to start with as I was concerned that the dash cam would need a separate 12v socket but handily it runs as a spur off the main dashcam. You can run just the main camera if you wish. My advice in terms of set up and siting would be to make sure that you really clean your windscreen on the inside where you want to site your camera – in my case I put it on the passenger side, behind the mirror, so it is really unobtrusive. Once you’ve cleaned your windscreen, be a little careful with the electrostatic sheet you then apply. It’s easy to get bits of dust and air underneath it so definitely take care when you apply it, and apply it with a soft cloth. I was in a bit of a rush so used the edge of a credit card, and it scratched the sheet badly so had to throw it away and use the one that was supplied for the rear camera.

Once you get going, set up is very easy. Again, just make sure when you are positioning the dashcam, ensure you are happy with the way it is lined up before you remove the cover off the glue pad. If you’re working by yourself to fit it, just peel a corner of the glue pad back to start with to check your trial position.

The rear one is easy to fit, but as I have a hatchback it’s better to fit it to the roof lining rather than the rear glass. The glue pad for this again seems to be more than sticky enough to do this, and then you just have to ‘chase’ the power lead from the unit through to the front camera via the lining and the door pillars – but again this is pretty easy to do.

Once they are installed, setting up the cameras with the wifi connectivity is very straightforward – I did have a bit of a problem to start with as my phone wouldn’t pick up the 5G wifi signal, it would only pick up 2.5G – and so it wasn’t connecting properly, but I spoke with customer services and they helped me to resolve the issue. Once you’re connected you can then adjust all your camera settings as you wish.

There is not a ‘parking monitor’ hardwire option with this camera – but I understand that you can purchase a hardwire kite from the vendor.

I think the video quality from the front camera is excellent (I did try to upload a video, but unfortunately as I had set the GPS on, I appear to have fallen foul of the community guidelines as shared personal information so have removed the video – but the 4k quality is very good and even on a dull, wet day which is when I trialled it, it was easily able to pick up registration plates). The rear camera is NOT a 4k, but is a perfectly usable 1096. It shows as a picture in picture on the small screen on the back of the camera, but it records a separate feed on the micro SD.

All in all – really pleased with this purchase, and thoroughly recommend i

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA really good dash mini dash cam
The GKU 4K Dash Cam Front and Rear records high-quality video is quite robust, and a user-friendly design and app interface, making it a reliable choice for vehicle security. Setup is straightforward with everything included in the kit. It’s small design enables it to be easily hidden in front of the rearview mirror. While the front camera captures sharp images, the rear camera’s quality is decent but affected by my factory tinted windows. It’s a good purchase, especially with features like parking mode, with the optional hardwire kit and a larger memory card for ample storage. Overall, I’m satisfied with its performance.

    Amazing Value and Feature Packed.
From the moment of opening the packaging the quality is impressive. The box is well made and everything inside packed neatly.

The cameras are easy to install and the cable from the rear camera is long enough to fit large vehicles. I also purchased the Hard Wire Kit to take advantage of Parking Recording. Wiring to the fuse box is easy and the instructions simple to follow.

Once switched on it immediately connected to the GKU GO app which allowed me to ensure both cameras were at the correct angles. In the app I was able to configure the recording and parking settings.

I am very impressed by the quality of the videos with exceptional clarity and clear sound. Having previously used a far more expensive system the GKU600 Pro is easier to use and produces far superior images.

The fact that a two-year warranty is provided shows that this is built to last and presents excellent value for the price paid.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersD600Pro is a Solid Upgrade!
    Tech:
I am impressed with the clarity of the D600 Pro. It has 4k in the front & 1080p on the rear camera, but that is absolutely perfect for reading reg plates etc…

We had the predecessor to the D600 Pro, which did not have a screen on the front camera, however the pro version does. The viewable screen is a 1.47inch display on the front camera. You can also see a minor screen with the back camera image too.

Amazingly, this compact front camera displays the WiFi, SD card, GPS, audio status, and the date/time.

The 170* wide angle front camera also means you see not only the road, but the cycle lane, and possibly the footpath as well.

There are options that your can turn off, and I like that I can choose if I want my internal cabin conversations recorded.

Just as a side note, the d600 pro does come with a 64gig SD card for free, but can be upgraded to 256gig card which I would recommend.

    Build Quality:
I personally think it’s solidly built; big enough to be useful without being fiddly or obstructive to your line of sight when driving.

The connecting cables are well insulated so no worries about damaging them when using the car wire trim tool to hide them.
Admittedly, the car charger is bigger than expected, but it’s because it comes with a surprise bonus of a USB port.

Not a huge deal I suppose, but all the accessories are legit 3M products- the adhesive tapes for holding the camera securely to the glass, which to me was reassuring that they were not ‘cutting corners’ by using sub par materials to stick it to the glass; mine’s been up for 6+ weeks and both cameras are as solidly adhered to the glass as the day I installed them

    Opinion:
The manufacturer really do go out of their way to ensure you can install your cameras quickly and tidily. The car trim tool is a real gem & shockingly easy to hide everything away– I really did feel everything I needed was included for a seamless, easy install.

    Software:
The ‘GKU Go’ app is downloadable on the G**gle Play store. The software provides information on direction, speed, mph tracking, date & is time stamped.

I don’t think it’s a very intuitive app, but I can download my clips when needed, which is what matters most to me. I honestly don’t really need the app much outside of collecting clips, so though it’s not brilliant, it doesn’t really affect me.

    Connectivity & GPS:
5G WiFi when enabled, means the clips download a lot faster which is good considering the app requires you to stay on the clips tab of the app or they stop downloading. This is really the only app downside.

    Impressive Features and Performance
The new 4K WiFi GPS Dash Cam impressed me with its sharp 4K resolution and dual recording capabilities (4K front + 1080P rear). It’s easy to control via app and offers useful features like G-Sensor and parking mode for added security. Installation was straightforward, and its compact design is a bonus. Overall, it’s a great choice for enhancing vehicle safety and capturing clear video footage.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGreat value for money and nicely made
I already owned the GKU 600 and did a brief review of that and this review relates to the Pro version of the same camera.

The main difference that is important to me is the higher-resolution front camera. The WiFi download speed has also been improved. It also includes GPS adding location and speed to the recorded clips.

The form factor is the same as the non-Pro version but this one comes with a screen, making for easier alignment. This is a nice addition but the quality and speed of the app makes it somewhat of a ‘nice to have’ rather than a necessity. The GKU Go app is one of, if not the, best dashcam app I’ve used. Very intuitive and includes pretty much everything you’ll need. Another nice touch with the app is that no registration is required.

One thing I’d like to see is a voice choice for the announcements that includes British as well as US English.

There’s really not much more to say about the camera. The video clip I’ve included will let you decide. I’ve cropped out the GPS and speed info which optionally shows at the bottom of the clip.

In summary, for the money, I’d be surprised if you could beat this package. It’s nicely built and does its job well. I’d recommend it.

Much improved faster file transfer and preview and quick to connect to GPS
Purchased this as an upgrade to a similar previous dashcam I had. The 5 GHz is a real game changer, my previous dashcam was a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi version – it took an age to load all the thumbnails in the app or download videos, this one is so much quicker, saves a lot of time when you quick want to review a video clip.

The LCD screen is a nice addition as well, its small but bright and shows the image from both cameras (rear is overlaid in top right hand corner) whilst in use. My previous one just had a status instead of a live video feed. You can also see if its got a lock on to GPS from the screen. Seems to connect pretty fast on start-up.

Image quality if great, good wide image from both front and rear cameras.

Feels a bit more of a premium product than the one its replace despite being similar size. Has plenty of options in the setting to change to your preference, for example disabling the voice prompt when starting up, or turning off the screen after a short time if you find it distracting.

Overall really happy with it and highly recommend it, its a nice compact size, can easily be hidden from drivers view to if placed to the left of the rear view mirror.
