Decent bit of kit this. Does loads. Well worth the money.
Delivery was awful, first one was damaged, so sent it back. Took them ages to send out a new one, luckily this one was not damaged. They defo need to sort out the delivery companies , they don’t give two hoots as long as they dump it at your doo
Well buil
Took a month to arrive after buying on Prime Day, although if I had paid full price I could of had it next day. I did check when the earliest possible delivery date given to me arrived, that it was actually going to turn up, because it could still be another two weeks after that. Behold it was sent the next day.
Have only smoked some salmon in it so far and that turned out very well. Going to try some pizzas soon.
Perfect pizza
Absolutely love this product. Cooked pizza from scratch on a couple of settings now and both great. The artisan pizza setting is fabulous. It’s 100% better than a pizza stone in a normal oven. Excited to try the other settings too
Great purchase
Shame amazon took over a month for it to arrive!
Alas my husband is now a very happy chap and wants to cook everything in it, which is fine for me. Although don’t try burgers in it because the clean up after is awful! Infact cleaning it isn’t the best.
For pizzas, it really does take 2 mins which is amazing and they taste fantastic!
As with all Ninjas, this is well built and sturdy. Everything feels like it’s the best quality. Originally bought for pizzas but yesterday smoked a spatchcocked chicken. It was phenomenal! The best chicken I’ve had for a long time. Ribs next!
I got this oven for pizza cooking mainly which it does brilliantly (burnt a few to start with) but now cook burgers and sausages with the smoker function they take no time to do and taste great ,very pleased with the oven easy to use with lots of settings and can be adjusted to suit what you are cooking
I bought so far 3 pizza oven including Ooni. All returned for various performance reasons. I hesitated to go ahead with Ninja. So I took the risk of another hassle of posting back. I am pleased with it ! And… I use it indoors (without the pellets of course). I have a flat with no garden. I cooked my 4th pizza and it was a delight. I noticed a little bit of smoke coming out when the temp was at 370c max and I presume this was because the pizza was well over cooked on the edge but was still edible. This brings up my criticism of no window to observe through the progress (hence minus one star). I thank all the people who sent their feedback here upon which I decided to go ahead and buy mine. I particularly thank the guy who said he uses it indoors all the time with no issues.
This is a quality product. It makes the best Pizza’s I have ever tasted. Home made and cooked at high temperature. When set to artisian mode it will do a Pizza in 2.5 minutes cooking at 370C which is great if you like a slightly burnt crust. The thin crust setting takes 5 minutes cooking at 275C.
Rust on the inside
Tried it out for the first time was amazing. Found rust on the inside of the oven door. Didn’t want to send it back because we had an occasion planned, we would have to send back, wait for refund and then reorder.
It cooked my chicken drumsticks very evenly, no redness if held upright, remained juicy.
I bought this because I have a mobility problem and can’t reach into a standard kitchen oven to clean it etc. Can this Ninja be used to cook indoors? No, because the elements are exposed so juice splatters onto them (top and bottom) creating dense smoke that is toxic and unpleasant. Outdoors it’s no problem, just standard bbq smoke.
Cleaning it is no easier than a kitchen oven. I had to use a pumice stone to get the worst spots of muck off the insides. This caused some light scratching but hey, it’s better than leaving food marks on it.
Tip :- if the meat juices do not splatter the sides there’s much less cleaning required. So put the meat in the centre or put an upright metal dish next to the meat to block the splatters.
Tip:- if cleaning is a problem for you put the meat close to the door, because that’s easier to clean than the back.
The parcel as delivered is very heavy. The delivery man struggled with it. Many people won’t be able to lift it. The weight is caused by the heavy cast iron pan and the pizza stone, so remove these first so you can move the Ninja around. The weight is then within the limits of most people but still moderately heavy.
I’m very impressed by this bbq oven. I don’t normally bother with summer bbqs but I think I will this year.
