Good Results
Every year ants are a problem as we live in an area with very sandy soil which they seem to thrive in. I have used various products to deter them in the past but not this particular product.
This ant killer is in a powder form contained within a plastic bottle, with a secure screw top that you have to squeeze at the arrow point, if you don’t it will just click and rotate. I think this is a good safety feature. The powder is dispensed when you squeeze the bottle, it puffs out to your chosen spot. Full instructions are printed on the bottle, which I followed.
The results so far have been excellent. I have only used the powder outside as I could see where the nest was (they were about to fly) and only one or two ants had ventured into the conservatory. I feel confident that the nest has gone for this year in that particular spot, no sign of them at all. I’m sure there will be more ants next year somewhere else around the garden but this time I will be prepared and catch them before they fly. An excellent product which I will use again. Highly recommended.

What’s in the box?
1 x 500g tub of Nippon Ant powder
We’ve had a big ant problem this year, tried various powders and sprays with limited success.
The first tub that arrived was only half full, but I contacted the seller and they immediately sent a replacement.
It’s in a plastic tub with childproof cap, and once opened you’ll notice a “puffer” cap, meaning you’re not using too much, you can just puff the product onto specific areas. This is great as there’s no waste and you can direct it easily.
Claims to keep ants at bay for up to 12 weeks, and so far so good. Solid 5 stars from me.
Good ant kille
This is one of the two ant powders I use the most as its extremely effective against all the types of ant that I find in my garden and on paths during the summer.
Compared with granular ant killers, powder does make a mess but I find its more effective as its covers a complete area where ants are. The powder is also not washed away easily by rain which is handy given our erratic weather.
The container has the usual type of applicator type and these do block up too easily but a quick shake and its back to working again.
excellent product, has immediate effect on the ants
Ordered this as we’ve had Nippon ant killer products before, powder and bait stations. The powder is always highly effective and instant. This is larger bottle than what i’ve bought in the shops, i’d say Nippon is the best ant powder and depending on use it can last months.
Best use i found is for behind skirting boards, as that’s where ants were getting in, being powder it stays there and doesn’t lose its’ potency.
It's a bugs death.
The Nippon brand is a well known brand and is effective for the control of a number of crawling insects — ants, cockroaches, bed bugs, earwigs and fleas. We have been using Nippon products to control ants both inside and outside of the home for years. The powder is easy to use as it just requires the bottle to be squeezed in order to release it. It doesn’t take much to do the job and is effective immediately. Whenever we have an infestation of ants into a plant pot we just dust it with the powder and within 10 to 20 minutes all ant activity ceases, which either means they are dead or that they have decided to move elsewhere. Either way I am happy. As this is a powder, care should be taken not to use it in windy weather as the powder shouldn’t be inhaled. It is also harmful to aquatic life so care should be taken. Personally, I only use the powder outside as I consider it unsightly for indoor use, especially as most of my floors are carpeted. However, Nippon make other types of ant killer that I consider more suitable, so use those if I have an issue indoors.
We've been buying this for 30 years... someone must be rich thanks to ants LOL
Hubby always has a pack of this in the garage, and has done for 30 years. The pack says shelf life is 3 years, but I can’t find a batch date, so no idea how old this pack is, and, is the 3 years from when it has been opened, or from the manufacture date? Be nice to have that info on the listing, however, this will probably be used within a year, depends how many infestations we get!
