Very entry level
This is the kind of speaker that you get when you go to university and realise that your laptop speakers aren’t loud enough and you want to impress when you play games. It’s nothing more than that. They have a nice design, a fabric cover on the front, and a nice style that lets you turn it on and off with volume control, and two buttons to change the light and mode. On max volume, they rattle, and it’s not very clear. On middle to low they are only highs and mid s, there is no bass at all. If you are playing any games seriously, headphones will do you better because these do not provide any spatial awareness, and additionally if you are playing anything that requires immersion, you’re not going to get full quality. However if you are just watching some daytime TV, upgrading your laptop speakers for YouTube, or something similar, this will be fine. These are the kind of speakers you might also gift someone that isn’t very tech savvy, but need speakers for their computer. They look nice and they’re cheap.
Serviceable
Comes boxed this opens straight to the product. It looks good, built from a dense plastic but is surprisingly light with the USB hard wired. The front has the volume dial, a button for the RGB and a button for bluetooth which hooks up with no effort.
It will connect and rub via usb as an external soundcard with speakers or via bluetooth running off anything that can give it power like a power bank.
The sounds…ok, not enough to knock it down anymore stars but it does need an EQ as the sound is very flat. Once balanced its serviceable enough but wont blow you away.
Basic speakers
This is a simple USB connected speaker bar with RGB lighting. It has a volume control that also acts as an on off switch. It will also connect by Bluetooth, but not at any great distance. The sound quality is OK. It’s better than nothing which is what I had on my PC before. Using some of the windows enhancements to boost the bass and rebalance the sound a little I got sound that will do for general computer things. The directionality is adequate, the sound isn’t distorted, it’s a lot louder than I can get my laptop to go. The RGB is nice, but unnecessary. You’re getting two little 5w speakers in a soundbar shape. It’s less to wire in than the little separate left and right speakers. It’s a simple USB connection. My headphones are better for both gaming and music, but there are times that you want to be able to share what you’re doing with other people. For the price, it’s not bad. It’s now my standard speaker on the gaming PC for when I don’t want to use the headphones.
They are speakers
These are USB/Bluetooth speakers with RGB. The big advantage they have is the single USB cable for sound and power. It is USB A only, there is no USB-C adaptor included.
Sound quality is not the best, in fact it is pretty bad, in fact the speakers built in to my MacBook Air are better sounding.
Value for money, not amazing at 25, you can certainly get cheaper that will sound no worse, spend a bit more and the jump in quality will be huge.
