Great additio
These made a great addition to my darts. They stick in the board well and don’t seem to mess up the board much in use. They are very well made and feel solid, I can see these lasting a good while.
Overall I can recommend these if you are after an upgrade like them for your darts.
Just A Bit Long For Me
These are well made dart points that arrive in a branded packet.
I made a bit of a mistake with these as on trying them out they are just too long and did not suit my grip at all, they made my darts feel unbalanced and they basically ended up all over the place. That is absolutely no reflection on these points as they are very well made and it is just down to my preference and grip style which is very subjective.
Still giving 5 stars as the quality is very good and they look good.
Target Doing Target Stuff!
I love Target darts in general and feel that they’re some of the best on the market.
Swiss points changed the game with making it super easy to swap out your dart points with no mess and no hassle. The tool comes with each set of Swiss point darts (which is why they’re not included in this pack because in theory if you have the swiss point barrels, they came with the tool.)
These tips specifically are fantastic, the extra friction causes by the ridges allows for a wider grip including resting a finger on the point as well.
Would highly recommend for the fantastic Target quality, Swiss point system and the actual design of these tips in particular. Incredible value. 5/5
Quality dart points
The grip on these darts is excellent, and they penetrate deeply into my dartboard thanks to their sharp tips. The overall quality feels excellent, and I would definitely recommend them.
Good quality essential replacements
I love the Swiss points, I’m able to customise my darts more to suit my way of playing. These are quickly changed using the target Swiss point tool you should already have gotten with your darts. Quick to change and try different styles I’ve settled on 35mm with a less aggressive design. I don’t get many bounce outs at all so I don’t need the super aggressive points. These tend to wear the board quickly so I’d only recommend using them in competition and even then some people might get cheesed off as the aggressive ones really do rip the lining out of your board.
Quality from Targe
These Swiss points from Target are quality as expected. Extremely well made and install into compatible darts with ease using the Swiss point tool.
I went for the 35mm in gold and they look great and perform just aswell. Grip is sensational whilst still being easy enough to remove. Be aware that these may cause slight more damage to your board than smooth points due to the design which allows them to grip so well. Perfect for older boards in pubs etc.
No issues with snapping or breaking but the joy of Swiss points is that if they break then they’re easily replaced.
I love Swiss points and they allow for that extra level of customisation of your darts setup.
5 stars – reccomended!
Best Swiss points I’ve ever tried.
This review is for the “TARGET Darts Swiss Point Storm Dart Points, Quartz (3 Pack Set of Tips)”
I am a regular user of Swiss points and had never seen this style before so I was really eager to try these. I ordered two sets in Silver and Gold, both were 35mm.
My typical Swiss points don’t last long as they have a tendency of snapping but in the few weeks that I have been trying these they have remained in tact despite the battering they’ve had. These also stay in the board and have reduced the number of bounce-outs I get.
Personally, I am not a front thrower but if you are you might find the extra grip on the point very helpful.
I am very impressed and would highly recommend these to all Swiss point users.
Sturdy construction and sharp, but not too dangerous
I’ll admit that I didn’t read the description particularly well, I saw the word “Universal” and went for these. Now I need to get myself a set of Target SP darts, because these tips feel quite impressive, and the promise of being able to fit them in seconds is very enticing.
The machining on these tips is very impressive, the tips are especially good with the machining as they aren’t smooth, which I’m assuming gives better sticking power, although that could potentially mean more damage to the board when you pull it out.
I look forward to updating my review once I’ve got some darts to use these with!
Excellent added grip to the poi
I’m already a pretty good convert to Swiss Points and I know they have their detractors, but I think they’re great. These points will be great for anyone that uses their finger on their points as part of their grip. The ridged section after the nose of the dart is excellent added grip and the added thickness definitely feels better under my finger. The ridged section at the tip of the point is not actually as aggressive as I thought it would be and it doesn’t seem to have torn up my board any more than any other points. They do stick in the board extremely well though. I usually use the nano storm points, and they stick well and require a bit of a twist to take out. I wouldn’t twist these as they felt a bit like they were mashing the board doing that, but just give them a strong pull and they’ll come out well. I went with the longest size just to change things up and try something new and I have to say I’m liking them. They don’t altar the flight of my darts, nor do they change the entry angle to the board like I thought they might. I did notice some pretty wild deflections, but this may be me just getting used to them or may be a side effect of long points, I don’t know. Either way, I didn’t see a single bounce out yet. I’d be surprised, they grip like nothing I’ve used before, even stronger than the storm points. I love swiss points, I love the designs and the added bit of tinkering and customisation and these seem like a worthy entry to the lineup. The extra grip at the nose end is probably their biggest selling point for me, and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone who uses a finger on their points all day long. I added some photos next to the regular nano storm points so you can check the size and style differences.
Great points but rough on the board
I use Target Swiss Points in my Target Bolide no3 Darts. Great points and much stronger now than they used to be. I usually use the Silver smooth type but these came on Amazon Vine so I thought I’d give them a go. These are slightly longer than my own but they did nothing to change the flight or accuracy of my Darts which is nice to see. They have a subtle ring finish on them, you can’t really feel it in use but Boy! They stay put in the board, no bounce out’s with these bad boys.
The only thing I will say is that for match play, they are great, once in they are in but I won’t use them in my Darts for practice as they do take some removing and I wouldn’t want to damage my board prematurely. Whether they would or not, I’m not prepared to find out. In someone elses, yeah go for it. I’m glad I got them and tried them and thanks to Target and Amazon for supplying them free to try. I’ll definitely use them for league matches.
