My 15 year old grandson is extremely happy with this gaming headset. He says the sound is amazing and the microphone works great, it’s very comfortable to wear for hours and blocks out his sister and mum . Kids! Very easy to set up. Great quality and good value for the quality of the headsets
A very good set of headphones. Good sound quality and comfortable to use. I like the lighting which goes very well with some of the PC’s & Keyboards you can buy these days, although note that this does require a power source so not easy to use if you have a PS5 for example. Much easier on PC.
Good adjustability throughout and they look really neat too. If you can cope with having wires then this is a good set at a good price.
The TECKNET Wired Gaming Headset delivers a superior gaming experience with its 3.5mm stereo surround sound, allowing gamers to fully immerse themselves in the action. The noise-canceling microphone ensures clear communication with teammates, and the LED light adds a stylish touch. Compatible with various platforms like PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, Switch, Mac, and laptops, these over-ear headphones are versatile and comfortable for extended gaming sessions. An excellent choice for gamers seeking high-quality sound and reliable performance.
Surprisingly good sound given this price range, controls are well laid out and easy to use and the cable length is excellent. My only issue is that the material used for the headphone pads made my ears so hot! After 25 minutes of use I had to take a break, so not great for a proper gaming session…….
These headphones worked straight away from plug in. Good audio quality, microphone was crisp and clear. It was nice to have a secondary mute switch. Very comfortable to wear, good amount of adjustability as well.
26.99 at the time of writing, very good value for money.
Audio and microphone work well and are clear. Has a convertor cable too if you want to split the microphone and headphone. The cable is long enough that you can sit away from your computer and still use it which is handy. Your ears do get warm after a while using it, but as is the case with most over-ear headphones and is a price to pay for the reduction in outside noise. Much nicer than some cheaper ones I have tried.
Have young kids who want a gaming headset?
Have kids you don’t want to spend a fortune on, until they prove that they look after things and appreciate the value of things?
Still want to get them something that they won’t moan about?
This is for them.
It’s not the best. But it’s far from the worst.
Decent enough speakers, so they can hear what they want to hear at high volumes (and minimal distortion).
An OK mic that is very tinny, but still easy enough to understand on the receiving end.
This is ideal as an introductory set.
These headphones feel like ear pillows – the generously padded ear cups are a dream, even for long pc gaming sessions. My 9-year-old ‘resident gamer’ practically disappeared into them for two days straight — this speaks for itself. The audio reproduction is ok for the price. The volume can be cranked up without things getting tinny – although there’s a safety barrier to prevent ear-splitting levels, which is a good thing. The mic is a bit of a mixed bag – it’s positioned well on a flexible boom and recordings sounded ok but a bit muffled. For around 30, this Tecknet headset is a good buy. The comfy design and good sound quality overall make it a considerable choice for casual gamers. So if you prioritize comfort and affordability this headset is worth a shot. Btw. huge props to the easily adjustable headband – my giant head finally feels welcome in a world of often-tight headphones. Thanks.
These are fun headphones and I will point out the pros and cons of buying these TECHNET budget buddies!
Firstly I had heard of TECHNET and probably owned one or two computer/audio-related products.
Of course, I’m talking about a long time ago, these products were always good enough. These headphones are no different, Spotify listeners will enjoy the hi-res audio reproduction. I put the volume to the max and still call that comfortable listening without degradation. Presumably, there is a barrier to prevent you from pushing them past their limits and causing damage to your hearing!
Certainly, these are budget-conscious headphones in the 30 price range. They sound good although I receive a small buzzing noise that I only hear when no audio is playing. The microphone is positioned about right with its multi-direction flexible neck and stays in position, the recording test I did through Audacity sounded fine through the headphones but it’s only limited by my motherboard onboard audio so a USB DAC would have been a better alternative or simply a separate 3.5mm jack only instead of splitting the audio cable from one source, this is where I feel these headphones often go wrong, I have seen it before and suppose it could be a grounding issue.
I did not see the point of adding a USB connection if only to provide power to a single green colour logo on the earmuffs. No colour-changing LED the kiddies will be disappointed, I could have done without this it looks half-finished!
My favourite part of these headphones is the hi-res audio reproduction, it is good enough for Spotify and gaming without damaging your eardrums, and I consider them safe for children to wear. The microphone on/off button and volume control are on the cable so anyone can use these, plus you can adjust your computer volume levels from your taskbar and equaliser. I am thrilled with how easily I can adjust the band to fit. Those earmuffs cover my ears like professional headphones while keeping me cool they are comfortable and light enough to wear for hours on end!
Overall, the hi-res audio and comfort make these worth the price. There is room for improvement and a clever audiophile could find a way around the feedback problem however, the rest of us will have to live with it.
A wired gaming headset, this has got large earpieces that are very well padded and comfortable to wear, presumably they would be comfortable to wear for sometime and as I would imagine a gamer would agree.
It has a 3.5 stereo cable for sound and a 3.5 mono cable for the microphone.
The mic is on a very flexible extension which is easy to move.
There is also a USB-A plug for powering the lights on the side of the earpieces.
Not being a game player I’m probably not the person to ask how they are in use.
But my 16 year old grandson is an avid gamer so I gave these to him to get his opinion.
So far he’s been wearing them for nearly two days and I’ve not heard a peep out of him.
I take that as a recommendation.
