Stylish, robust, great sound and mic, slightly warm around the ears
I have had quite a few items from TECKNET recently and I have been impressed with them all. This gaming headset is another great choice. It feels well put together and looks very stylish. The LED lights are a nice touch.

Sound quality is surprisingly good for this price point and the noise cancelling mic is terrific, ideal for multiplayer gaming when chatting to your teammates.

The headset is lightweight enough to be comfortable when wearing for long periods, however the ear cushions are not particularly well ventilated, so they end up making your ears quite warm and sweaty over time.

The wires are long enough, without there being too much excess – I have had headsets in the past with ridiculously long flexes, however this is a happy medium.

Do be aware that for some older consoles you will need an adapter, as this is a ‘jack’ style male 3.5mm input.

Overall, this is a very well made and designed headset, that looks good and has great sound quality. Extra ventilation for the ear cushions would elevate it, however it loses a star for this. If you are in the market for a budget-friendly, but high quality, gaming headset, this should be top of your list of considerations.

    Great sound and comfortable
A very good set of headphones. Good sound quality and comfortable to use. I like the lighting which goes very well with some of the PC’s & Keyboards you can buy these days, although note that this does require a power source so not easy to use if you have a PS5 for example. Much easier on PC.

Good adjustability throughout and they look really neat too. If you can cope with having wires then this is a good set at a good price.

My 15 year old grandson is extremely happy with this gaming headset. He says the sound is amazing and the microphone works great, it’s very comfortable to wear for hours and blocks out his sister and mum . Kids! Very easy to set up. Great quality and good value for the quality of the headsets

Excellent sound quality at this pricepoi
Surprisingly good sound given this price range, controls are well laid out and easy to use and the cable length is excellent. My only issue is that the material used for the headphone pads made my ears so hot! After 25 minutes of use I had to take a break, so not great for a proper gaming session…….

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhy pay more!
I got this TECKNET wired gaming headset for test and review. Whatever I receive, I will always give an honest opinion good or bad.

I have personally purchased quite a few TECKNET products from Amazon in the past, all of which have been surprisingly good considering the price point. I can say that so far, I have found this gaming headset certainly punches above its weight.

For operation this headset comes with a long 2.5 metre cable, with 3.5mm plugs for the headphone speakers and microphone, and a USB A connection for the lighting. I first connected the headset to my main desktop PC to test the sound output and microphone, and I can say am pleased with the sound quality and volume level of the headphone speakers and the microphone sensitivity was good. It wasn’t until I plugged the headset into my music player that I realised how good the sound quality was at this price point. I have some high-quality wired headphones for Hi-Res audio, and although they sound excellent, this TECKNET wired gaming headset was not as far behind as it should be, makes me wonder if I had over paid for my Hi-Res headphones.

The quality of this headset is very good, it has an aluminium adjustable headband, with lots of thick padding for cushioning. The earpads also have a quoted soft leather covering the padding? whatever it’s very comfortable. There is an inline control for mic on/off and volume level, which is a useful addition.

Overall, if you’re after a good headset, you can’t go far wrong this this. Great sound and mic sensitivity at a low price point.
I hope you find my review useful and helpful

    Good wired headphones 🎧
These headphones worked straight away from plug in. Good audio quality, microphone was crisp and clear. It was nice to have a secondary mute switch. Very comfortable to wear, good amount of adjustability as well.

26.99 at the time of writing, very good value for money.

Immersive Sound and Clear Communication for Gamers
The TECKNET Wired Gaming Headset is a solid choice for gamers seeking an affordable and reliable audio solution. With its 3.5mm stereo surround sound, noise-cancelling microphone, and stylish LED lights, this headset delivers a satisfying gaming experience.

One of the standout features is the stereo surround sound. The audio quality is impressive for its price range, providing clear and immersive sound that enhances the gaming experience. Whether you’re playing action-packed shooters or story-driven RPGs, the sound details are crisp, allowing you to hear every in-game detail, from footsteps to explosions.

The noise-cancelling microphone is another strong point. It effectively filters out background noise, ensuring that your voice comes through loud and clear during multiplayer sessions. This is crucial for effective team communication, making sure your commands and conversations are not lost in the noise.

Comfort is also well addressed with this headset. The padded ear cups and adjustable headband provide a snug yet comfortable fit, suitable for long gaming sessions. The materials used are soft and breathable, reducing the risk of discomfort or sweating during extended use.

The LED lights add a stylish touch, giving the headset a modern, gamer-centric look. While the lights don’t enhance performance, they do contribute to the overall aesthetic, making it a visually appealing accessory for your gaming setup.

However, there are a few areas for improvement. The build quality, while decent, feels a bit plasticky and may not be as durable as higher-end models. Additionally, the wired connection, although reliable, can be less convenient compared to wireless options, especially for those who prefer more freedom of movement.

In summary, the TECKNET Wired Gaming Headset offers great value for its price. It delivers good sound quality, clear communication, and comfortable wear, making it a practical choice for gamers. While it may not match the durability and convenience of more expensive models, it’s a strong contender for budget-conscious gamers looking for a reliable and stylish headset.

    Budget-Friendly Gaming Headse
The sound quality is surprisingly good for the price, with clear highs and decent bass. I’ve used it for both gaming and listening to music, and it handles both well. The microphone is clear and picks up my voice well, and the noise-cancelling feature works well to block out background noise.

However, comfort is where this headset falls short. The ear cups are a bit small for my ears, and they start to feel uncomfortable after a couple of hours of use. The headband also feels a bit tight, which adds to the discomfort. I’ve tried adjusting the fit, but I haven’t been able to find a position that’s completely comfortable for extended periods.

The LED lights on the ear cups are a nice touch, but they’re not particularly bright. They add a bit of flair to the headset, but they’re not a major selling point.

Overall, this headset is a good value for the price. It offers decent sound quality and a clear microphone, but the comfort could be improved. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly gaming headset and don’t plan on wearing it for extended periods, it’s worth considering.

Very lightweight, good base tones and sound reductio
These looked pretty cool, and they look just as good in the flesh.
The lead is nice and substantial, fibre so it doesn’t tend to tangle as much as the rubber leads do.
The base is very good and you can detect the surround; to the point where I have turned around because I thought there was something going on behind me more than once!
To that end though, you probably wouldn’t hear something behind you. The noise reduction is very good. One of the main reasons I decided to order these is the school holidays. With the heat the windows need to be open and working from home the distraction of kids screaming outside can be very distracting, (I know, what a miserable old killjoy!).
If I had to nitpick; although light and comfortable, the ear pieces really keep the heat in! I can imagine they will be useful in winter when they double up as earmuffs, but in the temperatures we’re getting at the moment, prepare for for sweaty ear holes.
I haven’t had opportunity to use the mic, but it’s on a bendy arm which is easily positioned.
I like the inline volume and mute controls, they seem very sturdy.
All in all, an excellent option.

    Comfortable budget optio
Audio and microphone work well and are clear. Has a convertor cable too if you want to split the microphone and headphone. The cable is long enough that you can sit away from your computer and still use it which is handy. Your ears do get warm after a while using it, but as is the case with most over-ear headphones and is a price to pay for the reduction in outside noise. Much nicer than some cheaper ones I have tried.

    Great Introductory Headse
Have young kids who want a gaming headset?
Have kids you don’t want to spend a fortune on, until they prove that they look after things and appreciate the value of things?
Still want to get them something that they won’t moan about?

    This is for them.

It’s not the best. But it’s far from the worst.
Decent enough speakers, so they can hear what they want to hear at high volumes (and minimal distortion).
An OK mic that is very tinny, but still easy enough to understand on the receiving end.

This is ideal as an introductory set.

    Budget option, with good performance
These are a budget priced gaming headset which deliver acceptable performance for the casual gamer. I particularly liked the length of the connecting cable at 102 inches/260cms allowing the user to sit further away from their console or PC. The braided material of the cable also offers less scope to tangle than UPVC coated cables. Approximately 15inches/38cms from the headphone pads, and attached to the cable, is a moulded control unit with a roller dial for volume control and a switch for microphone muting. The control unit just hangs down and I would have liked to have seen a clip attached to the rear to attach to your clothing or breast pocket as this gets a bit annoying when you move and feel its weight. The extendable headphone head strap is cushioned and sits quite comfortably on your head and is made of a synthetic leather effect material. The same material is used on the headphone pads and when wearing they do eliminate a lot of external sound which could be useful to some users. I did find that my ears were fully surrounded by the pads but they did get a bit warm from being enclosed although the manufacturer states that the covering has breathable properties. The flexible arm microphone, once positioned will stay in place quite happily, and there is a foam moulding over the microphone head. Connections are made via a standard 3.5mm jack or by adding the supplied adaptor to connect to two audio out sockets found on most PC’s. There is an USB plug attached which when plugged in lights up a greenish blue coloured design on the headset. I would never use this feature but some may find it attractive.

I have used the headphones for flight simulation and they performed well with good sound reproduction of engine noise and spoken instruction both to and from controllers. They are also perfectly adequate for listening to music when necessary with a good sound response in the upper and lower fields and compare favourably to more expensive units that I have used.

Overall I found that these headphones are a good option in terms of performance and if you are looking for a gaming headset for occasional use or don’t want to splash out on expensive units that may get damaged by children.

Good sound, good value for what you get.
These headphones feel like ear pillows – the generously padded ear cups are a dream, even for long pc gaming sessions. My 9-year-old ‘resident gamer’ practically disappeared into them for two days straight — this speaks for itself. The audio reproduction is ok for the price. The volume can be cranked up without things getting tinny – although there’s a safety barrier to prevent ear-splitting levels, which is a good thing. The mic is a bit of a mixed bag – it’s positioned well on a flexible boom and recordings sounded ok but a bit muffled. For around 30, this Tecknet headset is a good buy. The comfy design and good sound quality overall make it a considerable choice for casual gamers. So if you prioritize comfort and affordability this headset is worth a shot. Btw. huge props to the easily adjustable headband – my giant head finally feels welcome in a world of often-tight headphones. Thanks.

Very comfortable and surprisingly good audio
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these headphones. To start with I plugged them into the iPhone and played some music, the bass was very good as was the mids and treble. I then plugged them into my laptop and used them for a Microsoft Teams meeting, the mic was clear (so I was told, but I did a recording test afterwards and it was ace) and the headphone audio was also perfect.

The pads are comfy, and the headphones extend well enough to fit all heads. The mic also has a good range of adjustment for position. The cable is long at 2.6m, and also is a good quality, a soft braided cable, so it won’t be annoying, it’s very flexible. The headphones have a normal mic/headphone style socket, and also a USB socket which you only need to plug in if you want the lights on. It also comes with a convertor cable if you need to split your inputs between mic and headphone separately.

The volume adjustment and mute switch are within easy reach, perfect for gaming also perfect for my Teams meetings!

The only downside is that with over ear headphones I get sweaty ears/head after a while, but that’s not a fault of these particular headphone, just big over ear ones in general.

For the price (29.99 at the time of this review) these are very good value.

Great headphones for Spotify and good enough for gaming
These are fun headphones and I will point out the pros and cons of buying these TECHNET budget buddies!

Firstly I had heard of TECHNET and probably owned one or two computer/audio-related products.
Of course, I’m talking about a long time ago, these products were always good enough. These headphones are no different, Spotify listeners will enjoy the hi-res audio reproduction. I put the volume to the max and still call that comfortable listening without degradation. Presumably, there is a barrier to prevent you from pushing them past their limits and causing damage to your hearing!

Certainly, these are budget-conscious headphones in the 30 price range. They sound good although I receive a small buzzing noise that I only hear when no audio is playing. The microphone is positioned about right with its multi-direction flexible neck and stays in position, the recording test I did through Audacity sounded fine through the headphones but it’s only limited by my motherboard onboard audio so a USB DAC would have been a better alternative or simply a separate 3.5mm jack only instead of splitting the audio cable from one source, this is where I feel these headphones often go wrong, I have seen it before and suppose it could be a grounding issue.

I did not see the point of adding a USB connection if only to provide power to a single green colour logo on the earmuffs. No colour-changing LED the kiddies will be disappointed, I could have done without this it looks half-finished!

My favourite part of these headphones is the hi-res audio reproduction, it is good enough for Spotify and gaming without damaging your eardrums, and I consider them safe for children to wear. The microphone on/off button and volume control are on the cable so anyone can use these, plus you can adjust your computer volume levels from your taskbar and equaliser. I am thrilled with how easily I can adjust the band to fit. Those earmuffs cover my ears like professional headphones while keeping me cool they are comfortable and light enough to wear for hours on end!

Overall, the hi-res audio and comfort make these worth the price. There is room for improvement and a clever audiophile could find a way around the feedback problem however, the rest of us will have to live with it.

Gaming headphones and mic, stereo and noise cancelling
A wired gaming headset, this has got large earpieces that are very well padded and comfortable to wear, presumably they would be comfortable to wear for sometime and as I would imagine a gamer would agree.
It has a 3.5 stereo cable for sound and a 3.5 mono cable for the microphone.
The mic is on a very flexible extension which is easy to move.
There is also a USB-A plug for powering the lights on the side of the earpieces.
Not being a game player I’m probably not the person to ask how they are in use.
But my 16 year old grandson is an avid gamer so I gave these to him to get his opinion.
So far he’s been wearing them for nearly two days and I’ve not heard a peep out of him.
I take that as a recommendation.
