Bright cheerful rug for our beach hu
This is exactly what we hoped for, fairly lightweight, brightly coloured and cheerful for our beach hut. It is light enough to make it lightweight enough to take out and shake out the sand and heavy enough to more or less stay where it has been put.

Lightweight, versatile and durable waterproof outdoor ma
I ordered this for a few uses:
Handy to have this sort of thing in the garden or for taking with us to a park for sitting on the grass (it’s waterproof so if its a little damp underneath you won’t get a wet bottom).
For putting underneath a small paddling pool to protect the bottom and have somewhere to stand when getting in and out. So far, I’ve used it for this – and it has worked great. When I emptied the pool, the water ran over it into the grass so it was ready for another use right away 🙂
It is perfectly comfortable to sit on too – had a quick test of that after putting the paddling pool away!
This is very easy to store rolled up (in the shed or the car) and quick to lay out ready for use.
It feels reasonably durable and is of reasonable thickness (not really “rug” thick) but perfectly adequate for sitting on in the garden, on the beach, having a picnic and how I used it too.
Overall – a great no frills, does as expected waterproof mat that is easy to use, wipe or hose down and dry as necessary and packs away nicely. Happily recommend this 🙂 Thank you 🙂
Great for picnics
I use this in my garden for when we’re having breakfast in the mornings, it does feel quite small as in if you wanted to sit on there and have food on there, however if you want to just put food on there and sit around on the grass then this is perfect as there is a lot of space. It’s lightweight, easy to fold and comfortable to sit on.
Outdoor plastic rug
A comfortable outdoor rug which stays well and ok in any weather, making it quite durable.
It’s waterproof plastic makes it wrinkle free and easy to clean.
It is a beautiful regular shape to fit normal outdoor spaces on the balcony, garden, patio or spaces.
The lovely shape and texture that’s complements any outdoor furniture set.
Suitably large but a bit plasticky
This looks very nice and has stood up to month of British “summer” very well. If I had one criticism it would be the slightly plastic feel of the rug.
Good overall
I really like the pattern. The material is plastic, yet it looks durable and nicely woven. However, it can be a bit slippery-depending on the surface.
A good mat for outdoor BBQs or gatherings. Recommended.
Good for picnics!
Very light so super convenient to just chuck in your boot & take on picnics. Makes a really nice surface to sit on.
Fab for keeping in your shed & bringing out for kids etc in the summer.

Nice design, lightweight ma
So this outdoor rug from ‘THE RUGS’ looks great.
The grey, white, black and beige colour asymmetric stripes provide a nice range of colour.
The material is a plastic, straw-like material which seems durable and is easy to clean.
I can’t yet confirm the mould and mildew resistant claim.
The rug is a bit lighter weight than I was expecting and than I would have liked. It’s a bit thicker than a straw-like roll-up beach mat but is very lightweight.
Great for portability but not great for a permanent installation around the home or garden.
It will take a while for it to flatten out because it is so lightweight.
The current price of 24.99 minus a 15% voucher places it competitively priced for this size but consider if the thickness meets your needs. I would call it more of a ‘mat’ than a ‘rug’.
Given the nature of it too, you may also wish to use an anti-slip underlay beneath this to stop it bunching up underfoot and from slipping around.
It’s 4 stars from me.
Perfect for Eid salaah!
This is actually a plastic straw mat. It’s quite lightweight so it will easily blow away if not held down by something firm & heavy. I actually ordered this for myself and my 2 little boys for using as an outdoor prayer mat when we go for Eid prayers. I’m quite impressed with the size of it, as it’s perfect for our needs. Its quite comfortable to sit down on as well. Even if the grass is wet, this rug provides excellent protection.
Plastic ma
I don’t think I would describe this as a rug, it’s a woven plastic mat. It arrives rolled up and wrapped in plastic, so you need to unroll and weigh the edges down for a while until it flattens out. I love the colours in the mat, which provide a pop of colour on our deck. It’s easy to clean and looks good, however I do think it’s a little overpriced for what it is.
Basic but stylish plastic straw ma
A very simple and basic indoor / outdoor mat, made of woven plastic straw.
Actually, I quite like the modern stripey neutral tones of this mat (greys, beige, white, black) – looks quite smart and stylish (especially from a distance).
It’s a reasonable size (120x160cm).
We’re planning to use in the entrance to our garden room to help protect the floor from mud/grass/damp from being trodden in from the garden, although I’ll probably have to put a non slip map under it, as the plastic straw finish is quite slippy.
I’d say value for money is only so-so.
Plastic straw woven ma
I would hardly call this a rug, its a plastic woven mat. I agree its likely to be heatproof. Opened out the mat isn’t huge but is ok to around for people for a picnic or two people sunbathing on the picnic. Its ok, it is as described but I feel its hugely overpriced at 24.99.
Lots of designs available
This outdoor rug is currently available in three sizes and various designs. The quality, I feel, is somewhere in the middle. The material isn’t super thick but not flimsy either. It looks well made and is comfortable to walk on and most of all very easy to clean.
