Worked first time!
Extremely simple to setup and then automatically keeps connected every time. I have been using it for two weeks now and has never let me down. Used in my Skoda Yeti 2017. Very pleased.
As it was fused I was able to safely attach it to the 105amp battery in the boot of BMW 730d Xdrive attaching the cable with cable clips and taking time and care routing cable to the hole bored to accept the socket. Power is now available in the boot to charge an electric mobility scooter using a DC – AC Inverter converter and to plug in a cooler/heater box and a kettle.
After using it for a short while I discovered a weakness, the bottom dropped out, it appears to be little more than an interference fit and as i had really tightened the locknut on the body it was a brute to remove. I re-fixed the bottom using superglue and when it had set re-fitted it.
I used it yesterday and discovered that the plug for the coolbox had to be waggled around to make a good contact and the kettle did not hold the contact.
This unit makes for a very neat fitting and if the supplier would send a replacement socket it would be perfect.
