So far, so good
I bought this camera to replace one of a different brand that I lost on my travels. Delivery to the shop near my hotel was quick and everything arrived in perfect condition. I’ve not had the time to use it fully as of yet; but so far it seems to offer some decent picture quality and ease of use.
Great little camera for the price
One of my friends used it recently on a hike and I loved the quality of the video so much I bought one for myself! It’s great for the price range, accessories are plenty and set up is super easy. You do need a separate micro sd card as well as separate microphone to record sound, but as long as you know and get them at the same time there’s no hassle with it all.
It works!
Seems to be a load of miss-information around regarding external mics and Akaso action cameras. To confirm – this works fine on an Akaso Ek7000 Pro using the micro USB port and enabling external mic in the options. The lead isn’t very long – maybe just over a meter. Sound quality is improved but not excellent for voice. I just wanted it to record exhaust noise from a camera externally mounted to a car and suspect it will be perfect for this.
An improvement on the V50 X internal Mic
I had high hopes for this as the internal mic on the Akaso is awful. I have to say this does make recordings better but I was expecting more.
The lead is not as long as I would have liked so not ideal to record directly to the camera as you can’t get far enough away for a decent shot.
But for the price it’s definitely a worthwhile improvement on the camera’s internal mic.
