Works nicely.
Got a lot of lightning cables and now you need USB-C. These work! I’ve got one repurposed to provide power to a wireless charger. Working well.
The only frustrating thing was the packaging. I couldn’t open it with my fingers, and needed scissors – and cut right through one of the rubber tethers. :/
For data transfer and charging only
I was a little surprised at the limited functionality of this convertors, this allows your USB C device to be charge by a lightning cable, you can also use it to connect to a device for data transfer.
At 11.99 (There is a 10% off voucher at the time of review) it feels a bit pricey for what you get. If it supported audio or OTG functionality I think I’d be happier but its limited functionality lets these days.
Handy little adapte
I have lots of lightning cables, but now Apple (and I think other brands) are generally moving to USB-C its handy to have both options depending on the circumstances – this little adapter means you don’t need to have two cables, just one with the adapter tied on so you are covered for any situation.
The adapter works fine for both charging and audio connections, and as there is basically nothing to go wrong, I expect it will last for ages. Great.
It just works
This pack provides you with 4 adapters that will allow you to convert a lightning cable to a usb type C connection. I have used these with an in car charger that only had lightning lead, I simply plugged the lightning lead into the adapter and then could use it to charge my Samsung mobile phone. It provides excellent connectivity and worked flawlessly and is so easy and comfortable to use. The build quality seems to be very good, which reassures me that the durability is also good. The colour of the adapter is black and the metal part has a nice brightness to it. I recommend these.
Excellent solution for repurposing lightning cables!
These work well and are really useful add-on to repurpose all your old lightning cables that can’t be used on the newer iPhones or other apple appliances.
They each come with a silicone anti-loss loop attached, so you can loop the other end around the neck of the lightning cable, In this way, it can be removed if you wish to switch between appliances without having to completely take it off and risk losing it.
For the current selling price of 11.99, I think these are good value as well as a great idea, so would recommend them!
Handy lightning female to USB-C male adapto
I ordered this 2 pack lightning to USB adapter because I needed something to connect my USB-C devices to lightning cable when I travel and this does the job! I don’t need to carry around additional cables anymore. I use it with iPhone 15 Pro Max and the performance is good, I’m happy with the charging and data transfer speeds. It’s easy to use and each adaptor has an handy silicone loop to clip around the cable and not loose it. I chose the white+gray color and the appearance is nice. I think it’s a good value for money (7.99 at time of review)
This is a very simple way of converting all your Lightning cables to USB C so they are no longer obsolete when you switch to a newer iphone with USB C connection. However there is one major issue! They do not support fast charging. Ignore all the reviews telling you they support fast charging they do not. However apart from that there is nothing wrong with these at all and they don’t state that they support fast charging just compatible with new devices. So if fast charging is something you need then these are not the adapters for you, if you don’t mind slow charging, can leave over night then yep these are a great way to repurpose cables!
Overall I would recommend, they do not claim to be fast charging. Would be great if they were but they do not claim to. 8/10
