Love it!
Use this when I go and see my girlfriend in Finland, and it makes life so much easier. Fits nicely in my cable bag, charges everything I can think of, and does it really well.
The device is extremely well built and the fact you can change the plug sockets is fantastic.
I wish it was a bit cheaper, but honestly it’s only because I want a bargain!
Works as expected. Gets rather warm
Charging is good and fast, as specified, but I’m surprised at how warm/hot the charger gets. I thought GAN chargers were supposed to keep their cool. Anyway, great for travel (does not try to fall out of the socket) and gets the job done.
High capacity charger that's slim and well buil
Most chargers are boring and dull looking. This one is very slim, compact and takes up less space than a deck of cards. It’s perfect for travelling.
You can easily swap out the plug between the 3-pin UK plug, the EU plug and the USA plug. It also comes with a nice little bag to keep everything in. The build quality is sold and it just feels nice when being held in the hand. The one thing to bear in mind though is that the 3 ports are all located on the underside meaning that if the wall power socket is close to the ground then you can’t see the ports when connecting cables to it.
It comes with 3 charging ports, 1 USB-A port, and 2 USB-C ports. The total power rating is 65W which is ample for most devices and this is distributed across the 3 ports i.e. the USB-A provides 22.5W, and the 2 USB-C ports provide 30W and 65W. It will charge any device from a laptop to most current smartphones in the market. At the current price of 40, it is more expensive than some other chargers in the market which will do the same job however if you’re looking for a high-capacity charger that’s well built and compact with interchangeable plugs then this charger is certainly worth considering and one that I would recommend.
Great compact charger.
This is ideal for both travellers and those with limited socket space.
The swap between UK and EU plugs is simple and secure and ideal for frequent travellers, and the charger itself delivers excellent power output with a slim build that allows it to maximise the use of sockets behind furniture.
The power output is steady and will supply a power hungry laptop or a modern phone without any glitches and minimal overheating.
The only reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is the price, just under 40 at the time of reviewing for a charger is difficult to justify, but if you require something slim to pack for a holiday then it would definitely be worth it.
This charger will have a permanent place in my travel bag. There are a few things I like about it.
First, it is really small. About 9 x 5 x 2.2 cm including the protuberance of the UK adaptor piece.
Second, it will work in the USA, UK and Europe. USA by default, and easily attached small adapters for the other socket types.
Third, it is powerful enough to charge a Mac Pro laptop but also includes lower power USB-A and a second USB-C output for smaller devices.
The charger is nicely packaged and includes a small bag for the charger and the two adaptors (UK and Europe).
The maximum total output is 65W. You can get this from the first USB-C output provided nothing else is charging. If two or three of the outputs are in use, the output from the first one drops to 45W but not below.
There are a couple of hesitations. One is that the charger does get quite hot to touch when charging something like a laptop. Ugreen states that it has temperature control and is a big enough brand that I don’t doubt it, though the maximum temperature is not stated.
Another is that the design might make an awkward fit in some mains sockets as it sticks out sideways. A UK socket close to the floor might not work, for example. Really this is a snag with all wall-wart type appliances.
I can live with this as it is so handy to have a charger that will work with the three most common mains sockets internationally.
