Premium Quality
Great quality and premium feel cable. eMarked for 100w. Cable is braided rather than silicone or plastic/rubber. I have slowly switched all my cables to braided types due to them being easier to route and handle. Cable is labelled as 100w which is something I wish all manufactures would do.
Very high quality and very fas
I bought this cable for my Samsung tab S6 I’m using a 25 watt Samsung fast charge brick and this cable works flawlessly I bought the 3 meter cable which has plenty of length the cable is made of very high quality nylon braiding and the usb type c ends are made of very high quality aluminium the cable clicks nicely into the usb c port tightly and is firm it doesn’t wobble and is not loose it definitely won’t fall out it also charges very fast overall I’m very impressed with the quality and the charging speed it’s just what I expected from ugreen any cable I buy I buy from green they always have the best quality and price I would highly recommend this cable
The cable is a sleekly designed, minimalistic cable, however its packed with a number of premium features which make this a low cost but also quite feature packed cable.
The cable itself has two metal ends, these are lasrer etched with the 100w spec. From here, there are two rubber strain reliefs so that you can’t seperate the connectors from the cables too easily. The cable itself has a decent girth to it, however this is mostly from the fabric sleeving. These sleeving is smooth and silky to the touch and gives it a nice feel but also a good amount of protection from nicks. The connectors themselves are made of metal and were on the tighter end when plugging into my Dell XPS, however this is something I was looking for! There is zero wiggle!
The charging rate has also been perfect, being able to charge the Dell with no issues, so I am very happy to have this in my work bag!
Overall, for 5.59, this is a bargin of a cable. Its robustly made, the design is sleek and you are getting superb UGreen value! 5/5!
As described
There is only one thing I don’t like about this cable. I like the nylon braided cable, I like the sturdy metal housings on the connectors and I like the included velcro cable tidy. What I don’t like is that it does not have its full specifications printed on it. USB-C cables are so confusing because identical looking cables can support widely different standards. I don’t mind that this is USB 2.0, so only supports data speeds of 480Mbps and no video, but I want to know at a glance what it can and can’t do.
6 is reasonable for a good quality 1m charging cable. Label this properly and I’d give it five stars.
Quality USB-C to USB-C cable from UGREEN, no complaints about functionality or quality.
The cable arrived neatly coiled up and placed into a nicely printed resealable plastic pouch, it was supplied with a branded Velcro strap which is always a nice inclusion. The cable itself is made to an excellent standard with a nice looking & feeling braided sheath, stiff strain relief, quality connectors and compact metal housings. I’ve had no problems with the cable across a dozen different devices, ranging from generic 5V only ones all the way up to the max of PD3.0 which is 20V.
Anker and more recently UGREEN have been my go-to brand for cables, chargers and adapters because they’ve always produced reliable and robust products at an affordable price. You’re typically getting a product that matches or exceeds the specifications and quality of the originals provided by many companies, often at half of the cost. Just as an example the OEM Samsung 100W cable is around 17, and it’s just a basic looking cable with no braided sheath and plastic connector housings.
Of course, you need to keep in mind that the charging speed provided by this cable is going to heavily depend on the device and charger being used with it. I’ve personally been able to pull around 45 watts from my various GaN chargers with my most energy hungry device, which is a Steamdeck. I’d fully expect this to perform as advertised but very few devices will be able to push this cable to its limit.
More than happy to recommend this product if you’re looking for a decent USB-C PD cable available in a variety of lengths at a good price point.
Single Direction 100W Charging
I love Ugreen products as they just keep releasing great quality items and this one is one of them, but only if used as a charging point rather than a portable charger
I noticed when i was using it that i wasn’t consistently getting my 100w charging until i tried testing charging my device with either ends and found it only charges with the full 100w in a certain direction; so for the sake of future headaches i ended up permanently keeping this plugged in so i won’t have to worry about if i am using the whole 100w
Braided cables are always a welcome choice compared to the typical rubber coating and the added velcro strap is a great addition even though i have hundreds of velcro straps that i have access to but i won’t complain about a free accessory
Advertised as a charging cable so i am not surprised that the data transfer speed is only 480mbps but since i will never use it to transfer any data, it isn’t a real problem for me as i do have data transfer specific cables. It is still something though for those emergency last option scenarios
