Large and sturdy
I ordered this bird feeder as its far bigger than the previous one we had, it does require some slight assembly, but it just clicks together, and it takes a couple of minutes to do.
It attaches to the window using adhesive pads, I’ve used similar ones when attaching shower storage, and they seem to be quite waterproof, so I’m hopeful these will work as well long term.
The feeder itself seems quite sturdy, and it’s much bigger than similar versions I’ve bought, meaning hopefully it won’t need filling as often.
Overall its a very well designed feeder, it’s large and open fronted, and I’m looking forward to some of the more timid birds visiting us, and I’m happy to recommend it.
fiddly to put togethe
This Perspex bird feeder comes with instructions on how to put it together – although I wouldn’t expect to have to assemble one except maybe the seed tray.
It’s not very complicated or anything and I like that you can remove the seed tray for easy cleaning.
The most awkward part is tightening the tiny bolts on the stickers which fit to the window and hold the feeder in place as with the top on, you can get to it well with your fingers and they don’t include a tiny tool to tighten it.
I found putting the roof on last is a better way around it.
I would still prefer suckers though as I’ve had one with suckers up for months with pigeons and two doves sat in it and it’s never come off the window. It means I can clean it easy and the glass behind it but with the stickers, once they are removed I would need to buy another set.
Anyway, as it’s together and on the window, it’s ideal for smaller birds. I just hope my pigeons don’t land on the roof as I’m not sure if will take the weight bu
