Absolutely spectacular Lego set. Was disappointed that I waited so long for it, but that was Amazon and not a reflection of the goods. So 5 stars for the Lego 1 Star for Amazon on delivery and waiting period.
What can I say? It’s stunning. Not just the overall impact but the intricate detail and it was a joy to buildjust so clever how they imagine and engineer bricks into this!
It’s a beast of a Lego set but beautiful to build and such great detail. My wife and I are obsessed by it. It’s an investment, financially and in time but so worth it!
The most incredible Lego set I’ve ever built! I was hesitant to order from Amazon as I would usually order from the Lego store so that I can collect the insiders points, however this was on such a good prime day deal that I couldn’t not buy it and I’m so glad I did! The box is ginormous so please be mindful of that if you get it sent to a collection point like I did as I had some trouble carrying it up the road to my house. This took me a couple of days to build and I enjoyed every second! This has been my dream set for a while and it was sort of surreal to finally get to build it. The set is broken down into 3 sections, you build one section at a time and connect them all together in a modular style at the end. This makes the set really convenient to move around and you could even display each section separately if you needed to. It’s a really large set so definitely take that into consideration but it looks so impressive once built and I’ve had a lot of compliments on the set from house guests who have seen it.
What an amazing build. It was so fun, the roof tiles were long but still, I was never bored during building. Figures are 10/10. The entire build and set overall is just 10/10 to be honest. I bought this on sale and it was worth every penny. It sits proudly on my shelf as the most pleasant set to look at.
This is how you bring a theme back. I just hope they keep bringing more affordable sets, I’d love to grow my Lord of the Rings collection further.

Welcome to Rivendall. This is a big set, all those bags do look daunting at first, but the instructions do brake the build down to one /two bags at a time. I’m not a big Lord of the Rings collector. I bought this as it’s an impressive set in its own right. It looks stunning as a stand alone piece. Made in three sections, a few bits were fiddley, the build was enjoyable. It has a few sections that are repetitive ( fixing all the roof and floor titles) but it’s worth it for the finnished product. Overall the build isn’t too complicated. Some of the instructions in the manual are difficult to see against the grey page. The high cost isn’t great but it was reduced in price when I got this so it was a little more affordable. This is definitely a set I’d recommend regardless of if you are a the Lord of the Rings theme. The details are amazing and It’s a well thought out set.
I have had my eye on this Lego Rivendell set since it launched to rave reviews .
I waited though for a deal and a recent great one here was enough to get me to bite.
I believe this one is going to be very collectable and sure to have been scrabbling for it once no longer made.
The set itself is over 60000 bricks. This amounts to a good price per brick now , especially discounted.
I’m only now embarking on the build. 49 bags over 3 instruction manuals and will be taking my time to truly savour it.
The set looks fantastic, an absolute masterclass in how good Lego can look and will be the new centerpiece on my living room display shelf.
I eventually completed this many months later and am delighted with the final build. Great varied build, fantastic looking set packed with detail and excellent mini-figures.
I have had my eye on this set for a long time and finally decided to go for it during a sale.
I’m sure it goes without saying, but this is definitely one for the adults, or possibly older kids with some adult supervision. There’s quite a bit of building involved but it will keep any buyer busy for a while.
It looks phenomenal on display but make sure to set some space aside for it, ideally away from pets who might decide it looks better on the floor!
As I said I bought it on sale so saving a few pounds off the full price definitely helped make it good value, the amount of time spent building it and the finished article are all worth the price in my opinion.
I had a bit of a laugh when I first opened the box and looked at the sheer scale of the build, there were about 90 bags of pieces and the instruction books were bigger than the manual for my car! There were no missing parts and a few extra bricks left over at the end.
Overall, the build was enjoyable, the instructions very clear, the bricks for each section sorted into easy to manage bags. Money well spent for a long time Lord of the Rings fan.
The best minifigures, really good looking display set that can still be played with by kids
It’s a lovely set but the mini-figures is what makes it. The elves have ears on their hair which is adorable. My kids love playing with set and they will often use the minifigures in other scenes they imagine up. It is a display set however as it’s very large and the little bits can get knocked off easily.

Bought on prime day for an absolute bargain! Would still pay full price as there’s so much to do on this set – there are 49 bags! My son is currently on bag 19 and it looks amazing so far!
Arguably lego's best set ye
We bought it for our son, 12 years old, who is an avid builder. He found the building process easy and was impressed with the new building techniques he learned. It came with 6000+ pieces and three thick manuals. It took him approximately two weeks to finish the build. It looks amazing. The detail is stunning. It is well worth the money.

I loved that we were able to finance this product or I don’t think we ever could have bought it. This is the most trustworthy site to do the finance from if you were thinking about it.
My main advice would be to make sure you know exactly where you want it and measure it- I made a very rookie error! I bought it straight away and haven’t built yet as it’s huge and I want to add the lights but looking at the pieces it’s such a beautiful set and I can’t wait to get it built!
This is a seriously impressive set, with loads of detail. We coupled this with the Briksmax light kit and the result is amazing!
Was disappointed that Amazon shipped in the product box, despite me specifying not to, as it was a gift. The box arrived looking very tatty with scuffed corners and the print peeling off in places.
The only option Amazon would give me was a refund, but as I bought it on Black Friday, I’d have had to pay the full price to buy again. I’d have snapped up a replacement, but that wasn’t offered.
Box was still sealed and everything was inside, but unwrapping a box that looked battle damaged wasn’t ideal.
The Lego set itself is a must have and I can see why it was voted one of the best sets of 2023.

As for amazons delivery please beware, the box arrived in the actual Lego box with postage sticker attached.
It looked like it had been 5 rounds with Mike Tyson and had pieces missing.
The only negative with this set was amazons lack of intelligence to protect the package.
Apart from that it’s a must have for any Lego collector or lord of the rings fan.
My five stars is based on the set itself not the delivery.
Since I read the books in the early seventies I have collected a whole load of LOTR memorabilia and sets and this takes a high place in that collection. I must admit I have not built it yet but thought it would turn out to be highly collectible piece and that within a few months the price would escalate to extremes like many other specialist Lego kits. I have a few other Lego Technic kits to work on before I tackle this huge set but I want to enjoy every moment going into the autum and in the winter with the lighting kits.It will be the centre peice of my flat prominantly displayed along side my other LOTR collectables, films,figures, books,rings, swords and pipes.
Lego has always been a part of my life from early childhood, young adult, parent and now in my dotage, it keeps my mind active and is always satisfying to complete a project from F1 cars to bikes and film creations.
