Great product, is mega bright, with the motion detection at the right amount. There is also a daytime and night time option that comes on the sensor and can be controlled via remote control. The light itself, may require wago clips to make a it easy install. Overall it is a light that is compact but great value for money
Needed a outdoor light with a motion sensor with the lead on the outside to fit into a three way outside junction box for the side of my house. This light fitted that requirment. The fact that it has a remote control to adjust the motion sensor is a MUST. No longer do i need to get up on a step ladder to mess around with the sensor on the light itself.
I of course got a qualified electrician to install the unit with some new wiring. It does the job and looks great. Plus i got this unit on a discount even better. If you want something of quality just read the reviews on this unit or the previous unit without the remote control. Most agree this outside light is great. Well recommended. Of course this does not mean it will NOT fail after this review but atm it runs great.
These lights are brilliant, in every sense of the word. My driveway is pitch black but two of these come on as soon as I get to the entrance and light up the whole garden and illuminate the entrance to the garage and pathways. The timer setting means as soon as I get indoors they switch themselves off until the motion sensor picks up the next car or bike, and you can alter them to suit your needs. Far better than my old halogen lamp.
The light arrives fully assembled with a short length of wire sticking out the back. If you’re lucky enough to have a socket within about 0.6m you just need to attach a plug and screw the lamp to the wall. Otherwise you’ll need something to extend the cable length.
The side lights can be twisted to point in several directions and the remote allows the light intensity to be changed. It can be changed between constant and night only. The movement sensor doesn’t seem quite so adjustable so far but I’ll have another go. It’s perfectly adequate.
When it comes to outdoor lighting, especially security lights, you really want to feel safe and confident, right? The MEIKEE 42W Security Lights have, in my experience, mostly delivered on these expectations. These lights are quite bright at 3600 lumens — almost blinding when they kick on unexpectedly, which is admittedly the whole point here.I installed mine above the garage, and setting them up was fairly straightforward. I mean, I’m no tech whiz, but the remote control feature was a huge plus for me. There’s just something super satisfying about playing around with lighting modes from the comfort of your couch, although, come to think of it, it might just turn into a new hobby — adjusting light settings! Now, the sensor is pretty reliable, capturing movement from quite a distance, so no sneaky raccoons or, you know, potential intruders will manage to slip by unnoticed. However, all good things come with a few minor hiccups. The instructions could have been a bit clearer, to be honest. I did spend more time than I think necessary figuring out the timing modes. Also, while the IP66 waterproof rating is reassuring, in torrential downpours it’s natural to cross fingers and hope it holds up.At the end of the day, these lights are well worth it. They’re bright, functional, and add a layer of security to any home. So while they might not be absolutely perfect, they do an excellent job at what they’re supposed to do. I’d recommend them to anyone looking to enhance safety and visibility around their home.
I was surprised by the size of the box when it arrived. But it is a compact light, that’s very robust and solid. Easy to wire in. It’s easy to install (assuming you’re replacing an existing light). Some DIY experience required. The remote control is very helpful with clear to follow instructions. And, with the press of a button, you can switch it to permanently ‘on’ for 1,2 or 3 hours for those garden parties etc. it’ll then automatically revert back to the night time sensor mode. Also has adjustable brightness to avoid waking the neighbours! All round good product.
