    Doorbell camera
I’m very satisfied with this doorbell camera. The 2K HD video quality is very clear, both day and night, and the head-to-toe view covers the full entrance area. Motion detection works accurately and sends instant alerts to my phone. Two-way audio is clear, so I can talk to visitors easily. Battery life is good and installation was quick and simple using the app. Great value for the price and works perfectly for home security. Highly recommended.

Excellent product. Installation and setup were very easy, and super straightforward use. Also, very firm and safe way to install it on the door without drilling. The design is very smart. Battery lasts very long and warns you very early on and frequently so it’s impossible to miss it. Also, super great value for money, and doesn’t require a subscription, unlike most similar products!

Very satisfied with the functionalities and have recommended it to lots of people already!!

Impressive door bell camera that you dont need a subscription for.
The security camera that we had installed years ago, finally failed, so we decided on a door bell type camera, and are so glad we did. This camera was easy to install, charge up the battery via a USB until the light turns from red to blue before installing. Pair the microphone that comes with the camera, install a 128mb memory card into the slot and you are basically good to go. The best part of this is that you do not need a subscription like many other Companies. The picture is very clear, not only on close up but also in the distance. You can use your cel phone to talk to anyone at your door, who activates the door bell, but it also records movement, without the doorbell being pressed. I believe it can be hooked up to Alexa but I am not tech savvy so have not done that yet. It’s very impressive, so much so, that we ordered another, from the same Company, for another entrance. Excellent product.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersExcellent Wireless Doorbell Camera No Subscription Needed!
I recently purchased this wireless doorbell camera and I’m genuinely impressed with its performance and features.

One of the biggest advantages is that there is no monthly subscription required. Once installed, it works independently, and if you insert an SD card, you can record and store footage locally. That saves ongoing costs, which is a huge plus.

The motion detection works accurately and sends alerts promptly. I can speak to visitors in real time without any delay through the door bell. This feature is especially useful when I’m not at home.

The night vision quality is very good. The front view of my house is clearly visible even in low light conditions. Video clarity during the daytime is also sharp and detailed.

Another strong point is remote access. As long as my mobile and door bell camera are connected to Wi-Fi, I can view my house from anywhere, which gives peace of mind when I’m at work or travelling.

Installation was straightforward, and being wireless makes it much more convenient compared to wired alternatives.

Overall, this is a reliable, feature-packed doorbell camera without hidden costs. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and practical home security solution.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersExcellent Value Smart Doorbell
I bought this wireless doorbell camera to upgrade my front door security and I’m really impressed with what you get for the price. The 2K HD video quality is crisp and much clearer than my old camera, making it easy to see who’s at the door – even in low-light thanks to the night vision.

Installation was easy, it took just a few minutes. The mobile app notifications are fast, and the motion detection does a good job spotting people rather than every passing car or animal.

I also love that I can speak to visitors directly through my phone, which gives me extra peace of mind when I’m out. And with both SD card and cloud storage options, I don’t feel locked into a subscription plan.

Overall, this feels like a feature-rich doorbell camera at a fair price. Would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to boost their home security without a complicated install or expensive monthly fees!

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersGreat value for money. Ticks all the boxes.
Was looking for a doorbell camera without a subscription and this one ticked all the boxes. You can either purchase a SD card or pay a subscription. We purchased an SD card. The doorbell was easy to install and add to the app. We really liked how you can add the doorbell to multiple devices very easily. The picture is excellent and you have the choice of either SD, HD or auto. You also have the option to add motion detection, which we have done for added security. The rechargeable batteries have a long life. We have had ours for about a month and not recharged yet. Great product and great value for money. I would highly recommend.

    Surprisingly very good, highly recommended!
This doorbell camera is fantastic! The 180 full-body view shows everything clearly, and the 2K HD video is crisp day and night. Motion detection is smart, cutting out false alerts, and the 2-way audio works great—I especially love using it as an intercom through my Google Nest Hub Max. Setup was simple, and it works perfectly even in -35C Canadian winters. The rechargeable battery lasts 3–4 weeks per charge. No subscription fees, and it’s Google compatible. Definitely worth it for peace of mind and home security!

    Great Camera
I had been researching doorbell cameras but hadn’t decided on one because of monthly fees. I live in an apartment and we had some nonsense going on in our building so it was time to pick one. This one received very good reviews. The camera was delivered on Saturday and I had it in place by Sunday. Within a matter of hours we had very good videos of the people who were causing problems in our building. This camera has excellent, clear videos. You can change the amount of recording time from 10, 20 & 30 seconds. I found that 20 seconds is good for what we need. You can choose between no charge service and just use an SD card to save videos, download your videos to your phone, or choose a monthly cloud service. The app is very user friendly. Setup is easy, it just walks you through the steps to connect to WIFI. I have recharged it twice in a month and a half, and it the battery still had plenty of life when I charged it. The only issue I had was trying to connect another user to the app. I contacted customer service and they were very fast to respond, however, I still couldn’t make it work on my phone. All in all, this is perfect camera for security and monitoring your home and I highly recommend it!

Great Doorbell Camera with excellent quality!
I purchased this camera to monitor my driveway gate so that I can be notified when someone pulls up to my gate. I was at the high-resolution video that is activated when the motion sensor detects motion. I get an instant notice on my Android phone as well as a video recording. This has a free basic lifetime storage option but elected to install a 128 gig SD drive to store the recordings. The included indoor wireless chime a long range signal that works very well.

The camera is well-built and the battery lasts for several weeks without recharging. The instructions are clear, and it is very easy to set-up and configure.

I did have a simple question for technical support and they answered within a few hours.

Very good product for the price!

Golden Review Award: 71 From Our UsersGood value for money at 55 but with a few issues
I purchased this doorbell as it seemed good value for money and had most of the features I wanted. It is not all sweetness and light but does, IMHO, represent good value for money and for this reason it gets 4 stars. to reach 5 would require at least a re-write of the CloudEdge app

I have not contacted customer service so everything I am about to tell you could have beed achieved by someone with experience of wifi devices and an ability to use poorly written ‘phone/tablet apps.

Security. The doorbell is reasonably secure from attack by vandals and is capable of sending an alarm if it is removed from the mounting hood which is screwed to the door or wall. it is secured to the hood by a “tamper proof screw” which simply needs a suitable size Torx bit to undo it. There are a few issues but none of them are much worse than most other similar items I have looked at. Having visits to the door recorded on an internal SD card is probably the most serious security issue particularly as the files are NOT encripted as expected, but more on that later.

Settimg up. This requires you to download the CloudEdge app for your device, android or IOS. In either case it is free and looks almost identical on either type of device. The app attempts to guide you through the process but I found myself going round in circles on more than one occasion. I does work but I would strongly advise you to follow the instruction about doing the initial setup with the doorbell and ‘phone/tablet close to the wifi access point. i.e. at least in the same room. Fitting the doorbell outside the house and then proceeding with setup is a recipe for failure. I did a wifi strength survey before installation and already expected that I would need a wifi repeater near to the doorbell. Anyone can do this survey using a free app which gives a graphical representation of all the wifi sources in the area showing their names (SSID) and strengths in dBm. Simply look for your SSID and check the strength at your intended installation point. Anything less than about -40dBm probably indicates you need a wifi repeater placed near the site. These are available from Amazom and others for as little as 20.

Notifications. The CloudEdge app will allow you to control how notifications are sent from the doorbell to your ‘phone/tablet. I found it best to use the default which is “when the doorbell button is pressed”. The pir sensor will almost certainly give many false triggers unless your installation site is ideal. i.e no vehicles or people passing by, no trees or bushes too wave about in the wind etc. the exact form of the notifications you receive seems to depend on your device. I have two android devices which give very different results. IOS devices may be just as variable. However they show up you evemtually land at the intercative screen in the CloudEdge app which is the same on all devices I tried. This screen is one of the best in the app and is quite intuitive to use. Through this screen you can speak to and hear the person at your door. The sound quality is quite good but don’t expect HIFI. On some devices I noticed some squeaks and pops which appear to be acoustic feedback and are related to the relative positions of the speaker and microphone on the ‘phone/tablet. An iphone seemed to have the worst performance here. A reduction in the iphone speaker volume reduced the problem to acceptable levels.

Pairimg. This operation allows you to pair (add) more devices to the doorbell all of which will receive a notification when an alarm occurs. The first device to answer will lock out all the others. Pairing is done using the CloudEdge app. Each device must create an account and sign in then pairing is possible. If you are asked to switch off or reset the doorbell during pairing then you are in the wrong place so go back and start again. There appears to be no limit to how many devices can be paired.

SD card. The doorbell can take an SD card for recording visitors to your door. This must be formatted before use and this can be done in the doorbell. Once formatted the card will make a recording of all visitors for 10, 20 or 30 seconds. You set this time in the app. This is my first real gripe, 30 seconds is too short and I think it should have a option to end when the conversation is cancelled. A 30 second video in full HD is about 3.3Mb in size so a 32GB card can store well over 20,000 files! A longer time would be better. My second gripe also concerns the SD card recording and its failure to include your end of the conversation. All you hear is the person at the door. My third gripe also comes here as it is not possible to download these video files to your device. All you can do is view them. We are usually told that this is because they are encrypted for security reasons and you can store them in the cloud (at a price!) for download in unencrypted form later. But if you remove the SD card and put it in a pc card reader then you find that they are simply mp4 video files and play fine, albeit with the sound and video out of sync and no second channel audio.

General. Here are a few more snipits of information that I found during testing.

If wifi connection is lost you will not get notified of an alarm so cannot answer the door, pretty obvious really. However the chime will still ring and the doorbell will record for the set time so you have a video record of who called when the wifi connection is restored.

The requirement to remove the doorbell to recharge the battery is a nuissance as you will be without a doorbell for several hours. It is possible to charge from usb while the doorbell still works normally. However the usb connector is on the side of the unit and removing the rubber cover and plugging in the usb plug compromises the IP65 rating. Next gripe, why is the usb connection not at the back so it can feed straight through the wall?

Conclusion. I will be keeping this product as at 55 it represents good value for money compared to some other offerings out there which do most of the same things but cost significantly more. This is a commendable attempt to produce a great video doorbell but it falls short in a few places. so it only rates as a good video doorbell. Hence it gets only four stars.
