Great simple to set up security camera
I really like this home security camera which can be attached to a window with a peel and stick means of attachment, absolutely ideal for anyone living in a flat who needs to monitor what is going on outside but is not living at ground level. Living in a city centre location, it’s useful to see who is coming to the block especially when there are delivery disputes or for the security of the block, and to be able to check on what’s happening around your car in the communal car park. We were delighted with its clear pictures and the night vision function is really good too and there is no tell-tale light from the camera to give away the fact that you are recording. All in all, very good value for money and a cinch to set up.
Great mounting solution, very decent picture
I ordered this window camera as I wanted something I could mount behind a set of drawn windows blinds and still be able to monitor the rear garden.
I was surprised by how good the mounting solution was – it is essentially a plastic sheet with a magnetic ring, the camera magnetically attaches to the ring and so can be removed and attached at will, it can also be minutely adjusted.
The box comes with 4 of these mounts but I found that if you attach it although it’s no problem to remove, you would struggle to do it without deforming the magnetic ring so choose your position wisely.
The camera itself was found instantly with the app(which requires registration during easy setup) and straight away connected to my network – it supports 2.4 and 5ghz bands. In practise the app is snappy and has some features like detection zones, sensitivity etc.
The image quality is decent and is good enough to see what is happening outside.
I’m really pleased and can see our rather long and wide garden in it’s entirety. I think this is good value for money and is a low-key way to observe outside areas using an indoor camera.
Simple window camera that just works
This camera does what it is meant to do.
The 2K video is clear during the day and still usable at night. The colour night mode helps when you need to see detail like faces or clothing. It works well through glass, and glare is not a big issue.
Setup is quick. The peel-and-stick mount saves time and avoids drilling. I had it running in a few minutes. The app connection was stable on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi.
Human detection works as expected. Alerts are useful and not too frequent. The 24/7 recording adds peace of mind if you want full coverage.
Overall, this is a good choice if you want a simple indoor camera that looks outside through a window. It is easy to install and gives clear footage without much setup.
Easy setup security camera
This camera is a nice, easy option compared to an external security camera and gets around the normal problem if you use an indoor camera and face it out of a window. If you use a normal indoor camera and try to face it out the window, you get reflections, and also at night, the infrared illumination causes glare on the window. But this camera gets around these problems by mounting on the glass so it doesn’t get reflections, and it doesn’t use infrared for night vision.
Its setup is simple: just stick one of the included magnetic adhesive mounts to the window, and the camera attaches to it via magnetism. You need to download the app, and you will need a micro SD card to record locally, as this isn’t included. There is cloud-based recording, but it’s subscription-based, and I prefer local recording. The camera itself is a neat, well-made little unit, but it doesn’t have a very wide angle of view, which is okay if you can face it exactly where you want to look. However, you obviously need a window in that position as it can’t be angled. For the price, it’s an easy option to add some security, so I would recommend it.
A NEAT LITTLE WINDOW SECURITY CAMERA
I like how easy this little unobtrusive movement detector home window security camera is to position by simply peeling off the protective film on one of the magnetic pads and sticking it on the window and the super lightweight camera attaches magnetically to the pad — and a nice long cable for plugging it in – it is that easy for me. I like that there are a few different size pads that I can position on different windows and easily move the camera from room to room as I desire. I like the little warning sticker to also place on the window to warn any would-be intruders that they are being monitored. I need to purchase a storage card to continually store any security footage as one is not included but I can connect to cloud storage at this stage.
