Absolutely perfect ,easy to install very clear screen good quality .only down fall is it dosnt come with an SD card so that is extra .once SD card is in the recording is brilliant and the play back .
I stuck the SafeView to the window last Thursday afternoon and I half expected it to wobble off. Instead it clung like a limpet and started streaming 3K video to my phone before the kettle boiled.
Because landlord forbids drilling, the peel and press mount felt like cheating, no tools needed. That night I was upstairs folding laundry when the colour feed caught the neighbour’s fox doing a midnight bin ballet, every hair sharp through double glazing. And when the porch light flicked on there was zero glare, the starlight sensor earns its keep.
Loop recording on a 128GB card has been for days, playback is smooth and I haven’t had to fight a subscription pop up. As an aside, the app let me share the feed with mum; now she uses it to judge my bin habits.
But I can live with that, connection stays rock solid and fox looks glorious.
For the price, this is actually a surprisingly capable little camera. Setup was straightforward and it connected to the Wi-Fi without too much trouble. The app gives you the basics you’d expect — live view, motion alerts and the ability to check recordings — and the picture quality is perfectly adequate for keeping an eye on a room or entry point. Night vision works well enough for a camera in this price bracket, and the compact size means it’s easy to place almost anywhere.
That said, it’s clearly a budget device, so I wouldn’t expect the same polish or reliability you’d get from a camera costing three or four times as much. The app interface is fairly simple and you may need to spend a few minutes tweaking the settings to get things how you want them. But judged purely on value for money, it’s hard to complain — for under 20 it does exactly what it promises and provides a useful extra layer of monitoring around the house.
