Easy to fi
This is great, easy to put on and remove. Makes me feel a bit safer after a couple of robberies in the street. It can be seen from the outside so a good deterrent.

Compared to others this is easy to use, just slide it over and clip the cover down. Its built quite well to prevent the handles from turning and allow the door locks to remain, but does rely on plastic screwed to the end which could become brittle or break in the long term. The locking switch is easy to remove, so good for easy use, but doesn’t have any locks to prevent use if a window is smashed and the door is used to escape.
This is an unusual approach to door-‘locking’, since it renders the handles ‘locked’ in place, but doesn’t involve a key. It’s a tube which prevents the handles from turning, and so prevents the door from being opened from outside. I guess you need to remember to enable the multi-point locking on the door before applying this lock, if you want the best security.
I don’t think I’d rely on this lock on its own for security, though I can’t really point to a weakness: but as a ‘belt-and-braces’ appraoch with a key-lock too, it helps give me confidence in the security of my patio doors. It’s very easy to fit and remove, so you could use it as a temporary measure (in the daytime, say, or if you particularly needed a ‘quick exit’ lock and didn’t want to leave a key around for some reason. It’s not the most elegant addition to the patio doors, but it’s not terrible. The lock certainly seem durable and strong enough, and is easy to put on and off.
At 22, it’s a reasonable item for added peace of mind, but I am left wondering if it’s a solution in search of a problem.
