dcouvrir le stop motion en s'amusa
Ce kit est une trs bonne surprise pour dbuter dans l’animation image par image.
Tout est fourni pour commencer rapidement : la camra Full HD, le logiciel, le livre explicatif et les diffrents supports.
L’installation est simple sur ordinateur et le logiciel est suffisamment intuitif pour que les enfants puissent crer leurs premires animations sans difficult.
La qualit d’image est satisfaisante et le microphone intgr est pratique pour ajouter des voix ou des effets sonores. C’est une activit crative qui occupe longtemps tout en dveloppant l’imagination.

Le prix est un peu lev, mais le contenu du coffret est vraiment complet.
Idal pour dbute
L’quipement est presque complet : Le pack inclut tout le ncessaire pour dmarrer immdiatement (camra USB HUE HD avec micro, logiciel ddi, mini scne et effets sonores). Il manquera les personnages et surtout une bonne histoire.
Accompagnement de qualit : Le livre en couleur de 64 pages et les activits imprimables fournissent des bases claires et des ides concrtes pour crer des animations avec des briques de jeu, de la pte modeler ou du papier.
Mais le livre est crit exclusivement en Anglais.
Compatibilit et logiciel : Le logiciel inclus (Stop Motion Studio pour HUE) fonctionne de manire fluide sur les versions rcentes de Windows et macOS.
Cette camra est idale pour occuper mon fils cet t. La prise en mains est simple mais il faut quand mme un adulte pour lancer le projet (tlcharger le logiciel, l’installer et regarder avec lui comment faire).

This kit contains everything children need to start creating stop motion animations, including a flexible full HD camera, simple software, backgrounds and a helpful instruction book. The camera is easy to position and works well for animating building bricks, modelling clay, paper characters and small toys.
It is also an excellent educational tool that encourages creativity, storytelling, planning, patience and basic computer skills. The included book explains each stage in a clear and child friendly way, allowing children to understand the process and start creating their own short animations quickly.
Once children learn how stop motion works, they may begin watching animated television programmes and films differently. They can better appreciate how characters are moved in small steps, how scenes are constructed and how much planning and work goes into producing just a few seconds of animation.
The software is straightforward to use, although younger children may need some help with the initial installation. Overall, this is a fun and engaging kit that combines creative play with valuable learning and provides children with a rewarding introduction to animation and filmmaking.
Animation studio
First thing to mention is you MUST take care when opening the box as the box is actually part of the “stage show”. If your children are a little “overkeen” to open presents then I would be tempted to take over at this stage.
The included instructions are extremely comprehensive and there are several YouTube videos out there to garner further ideas on how to setup your studio.
Connectivity wise, the camera uses the USB-mini connector. I would have liked this to have been USB-A or even USB-C but appreciate the camera is only 1080P so arguably an older design.
Camera quality itself is fair to good … typical webcam quality. The focus adjustment is pretty small and it is very easy to get camera shake and ruin the production. So, to combat this we decided to “pre-focus” and keep everything at that same focus distance so no adjustment was necessary.
Regarding age I would say this is suitable for smart 8yr olds through to early teens. Older than that I believe you are going to be looking for something a bit more substantial/professional. Having said that, it is still a good introduction and you could learn a lot …. so I would also say this is more than suitable for STEM applications.
Asking price appears steep but the applications you could put this too are vast. I would like to see a “voucher price” applied and if the price came down another 15 or so then it would be quite the bargain.
In conclusion I would rate this a nearly but not quite !

My son's turned into a one-boy stop motion studio, even the cat's been cas
My son has latched onto this. Lego minifigures have had entire dramatic storylines play out, the cat’s been cast against his will in at least three productions, and his teddy got dragged into a heist film last weekend. All of this is happening on my old work Dell laptop, which has finally found a purpose in its retirement.
The kit itself is well put together. The software’s simple enough that he sorted it out himself in about ten minutes and hasn’t needed me since, the book’s a nice addition for actual technique rather than just winging it, and the camera is surprisingly decent quality for what’s included.
I suspect there’s some software noise reduction doing a lot of heavy lifting behind the scenes, but the results genuinely hold up on screen.
Couple of gripes. The camera’s Mini USB-B rather than C, an odd choice on anything sold now, though nothing a drawer full of old adapters didn’t fix in two seconds.
Also worth knowing the “stage” that comes with it is actually just the box itself, so don’t go mad opening the packaging or you’ll be animating on a torn flap.
Didn’t matter much here, I run a freelance video business so we’ve already got green screen fabric knocking about the house, but that’s worth knowing if you don’t.
There’s a Pro version for about a tenner more, slightly different camera but still Mini-B, and otherwise looks to include mostly the same kit as this one, so I’m not convinced the jump is worth it unless that specific camera appeals.
At 64.95 it does feel a touch steep for what’s in the box, but the amount of use it’s already had, and the fact my son is teaching himself an actual creative skill rather than just watching another screen, makes up a fair bit of that ground.
A really good animation kit that’s easy to use and great for children to experiment with stop motion. The software works with both Windows and Mac and it’s very intuitive and child friendly to use. The enclosed manuals are also very much designed for children’s minds with a ‘quickstart guide’ for the one’s who cannot wait to get going and a much more detailed, but still easy to follow, bright and colourful ‘book of animation’.
There are a couple of small issues I found with the camera. Whilst it is pretty good quality the lens does seem to require a good deal of light to get the best results and the one integrated on the camera is just too weak to make any difference. I ended up using an external USB ring light to get the brightness I needed. The flexible neck has a good range of motion and, for the majority of the time, it holds steady in place. There are however a few positions where I did notice it did start to droop ever so slightly, which wasn’t ideal.
My son made use of this for making small animated Lego figure movies and after just a few minutes he seemed to have no trouble figuring out the stop/start recording on the software, deleting frames, testing the movie as it progressed. This is testament to how well the software is designed. Overall, this is a great balance of getting children to learn animation and software whilst keeping it super fun and interesting.
