Brilliant upgrade easy setup, great picture, and super handy features
This is my 10th IMOU camera, so I’ve been using the brand for years, and this one is a fantastic addition to my setup. As always, setup was incredibly quick, it took seconds to connect and add to the app with no issues at all. Sharing access with family is also really straightforward.
Function-wise, it’s simple to control and rotate through the app, which makes checking around the room easy. The one-touch call feature is surprisingly useful too – a bit like using Alexa to call between rooms. It’s great for calling the kids down for dinner or checking in without shouting through the house.
The colour quality on this model is brilliant and noticeably better than some of the older versions I have. The picture is sharp and clear, and the overall performance feels like a solid step up. No lag in live viewing or recording – very simple all around. You can record to own card (which i do) or cloud.
Overall, a really reliable, easy-to-use indoor camera with excellent features especially if you’re already in the IMOU ecosystem.
High quality and clear detectio
This ip camera is a great solution to keep an eye on everything going on. The camera is a high resolution indoor camera and the high resolution is key because it can digitally crop the picture and zoom in while retaining quite a bit of detail. The camera is rated for a 8x digital zoom, the quality is great and it works well for me to easily be able to set this up as I need. The camera connects via wifi and with Imou devices its key is to have a high speed wifi router as this camera is capable of streaming in high quality in full resolution or it can be directly wired into the ethernet port to make it easier. The camera is easy to use with the Imou app where you have full control of the camera including things like the privacy mode similar to other Imou cameras. The privacy mode allows the camera to flip towards the wall making you feel a lot more comfortable when needed. The camera is compatible with the standard home assistants such as google and alex which is great for notifications and smarthome actions. Alongside the camera’s sd card storage the camera can also have cloud storage enabled which makes it easy to view and share the footage. Overall it’s an excellent camera, it’s easy to set up, has a high resolution and paired with an excellent app which makes it easy to use on a day to day basis.
great features, but app could be more intuitive
This Imou camera has a lot of useful features for monitoring my home. The 3K image quality is sharp and the pet detection reliably picks up my cat’s movements, even in a dimly lit room. Motion tracking works smoothly and the 360 coverage means I don’t miss anything. I also appreciate the full colour night vision, it’s much clearer than the black and white feeds I’m used to. The one touch call is a fun way to interact with my family remotely. My only issue is that the app interface feels a bit cluttered and takes some time to get used to. Once you figure it out, it’s powerful, but the learning curve might be steep for less tech savvy users. It’s a solid indoor camera with advanced features.
