Good stuff
Works really well and easy to put up. Light is nice and bright. I bought a non branded one from Amazon which was a by poor and flimsy but this one is more solid and well built.
Simple to install, although make sure the feed wire is behind the small entry section – there is no side exit for wires running down/up the wall. I was a little dubious of the light level but it’s quite bright and not that horrible white light a lot of newer ones tend to be. I’ve set it to come on for one minute and works to perfection. When you first install it the light comes on in the daylight when it detects movement, but resets after 6 hours to only work when it’s dark.
I recently installed the Philips 21W 3000 lm LED Security Light and I’m extremely impressed. The brightness is outstanding—the 3000 lumens really illuminate my driveway and backyard without being harsh. The 5000K daylight color makes everything crisp and clear at night.
The PIR motion sensor works flawlessly, detecting movement quickly and turning the light on instantly. I also appreciate that it’s waterproof, so I don’t have to worry about rain or snow affecting performance. Installation was straightforward, and the light feels solid and durable.
Overall, this is an excellent value for anyone looking for a reliable, bright, and smart outdoor security light. I feel much safer knowing it’s there, and it looks great too! Highly recommended.
Lights are made of metal – LEDs are super bright – sensor is REALLY easy to program and set up (usually they come with little dials that you have to turn up/down in order to guess sensitivity/duration… this has a couple of switches to decide sensitivity of catchment area and the duration that the light stays on).
VERY well made – seals seem really tight, so looks like it will last a good few years.
Mains powered (this was a replacement for an old one – so it was easy just to use the same cable).
Very well designed and I would say fair value. Functionality does what it says on the tin with good floodlight coverage to light up the rear of the house when we need it, or put anyone we don’t want well and truly in the spotlight!

I bought two of these and they are easy to fit. No cable supplied (obviously) but don’t expect it to arrive with a plug and lead. I would say good quality, easy to fit and bright BUT I have noticed a problem in my installation. One of them is to light up a parking area and the light does NOT detect the car which is a nuisance. It only turns on when it detects actual human movement. I suspect it is optimised for human heat, not metal cars…. That’s an issue for me I need to find a workaround. It works seamlessly for person detection and the one I have to light up the walkway to my front door, is excellent. I had not considered whether or not this would detect a car, so a bit disappointing in that regard.
