A cool idea that’s great for a little added security
It’s reasonably sturdy and easy to install with numerous sizes available to hopefully suit your requirements
It’s good value for money and a small price to pay for a little more safety
Fitting the bar into the track base of a patio door is done in seconds. There are multiple length options so you have no difficulty in getting the correct length. You should be able to fit to within a few millimetres. Any small gap doesn’t matter as the door will only move those millimetres.
The bar can be fitted in the groove or, as shown by the manufacturer, at some height up the door. In the groove, the bar is out of sight. Further up, the bar offers a visual deterrent. It requires a precise fit, if it is not to be dislodged if not securely fixed in place.
