Good but not the bes
Bought this lock(Yale Anti-Snap 3 Star) and one from a diffent manufacture the greenteQ Orion TS007. Both very good locks, but I prefered the greenteQ because the key fits and turns easier.
Great quality, worth the extra price point. Nice size thumb turn.
before purchasing, I wasn’t sure if this would be worth the higher purchase price, however, on receiving & fitting it, I’m glad I spent the extra. Nice quality including the 3 supplied keys. The thumb turn on the inside has a large knob and is great for elderly residents, these are the later type which don’t stop the key opening from the outside, if the thumb turn is used inside.
Strange that to fit it you need to feed it from the outside rather than inside, as otherwise, there are balls that prevent installation. It doesn’t tell you in the box or instructions!
Fortunately, I got a video on YT that explained this (not from Yale I have to say!) then it was a quick and happy install.
This is the only thumb screw 3 star cylinder than can be used with the Nuki Smart Lock as the thumb turn is very slim whilst all other cylinders have bulky ones. I was able to modify (drill and break off the hard plastic) the Nuki mount so this would fit and saved myself some money – Nuki Ultion cylinder 75 vs Yale 3 star 23.
Very happy with this cylinder and has worked perfectly with the Nuki.
Nuki smart lock needed a replacement cylinder that can with with a key on the inside and outside at the same time. I was having a hard time finding one so thought I’d go with a thumb turn to be safe. This has the bonus that the nuki fits over the thumb turn without needing an adapter (although they’ll send you one free if you prefer). Installed and works really well can can still open it from the outside with a key if needed
