Cilindro de calidad
Positivo: gran calidad! Doble embrague (podr abrir con otra llave puesta, comprobado).
Negativo: tornillo de sujecin del cilindro pequeo, tuve que usar el tornillo antiguo. La leva es un poco ms gruesa y no se puede apretar mucho los tornillos del escudo para un correcto funcionamiento.
Bought this to replace an LSH/ERA euro lock that failed.
Euro cylinder locks are very simple to replace. There are lots of youtube video’s. Just make sure that you get the correct size replacement. The simplest way to do this is to measure your existing lock. The measurements are from the center of the retaining screw to the internal and external sides of the lock. If the measurements are not the same make sure you know which one is for the external and which is the internal as not all replacements fit both ways round.
There are two small knobs on the side of this lock. These are visible in the product picture. They are called grip deflectors and are meant to make gripping the cylinder more difficult when someone is breaking in… I suspect that this is after the first part has snapped off.
I’ve checked a lot of different replacements and yale appears to be the only company that has some of its euro cylinder locks with this feature.
The lock I was replacing did not have these little knobs on it and the lock did not fit with them still present. I just cut them off with a hacksaw and filed what was left of the raised bits down. The cylinder lock was a very tight fit.
The lock now fits fine and works as one would expect.
Having just had an extension with bifold doors added to the house it annoys me that the locks fitted to, what were very expensive doors, were so cheap.
Replacement locks are easy to fit, you info one screw, slide the old lock out and slide the new one in.
Obviously you need to measure the existing lock so you know what size to order. Again this is easy, just undo the retaining screw, slide the lock out and then measure the distance from one face of the lock to the middle and then from the middle to other lock race in millimetres. Mine were 40:40, but often one distance is longer than the other.
This type of key removes the worry about people picking the lock or using bump keys.
It comes with 3 keys and a plastic ID card which you’ll need if you want to get more keys cut.
These are a useful safety measure. Well made and easy to fit.

After losing keys and having to call a locksmith out to enter our property it was easy to see how quickly gaining entry to a property could be if you know what to do. The locksmith recommended a 3 star product to make life more difficult for a would be thief and the yale item fits the bill. Please make sure you measure carefully and you will probably need to remove the handle and internal / external plates to fit this as it has protrusions to stop the lock being forced out – don’t file them down as a quick way to install! Overall took 5 minutes to fit and comes with high security yale keys and a security card for ordering replacements from Yale. Highly recommend for the small price above a standard cheap and insecure cylinder.
Very good locks. Fairly easy to install. Not as easy as a normal euro cylinder lock as the lock has to small domes towards the centre of the lock that aren’t present on a regular lock. This just makes it a tighter fit in the door lock mechanism. But you may experience issues getting it passed your upvc door hole. The plastic will need widening ever so slightly. I did this using a dremel but you could do it with a small file Aswell.
When trying to push the lock into the mechanism you may feel it’s quite tight and you may think I will just give it a tap with a small hammer. DO NOT DO THIS. These locks are designed to come apart on the front when tampered with so it Keeps the criminal out as they can’t get to the rest of the lock.
Keys are quite expensive for these if you need them cutting. If you buy from Yale you have to buy 3 keys min and they will charge you 30+10p&p and it will take 4 weeks for them to be delivered.
There are other sites out there that are more reasonable but remember your going to supply your address and the key codes to this company. To be sure it’s best to have them delivered to another address.
Excellent lock. Arrived promptly and was exactly as described. We previously had a cheaper lock and you can instantly tell from the movement that this is robust and secure. Keys are also very secure and solid. Spares cost around 12 each at Timpsons. I’d also recommend the yale website where you register your cylinder; if ordering four or more they work out the same price as the high street but are genuine and you can tell the difference in quality.
Make sure you know which measurement is the external, as one of the security measures on this lock means it can’t be used both ways, which some locks allow.
Also, this was purchased for around 20 less than screwfix and B&Q wanted! This product doesn’t come in the hard plastic retail packaging but is completely genuine. Would highly recommend it. Going to buy two more, keyed alike, for the rest of the house.
