What else?
Yes. The eufyCam S3 Pro not only supports MaxColor Night Vision Mode, but also provides Adaptive Spotlight Mode and Infared Night Vision Mode to meet your needs when in different lighting conditions.
Does it work with Homebase 2?
No, the eufyCam S3 Pro only works with Homebase S380 (Homebase 3).
How do I set up the eufyCam S3 Pro for Apple HomeKit?
To use the product with Apple HomeKit, ensure the eufy app, camera(v3.0.9.3 or higher) and Homebase S380(v3.5.9.7 or higher) is up to date. Add the camera and Homebase via the eufy app and complete “HomeKit Setup” in Homebase settings.
Can MaxColor Vision work in total darkness?
It depends on how much clarity you need. The product offers various night vision modes. In complete darkness (like indoor spaces, enclosed backyards, or low-light suburban areas), using a infrared light is advisable for enhanced clarity.
Does the system support 5G Wi-Fi and 24/7 recording?
The camera only supports 2.4G Wi-Fi.
To record 24/7, connect your eufyCam S3 Pro to an power adapter and switch it to wired mode in the eufy App.

I bought this system to replace my old Arlo setup. Arlo kept increasing the annual subscription but with very little additional benefit being seen and not even remedying some of the annoyances. So after cancelling the subscription with them and deleting all the emails offering to give me discounts if I stayed (why not just give the discounts?), I set up my new Eufy system and it’s a dream.
Easy to set up, efficient, effective and practical. I’ve added another standalone camera to it since and it all works nicely.
The only negative is the ads for other products in the app. I don’t want one of their robot vacuum cleaners, but I suspect that even if I bought one, the ad would still show. But I can’t complain, seeing as there’s no subscription now.
Obsessed with this system. OBSESSED!
Is it too dramamtic to say I am OBSESSED with the eufy system? Seriously. This setup is on a whole different level compared to my previous system (from a very popular brand that shall remain unnamed, iykyk). This one is way more intuitive, easier to manage, and just feels smarter overall. Super easy for a non-tech savvy gal like me.
First of all the video quality? Perf. The nighttime looks like daytime. I was not expecting it to be that clear without blasting a spotlight everywhere, but here we are. Bonus points that I can toggle on and off basically EVERYTHING woth these cameras, something my old system severely lacked on. It’s crisp and you can actually see what’s going on instead of grainy blobs.
The motion detection is also sooo much better. I’m not getting spammed every time a leaf moves, which is such a relief. And can we talk about the solar situation? Probably my biggest point for raving like a lunatic on this review. It came with an external solar panel too (maybe I missed that in the description, I dunno), but that was such an incredibly thoughtful surprise. Most companies you have to pay out the wallet for extra bits and bobs like that and they just threw one in like it was no problem? A lil freebie? Sweeties. Feel super valued as a customer for sure. I love that you can use the built in panel or add the external one for extra coverage. It just makes the whole system feel complete and and gives some serious peace of mind for my front camera that is typically pretty shaded. No monthly fees is the straight up cherry on top, i got SO sick of paying monthly fees on… the other brand. Local storage, expandable options, easy app control it just works. Setup was smooth, everything feels premium, and I finally feel like my home security is actually secure instead of hoping for the best. Couldn’t be happier with my experience as a whole. There is a tiny lag when opening an event but its so miniscule it does not bother me, plus it is recording the whole time so no capturing worries.
I was reticent initially about buying this product as it was a considerable outlay for a system. The reviews all looked positive and the video reviews added additional confidence in the purchase. They arrived the same day when ordered early in the morning. I’m no DIYer and was apprehensive about setting the cameras up, ladders aren’t my thing! However I was surprised how easy it was and it only took me all told 2hrs to install and set up with a fully functioning easy to use, security system. The picture quality and functionality of the system in entirety is superb and brilliant quality. It’s a perfect fit for what I needed and I’m now even thinking of adding additional pieces (upto 16 on the Homebase system) as time progresses and need arises. I can highly recommend this for anyone looking for an all in one security system that you don’t have to pay a subscription for!

I have been waiting for cameras like these to be released for many years. Finally the wait is over. I bought the Eufy S3 Pro 2 x camera and base unit on their release day for my house. I was that impressed with the cameras, the system, the recordings, the daytime night vision (it really is that good and really works, it’s like magic – they are not set to this out of the box you need to go into settings to enable this mode – there are other nighttime modes to choose from as well) and the solar charging, that I recommended them to two friends (who also bought this system and are as impressed as myself) and I also bought a second 2 x cameras & base unit to install for use at the office. For me the full HomeKit integration with Apple HomeKit AND HomeKit secure video is the reason why I have been waiting so long for something as good and as easy to install as the Eufy S300 Pro. Homekit is not essential for these cameras to work, arguably using the Eufy app is a better experience, but I’m an Apple HomeKit fan. HomeKit compatibility is a rarity and HomeKit secure video is even more a rarity especially with them being outdoor wireless solar charged cameras. Well done Eufy, adding all of these features into your cameras and system is very refreshing and has been the reason why I bought the system. My friends who also bought them (mentioned earlier) do not use them with HomeKit, solely with the Eufy app and they could not be happier. One major selling point is that unlike others, Eufy do not charge monthly subscription fees for their cameras / recordings. If you are looking to buy cameras I would suggest you need to be aware of this. The Eufy cameras are fully featured and available without their software being restricted right out of the box. I previously used Arlo cameras (3 x Arlo ultra) but never liked them. The cameras were ok but their system was terrible. I have taken them down and sold them on. They have been replaced by the Eufy cameras and system. The Eufy ones, not just as cameras but as a whole system are night and day different to Arlo. I felt I was ripped off with Arlo, I didn’t fully understand that my security cameras would effectively be useless unless I paid Arlo a monthly subscription fee. Without paying the fee I could not view the recordings on the Arlo system remotely (away from home) unless I opened up some ports on my router / firewall (that didn’t sound very secure to do), I could also not create action zones (zones where you draw a box around an area where you want to record but not record or send alerts outside of this area), these are major things, essentials even. Arlo are the security cameras that don’t want to give you much security unless you pay them monthly to do so. Eufy has been a great breath of fresh air. These cameras are great and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a home security camera system. The image quality, the recordings, the notifications have been great. Well done Eufy, keep up the good work. It’s great to see you have fully adopted HomeKit and looking forward to more HomeKit devices from you in the future.
