Simple extra layer of privacy and security
This is one of those products that you may not think about needing until you actually have a reason to block signals from a phone, key fob, or cards. The pouch is a convenient size, and I like that it can be used for several different types of items rather than being designed for only one purpose.
It is also easy to store in a purse, glove compartment, desk drawer, or at home without taking up much room. The fact that it is water resistant is another nice extra for something that may end up being carried around regularly.
Overall, this is a simple security accessory that does not require any setup or electronics. If you want an easy way to block wireless signals from certain devices, this is a practical option to keep on hand.
I also appreciate that it is something you can use only when you need it rather than having to change your normal routine. It is small enough to keep nearby, and when you want that extra layer of privacy or signal blocking, it is there without being complicated.
Safe and flexible way to shield small items from Wireless
There are multiple reasons you might want to shield something from wireless connectivity. You might have a key fob that you want to prevent from being recognized by the car or cloned by a nearby thief. You might have credit cards or a passport with an RFID chip that you want to keep from being snooped while traveling. You might have a phone that you want to prevent from connecting to anything wirelessly. For all of these needs, a Faraday bag shields the item inside from connecting to anything outside the bag.
This small Faraday bag is made from soft pliable material inside and out. Anything you put in the bag will not only be safe from wireless connectivity, but also protected from bumps and scratches. The outside looks like rip-stop nylon and the inside looks like silvered nylon. The opening is full-width so you can maximize what can fit inside. The bottom has a protected seam to not only keep the wireless blocking secure but also keep the bag’s bottom neat.
Put anything you want inside and roll down the top a few times. Then buckle it to keep it rolled closed. There is also a plastic carabiner to clip it to something if needed.
For sizing, it’s plenty big enough for car fobs and credit cards. While in the bag, my car did not respond to the key fob sealed in the bag and I presume any credit cards inside would be invisible to passers by with credit card sniffers. My iPhone 17 Pro Max just barely fit in with a thin case and while in the bag, it did not connect to Bluetooth headphones nor did it connect to my WiFi or the AT&T cellular network. The bag just barely fit my US Passport if you wedge it in carefully, and will definitely not hold two of them if traveling with others.
The bag is super light so it won’t weigh you down when traveling. While the bag itself is water resistant, it is not completely waterproof. The rolled top prevents wireless transmissions but is not watertight. This means the things inside will remain dry in a light rain or if something spills on the bag, but it is not recommended for situations when the bag may get really wet or submerged like at the beach or when participating in water sports.
If you have a need to keep things from being connected to wirelessly and they’ll fit inside, this bag will work really well. It will keep your credit cards or a single passport from being snooped, your car key fobs from triggering your nearby car or being cloned and your phone won’t connect to anything wirelessly like GPS, Bluetooth, Cellular or WiFi – all while being lightweight and splash resistant.
Does not fit iPhone 13
This faraday cage bag is pretty and seems well made. I chose the pink colour and it’s a nice magenta type shade.
The bag can be folded over and clipped to keep it from opening. There is also a small carabiner clip attached to the side. The trim on the top and bottom feels like a plastic type of “leather” (polyurethane) and I know those end up peeling so I hope this holds up. The fabric exterior and interior feels like a nylon material.
I think it’s well sewn and feels durable. I thought I would be able to fit my iPhone 13 but it is a bit too narrow for that, so I couldn’t fit it in there. Perhaps without my phone case I could.
The bag holds cash, coins, cards easily. I was hoping it was a tiny bit larger to hold my phone but it does not. So if you’re looking for one for your phone, this may not work for that.
Wow, I didn’t think this would work! I put my iPhone 17 pro max in it and had friends ring and text me and I can confirm that it works well! It totally blocked the signals and prevented my phone from receiving and data etc. it’s a very compact little bag, well made with a clip to seal your phone inside. It’s perfect if you want to protect your phone or cards even your keys from sending out signals which could be a security risk to you. Inexpensive and pretty cool design it works and will give some peace of mind.
This item arrived in a clear bag. It consists of a pink pouch with a clip fastening. It also has a carabiner so you can connect it to something safe, but it’s made from plastic and doesn’t give the impression that it’s sturdy and built to last. The clip is also made from plastic and again it doesn’t fill me with confidence that is made to last.
This item is to ensure that your car keys are kept safe and can’t be cloned.
This item is like a long pouch and you fold the top down then use the clip to secure it.
As can be seen in the 3rd photo, I have quite a few different things attached to my keys but they still easily fit into this pouch.
It may look to be a bit on the big side but it folds down to whatever size you need it to be.
These type of pouches not only protect you from people trying to clone your phone but they also protect you from accidently pressing buttons on your car remote and unlocking your car.
While having my car keys loose in my bag, I managed to press something against the buttons and it opened all my windows, these Faraday pouches ensure that I won’t be caught out like that again.
