The item arrived and was better than I had expected. It fitted my slk r171 perfectly. The metal steel cable core was relatively thick and covered in a smoky clear plastic tube. I found it very easy to loop around the steering wheel and clicks into these seat belt mechanism nice and easy. To release it a twist of the key and the unlocks effortlessly. I like the bright yellow cover because when a potential thief shines his flashlight through the window That yellow section will be very visible. The black part that clips over and surrounds the seat belt mechanism offers suffice protection. This is exactly what I want something not too big but when taken off can be easily stored on a side. I think this product’s represents excellent value for money. It sure does look very durable and not so easy to destroy and like others have said it is just an extra layer of deterrent which can save the day.
