Does what it's supposed to do
This was a replacement for my old monitor which had came to the end of its life. This one does exactly the same job. Battery operated and compact so it can be placed anywhere.
Good peace of mind
Simple product that was easily wall mounted near my combi boiler.
Unlike FireAngel products, the screws provided with Kidde products do not seem to round off under the slightest screwdriver pressure so that’s a bonus.
Good price
Good price for what I need. It works when you press the testing button. However, I don’t actually know if it really works or not because when I tried to put it close to the wooden burner, it didn’t beep.
Simple and works well
Put the batteries included in and it is good to go. It’s got a good little test sequence and does what it is meant to. The alarm has a very loud beep.
The Carbon Monoxide alarm received appears to work well, and the sound emitted is plenty loud enough. The majority of the reviews highlight the fault light coming on when testing, this is something that I’d consider to be normal as it doesn’t persist to turn on when it flashes in regular use, rather it’s the ‘alarm’ and ‘operate’ lights which flash during usage. The Fault light turns on so that we know what it looks like is what I assume. Overall, the product is reasonably sized and can fit in most places and is easy to install with batteries, and it’s ability to mount with screws and adhesive is possible and easily done with red screw covers, so that you drill the perfect sized hole. It’s important to understand the usage of this product as it is a very important product and part of a hole where almost anything can happen. The product is safe to use when mounted or with strong adhesive strips which can be used to place them almost anywhere (ceiling or high wall), and looks simple and functional to use. Great produc

Not much can be said it’s a detector and we can only comment on its efficiency if we have a leak, which we don’t want. Looks good. Delivered in excellent time. Easy to install. Correct size for the space we had.

Good little CO detectors but strangely it was significantly cheaper to buy 2 single ones than a twin pack buy hey ho whatever and I like that these ones don’t have the stupid built in battery so are not limited if the battery fails prematurely.
Will save us from being poisoned by our own gas hob
As you know carbon monoxide is a silent killer in the home. It has no sound and no smell. Even if you gas appliances are regularly checked it still makes perfect sense to ensure you have a carbon monoxide detector in your home.
So it was a no brainer for us to replace like for like when our last Kiddi carbon monoxide detector finally gave up the ghost after 10 years of constant use (they emite a warning siren when ready to change).
The batteries in the old one were replaced only a handful of times in a decade, I expect this new one will be the same – so good value for money and a long shelf life.
Overall, I can now sleep happy.
Excellent produc
Can only recommend this carbon monoxide alarm. After recent gas check I have been told the previous alarms I had were not uk approved and also failed to notify me of a current leak I had of carbon monoxide in my house. Luckily it was found by the gas engineer who also recommend this brand. I have purchased it and delivery was super quick, product was delivered the next day and works like a charm.
If you want a UK approved alarm this is the one to go with.
A bit fiddly to get it working
I had trouble getting this to start working. A battery comes with the unit however the battery is supplied loose and I had no idea if it held a charge. It took several attempts to get the unit to start working once battery was installed. It seems to be ok.
Simple to use mobile safety item.
This was purchased to replace an out of safety/life date on original Kidde unit, located near our central heating/water oil boiler.
This unit would also appear to be excellent unit to take with you when on holiday in a self contained apartment, B&B, or anywhere while you are on holiday.
May be a life saver.
Great for the price
We already had one of these but it had reached its end of life so purchased another. We had previously purchased different ones in the past but they didn’t last anywhere near as long. Can’t comment on how well it works as the alarm has never gone off but I guess that’s a good thing. Came with batteries too which was handy. P

Our old carbon monoxide detector was life exspired and we needed a new one, his was an updated one. Now in position, can see the green light flashing so all good .simple to set up, well worth the money for peace of mind.

Like many, having a gas boiler always can emit nasty gases at some point, best to have an alarm like this to save you and your family should something go wrong
Seems good quality. Note that the instruction manual says that when you test the alarm there are 9 beeps in total and that they are all “loud”. I noticed that the first four beeps of my alarm were low volume and not loud. Customer service were helpful and confirmed that there is nothing wrong with my alarm and that their instruction manual is incorrect. Hopefully this helps someone

I have this in my little ones room as the boiler is in there, works well so far as I test it once a week and no problems with it. had for about 6 months now.

Product good and as described. Delivery on the day as promised but just left by front door with a brief knock on the front door, no waiting for an answer, though we were in. That’s Amazon. Good job it wasn’t raining as the package was just paper.
Improved over old versio
Looks similar to the one it replaces, but now only requires two AA batteries, not three. And they come with it. And they are Duracell branded, not some cheap rubbish ones. Should last 10 years like the last one did.
This item arrived well packaged and in the allotted delivery time. It is really easy to install. I didn’t use the wall fixings, but it just sits on the top of my cupboard in the lounge. I didn’t realise that it had to be placed high up; I hadn’t done this with my last monitor. Also be aware that these monitors have a battery life; so don’t be caught out, you will have to replace after so many years (it tells you on the monitor how long the battery lasts).

I bought this after my last carbon monoxide monitor ran out. My boiler technician advised that they must be replaced on the date given. This is a nice small unit that was very easy to set up. Just pop in the batteries provided and press the big button on the front to test. It goes through a short bleep sequence so you know its working.

Great Carbon Monoxide Alarm!
Bought this when I moved into my new house and it was really easy to set up. I have it in the cupboard with the boiler so I haven’t had to attach it to the wall, but it looks easy enough to do. The batteries haven’t needed to be changed in over 7 months so you really can just set it up and let it do its job without thinking about it. When I first set it up I did use the test function just so I would know what it sounds like and you would definitely know if you had a problem since it is so loud – which is exactly what you want from a Carbon Monoxide alarm! I would definitely recommend getting one for peace of mind!

Compact and easy to install. Comes with the necessary fixing. I screwed into drywall without the stud (location of the stud was not aesthetically suitable) but this was not an issue given this unit is light enough to hold tight.

Literally a life save
This product is made by a good company and I have placed my under the boiler so didn’t even need to fix to the wall. Does the job and comes supplied with first lot of batteries.

Just installed today to replace older model of same alarm. Only one fault. One of the batteries keeps coming out of place in the middle. There are 3 altogether. However when in situ alarm appears to work correctly.

Purchased for second time
I’ve had these installed 20 years ago. A house fire started across the road and the fire brigade dropped a leaflet through the door recommending to replace smoke alarms every few years. I bought the the same one as last time.
