Liked the compact size and the fact it could be free standing
I bought this to replace a ten year old version, so at a cost of about 1 or 2 per year worked out to be inexpensive peace of mind.
Easy to fit – has a back plate you hook over a screw head.
Came with a set of batteries which you can test to see if and when they need replacements.

Bought this when I moved into my new house and it was really easy to set up. I have it in the cupboard with the boiler so I haven’t had to attach it to the wall, but it looks easy enough to do. The batteries haven’t needed to be changed in over 7 months so you really can just set it up and let it do its job without thinking about it. When I first set it up I did use the test function just so I would know what it sounds like and you would definitely know if you had a problem since it is so loud – which is exactly what you want from a Carbon Monoxide alarm! I would definitely recommend getting one for peace of mind!
Ten minutes to install, instructions very clear. Just remember the battery does need replacing periodically, however the unit beeps when the battery life is low.
Can’t comment on battery life, but all easy to set up and test.

Compact and easy to install. Comes with the necessary fixing. I screwed into drywall without the stud (location of the stud was not aesthetically suitable) but this was not an issue given this unit is light enough to hold tight.

Had a new boiler fitted. Gasafe engineer as part of their duties had been told to sell own companies product at twice the cost of this, they suggested this brand as half the price, easy to install, easy instructions.would recommend

Bought this as the one in the property broke. It came just as described. It is good value fir money and looks quality enough for me. It was very easy to follow the instructions and install. It works perfectly.

Good price easy to test and set up. Wall mountable or free standing. Don’t know if the battery will last 10 years but who cares if it doesn’t its a small price to pay for something that could save your life.
Easy to set up, with clear instructions, however unsure about 10 year life as advertised, clearly states 7 years . A simple basic device, but why pay more as long as it warns you that’s all you want . Satisfied.
We were advised by our gas boiler engineer to get a Carbon Monoxide Alarm as the gas boiler was in the vicinity of our bedrooms .
It was so easy to fit , matched our decor and should last for 10 years.

Just installed today to replace older model of same alarm. Only one fault. One of the batteries keeps coming out of place in the middle. There are 3 altogether. However when in situ alarm appears to work correctly.
Just take out of box put it were you want it to be,and it’s under the 10 years legislatio
I’ve had these installed 20 years ago. A house fire started across the road and the fire brigade dropped a leaflet through the door recommending to replace smoke alarms every few years. I bought the the same one as last time.
The only minor problem was fitting the batteries with arthritic fingers, they required a hefty push

Installed in my camper van. Every camper should have one of these and a fire extinguisher.
No idea if this works. Yes it has a test button but really could be a box that only goes off when I press a button.

A very necessary alarm to have in the home and this fits the bill perfectly.
Had to replace previous one as use by date had passed. This one has changeable batteries, so should go on and on keeping us safe.
Bought this to replace one I had for 7 years. Batteries last a long time and let you know when they need changing. It flashes red when working, which can be seen only in the dark.
Could not be any easier to set up and install great safety features.

The batteries come with the pack but don’t really say which way you fold back the clips to insert the batteries.

Booklet lots of information doesn’t really explain very well ( no graphics) where you should place the alarm.
The back plate/ battery case is how you hang the unit again dissatisfied as it doesn’t really clip into place and you have to use this as the template for the fixings.

Second one I’ve bought. Used Velcro coins to put it on the wall above kitchen door. Easy installation that way with no drilling or nails/screws needed.

I bought this after (what I thought) the old one started beeping. Letting me know it needed replacing.
So I bought this one as it was the same one as the last one.
Turns out I bought a spare as the beeping one was an old one on the shelf that we didn’t use.
Never hurts to have a spare as they have 10 years life.
Use this as replacement for ‘out of date’ item which actually detected carbon monoxide leak after having a new boiler fitted – hope it works as well.

There are a couple of screw holes in the back and screws and rawlplugs provided – but I just placed on a flat surface next to my boiler….job done!

I ordered four alarms and they arrived within 36 hours. Good quality and easy to use. I have had this make previously but they became out of date so happy to order same again.

The product itself is as expected, but the delivery driver requires reading lessons or map reading skills, left it in the next street so i am luck to have got it at all !!!
The unit is small and easy to test – it is also portable as its shape allows it to be placed on a flat surface (although it does have the fittings to place on a wall). This was handy as I could take it with me recently to a caravan holiday for additional safety.
One of these was already fitted when I bought my house, so this was just a replacement. Very easy to install as screws were in the same place. Very neat and does the job as it bleeps when batteries are low and it’s easy to do a regular check.

I brought these over a year ago and still haven’t had to change the batteries, they do what they say on the tin, we keep one in the living room and one in the kitchen and do a test every couple of weeks! Would recommend to anyone that needs a carbon monoxide detecto
Only issue would be the installation instructions- there are none. It’s quite straight forward anyway but I would’ve rathered to have an instruction pack included so I wouldn’t have to guess the screw mm
Does what it should. Easy to use, comes with screws and rawl plugs and it’s also free standing, so if like me you can’t be bothered to drill into the wall, you don’t have to!
Easy to install yourself and very easy to understand instructions with test buttons.
The initial calibration and beeping might drive you mad, and the batteries seemed to go opposite to the negative-spring orientation I was expecting, but once it settles down it is fine and has a test button on the front.
I needed a new carbon monoxide detector. It was a bit fiddly and didn’t balanced tidy. I had to put something underneath to.make it level on my unit. It was more to do with that than the detector.

Bought two of these CO (not CO2 as some reviewers have stated!) alarms for my kids when they went off to Uni. I am glad I did, as one had a boiler cupboard in her bedroom, so we placed it just inside the cupboard right next to the boiler. I would not have been happy for her to sleep in the room without this device being present. Easy to set up with a piercingly load alarm so impossible to ignore if it does go off. Obviously not possible to know exactly how effective they are until something goes wrong and CO is released, which will hopefully be never.
Takes up very little room and it can be fixed to a wall or free standing. Very pleased.
I received this monitor the day after I ordered, easy to set up instructions and barriers were supplied. I can’t praise this supplier enough for being print and sending a great monitor.
These are compact and work well but I’ve taken a star off because the first one only lasted a year before failing completely. Other than that they work very well as far as I can tell.
I got this on the advice of my gas man so won’t know if it works unless i have a carbon m leak-I have tested it and the alarm works-so fingers crossed

Item arrived quickly and as described by the seller. Only issue I had was getting the batteries in as one kept springing out, hence the 4 star rating, otherwise all good.
This carbon monoxide alarm is very easy to use, good quality and was delivered well packaged. Easy to secure to the wall if not wanting this to be a mobile unit. Very loud piercing noise that would not go unnoticed if this needed to alert the homeoccupiers to a leak
Delivery was excellent the product was flimsy and trying to get the batteries in was difficult took a few goes to assemble
Only issue is that it should come with flathead screws. The roundhead ones that come with the alarm, scratch the back of the battery and they’re cheap too. Installation should never compromise battery safety, however as long as you’re not constantly hanging and removing the alarm from the wall, batteries will be okay.
I needed to replace my current carbon monoxide alarm so opted for the same make and model as I knew it worked. I just stand it on the wooden plinth above my door and it sits there quietly protecting my home.
Only received this safety device two days ago, but it appears to be a well made product. I just hope it never needs to work in reality !!.
