    WOW What a machine !
Best decision I have made was to buy this machine…….would recommend.

I have three dogs – one being a Lab and it is fab at removing loose unwanted hair!
Easy to use, lightweight, smart looking. VERY USABLE.

    surprisingly good love this
My only negative is the cord is not as long as I like – I have to unplug to get to all the rooms – however a minor gripe only

    Amazing piece of ki
I had to jump on here and write a review. This is amazing, suction is second to none. It’s not the lightest hoover but that doesn’t affect my write up on this. Iv Gone from a Vax cordless (which I had so many problems with batteries dying which it turn affected use) but I couldn’t be more happier with this. Price and performance is just brilliant, should of purchased years ago.

    Absolutely amazing for pet hair!!
Night and day difference between this vacuum and my old one. I’m chuffed to bits with this purchase! Amazing value for the quality. It’s lightweight, very manoeuvrable and lifts up dirt and cat hair efficiently. Also significantly quiet. I would definitely recommend

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWoooow
We had 3 different leading brands hoovers but none of them were even close as good as this one! We hoovered whole living room carpet with our old hoover and then did the same room with shark look at the pic! Unbelievable! I would never go back to anything else but shark! Super flexible, powerful, silent absolute gem on the market.

    Good Value
My Hoover (the brand) vaccum started smoking when I was using it after almost 6 years. It was a great vac well built and ideal for pet hair as I have a Siberian Husky.

I decided not to bother getting that vac repaired as I believe it has served its purpose and it was time to retire it. I was going to by another one from Hoover but I was reading reviews about Shark so I decided instead of paying 499 like I did for my old vac it take a punt on a Shark whilst it was on offer at 149.

I got the basic model NV602UKT with the pet tool. It arrived in a brown box and in the brown box was a nice glosy Shark box.

All tools and the vac itself was individually wrapped it protective paper bags to prevent damages which was great.

When put together the vac was very light weight compared to my previous one. One gripe though the build quality isn’t as good as I expected it felt cheap and flimsy.

But by heck the vac is amazing at picking up husky fluff down side is the dust/dirt compartment is very small so had to empty it quite often.

My living room carpet is very thick and it was a nightmare to use this vac on full suction setting I had to use 2 hands one to hold the vac down the other to push pull. The pull back was so annoying as the vac keeps jumping.

The other rooms carpets where not as think as my living room so that was a breeze to use.

If you have thick carpet just reduce the suction power to make it easier to push but expect the vac to still keep jumping as you pull back.

It’s a great vac dispute the few flaws (in my honest opinion) I mentioned and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is fully able but if you are an elderly person you may find it too difficult to use do to it’s suction power especially if you have thick carpets.

I’m not sure if these flaws (IMHO) are just for the basic NV602UKT model or if they are all like this.

I have given this vac 4/5 due to the few flaws (IMHO).

    WOW! 😳
Oh wow this hoover is soo much better than my old vax…which went in the bin this morning as it had broke a few days ago. What a difference the shark is. The suction is amazing!!! I didnt want another cordless vac as the power doesnt last long so went back to a plug in model. I love the lift away function to do stairs & nooks & crannys made my carpets look like new again! A bit harder to push round than my old vac but i’m not bothered by this at all. A very worthy investment!

    Better than expected
I have owned a Shark for 6 years, but it stopped picking up. Read reviews that said new Shark could be difficult to push on carpets, but decided to opt for another Shark anyway. As soon as mine arrived, I assembled it in 2 minutes and vacuumed my lounge & conservatory. I vacuum most days anyway, so I was amazed how much debris was collected off 2 carpets! You can adjust the suction strength. The only slight annoyance on using it is that when you pull the vacuum backwards it “bounces” over the carpet, it’s OK when you push it forward. I’m very happy with its performance & hope it lasts as long as my other one.

Light in weight and well designed.
Excellent vacuum cleaner. Light weigh, quiet and easily disassembles for different tasks. Well thought out design. Powerful suction can be reduced by a valve in the handle, but it can still be a bit hard pushing against the nap of a deep carpet, in which case you can pull the machine or change direction. All in all very good value for money.

    Upgraded my hoove
I had a henry hoover before and fancied treating myself to a new hoover, I had 2 rabbits and have 2 kids and hoover at least twice a day, I used this in the front room firstly and it was pulling up the shake and vac I used months before on the floor, I couldn’t believe it, I now hoover once daily if not every 2 days and each time it pulls so much dust and hair up, it’s so gross but so so satisfying, i love seeing how much It pulls up each day, its great on hard floors too, it has a hard floor setting and carpet setting as well as a couple of different heads, it has a short handed pipe for stairs as well as a longer one for harder to reach places. Highly recommended

    Absalutely brilliant hoove
I have been using this hoover for about a month to give a fair review.
First impressions I was blown away with the amount of dust this hoover picked up compared to my previous older hoover. Really threw into prospective the high suction power of this hoover. Granted yes it can skip across the carpet when going against the pile for this reason, but that is a small price to pay for the results to come. I’ve had my carpet professionally cleaned a couple of months ago but this hoover has done a better job over time. I have used religiously twice a day in high traffic areas where the pile had been flattened and slightly discoloured from the dark grey it is. And slowly but surely this has started to raise the pile height and remove the slight off colour from pulling out deep set dirt. Making my carpet look remarkably new and soft.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for a deep cleaning machine at a reasonable price.

    Great Little Vacuum
I Love this Vacuum. Stairs can be such a Pain, but this make life so much easier. the cord is nice and long ( I bought Corded instead of cordless mainly because it seems no matter the make – the reviews all say not much on time after charging] this Vacuum is nice and easy to empty as well. I isn’t big and Bulky either, so nice to store. All in all – So Far am happy with it. will let u know if I feel differently over time.

    Really good deep cleane
I hesitated about this product, having been out off by comments that the cleaner was hard to push and suction too great. I am 71 and have serious problems with my back, so didn’t want anything too difficult to use or push around. I can only think that other people didn’t read the instructions and use the appropriate settings. This vacuum cleaner made my carpets look like new, yet was easy enough for me to manoeuvre and push around.
Easy to assemble the machine. Well packaged and quick delivery.

    Shark
I recently moved into a fully carpeted property, I have a Henry but it is awful on carpet, so always wanted a Shark. I read so many reviews on these hoovers all saying how good they are. OMG they were right. The suction on this hoover is mind blowing within a few minutes of using it I could see the waste tank filling up with dust and hair. The attachment for the stairs is brilliant so powerful. I thought the carpets were fairly clean until now when I saw how much dirt this Hoover was collecting. It’s also light weight ideal for lifting up stairs. I wouldn’t definitely recommend.

Having had a cordless vacuum for years I purchased this after thinking the cordless just wasn’t getting the job done. I tried it out for the first time today and am really pleased. I had shark vacuum cleaner before but this one is even better. I bought it to clean fur after my dog. She has a long fur that sticks to our carpet. I am happy, I recommend it, easy to empty. for linoleum use different heads because the main part of the vacuum is not good for this.

    Fantastic hoover - fully recommended
The shark vacuum arrived promptly and included clear instructions for set up. It is straightforward to use and has a steering system making it very manoeuvrable. It has a headlight on it to light up those dark places like under the sofa. It’s clip away system is easy to use making it light and portable for places like stairs. The animal hair removing tool is also great for stairs. The setting change for carpet to wooden or tiled floors is very easy to use. The suction is exceptional, but still enables easy manoeuvring. The emptying of the bag less dust container is a cinch. The only very small niggle is the unwieldy cable, having had a Henry before, we are used to slick cable storage. We are extremely pleased with our shark, would recommend to anyone.

Is it possible to fall in love with a vacuum cleaner ?
So ,I’ve been a dyson man for a very long time ,but they stopped selling corded vacuums , I’ve tried various cordless hoovers and they just don’t cut for me , yes they are slim and convenient, but lack power
However the shark ,or as I like to call it .. the beast ,is immense .
This thing will suck a golf ball through a garden hose or the chrome off a trailer hitch
Granted it may seem a little odd at first as you may need a little muscle to move it as it sucks so hard ,but Christ does it clean and lift the pile
I also love the pet tool, great for cleaning carpets ,it’s like a bloody chainsaw for you stairs !

Works perfectly every time & easy to clean.
When we used it for the first time we couldn’t believe how dirty our carpets had actually been even though we had vacuumed it with another brand once a week. We saw (and felt!) a clear difference instantly.

    Really pleased with mew vaccum
Really pleased with this. Looked up the Which cleaners before buying. Have had a Vax max air which was really light for several years. The suction power on this was even better. I have excess amounts of dog hair on a cream carpet so worked very well. I like that the cord has a loop, I had to keep looping round handle on vax. Also like the removal nozzle with attachment for the stairs. So far my only criticism would be that handle quite high, feel like I could lower but when using it its OK. Easy to remove cylinder and impressed by the ability to clean internal filter. I also like that the hose comes out half way up the vacuum, I had to keep bending down to floor level to take hose in and out of vax. Not used on kitchen floor yet. Will update. Which said not as brilliant on hard floor.

Gives Dyson a run for their money …
When I bought my first flat, I was a cleaning maniac. Fast forward 35 years and I have realised that actually, so long as food prep is hygienic, dust isn’t that important. So there I was, relaxing into retirement when OH got diagnosed with dust mite allergy. Yippee! Not. I bought this as it said that it was a great model to keep areas hypoallergenic with a fancy filter and whatnot. Certainly it’s powerful and the little light on the front is really useful for ensuring you reach all the nooks and crannies. It’s light too, although if you are using the wand you have to kind of hang onto the hose or the machine falls over but you can’t have it both ways, I suppose. So far so good, although more frequent hoovering didn’t seem to make much difference to OH and, as I knew it would, my enthusiasm for daily hoovering waned very quickly indeed. One thing I never gave any thought to was the filter that sits under the dust box and when I thought to check this, I was puzzled at first as it seemed to be made of a “fluffy, felt material”. I went online to buy a new one but all I could find was sponge so I looked again. The fluffy felt turned out to be hair, and now that’s been cleaned out, I bet the whole thing works a lot better. OH is now on mega strong anti histamines and they seem to be doing the trick but I am still pleased I bought this machine as it picks up a lot of stuff (and even more now all that hair has gone).

    Good little hoove
Bought this after my Dyson just gave up after 8 years of working brilliantly. This is working well & is so much easier to switch to handle use for corners & stairs & so much easier to empty. The suction is extremely strong when it’s on high which obviously makes it very difficult to move so check out the mode switches before giving up. I still think my Dyson went smoother round the house but I’m pleased with this as a slightly cheaper alternative

Wasn’t disappointed with this hoover at all the suction is brill and pulls things outs of the rugs and laminate you can’t with normal hoovers. The loft away part is brill for the stairs and ceilings or if you need to hoover out the car. It isn’t a light weight hoover but it’s certainly not the heaviest either and the spare attachments are just fab. Would highly recommend. Specially for the price I got it for.

    OMG
OK so 48 years old and been through dozens of hovers over the years. I have had Dyson hover miele and pretty much every other manufacturer there is available. I can hand on my heart say that I have never had a hoover where the suction is so strong that I could not push it across the carpet. This thing is amazing. Removed all the dog hairs first time and my collie leaves tonnes of them everywhere. The only downside from having got it to replace a Dyson is if you suck something up you shouldn’t and it blocks it the fact I had to get the tool kit out to dismantle the head was a pain. I do prefer the Dyson tool free approach but that being said so long as this lasts shark is the only hoover manufacturer I will be buying in the future

Bought this on Sunday and hoovered every room already, not impressed with it for hard floors but it’s done an amazing job on carpet. Slightly disappointing for the price but not much you can do. This vacuum certainly finds the dust!
This relatively lightweight machine has a powerful suction. I have been using it for a month and it has removed vast quantities of dirt/dust from my carpets. I have dogs and their coats drop lots of dirt into the carpets.
When I first used the Shark vacuum it was difficult to push across the floor so I resorted to pulling. I put this down to the amount of dirt it was sucking out of the carpets, easily a container per room!!
It now moves more easily moving forward and doesn’t find as much dirt.
The filters are easy to see and wash. I have washed them after each ‘assault’ on the carpets. They are not getting as filthy now after a month of usage.
I am impressed with how easy it is to remove, use and replace the wand.
Overall I am pleased that I purchased this Shark vacuum and that I read the reviews written by others, including WHICH.

    Sucker for quality
I have been using a Vax vacuum which I have found to be fairly heavy and not the easiest machine to manoeuvre on thick carpet. I hated pushing it around, found it very tiring so wasn’t overly disappointed when the drive shaft packed up and Vax offered no solutions. Looked at various options, studied reviews and bought the Shark whilst hoping it lived up to reviews.

Amazon delivered as efficiently as ever and I was looking forward to the “new toy”. Very impressed immediately by the extremely good and careful way in which everything was packaged with all items individually wrapped. Assembly was simplicity itself with everything connecting with a good solid “click”. It’s very easy to fit the accessories with the facility to store two pieces on the main unit itself. Switches are very good, positive movement and well placed for ease of use. Vacuuming the stairs was almost a pleasure, easy with powered lift-away unit being light, easy to detach and very light to carry up the stairs. Suction is fantastic and the adjustment is good also.
I have a cat who, believe it or not, used to love being vacuumed herself using the soft brush. It not only got rid of considerable cat fur but she enjoyed it. When the Shark arrived, she was a little nervy because it was very different to the Vax. Anyway, she took to it immediately and follows me around waiting for her regular grooming session !

I have to say this vacuum scores top marks in all aspects and I cannot recommend highly enough !

    Amazing
I love everything about this appliance. After four Dysons this machine is signicantly lighter and easier to lift. It has made my carpets look like new. I could not believe the amount of dust/fluff that filled the canister after the first use. It is relatively quiet too and works well on hard floors. My only criticism is the ugly on/off switch which makes the machine look a bit cheap. Overall great value for money.

After my previous cordless vacuum’s battery wouldn’t charge, i said to myself “No more cordless vacuums”. I purchased this shark and as soon as it was delivered, we tried it. What a powerful suction, it took a lot from the carpet that really shocked me. It’s like the carpet came back to people like life coz the colour was enhanced, a glow sort of. It’s not exactly long lightweight, I think it’s because of the powerful suction. Brilliant for stairs and it’s not too noisy. I love my shark

Nice looking vacuum with strong suctio
It’s very nice looking vacuum and very easy to put together and use, but very plasticky and difficult to manoeuvre on thick carpet when the suction is on full. I had to turn down the suction to minimum so I could comfortably vacuum the carpet and that did the trick. I was happy with the overall cleaning of the carpets and I was surprised to see how much fluff, dirt and dust it collected from cleaning the carpets, the container was nearly full.

It does all it states will do. Promise is kept. See the video.
It is all people say. Personally I would like to add that it is different vacuuming experience compared to other vacuum cleaners. It is specially effective to clean furniture and stairs, thanks to its attach and detach system and various tip accessories. It can reach tight spaces. I would recommend this vacuum to most users. It is easy to use but will need more manoeuvring if you use it in small apartments or rooms with lots of stuff on your carpets/or hard floors, like around table legs or chairs. I forget to mention that it is very effective on hard floors. The dust canister is huge so you wont have to empty it half way through the vacuuming. Because it is quite different and techy compared to what most vacuums are, I would advise you to read users manual to ensure that you’ll get the most of it and use it correctly (don’t worry it is easy).

    Amazing suction power!
This is the second Shark I have bought, unfortunately I ruined the roller motor on my old one trying to hoover up Christmas tree needles which overwhelmed it (completely my fault I should add – I should have used the nozzle not the floor head). The first thing I will say is that Shark suction is absolutely the best I have ever experienced. I actually had to turn the suction down a bit on this one at first as I was fearing for my carpet staying where it should! Overall it is a great little vacuum cleaner however compared to my first one which was a bit higher spec, it comes over a little less refined. The bits that click together on the old one are so solid and sturdy and whilst both machines are plastic, this one really feels more “plasticy” and I don’t think it is finished to the same solid standard as my old one. Another minus is that it can be extremely hard to push around carpeted floors unless you pull the suction back a bit which I never had to do with my old one which hoovered like an absolute dream. I think if I was to go back and do this transaction again I would pay a little more and get onr of the higher spec models but ultimately it does what it is meant to do: suck dirt up!

    I have bee
I have been so happy with my purchase; it works just as advertised and was true to previous reviews I had read. I’ve probably been using it for almost a month now.
I’ve found that it picks up on carpet and hard floor very well
The suction on the nozzles are very powerful, I didn’t expect it to be that strong – I use the slim crevice tool to clean the dusting brush and it gets everything out. The fact that the dusting brush head can detach and separate from the crevice tool underneath is very useful and makes cleaning easy.
The headlights are actually a nice addition, it illuminates the dirt really well and has been useful.
A little tip: I found that after I used the lift away function, the lift away pod wouldn’t want to ‘click’ back in easily. Sometimes it worked straight away, other times it took so many attempts! But it’s not that you need to slam it down or push down harder, it really will click into place very easily, IF you angle it slightly forward when you lower it into the hoover head. I seemed to be lowering the pod completely vertically, which clearly isn’t the right angle. Once I figured out to angle it slightly forward, it slots into place straight away.
The only down side is that when I use the lift away function, I tend to put the lift away pod down so I can use both hands on the wand for greater control and the pod tends to topple quite easily (I usually hold it between my legs to stop it toppling) – it probably wouldn’t be as much of a problem if the hose was longer, it is quite short compared to previous vacuum cleaners, but I guess that’s not much of a problem since you can lift the base higher.
Regardless of the small inconvenience, the many benefits outweigh this small issue. The lift away function is still very useful and I’m glad it has it.

    Great vacuum, highly versatile
This vacuum cleaner has loads of suction, almost too much on hard flooring but there is a handy power control on the handle to reduce the suction. It works really well on both short and long carpets/rugs and the various attachments make it highly versatile for getting in all those hard to clean spaces. The suction power does make it a little bit difficult to push around on carpets, again you could turn the power down but it is really satisfying seeing how much debris collects in the collection chamber!

The positives are that it has really excellent suction, the light is strong so you can see the dirt on the floor, the part that rolls on the ground is large so you cover a good amount of floor with little effort, if you are hoovering carpets you can reduce suction power so it moves more easily. The negatives are because the dust cylinder is lower down you cannot go under furniture like you could with the older version. This is particularly annoying when trying to vacuum under beds, you just can’t. I understand why the cylinder is low down in that you’re not carrying its weight in your hand, which you did in the older version, however it has reduced its ability to get under beds and armchairs. You can take the stick out and add an attachment, but all the attachments are very small so it would take you forever to vacuum underneath a bed. This is the same issue when hoovering stairs, moving the whole vacuum on the stairs is cumbersome as it is large and heavy, but using the stick with the small stair attachment takes too long, I vacuum using the whole machine. Shark need to provide an attachment to add to the stick which is at least 20 cm wide to make light work of stairs and under furniture such as beds. I now use a less good vacuum for under the beds, and this new Shark one for the rest of the house. Not ideal but doable.

    Surprisingly powerful
Saw this on offer for 150 paid for over five 0% installments. Super.

Very lightweight with powerful suction. Put it through some abuse already and still going strong.

Cable slightly stiff but it’s not a deal braker for me.

Also, some people such as the elderly or people with weak muscle strength may find it hard to push because of the speed of the rotor brushes and the suction power. Also the dust drum isn’t the largest so may need emptying more often when used in larger properties.

    But overall it’s fantastic

    Wow absolutely out standing!!
Unbelievable I vacuum everyday by the photos that doesn’t look quite true I do not know what my Vax vacuum was doing I used the Shark vacuum for the very first time on on hard floors rugs and carpets this is a very powerful vacuum as you can see in my photos that dirt it has lifted up for the very first time of use! But please read the instructions before use an attachment don’t use the brush mood on rugs use the attachment as it says and you will be totally blowing away with the dirt it lifts the only vacuum cleaner this could compare to would be a Kirby! People have the give this a bad review because they didn’t read the instructions or even watch a YouTube video well worth the money I totally recommend this 100% I’ve had so many vacuum cleaners over the years this is by far the best!

    A Fantastic Hoove
I am really impressed with this hoover the clear precise instructions really help , it really does pick up so much off carpets etc. It is very powerful so watch around loose cables and things like that. Lots of useful tools, only one can not be stored on the hoover out of the 3 but other than that it is perfect for me and my home. Really pleased with my purchase and my first Shark Model Hoover I would definitely consider them in the future and I like the 5 year guarantee.

A good machine with poor instructions
I bought this for my sister-in-law who wanted a new vacuum cleaner. In use it was very good, and it picked up dog hair extremely well. The problem is that the manual that came with it is nearly all pictures with few words, and when it needed the filter cleaned, she couldn’t work out from the pictures how to get access to it, and the neighbour tried all the possible places where a release button might be and eventually found it.
I have taken off a star because after 6 weeks of use the motor which powers the brush stopped working. Full marks to Shark, when it was reported they sent a replacement brush head which arrived the next day.

    Great purchase
We had a Shark vacuum years ago and was very jubious about purchasing another. I have to say how wrong I was! The build quality is good. The suction is great. The carpets look 10 times better than they did after using our Dyson, which has been relegated to the garage for use on the car. The only 0negative thing I would say is the dust collection area is a little on the small side considering how much it gets out the carpet, which the Dyson didn’t.

Product as advertised ,quality and price
This vac is all singing all dancing .Getting used to the swivelling head takes time after a conventional vac .The only difficulty with this vac is it’s suction power,on thick carpets even on half suction is so powerful you can hardly move it forwards it then tends to bounce,I am strong and it is a challenge for me, my wife can’t move it at all.I like the vac but it is a challenge to use .It is new ,perhaps after more use the suction will ease.

    Best vacuum cleaner eve
I loved everything about this vacuum. As i have a disability I find it easy to use, lightweight and the suction is unbelievable. Due to cat hairs on my staircases { I have two } I previously had to brush them down with a hard brush and hot water, which I found very difficult and quite dangerous. I had previously tried two different vacuum cleaners which failed to make any impression on my stair carpet. I just find it absolutely brilliant, why had I not tried the Shark lift off vacuum before . Love it and find it no longer dangerous to use for my stairs. It works wonderfully well in all areas and surfaces

    Great Vacuum cleane
Had this for a month or so now, highly impressed so far.
For starters – NO plastic packaging used at all. Only cardboard used so can all be recycled easily.
Everything slots together logically and easily.
The suction is great. One of the few I seen with a reduced power function – and you actually need it on thick carpet as its too powerful to steer!
Very easy to empty and filters are easy to access for cleaning too.

    Cleans like a dream
Very powerful and cleans like a dream. It looks lighter than it actually is. I can use it but it’s a struggle for my elderly mother and to be honest, I find it hard to push sometimes, particularly on carpet. Attachments are effective it’s easy to empty. FYI if you are looking for something that is really lightweight, this may not be the thing for you.

It sucks up far more dust, hair etc than our last cleaner did.
It generally works very well on carpets, including the stairs with the attachment/lift away facility. Harder to push on the vinyl floor in the kitchen. Can’t be used on small rugs (it just “sticks” to them, even on minimum suction) and you have to lift it just above the rug.

    Amazing!
So…my house is where hoovers come to die.
I’m sick of having to buy a new one every year! My previous one cost almost 100, so when that broke I decided to buy a Shark one as I’ve heard how good they are. I chose this one, and I was not disappointed!
After one use my mum commented how it looked like my carpet had been ‘deep cleaned’, and the suction is so strong that I only have it on medium as otherwise I can’t really push and pull it. It is easy to use, lightweight but sturdy.
My daughter loves the light at the front, and it has actually come in more handy than I thought it would. Both of my kids have sensory needs, and the noise this hoover makes isn’t bad at all, they can both cope with it.
The cord is really really long, it’s very useful. As it’s is lightweight and slim it is easy to clean the stairs with this. Also gets really close to the wall!
I LOVE it. If you’re thinking about buying it, just do it! Definitely worth it, would 100% recommend.

    All round brilliant vacuum
So, I’ve had this new Shark for a week now, and used it 2/3 times. It took a lot of looking and reading of reviews to decide on my ‘downstairs’ vacuum, but in the end I decided to pay more than I wanted, to get something I wanted! I have a Vax upstairs, and it only gets used about once a month (there’s only 2 adults here, and we don’t make much mess!) – but it’s heavy beast and not suitable for me to use downstairs, which I do more frequently. We bought it about 12/13 years, and yes it has huge suction and brilliant pick-up, it’s just a very heavy machine…but going strong even now. I hope the Shark does as well.

I was a little afraid of the what the suction might be after reading some of the reviews, many saying they simply couldn’t pull it across the floor! Well, I have COPD so am limited a little, but I need downstairs hoovering at least twice a week, and so far it is proving a dream to use. Yes it’s got powerful suction, and I’ve got variable carpeting downstairs, but if you use the suction control on the handle/wand, it helps enormously.

As a test I hoovered our large rug in the dining room with the ‘beast’ (and with a clean filter) and it pulled up a fair bit after several goes over. Then on to the Shark, fresh out of the box and pristine. Well, there was dust and debris galore, even after a thorough clean with the Vax! Now, if I had another spare and clean filter and popped it in the Vax, I’m wondering if it would have pulled more dust up…but this fairly lighweight machine seemed to just suck it up.

Overall, it’s brilliant to use, all the tools stow on board (except the pet rotator) and all parts click off and on again. Today I did the stairs and utilised the lift away…it’s brilliant, and left my carpet pristine. The cable length is good, but I will have replug to my whole downstairs – not a problem.

As to the aesthetics – I’m in love with it, expecially the headlights!! It truly reminds me of something either futuristic, or harking back to mid century modern – either way it looks good! A five star review in all but one category from me – I found it to be a little heavier than I was expecting, but way lighter than the beast. I’m going to enjoy using it – I say go ahead and buy, it’s worth the money.

    Our Latest vaccum
Our latest vaccum cleaner it must be approaching 25 in the 34 years we’ve been married. Not as lightweight as expected, Awkward for the stairs in fact maybe the worst of the 25 The nozzle is not broad enough to deal with stairs. On the plus side easy to empty and I appreciate the little light in the front which lights up dark corners. I suspect with this product you pay for the name and other vaccume that are as good are cheaper.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIts pretty good!
And I don’t say that lightly. I’ve been a staunch lover of a cylinder style vacuum for years, but this one is lighter and easy to use for sure. The amount of S**** coming out of the carpets is a sign that it was time for a change. The thing I find a little frustrating is that because the machine is so light, it tends to be pulled over when you’re using the wand to do the stairs, upholstery etc and you’re in danger of dinging the paintwork on the stairwell etc because the machine base is pulled off it’s feet as is were. Also it tends to struggle with larger bits which it seems to push about before sucking them up, I’ve found you need to get the debris under the right part of the roller. (a little left or right of centre). As an upright though charging around the house it’s very good, the wiggly base thing is great once you’re used to it, it goes under furniture as it can lay completely flat and the muddiest rugs by our back door are considerably cleaner (but not for long!). Washing the filters is easy and it’s good to be able to see them and access them quickly so you know when it’s time. Emptying the canister is easy too and you do it after every use, partly out of shame, and partly so you know just how much you can get out of one teenager’s bedroom. Starting with an empty canister is an interesting test! So I like it, it doesn’t spend much time in the hall cupboard.

Far exceeded expectations for deep cleaning carpet and upholstery.
I vacuumed regularly with traditional pull along – shocked how full the tank became after one room.
Disappointing that 260 machine does not have flex recoil or specific wrap hooks, its not very good to manoeuvre, the rollers entangle with hair, additional 100 is ludicrous for the cutaway action. The tools fall off their holders. Great vacuuming but overall disappointing for the money

    Bit too good t firs
So powerful when we first got it I could not use it. I am a 39 year old chap who is fairly strong but the power of the suction was so great I could just about drag it over the carpet and lino even with the little suction reducer cranked. Thankfully now its got a bit of dust in the filters its actually usable and does a great job. Prehaps shark need to address this bit if you do get it maybe use the hose for a bit clean out under the sofa to choke it up a bit bwfore having a go at any flooring with a bit of give. Other thwn tjat its reasonable light, nice and compact and easy to use. One thing I do miss from th old model is the shoulder stap. But I would recomend.

    Great vacuum
I thought all the features would be gimmicks but they’re brilliant. The lights on the front are great for seeing stuff I would usually miss on hard floors. The pull away has made doing the stairs so much easier. Detaching the hose is quick and easy to get into the corners and edges. All the pull away parts and hoses can be done from the normal standing position within touching distance of the handle, no more crouching down or spinning the vacuum round to detach parts. Extremely powerful too, I can’t push the hoover in MAX mode on carpet it’s too powerful but turn it down and it’s great, glides across the carpet whilst still picking everything up.

Love the suction – certainly won’t develop bingo wings! Size of dust container is good so you don’t have to empty it every five minutes. Works well on both hard floors and carpets. Cannot say how good it is on stairs as I live in a single storey property. My only comment to the manufacturers would be to put the hard/carpet switch in a more convenient position so that it becomes like changing gears in a car! Certainly cannot fault it to date – just have to wait until dog moulting season to give it a real work out.

This is a cracking vacuum, will suck up anything and leave your floor spotless! It’s great to know the missus hairs won’t make it go bust like they did my last 2 devices.

    Great for carpets
I was stunned by what this device removed from my carpets, I could have weaved a whole new cat from the hair collected. I’d vacuumed with my trusty old Henry 2 days previously and did not expect to get so much dust and cat hair out of apparently clean carpets. It does not have the manoeuvrability or robustness of a Henry and having to move from the upright to wand extension to get around furniture is not ideal, but then this is an upright so that’s to be expected. I’m rejoicing that I no longer have to carry the Henry up and down stairs, but not sure that this one would survive the many falls down those stairs that Henry has endured.

This Hoover is brilliant. I had an upright dyson before but it was getting old and I was so shocked at how much dirt and cat fur was still embedded in the carpets! It’s only when we gave the shark a whiz that we saw exactly how much was still lingering! It’s not the lightest Hoover but it’s what you’d expect considering it’s corded. Very easy to use. First impressions good
Finally purchased one of these vacuums after much umming and arrhing having been slightly put off by the review that suggested it was very heavy or hard to push around carpets . Well it’s no where near as bad as had been suggested, quite manoeuvrable with it’s twisting body motion. Yes the wheels are perhaps less effective than some vacs and might struggle a bit on deeper carpets? There are two settings to choose for carpets or hard flooring so that can affect how it easily operates as I discovered. So far then it’s great, very efficient in picking up stuff as going over our new carpet it filled the chamber up in no time with the excess fluff. Emptying it proves to be it’s main negative as it was difficult to clear out all the fluff, having to open both ends of the chamber which meant getting dust all over hands etc. Maybe it will take time to get used to that bit? The lights on the front are a novelty and will doubtless be useful in future in darker spots especially if theirs a power cut! (Joke 😀 ). So early days but I feel confident it’s a good investment.

Its tremendously powerful doing a great job of cleaning both hard wood floor and carpets. It also separates the floor/head unit from the rest, making it really light to carry for cleaning the stairs with the attached wand.
There are however two downsides. It has quite a small dust compartment so it needs to be empties quite frequently, and it can be a little harder to move on carpets than our previous one – requires a bit more ‘push’.
Overall though incredibly happy with this little vacuum. Its better than our old 450 Dyson and about one third the price.

    Better than a Dyso
I already had a Dyson V11 Absolute which cost me an arm and a leg (an eye watering 599 to be precise). I wanted a cheap vac as a backup and when I’m waiting for my Dyson to charge up. This Shark model is a Which Best Buy for 2021 so I decided to go for it as it was a reasonable 138. And OhMiGod I’m glad I did!

My first impression was that this thing SUCKS! And not in a bad way. I had hoovered with my Dyson the day before but the amount of hair and dust the Shark pulled out of my carpets was shocking – and that was on minimum suction. It also raised the pile on my 14 year old carpets – so much so they looked like they’d been professionally cleaned. It left lines in the pile and did such a thorough job on carpets I mistakenly thought were already clean.

The ‘lift away’ feature is fantastic and it so easy to unclip the wand and add the various alternative nozzles. The motorised mini brush head made short work of my stairs and it was easy to detach the wand to use on the odd cobweb in the corners of my ceilings.

It is not a particularly lightweight model but its certainly not excessively heavy. I have short pile carpets and with the suction on minimum it is easy to push. It is not even that hard on maximum and I have tennis elbow in both arms.

It was a bit hard to get used to having a cord again after the Dyson but its nice and long (8m) so I didn’t have to keep changing power sockets. It was good on my hard floors but where it really excelled was at cleaning up the carpets – in fact outstripping my Dyson.

In conclusion if I had the opportunity to go back in time I would have left the Dyson V11 at John Lewis and plumped instead for this Shark. And saved 461. I feel mugged off by Dyson – it just isn’t necessary to spend that kind of money for an excellent result. You live and learn!

The suction on this machine is second to none. My carpets are 100 % cleaner after just one use. One thing to note however is that the suction is so good it takes a bit of strength to manoeuvre; a small sacrifice in my opinion! Also whilst pet hair is completely eliminated, human hair gets tangled up in the rollers – it only took a couple of minutes to remove though, hence the 4 stars. In comparison to my last vacuum, this is way better and I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something powerful enough for pet hair.

The anti hair wrap models are very heavy to handle, very bulky so I opted for this one and I’m more than happy with it.

    Best Hoover Eve
Very easy to set up, very powerful.
Suction setting on max is very difficult to push on carpet so turn it to min, it still does a fantastic job, leaves carpets fluffy. The light on the front is great for seeing dirt on hard floors.

    Worth 10 stars
Why on earth did I wait so long to buy one!! The hype is real about this hoover. My Henry died a sad death after about 8yrs of hard graft so decided to by the shark after everyone and their mum owning one and my god the fine dust it picks up! I was mortified at what it picked up that dear Henry had sadly missed. Let me tell you the day it arrived I hoovered the house top to bottom. The light on the front helps to show up dirt on wooden floor you’d not see otherwise, I love this hoover it’s the best thing I’ve bought for the house

    Very powerful indeed!
I love a new vacuum I get really excited to have it enter my home – the first use is always amazing and this was no exception. It was like using a JCB compared to my old cordless dyson. I have kardean everywhere but small mats and two large rugs need hoovering most. The Shark tried to eat my mats, but was brilliant on the long pile rugs. I tried all the tools and lifting off the box section and it was really easy to use. Very happy with a ‘cheap’ useful tool that works very well. Thank you x

    Fantastic hoove
For starters I can’t believe how much better this is than my Henry. Was shocked by how much dust it pulls off carpet. It’s not as lightweight as it mentions. Is quite hard to push on thicker carpets in the house. Easy to assemble and use as lift away, just a few clicks. Overall I am pleased with this and glad I bought when on offer.
