2.Remove the water from the surface using the GlassVAC

How do I clean the water tank?

Simply remove the suction head from the main body and pour hot soapy water into the water tank, via the suction head opening, up to the maximum mark. Shake the GlassVAC and pour out the water.

Which detergent can I use with the GlassVAC?

For the best results, use Bosch GlassVAC detergent concentrate (ASIN B07FYLJL98). The GlassVAC should only be used with detergent intended for window vacuums. Do not use undiluted acids, acetone or solvents.

How do I clean the suction head?

Remove the suction head from the main body and rinse under running water. Then simply shake it or leave it to dry slowly.

Can I use the GlassVAC horizontally and vertically?

The window cleaner can be used both horizontally and vertically. However, the appliance can only be used for short periods with the suction head pointing down to prevent water from getting into the suction system.

How do I know when the rubber lip needs to be replaced?

If streaks appear during cleaning, the rubber lip is worn and needs to be replaced.

Great thing for cleaning the windows and similar. The squirty and scrubby thing cleans the class with a bit of rubbing and the vacuum thing draws off the liquid without a smear or any mark at all. Quick wipe round the edges with a micro fibre and move on to the next one. Windows, mirrors and the shower have never looked so clean!

Bought this because of its narrow head as I have old style 8 pane windows. House is grade II listed so single glazing that gets a lot of condensation in the bedrooms. Pretty pleased with the suction power. Very easy to use. Battery lasts well.

Only used this Bosch window vac a couple of times and as this is my first I can’t compare to others. However, did a job great and used it after a shower as well, so plenty of water to tackle on both flat and curved glass. That brings me on to the only criticism I have, as of yet.
The water tank is very small and soon filed, not so much a major problem, more a case of could be better. The overall quality and ease of use are very good, I would definitely recommend as this worked very well at every angle I tried, this was all bar the ceiling.

Happy with my purchase. Seems to work well and has the narrower blade which is essential for use with our Georgian casement windows. It seems to be pretty well made. Hopefully it will give me many years of reliable service!

The product is fairly large which makes it a little difficult to manoeuvre at the bottom of the window frames but you can tilt the vac to the side and it works just as well. But the vac is easy to hold, not heavy at all and has a wide mouth so it can suck a lot of water at once.

I used this a few times and it works brilliantly! Absorbs all the water in the first pass and doesn’t leave any streaks behind.

I only worry about the rubber mouth wearing away and needing replacing in the future but this shouldn’t be too much of an issue as long as you don’t press too hard and use smooth movements.

Recently bought a house, now it’s getting colder there’s a lot of condensation inside the windows in the morning. I use this to remove it and it’s ideal. I also use it after a shower to remove the water on the walls. The tank is small so needs emptying often but that’s not been an issue for me. I only use it for a few minutes each day, but so far I’ve found the battery lasts a long time between charges.

I have very large windows and it always took me hours to do. Now it takes about 30 mins to do all the windows. Great suction on this Bosch and with the smaller size blade makes small corners and windows easy to do.No streaks, very light and I love it. Good for cleaning bathroom tiles, mirror. This is so much better than the Karcher I had before which after a few uses would not re charge which seems to be a common problem.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersA lot of reviewers compare Bosch to Karcher window vacs, and this is no exception. This replaces a Karcher WV5, which, IMHO, is a piece of junk, having literally fell apart after 18 months.
A comparison with the Karcher is probably not a bad thing.
Build quality: better than Karcher, both the large and small wiper sections clip on and release positively from the body of the unit (it was the large blade assembly on the Karcher which literally fell apart in use). The Bosch rubber squeegee element is soft rubber, supported by a stronger combed plastic section. I think that design makes it more efficient than the Karcher, which with its harder rubber blade used to make a noise like fingernails scratching a blackboard when going over nearly dry glass.
Personally, I have never been able to get totally streak free glass after using a window vac, and have found that a follow up buffing with a microfibre cloth is required to remove residual streak marks. The Bosch rubber blade leaves fewer streak marks than the Karcher.
Edge suction: I’ve had no issues with it sucking right to the edge of the glass.
Handling: ergonomically, I have to put the Karcher slightly ahead. The Bosch body is bit “dumpy” and not as well balanced as the Karcher, but if you haven’t used the Karcher previously, it would not be an issue as it feels easy enough in the hand.
Tank capacity: I’ve read reviews in which the tank volume has been an issue. It has not been an issue for me as I am cleaning the windows of an average size house and have only had to empty the tank twice during a whole house clean. Might be a problem if you’re doing a block of flats.
Emptying the tank: The reservoir section is easy to empty and to clean. On the Karcher, to empty the reservoir completely, it had to be disassembled from the body of the unit, a right faff.
Battery life: As per the last paragraph, the battery lasted throughout a whole session and still had capacity to spare.
Accessories: comes supplied with cleaning bottle with pads attachment, no cleaning agent included. Again, to be fair, the Karcher equivalent is better, as I found the Bosch bottle spray nozzle tends to dribble a bit regardless of the spray setting, but that is a minor niggle. I like the wrist strap attachment: useful if you’ve to use it for awkward windows which need accessing outside panes from inside the room.
In conclusion I like the Bosch as it is well constructed, reasonably ergonomic and easy to use, not very heavy and has a decent battery life. The price seems reasonable, 56 at time of purchase. This review is based on initial impressions in Sept ’20 . If it fails or falls apart, I’ll edit the review.

Used daily in a bathroom on the shower screen and windows.

Really pleased with this window vac. It’s my first purchase of this type of product so I have nothing to compare it to but is leaving our windows sparkling. It doesn’t always suck up all the water at the edge but a quick wipe with a microfibre cloth helps. I like that it can be used in a horizontal position too unlike a lot of others. We have used it 5 or 6 times now totalling about 40 windows and patio doors and it’s still on its original charge! I bought the Bosch fluid that goes with it but I found that it dries too fast and it makes the windows streaky. Fairy liquid (other brands are available) seems to work much better as it gives you more time to vac the liquid off before it starts to dry as if it has started to dry before you vac the windows it goes very streaky.

This is my first window vac and I have to say I expected more. Leaves some streaks and the suction on the sides is not great, but overall it speeds up window cleaning and make it effortless comparing to manual cleaning.

I bought this to replace yet another Karcher one that when wrong just out of guarantee , time will tell if this lasts longer but first impressions are very good.
It comes as a comprehensive kit but without any sample cleaning liquid, no biggie but it would have been nice included.
The power is very good and I have found it to clean my windows to the edges as well as any other I have used, I just finish with a wipe around the edge and frame with a dry cloth. The spray bottle feels much more solid than others and spreads the cleaning agent well, cleaning the glass as it goes then the vacuum finishes it to a good shine.
I haven’t had this for long but so far so good and being Bosch it should last.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHave just received my product. As it’s Bosch, I assumed (incorrectly) that the product was German. However, the first thing I noticed on the box was that it’s Made in China. As a consumer, I should know in advance of purchase where the product is manufactured, so I can make an informed decision as to whether I want to purchase it. Nowhere on the Amazon page was this mentioned. I have decided that since the Coronavirus emanated from mainland China at least for now I do not want products manufactured there in my home. Amazon should ensure that country of manufacture is displayed on each product page

This is an amazing device, so simple yet effective. The vacuum is very good and the rubber wipers do give a streak free shine. It does get easier as you get more experienced. Even on a ladder you can use the wrist band and do the two things together (spray and vac)
I used mr muscle streak free shine (it was on offer) and such good results my daughter literally said “it feels like we are outside, daddy!”
It would have gotten five stars but the spray bottle isn’t great and doesn’t give an even spray and drips a bit. Having said that it’s still functional and you could always get a cheap spray bottle at a later date.

It feels like we are outside daddy!

Unlike Karcher you can’t get the water container out, which at first I couldn’t understand why. However, as it turns out you don’t need to as it easy to rinse it out if you follow the instructions.
Very well made and looks sturdy, also the central blade can be pulled out for cleaning. The set comes with two different width blades, and two different size cleaning heads for the spray bottle. You also get two different size cloths to attach to the spray bottle, so everything you need really.

I have owned and used the Bosch window vac for three months. So far it has been working great.

Its predecessor started breaking down after only six weeks of use. That was the Vileda window vac.

This is what I love about the the Bosch product:

Does the job: hoovers up the moisture. Suction is fine.

Ergonomic and efficient design: the vac takes up a lot less space in a bathroom cupboard than the Vileda. The Bosch is also quicker to empty: the dirty water is emptied by pulling a rubber plug in the vac’s body.
On the Vileda, one has to disconnect the water container and then reassemble the vac. It is a straightforward process but still has multiple additional steps relative to the Bosch. The downside is that the dirty water container can’t be accessed and cleaned. Having said that, I don’t see a compelling reason why it’s useful to clean that part.

Amazing value for money: the Bosch comes with two handy extras. There is a refillable tool for spraying and wiping window cleaning liquid, and it comes with a bigger and a smaller head. There is also smaller size vacuum head for the vacuum itself. The extras are equally well designed and a joy to use.

The vac’s battery charges fast and lasts a while.

It’s lightweight and easy to bring out even if you just want to sort a small area.

As with many other reviewers I looked for another make of window vac after my Karcher one prematurely stopped functioning. This is a better product all round. It is well built and functions well with good results. Being smaller than the other one it is easier to clean the lower areas of windows without bumping into sills or floors. It is also good for reaching awkward corners. It charges up quickly and the charge lasts well. The Velcro cloth attachments are also better and hopefully replacements will also be easier to find . This machine is not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersHad previously briefly thought about purchasing one but thought it was just another product which was a bit of a fad and nothing a bucket and a few cloths could not handle. Saw this on offer during the Amazon Prime days and read the reviews which piqued my interest again. Was contemplating the Kracher but the numerous reviews of the short life made me lean towards the Borsch model.

I have had it just a day and I have to say I have been kicking myself for not getting one earlier. The last time I cleaned the windows was such a chore. There were so many streaks and they were so difficult to get rid of. I have just cleaned the garden room bi-fold doors and windows with the GlassVAC and it was a breeze! It is quick and easy to use the spray and wipe the windows. The GlassVAC then sucks up all the water and leaves the glass mostly streak-free!

I would suggest using a dishwasher rinse aid and water for the spray. It really does leave less streaks and cleans glass and mirrors well. I would also suggest having a microfibre cloth at hand to wipe the head of the GlassVAC to wipe off excess water on the head. Yes, you are not going to be able to get to bottom of the panes or sides of all of your glass or mirrors but just a quick wipe with a microfibre cloth should do the trick. You can then use the cloth to give a quick finish. It takes a fifth of the time and effort to do what was previously such a chore. A full length mirror takes a minute to clean which otherwise would have taken over 5 minutes using isopropyl alcohol, Windowlene and a couple of cloths and still not given me the desired finish. I really think it’s one of the best gadgets I have bought in the last couple of years!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersGood quality materials, not excessively noisy and it vacuums moisture quite well.
The end result is better and MUCH faster than I would achieve without it. But it is not as good as a professional operative using a squeegee and leather. NOTHING can equal an expert at this job.
The battery was at least partly charged on receipt and, as per instructions, I fully charged it before first use. I have not yet used it enough to assess the battery run-time, but have cleaned eight large windows to date and recharge not yet needed
The spray attachment is oddly shaped, small capacity and mine is spluttery. Not as effective a sprayer as off the shelf sprayers.
The vacuum handle is at a slightly awkward angle, making the unit’s use less comfortable than it would be with some form of flexible or swivelling and lockable ball joint.
The rubber waste water drain plug is a little awkward to remove and re-plug. Its durability remains an unknown.
The ability to recharge from almost any standard USB equipped recharger is very useful. However . . . it is incomprehensible to the point of stupidity as to why a tiny and delicate USB micro socket is used in the body of the vacuum unit when there is so obviously ample space for a standard, and MUCH sturdier USB type A socket which would additionally enable either end of the cable to be used in either socket.
The USB cable supplied for charging has no symbols printed on either of its USB plugs which would greatly assist in easy and accurate identification as to which way up the plugs must be when inserting into their respective sockets. This is not only thoughtless and inconvenient but can far too easily result in damage to the delicate micro USB plug and/or socket.
It is unfortunate that there is, so far, no extension kit to manage upstairs windows without a long ladder. This does reduce the unit’s usefulness and overall value..
Despite the multiple minor criticisms, all of which are justified but could easily be eliminated by considered re-design on Bosch’s part, this is still a worthwhile piece of equipment. But it is not quite as good as it could and should be, so only four stars.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersRead lots of reviews before buying this – my first window vac product. So far very pleased with it. Love the two widths of applicator and wiper blade as we have both large and small windows. I have bought proper window cleaning detergent but I suspect that washing up liquid would do the job as well now I’ve seen how it works. It’s a tiny bit fiddly to empty the dirty water out but price worth paying for totally streak free windows (and believe me we have south facing patio doors and bifolds so they show every tiny mark when the sun shines). Easy peasy to set up and use. Wish we had more than one of the washing pads of each size but I did two sets of patio doors and bifolds inside and out on just one pad – took me about 40 mins from start to finish on one charge – fab windows – bring on that low winter sunshine, my windows are ready for you!!

This is a terrific little gadget. I’m using it for cleaning the shower – no streaks and a shiny finish. It does fill fairly quickly (makes a funny gurgling sound when you need to empty it) – it copes with about half the shower cabinet but it’s easy to empty. I put it on charge when I’ve finished each time and it recharges within about 10 mins. Very satisfying to use !

I have never had a window vacuum before, so cannot compare to others. I judge this solely on its own merits.

The main unit is well made and easy to hold. Not too heavy. Quick to charge and, once charged, it happily did all the windows (and 2 showers) in a large 4-bed house. It did not need emptying until the end. There are two heads – a standard one for larger windows, and a smaller one for small panes (e.g., the narrow panes in my front door).

There is a separate sprayer bottle, again with a standard or smaller head holding a detachable (washable) cloth pad. You need to fill this with special solution (NOT provided in the pack) – I bought the Karcher brand, as no Bosch one seemed available in the shops. Then you just spray onto the glass and spread the foam around with the pad.

Once the window has been foamed, just suck it off with the wiper blade vacuum. Apparently, this blade has a special coating and there are LOTS of warnings in the instructions never to let it come into contact with anything that could stick to it (such as paper/cardboard). It certainly takes the foam off smoothly and leaves no streaks behind.

My only quibble with this is that you need to hold the vacuum “vertically”. Several of my windows are directly above windowsills. I found that, as the blade came towards the bottom, I was forced to start angling the unit more horizontally (sill being in the way), which resulted in the blade losing grip/suction for the last 2 inches of window. The only answer was to turn the unit upside down and do the last bits from the bottom up. A little fiddly – but I guess all window vacuums may have the same issue.

Having finished, everything is easy to clean out, and the pads can just get a quick wash and dry ready for next use. So much easier than scrubbing away with Windolene.

The results are amazing. Would definitely recommend. Its also quiet when in operation. Initial charging time took nearly an hour. Its easy to clean too and couldn’t believe how dirty the water was. Its also quick, i thought i needed to slowly and carefully use when vacuuming up the water, but you can zoom and it still works great.

Why didn’t I buy one of these years ago? Bought to help rid my house of winter damp and it does the job perfectly. Easy to use, the two head sizes get everywhere you need to. Light, quick to recharge and long to run. Only improvement would be a removable water container, emptying and cleaning are not easy.

Genuinely clever bit of kit. Purchased mine during an Amazon offer for under 40 – well worth it – nicely made. Not suitable for old lead-lights, but I can work around that.

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersHaving spent years wiping the condensation off the inside windows during the cold months, I was originally sceptical about buying a window cleaner/vacuum.
Having used it now for a few days, I wish I’d have bought one years ago!!!
The Bosch GlassVac is well made, has plenty of attachments and works really well, saving me so much time to do other things! Having Georgian type windows, the option of two wiper blade widths is really well thought out. I’m now also using it for other things I’d never thought of before such as cleaning/vacuuming my shower screen and bathroom tiles.
    Would highly recommend!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis Bosch window vac is effective, seems well-designed & robust and comes with a good range of attachments/accessories. I haven’t used a Karcher equivalent so can’t comment on how they compare in practise, but the Bosch was on a special offer and seemed pretty good value for money. I haven’t rated it for battery life because only time will tell how it lasts – but so far, so good.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersStraight out of the box you will notice the superior quality to other window vacs. Compact and lightweight and made to a very high standard. It uses the same blade as the Bosch automotive window wiper. The rest of the components are typical high quality you would expect from Bosch Engineering.

Very easy and straight forward to use. Perfectly cleans any glass surface. Battery charge is quick and is long lasting.

After the disappointment of a Karcher and a cheaper version, Bosch has restored my faith in window vacs.

The package provides the kit to clean your windows and tiled walls. My results so far have not been spectacular according to my wife but should improve. Not clear how to make up the best liquid to put in the spray but we have used washing up liquid and will see how that goes.

This GLASSVAC is a cordless window vacuum from Bosch. On the whole I was quite impressed with it. The GlassVac wiper blade has “Power Protection Plus”, which is basically wiper-rubber technology with a polymer coating. I found assembling it a little on the fiddly side but one it was up and running it wasn’t too hard to use. One slight annoyance is that no information is given as to what cleaning detergents to use. I used good old fashioned soap and water which worked fine. So thumbs up from me.

Golden Review Award: 47 From Our UsersI had high hopes for this product, for my glass panelled staircase, interior glass doors as well as the windows. As with most other reviews I found this appliance very good but I do have the one criticism. The water dispenser leaked badly at times from the join of the water container part with the black sprayer part. I thought it might be the angle that I was holding it at or maybe I had overfilled it. So I experimented but the problem was always there. I’m glad that I bought this product but I think there is still room for improvement. Unfortunately the Bosch website only gives the option to offer stars as a review with no chance to explain the reason behind those stars!

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersOut of if the box there was a part missing. The small head that fits in spray bottle wasn’t there. The microfiber cloth was Included so no use without the head to attach it to. I have tried to find a replacement small attachment but can’t find one on Bosch site. So used big head on bottle and set to cleaning very dirty windows after bad storms last week. Worked well and no streaks. Battery lasted straight out of box. Cleaned 8 large windows and 2 patio doors so that was good. Hard to empty water. I do worry it may get into the electrics eventually and cause some damage
If I can find a replacement small applicator head then I will be happier. Not worth sending back just for this. Suppose I can use a cloth for now
One star off for missing part
Anyone else have a part missing? Or indeed will not use the small attachment?
Much lighter than original karcher and probably does a better job

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersLoved this product once I had got used to using it and manipulating the various heads.

Washed all the windows and vacuumed up the excess water leaving the windows sparkling.

Doesn’t take long to charge and then it’s good to go.

Simply add water and your chosen window cleaner as needed the tank before each use.

All the inside windows were then done with ease leaving them very clean,

I love the ease of it being cordles and it’s also very competitive in price.

Golden Review Award: 50 From Our UsersI previously owned the karcher window vac which I had to throw away as water kept getting into the motor and would continually spit and smoke. This was the best replacement. Used it for the first time today and it works so much better. It’s small and compact with great power. The best feature is the rubber wipers that just leave your window perfectly clean. I’d highly recommend this item.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI really like this set. First thing to note is there are two separate tools here. One is a dispenser with soft cloth to spray on detergent. The second is a powered machine to suck up liquid – either the detergent you’ve just sprayed on a window or condensations from something like a shower. I didn’t initially get the idea that there were two distinctly separate devices but now it makes perfect sense.

The set up is easy although the instruction pictures in the instruction booklet aren’t overly helpful. The machine comes with some charge and charges using a USB cable that you can insert into the supplied 3 pin USB plug or any other USB socket. A red light comes on to show that it is charging.

It’s great to use. Spray and clean with the dispenser and then suck up with the vacuum unit. Or you can use the vacuum unit to suck up condensation from a shower which is where I see myself using it on a daily basis.

My only issue is the detergent. They give you no detergent and no idea what type of detergent to use. We initially tried washing up liquid which cleaned well but left the odd wafer thin streak after vacuuming. We’re now experimenting with bottled window/glass cleaner and also flash. It would have been nice to be given some guidance on this. The detergent and streaking issue is the only thing preventing me from giving it 5 stars.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a revolutionary gadget that is my husband’s new best friend. He has so far used it to clean patio door windows (inside and out), car windscreen, shower cubicle and all smaller windows in the house. The two part system might seem annoying at first but it works really well in that you use the squirty bottle with the sponge attached to squirt on cleaning product and then clean the window and use the battery powered hoover bit to suck up all of the water and leave the glass gleaming. Best of all the cleaning blade comes in 2 sizes which was brilliant for clenaing for smaller windows. Highly recommend this product.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe Bosch Window Vac works really well. It is easy to set up and makes the job of cleaning windows a lot easier and without lots of the usual mess that comes with cleaning windows. It comes in 2 main parts: a window cleaner and window vacuum. Both parts also come with a choice of 2 head size (approx 27cm and 11cm).

It is very simple to use. You fill up the cleaner part with warm soapy water (you can add other chemicals but I have found no need on windows that haven’t been cleaned for a year!) and apply the solution to the window via the spray. You then rub window surface with the cloth head attachment. The spray application is good because unlike with normal window cleaning tools water doesn’t drip everywhere. The final easy bit is using the vac which is great because in one sweep down the window you get a perfectly clear, streakless window! I didn’t even need to use a cloth to pick up excess water!

Overall a typically solid, well made Bosch product and I am really pleased with this product.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI was a little sceptical of the capabilities of a window vac, having seen but not used the more well known Karcher version, something in my head just told be that they wouldn’t be ‘up to much.’ How wrong was I !

After just cleaning one pane of glass I was converted. The result was a highly glistening, streak free finish, easily on a par with a professional window cleaner, I was more than impressed. Within the next two days I had cleaned every pane of glass in the house; upstairs, downstairs, inside and out. Soon to follow all mirrors were shining like new pins too.

The unit is charged via a usb port and a full charge gave me around 40 minutes of use. You are supplied with two fabric cleaning heads and two vacuum heads. I used warm soapy water as the cleaning detergent which is simply sprayed on to the glass. All in all, very easy to use and leaves your glass gleaming. Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 72 From Our UsersI clean the windows at home using a window vac. I also have a karcher window vac and used them both to compare.

First out of the box, Bosch vac is very easy to use. The velcro backed microfibre pad that fits on the spray bottle is easy and it’s all straightforward to put together and use, with the exception of what cleaning fluid to use? There is no detergent/ cleaning product trial sachet in the box (one came with the Karcher) and the bosch instructions show “detergent” plus water. I searched online but didn’t find a specific product.

The window vac large blade gets a big thumbs up. Super clear and no steaks to start with. My windows were pretty dirty on the outside so I had to rinse the blade after a while when it started to get streaky and it worked like a dream. Not the same story with the small blade – that was really quite streaky.

The on/off button is easier to use than my Karcher, but the hand hold, although comfortable, is very difficult when cleaning the outside of windows from indoors. I have to put my arm through the next window along to clean and it was hard to get the vac at the correct angle to work with shape of the vac body. It does have wrist holder straps which come in handy because I felt like I was going to drop the vac at one point, but they are a bit of a nuisance to slip on and off all the time.

Also, i wasn’t keen on the spray bottle. When spraying the windows, a lot of the water didn’t make it to the window and landed on the floor or adjacent surfaces. My karcher spray bottle seems to have more oomph and when used most of the spray hits the window.

When you clean it afterwards, you have to open the (stiff when new) plug to pour out the dirty water refill through the neck. With my karcher, all the water parts unclip and can rinse under the tap – I had to be more careful with the Bosch as it doesn’t come apart.

In summary, large blade absolutely great. When I clean windows from the same side then it’s perfect. When leaning through the window to clean the outside of the upstairs window I found it hard. Perhaps someone with longer arms would find it easier.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis kit is something that we have been looking at for sometime and wondering if it would indeed clean the windows as it says. The whole kit looks impressive as you open the box. The attachments are all included and the unit is even half charged to allow immediate use. USB charger.
As other reviewers have mentioned this vacuums. The unit is not heavy to use and the attachments of varying widths make cleaning different sized areas quite easy.
The spray bottle with its different sized attachments and cloths is a clever thing and you use very little liquid. Ideal for both inside and outdoors windows.
We have enjoyed using this product and clearly it is top of the range. To say we enjoy cleaning windows is a bit funny as before this arrived we only cleaned them outside 3 or 4 times a year at most. Being cordless makes the job easier.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFirst off this isn’t as sturdy as I’d expect for a Bosch product. When I clipped the longer of the two washer pads to the squeeze bottle I expected it to snap off.
The amount of pressure needed to make it clip into place was inordinately high and as this is only a plastic molding I was worried it would simply break away.
I don’t expect it to be long for this world.
As I said it comes with two differing cleaning pad and vacuum head widths; one of 276mm and one of 110mm.
The longer one I found most suited to my large double glazed windows while the smaller unit is more suited for small windows and vanity mirrors.
Neither worked well on my shower unit as that has a curved glass construction so you end up constantly respraying over already cleaned areas as you have to go from left to right and not vertically. This resulted in smears which didn’t impress my good lady.

It is a nice touch in having two different sizes of pump and vacuum head but I found that, if you have a reasonably large window sill ledge, getting both the pump spray or the vacuum close to the glass at the bottom of the windows can be a bit of a difficulty.

The pump spray is a bit feeble no matter how you adjust it and I could not get a suitable amount of cleaning solution over a fair area of glass of my larger windows. If I use it with the large head fitted, the spray jet which issues from beneath the mop head, was always concentrated for too centrally for a good coverage in mid wash/wipe

The thing I liked least abut the unit is that the dirty water reservoir from the vacuum head cannot be removed for cleaning. Consequently as the drain plug is in such a stupid position it is almost impossible to flush the bottle and drain it without repeatedly filling it through the top, agitating it heavily and then trying to drain it out of the small hole in the front of the body.

The charge level is sufficient to easily do all the windows on the ground floor of my house, both inside and out and on this point it works better than my previous vacuum glass cleaner but then, at 80 I would hope that it would.

It is supplied with two cleaning pads (1 large and 1 small) and a somewhat pointless wrist strap which is fitted to the vacuum unit via what is called the “wrist strap interface” – in other words a hole in the handle!.

But it works although the price is, to my mind, more than a tad on the high side.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersHmmm, certainly an interesting device!

It’s essentially a vaccum cleaner that sucks up left over water from cleaning windows. You normally clean windows by applying water and detergent, leave it for a 30 seconds and then wipe down with a cloth of rubber squeegy. Normally when you do with there is a certain amount of water that gets washed down and drips on floors or cills. That’s where this clever little gadget comes in, it vacuums up all the water while you squeegy the glass surface down, a clever idea.

In the box you get the vaccum with two rubber blades, one around 4″ and another around 12″ in width. You alsop get a spray bottle with matching 4″ and 12″ “rags” that attach to the spray bottle via velcro. You also get a USB charger for the vaccum unit.

In practice this works very well indeed. I was quite skeptical when I received the unit, I was thinking that this was a gadget invented to solve a problem that doesn’t really exist, it’s water you just wipe it up but having used and seen how effective it is I’m genuinely impressed. You normally clean windows and end up with a unpleasant dirty rag soaked through that you have to wash, after using this gadget you simply wash through the two application “rags” and a pot of dirty water under the vacuum unit. There’s no dirty puddles under windows and mirrors, there’s no dirty soaked rag and water all over the place.

OK, so it does the job. Any downsides? Well you have to be careful when you use the vaccum unit to ensure you don’t streak the window as you wipe down. The trick is to pull down from the top of the window or mirror, then check from an angle to make sure you haven’t streaked the surface.

As I said, at first I was skeptical but having just whipped through the house and gone over all the internal glass doors and mirrors in just a few minutes I can see this gadget getting plenty of use. Add to this the reliable BOSCH quality, this should hopefully last a good few years.

This is a cordless window cleaning vacuum, which is supplied with all the extras necessary to clean windows, mirrors, tiles and the like.

Included in the kit is the vacuum itself, which has a choice of two width heads; one is around 4″ wide and the other around 8″. A mains charger and lanyard for the vacuum are included. In addition, you get a combined spray bottle / cleaner, again with heads of two widths to match the vacuum – these are covered with a removable (by velcro) cleaning pad, which is a combination of hard and soft bristles.

It’s really easy to use – first fill the spray bottle with your choice of cleaning solution (I used warm tap water with a few drops of washing-up liquid). Then spray a few squirts onto the window, and agitate with the cleaning pad, spraying more if needed as you go – this is an easy one-handed operation. When you’ve given the window a good soaping, turn the vacuum on and just wipe once down the surface of the glass to remove the dirty water. It almost takes longer to type than it does to do – I cleaned 16 windows and 2 French doors in under 15 minutes with a bare minimum of effort, and the results are impressive – no streaks or smears.

This was all on the residual charge straight out of the box – by the end of that, the low battery warning was flashing, but it does suggest that a full charge will easily be enough for all the windows in a medium to large house.

It’s a shame that Bosch weren’t able to combine everything into one unit, rather than having to juggle the two parts of the system, but that would probably have been tricky. A few small niggles – you do need to be careful not to over-wet the window, as otherwise water runs down to the bottom before you have a chance to vacuum it off. Emptying the water tank in the vacuum is a messy job, as it pours out of a hole in the side and it’s hard to control where it goes. Finally, the vacuum is slightly less effective around the edges of the window, where you can get some residual water left.

But other than that, this is a really easy and quick way to clean windows. I’ll be using it from now on in preference to Windolene and kitchen paper!

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersWell that’s a surprise, a gadget that does as promised. If anything is a real painful, thankless job it’s cleaning windows. No sooner as you clean them, some tool puts their fingers on them again. Say hello to your new best friend.

I’ve never found a quick way to clean windows no matter what I’ve used before, you can guarantee streaks. The glassvac is a two part cleaning system. The spray bottle with velcro headed cloth and the vacuum squeegy (spelling?) part.

    The instructions over complicate assembly.
There are 2 attachment and cloth sizes.
There is a wrist loop for the vac.
It comes party ready charged so you can use it straight from the box, further charging is done via a usb/plug cable.

Simple to use. Spray your window, wipe/rub with the cloth thing, hoover up the liquid. I gave it to my mum to try since she’s the one who climbs in windows and she was impressed that it didn’t leave any streaks!
I’ve only tried this so far on inside windows. I can see how when you use them outside you might need more elbow grease or another cloth to remove more difficult debris i.e. bird muck.

But yes, it will save you time and effort and it really works.

Time saving and no more arm aches
