Great value for money
The only fault is its easy to switch on and off when handleing ie when you pick it up it accidently comes on.

I’ve had this over a year now and I have to say its the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. It’s not as powerful as other vacuums, but where it shines is ease of use.
I’m a lazy person, and getting my Henry vacuum out of the cupboard, plugging it in, carrying it around and doing a full hoover is something I want to do regularly but I’m often too lazy to get started until the floor looks a mess. The beauty of the vax is that it’s attached to the wall in its holder and I just pick it up, do a bit of vacuuming when I want, then put it back. Takes about 60 seconds.
I find I’m constantly doing little bits daily and it’s no real chore. My carpets and upholstery are now immaculate all the time with very little effort.
Hence best vacuum ever. Charging it a doddle as I always recharge below 50%. However it could do my whole house in 1 charge.
Easy to clean well.
As I am in late seventies and most vacuums are difficult for me to use I find the Vac light enough and powerful enough to clean well with ease.
Long battery life. Good suction.
Not as lightweight as some cordless but perhaps more powerful as a result. Very pleased with my purchase.
Impressive vacuum
I have to say I am suitably impressed. The Blade 3 has picked up an inordinate amount of dust from my carpets despite my home being vacuumed regularly by cleaners using leading brands. I had a Vax Upright model which hasn’t been collecting as much as this has on its first go.
The flexibility of the hoover as well is great, it swivels to fit the nooks and crannies and the ability to switch between light and super suction is great.
There are some downsides however. The battery charge on mainly super suction has lasted approx 20 mins, which just about did the lounge, stairs, landing and master bedroom. So you either need to purchase a back up battery to switch over and continue or hoover the house in 2 parts.
The unit is also top heavy (once battery on) and actually after about 20 mins is a bind on the old arm muscles!
I wish this would come with a tool to easily remove brush and hair from the roller brush. This does need cleaning after each use, which to be fair is only a 5 min job, but a handy tool would prob make it easier.
But overall I haven’t been disappointed.

I bought this as a replacement for my 5yr-old upright Vax, (the battery was becoming u/s). My goodness, what a beast! The 1st setting is good on hard floors. The 2nd, [roller & light], on regular carpet sucked-up dirt/dust I was unaware of. Not suitable for shag-pile rugs, it cuts out. The 3rd could suck the nails out from floorboards! It will also work on my rugs but hard work on one of them. I didn’t try it on stairs but was obliged to give a rating. As for lightweight….. I did find a little on the ‘heavy’ side & slightly awkward, but, & I must emphasize [this], I am in a wheelchair, it is very manoeuvrable never-the-less. A good purchase.

Good vax hoover ! I rate it 9 out 10 ! But one down fall a small brush missing ! In the box when it came ! You can live without that ! It’s the best hoover l have ever bought ! Good quality! Vax one power cordless cleane
Very glad to replace my very heavy dyson cleaner with this Vax, which tackles my cleaning needs very well. Suction is much better than I expected and recharging the battery is easy and convenient. Not sure how it would cope with shag pile carpets but it easily manages the carpeted and hard surfaces in my home.

I think it’s a great product does what it says on the box. Only problem don’t think the battery life will be long enough but we will see.

I would recommend this hover. I have both carpets and hard floors. Works well with both. Like the brush feature. Battery life is good cleans my 2 bed flat in one go.
But not on the boost feature.
Also I find it a little heavy.

Brilliant value, great on all floor types
I was concerned buying the Vax as its so much cheaper than some other brands and I’d read negative reviews regarding battery life.
I’m pleased to say I took a chance anyway and I’m happy with the results.
This vacuum covers my entire house before the battery dies, and it’s very easy to just take the battery and pop back on charge fir next use.
All my downstairs is hard flooring. Tiles, stone and floor oards, and the Vax does a good job with each.
It is a little on the heavier side and a touch clunky when compared to the Dyson for example however, you get more than your monies worth and I was happy to spend the change elsewhere
The most powerful lightweight upright I've ever had.
Best suction power I’ve ever experienced on a typical lightweight uprigjt, and the illumination is very helpful. Not possible to use as a plug in and the battery only just lasts long enough to do much 1 bedroom fully carpeted apartment before it needs a recharge. But it does give you plenty of warning as battery depletes..

I have the previous model so can compare. The new model has better battery life and slightly better suction. Battery is removable now which is much better.

Great battery life
I love this vac so much I bought my daughter one. Had no problems with it. Battery life is good and plenty of time to do the whole house. Highly recommend.
Powerful for size.
Excellent cordless vacuum cleaner, light, flexible. Charge long enough to do average home, boost and brush functions very good. Easy to remove and charge battery. Simple to empty.
Average Hoover with some problems
This Hoover is a mixed bag.
It’s suction isn’t top tier it gets the job done but for certain things you need to Hoover multiple times.
The battery last last about 20mins on a full charge so depending on the size of your house it might suit you.
We have encountered an issue as well in our carpet where it cuts out completely after 30 seconds it is intermittent so not sure on the issue.

I love my vax blade as a wheelchair user cables and trying to manoeuvre a plug in vacuum cleaner just isn’t possible for me but with this I can run it over the floors and rugs easily without the worry and its light enough not to cause any pain when I use it. My best purchase this year almost!

I bought this to replace one from a different manufacturer which had died after several years good service. I had owned a Vax cleaner many years ago so knew it as a good product. Whilst a little heavier than our previous cleaner it did everything it said on the box. it worked perfectly.
Unfortunately a fault developed in the battery after two months. I rang customer service at 4 pm on the day the fault developed and explained the problem, at 8.30 am the following day a new battery stood on my doorstep. Fantastic customer service.

Very happy. Takes up very little storage. Easy to use especially if you live in an apartment. I’d like a longer battery life, but it’s not the end of the world and will Vax over my old hetti hoover any day. In fact because it’s so convenient I do a whizz around everyday and then the usual thorough clean once a week. I could never be bothered to do that with the old one. I hoped for it to be better for cleaning the car. The attachments don’t go down far enough so I was disappointed with that. Otherwise a great domestic appliance.

Higher suction you use less battery time, hard floors suction good and battery lasts approx 30min
With brushes going lasts about 20min with boost on for thick pile carpet only about 15min
But very pleased with performence over all, retired so home all time so can do ground floor one day and upstairs
another, would be useful to have 2 batteries if you need to do all at once. Nice stand alone charger which only takes 2hours to recharge
Update, battery now not able to charge, red flashing light saying defective, only 9months old, not sure if its battery or charger. To get both replaced cost 100.

They are not as light as they make out to be, also 2 batteries should be sold in the purchase price. Suction on ceramic floors not great. Had cheaper versions suck better. Vax.co.uk don’t send outside the UK, but they do send to Amazon to sell worldwide. Great for cleaning carpets or heavy rugs, lightweight ones more difficult because of the suction.

Superb suction, light as a feather!
It is a fabulous lightweight machine, very easy to use. I really love using it, I have a larger VAX too but this is so useful it gets in all the corners and works like a dream. The different modes too are useful, a suction boost, works well at getting the dust up from the gaps in floorboards etc.

It’s easy to get In and out and storage purposes, but the suction is only good on the highest setting and battery life lasts less than 15 min. The handheld attachments are rubbish and it’s not lightweight. It’s ok,just not as good as a previous vax I’ve had in the past.

Good Suctio
This is a good powerful stick cleaner if your elderly or disabled it is a bit top heavy as the battery is just under the handle you can use as a hand held for stairs etc but I found it stiff and difficult to disconnect the two parts.
On the whole I am pleased it is good quality and has three different powers for suction as I have dogs.
A Good Lightweight Cordless Vacuum
I’m happy with this, on high power very good suction for stubborn areas.
On normal power ok for most areas, on this mode, good battery life.
The idea is to use high power on stubborn areas and switching back to normal power elsewhere, doing this gives you good battery life.
Slightly too heavy, but still a lightweight vacuum.
I recommend it.

I really like this machine. It is good with dust and esp. pet hair. Easy to empty and doesn’t take too long to charge. The ability to turn the brush head in small corners is great. it has cut down my cleaning time considerably.

I’m very impressed with this Vac. It is powerful and the battery last a long time between charges. Bit top heavy for my wife but Ok for me. Not got ‘Stairs ‘so cannot comment on that.

Brilliant cleaner great suction plenty of power highly recommended. Only downside is the battery life is not great when on full power and beater bar is running, but don’t let that put you off it is brilliant in every other way.

Not a very competitive against say a dyson but it does a good enough job.
Using the hoover to full capability gets about 20-30mins run time, the suction power decreases with the power i find.
Work very well on carpets and okay on vinyl but use low power as it sticks to the floor.
The motor is great it make manoeuvrability easier.
The main head doesnt play well with rugs especially if they are light, the suction is too strong but it will cut out if it feels caught.
So use low and forward strokes you’ll be fine.
With out any attachments on is useless it wont pick up a thing you must at least have a plastic attachment on.
Overhead is quite heavy when trying to reach the cob webs, take care of your surroundings.
Overall not bad but i feel the battery life lets it down but the suction is great and perfect for flats.

Ordered this after a faulty Shark. I find it difficult to take the hoover part away from the stick part. Anyone who has problems with their hands or someone who doesn’t have much strength would struggle. Suction isn’t as good as the Shark

Very pleased with this vacuum. Easy to use and easy to clean. Does everything it promises. Definitely recommend.
Brilliant cordless vacuum
The suction power is brilliant on this, especially with its different settings and the battery lasts plenty long enough to finish a job. It is slightly heavy and can get a bit tiring after using it continuously for more then 10 minutes but that is not noticeable if you are using this for quick and regular jobs.

Well I thought my carpets were hoovered before. It would seem not! This hoover picks up so much dust /dirt from the floor. Really lightweight. I can do my entire house on one charge. Really good hoover all in all!

Quite impress with how much it pick up. Battery enough to do 2-3 rooms on max power. Cleaning the barrel and brush head is so easy. Have bought popular and pricier cordless. Though it’s slightly have more weight still great value for money and can’t praise it enough.

I have always bought the vax blade from the first one they made but unfortunately i do prefer my blade 2 has it seems to hold more battery life and better suction power than the blade 3.
If you are going for the blade 3 my advice would be purchase the blade 4 where you will get a better longer battery life 4.0 battery instead of a 3.0 battery plus the blade 4 seems to have a better suction power also. I have noticed that blade 3 is more noisy than my blade 2

Vax is okay, I would say just below Dyson in all respects, but less than half the price. Delivery however was shocking. Waited in all day for it and it didn’t show. Alexa said it was delivered? Around 8.30 pm my neighbour from 2 houses away brought it round absolutely soaking wet! He’d found it outside when he went to lock the gate and had no clue it was there! Amazon, these drivers may be cheap but for gods sake at least get some who know what numbers are, or a little training may help!

For this money expected a much more well-built structure and stronger suction. My fault from a part that I expected some functions that do not exist because I did not read through the whole description, only looked at images and customer reviews.
Positive part:
– I can fit in tight areas between wall and bed for example
– It does clean carpet nicely though
– I can suck with thin tube ending along the wall and carpet meeting properly
– Filter and dirt container is easy to clean
– cordless
– lightweight
– wide flat head turns very smooth and easily
– battery although run low quick, performance did not change
Negative parts:
– long tube is not adjustable in length
– part connections feel flimsy, especially the thing long tube ending
– needed to use the second level of suction as first did not feel strong enough (perhaps good on solid floor and not carpet)
– because of that battery ran low in just a few minutes already, although I charged it long enough.
– the wide flat head with the rotatory brush in it is a pain in the… to clean. I never had a hoover with this before so I didn’t know how it’s gonna work for me – I would not recommend for an allergic person, as I spent at least 15 minutes to cut off all the hair that got stuck on the brush and bar as I just did not figure out another way to clean it and I do clean my hoover after every use so it wasn’t even that much stuff on it.
– and there is this “lock” key on the side of the head of the rotatory brush head, which indicates that I can lock and unlock the brush movement (?) I did not manage to try it as it is made out of plastic and I have not received any tool for this purpose to rotate it, and when I tried with something metal I have and was a similar size, plastic started to bend and change the shape of course so I stopped.
– soft rounded brush is I guess for smooth delicate surfaces, which I am not used to – previous hoovers had thick and strong brushes so I could clean the carpet with it, but I guess now I have the rotatory head for that purpose
Overall it did the job, it was the first time I used, so I will update later if any radical change would happen.
I expected a better feel and quality for this money. I purchased a similar hoover about 2 years ago for only 60 Pounds and, that was not as effective as this one, but quality-wise, the way it feels in my hand they are very similar but in price. I guess its the suction I pay for, which is a good point though but it would be nice to have in my hands something that doesn’t feel like it can fall apart. So I feel it a bit pricy, but if it will last for long, then it did worth, I will see.
Superb vac. Light & very powerful. Easy to assemble, great accessories. Convenient to use all over the house with no need to top up charge. To empty is straight forward, just make sure you are directly over bin or bag when doing so.
After reading many reviews we settled on this Vax vac for many reasons including that it was cordless and lightweight, so with my disability its easy to use. However, I’m quite disappointed with the battery life which doesn’t seem to last very long. I seem to have to recharge basically after every use. Our previous vax vac actually came with 2 batteries and was less expensive than this one and I’ve wondered why the same couldn’t be done with this one?

Great hoover which is really easy to use, it’s much better than a corded Hoover. The battery life is reduced when you increase the power but that’s not really a problem, it still lasts so that I can clean my whole house
Very good vacuum highly recommended
Love this, it has made our lives so much easier. We have a very hairy dog and wooden flooring and it is so easy now to just whip round with the vac. Easily cleaned and nice little wall mount. Negative side is it struggles on deep shag carpets and rugs and will cut out. This is on one hand a nice little safety feature to stop the motor burning out. Overall very good on short pile and wooden floors. Battery at full power and with roller going is about 15 minutes which is fine for us. Would last longer on normal power and without roller turning.
I ordered that for my sister as she has no account but she let me tried it when arrived and I need to say I am really impressed. It is very strong and powerful vacuum cleaner, battery charging fast and also has indicator so whe know exactly when needs to be charge. Also what I like it that you can take apart a dust bin and emptied and you do not have to lift whole vacuum cleaner to do it. Vacuuming is very easy and smooth especially when you press an extra button and rotate brush starts working
Edit: after using that for a week I decided to send it back, I found out it is a bit too heavy

Suction only strong when on the actual floor. If you use your hand to check it, it probably won’t feel that strong. Believe me it is! So much so it has sucked the corners of my laminate flooring joints off. This is not the manufacturers or seller fault of course. If you use the boost or the brush setting it will use battery real fast. But looks good and does the job.

Great little help around the house for the little jobs with crumbs and hairs. This is not suitable to hoover a whole house this is a little fabulous helper to keep things in check dust, crum and hair free floors. Love the separate button for extra power head brush. Love it!!!

Battery life is bad even though I’ve only used it twice since having it. I have the battery on charge overnight so it’s fully charged and with it on full power the battery drains so fast and wouldn’t be charged enough if you were to vaccum a house with it on full powe
Powerful and easy to use
I am very pleased with this product. It is more powerful than I thought it would be and the suction does not diminish as it fills. The battery is easy to remove and charge, and it is very easy to empty. The rotating head and the lack of a cable make it perfect for more difficult to reach places, dusty corners and under furniture. It picked up more dirt than I thought was on my carpets!
Quick whip round
Fast delivery.. lovely for a quick whip round, but I am and older person, and find it a bit heavy after a time. Definitely cant hold it up for cieling cobwebs ect.. battery doesn’t last long either.. as I said it’s ok for a quick whip round though. But not for a good clean up.

With a 160W motor and 18V battery which makes it less powerful than the MAX version of the Blade 2 (which is 40v battery and 265w). Though it looks very similar to the Blade 2.
A Breakdown of What’s Included:
* Dusting brush useful for blinds, drawers, keyboards.
* Crevice tool nice and long but the suction end is a little on the wide side, might be difficult to get into the crevices of some cars it’s also not suitable for my dryer vent.
* Tool caddy to hold a tool on the long wand.
* It has removable battery and a battery specific charging unit, which doesn’t require the housing – which is an upgrade on the blade 2. This is a much needed feature as I can have a backup fully charged battery on standby and swap them around, never needing to wait for a dead battery.
* Wall mountable.
* Lithium iron battery, 40 minutes runtime with a battery life indicator on the battery itself (neat idea!). It takes 2 hours to acheive full charge.
* Main cleaning head similar to Blade 2 version. Nice stiff bristles and grooved cylinder which is really good for compacted pet hair. The soft rubber wheels don’t scratch my oak, polished and my marble floors.
* It also has a clear flexible suction joint leading to the bin compartment such a useful festure to see where a potential blockage is.
* I love the lights dust tracking on the front of the head tool – we call them “headlights”, I’ve found this really handy for vacuming under our beds and sofas. I can hone in to a specific area in a dark corner.
The unit is very similar to the Blade 2 except for the removable battery which is an improvement.
The bin housing has a rubber anti-slip grasp handle. All the parts to the bin are removable so that you’re able to give them a good wash including the filter.
Easy eject bin from the main housing, unlike some other brands you won’t accidentally empty the bin whilst you’re vacuuming as it rejects from the side, not underneath like similar Dysons.
Very simple to operate on/off buttons on the upper portion of the handle on the housing. Brush ‘rotate motion’ for the main head, can be switched off so that you can select to use it only on carpets and thick piles. This feature preserves the battery.
There’s also an ‘turbo mode’ button which decreases battery life dramatically if used all the time.
Tools can be used directly affixed onto the shorter housing or attached to the end of the long wand to make the cleaning more upright and easier on your back.
The Negatives:
Though the power buttons are conveniently located on top of the hand grip on the main housing, I’ve found that I accidentally keep switching the unit ‘On’ when I’m trying to attach/detach the accompanying tools. A bit tedious at times.
The tool caddy that attaches to the long wand only carries one spare tool. So you’ll have to choose whether the crevice tool or dusting brush gets priority seating. It’s a shame these two tools cant interclip and can be stored together.
The unit won’t stand upright independently with the long wand attached. It needs to be stored leaning on something or in it’s wall mount.
Im not convinced I can interchange the interchangeable battery for an identical replacement with the newer Vax Blade 4 vacuum cleaner which has just launched, even though it’s in the OnePWR range, this one has a 3.0 Ah battery and that one has a 4.0 Ah.
Can this be classed as “one power”?
In principle, according to marketing, the OnePWR battery fits in the entire OnePWR range. Some clarification is needed here.
The Bottom Line:
All in all a very good vacuum, a few niggles here and there (listed above). Plus I’m surprised this one is less powerful than it’s predecessor.
As of writing, the online marketing information doesn’t clarify all the specifications in terms of volts and wattage prior to purchase, which makes it difficult to compare to Vax’s other offerings.
It’s a good lightweight and quiet unit, unless you have the habit of turbo-boosting everything!

Impressive!
I am really pleased with this Vax. I have limited mobility and painful joints so anything heavy is nigh on impossible to use. I have a gtech, which is a brilliant cleaner and very lightweight.
However, it doesn’t have attachments and doesn’t get right into the corners, and without buying extra parts it isn’t great for the stairs.
So, i ordered this Vax to see how it compares.
Obviously it isn’t as easy on my wrists, the main unit is quite heavy (if you have ‘normal’ wrist strength you won’t have any problems with it at all), and the machine as a whole isn’t as disabled friendly.
However, the cleaning power is superb! Guineapigs make an impressive mess at times and this Vax deals with it instantly. It’s very quiet, very easy to put together and charging the battery is a doddle.
The hand held function (ie just the main unit not the stick bit) is as good as I hoped, the stairs are going to be so much easier to keep clean.
I won’t be able to use it when my hands are very bad, but then again I can’t use a pencil when my hands flare, so cleaning is bottom of the list!
It’s easy to see when it needs emptying and that job is also quick and easy.
So far I think this is a brilliant cleaner.
I will pop back in a couple of weeks when we have both used it more, and update as necessary.
