Have only been using these straps for a few weeks, but I’ve found them to do what I need them to do, which is to support my grip – the weakest part of my body in relevant exercises – so that I can properly work the target muscles, which I couldn’t do beforehand. I bought them to replace ones I got from bulk that were too thick. As someone with smaller hands, it was an issue.

Only four stars for comfort simply because it’s inevitable that the straps will dig into the wrists when you’re lifting heavy, so discomfort is expected. But it’s very minor, and not an issue.

And the little red dots do seem to help, so a nice innovation.

To sum up, they’re certainly worth less than a tenner.

Great bit of kit, really comfy around the wrist the none slip grip helps with a bit with confidence that the bar won’t roll or slide

Straps are really helpful if ur deadlifting and I would recommend them if you feel like ur grip is letting you down. And these straps are perfect for the price

The product itself seems like it would work but my wrists/hands were too small so it didn’t wrap around my wrists correctly. Some different sizes would be great.

These are great. The rubber nibs for the grip are firm but not overly uncomfortable. My only gripe is the brand label over the padding tends to rub on my wrist mid set and cause some irritation. But this is a minor considering what you’re getting for the price. Their lifting belts are solid too, would highly recommend their range of products to my friends

These straps were a great purchase. I was struggling with grip on really heavy weights and these straps have helped to improve my reps on heavy weight and even the weights I can lift. There are some complaints of them leaving marks on your wrist and yes, if your lifting anything heavy enough that you need straps, it’s going to leave small marks for a few minutes…but it’s an expected price to pay as far as I’m concerned.

The grip is great, padding and length just right and price is cheaper than what I would expect for something of this quality.

Honest review and for just under 10 I doubt you could find bette

A good product. Only recently purchased so can’t comment on durability. One thing yo note, if you have small wrists the cuff will stop the strap going completely through so it may feel loose around the wrist.

I myself deadlift 150kg currently and the straps hold the weight with no issue, and my friend who can deadlift 200kg has tried them too and they held up just great so durability is no concern of mine.

I took me a while to work out how to use them, hence why I have attached photos which may help others.

I don’t use them all the time as I still want to increase forearm strength, but for exercises where my forearms fail before the muscles I am training (such as deadlifts or shrugs), they are amazing.

The quality seems good and I find them to be comfortable. I’m very pleased.

Takes the strain off the forearms

Just copped a new pr on deadlifts they work nicely. Not only for deadlifts but also for pull sessions for back. Use hook grip paired with the straps for crazy mind muscle connection. Focus less on grip and more or back. Would recommend

This is a very good tool for weightlifting. Specially for pull exercises.

To not get hurt, you do need to position it properly on your wrist, so when it squeezes down when executing the exercise, it will sit comfortably on your wrist/hand area.

    Overall: recommended!

  33. Anonymous says:

The first part of the body to ache during deadlifts are the hands – grip becomes uncomfortable & you have to rest! This makes completing a set in one go much easier – supplementing the handgrip

These are decent straps for someone just getting in to weightlifting. I’m a beginner and have found that these have helped tremendously with hitting my first few PRs.

People have complained about marks and bruising etc when using these, it happens. They’re straps carrying 100+kgs from your wrists they’re not gonna feel nice.

Ensure you’re using proper technique when setting these straps up (Put the bar between the strap loop and your wrist, not in your hands).

Overall, these are decent. I’d still recommend figure 8 straps or chalk as these tend to be more convenient.

These are good but 2 things to mention:

    1. Not ideal for smaller wrists. The additional cushioning gets in the way.
    2. There are sharp plastic bits on them I presume to stop the material from fraying in areas but the plastic digs in to my wrists.

I used these for the first time today and they have really enabled me to continue training with weights. I have a forearm muscle/tendon issue and my grip has been severely compromised. I used these as a last attempt to find a way to continue my training with bar work in the gym and they are great. Totally non slip and comfortable I am now happily continuing my weight training. I have none to compare to but for me they worked a treat.

I wanted to wait a few months before rating this product as some of the reviews were quite negative.

These straps are great. I use them for the deadlift and lat pull down machine when lifting heavy. I like the extra length as you can really wrap it around the bar or handle, it doesn’t slip and the padded wrist area is really comfortable.

I like these straps, in fact this is the second set I’ve bought. They typically last me around two years before one of the straps breaks, but I find them good value for money, comfortable, and they put up with a lot of strain – but they’re bound to break at some point. Excellent set of straps.
The padding provides a lot of comfort, and on the whole, feels very strong and able to support the heavy weights I lift.

Only downside, is I wear an Apple Watch, and the Gel padding often catches the watch crown, and turns Siri on. Just means I turn Siri off on my watch, which to be fair I dont use anyway !!.

These are the first straps I’ve used for deadlifting. I got to a point in training where my grip strength had become the limiting factor, when I wanted to increase weight. These straps have 100% contributed to all of the progress I’ve made using them over the last couple months. I can’t fault these straps at all!

  53. LieseloLongstre says:

As a relative newbie to lifting, I noticed my grip strength was a limiting factor as I started to get heavy with my deadlifts especially. My hands are also prone to getting calluses from the friction on the metal bar, to the point where sometimes I couldn’t perform a lift due to the pain and bleeding. These straps have managed to fix both of these problems for me, and calluses are a thing of the past!

I highly recommend these straps to any lifter, especially if it’s your first experience with straps, as they are very easy to figure out and they work wonders at helping you move some weight where otherwise you might be hindered.

These are comfortable enough to have on and use with a barbell, however, you can’t get these woven around the barbell tightly enough to get the job done.

I’ve never used straps before but with all the gyms closing I set up a home gym and got an axle bar because it was cheaper. I quickly found out that I needed some for deadlifts.

After a couple of sets to get used to them they do exactly what I hoped and let me load the bar up past where my grip would normally give out on an axle bar.

My wrists are fairly large and these will fit me using a 50mm axle bar so size wise they should be fine for most applications. Not sure about the maximum weight they could handle but for a test I put 150kg through one and it held that fine so 300kg + which should be plenty for 99% of people.

Can’t really speak about lengevity as I have only used them for my heaviest sets for the last month so not a huge amount of use yet but no signs of wear and tear yet so I expect they will hold up pretty well over time.

    Overall very happy with them.

My only complaint is that rubber/gel pad thing. This can end hurting your hands more than without it or even pinch your skin when you’re at the top of your deadlift. Doesn’t sound too bad but trust me – do 12 deadlifts where it pinches you an you’ll throw them away instantly :D.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersThe Beast Gear Weight Lifting Straps are great to use when your grip gives out when lifting heavier weight. So far I have dead lifted up to 160kg with them when my natural hand grip struggles at 120kg. They are extremely easy to use and there’s an online YouTube video which shows how to strap both hands on a long bar. I have also found them good for lifting heavier dumbells which I struggle with using my weight lifting gloves for certain movements. They feel really strong and well made. The padded foam on the top of the wrist loop, stops the straps digging into your wrists. When twisting your hand with on the bar you get a very tight and comfortable grip. I would definitely recommend them when lifting heavy weights.

  74. AvisRutledge says:

I’m fairly small, 5 ft 1 and petite but the padding fits my wrist perfectly. They would also fit someone with large wrists! I tend to use these after my grip fails but I still have more sets to do. Don’t get me wrong you won’t start lifting twice the amount as you usually do, but they spread the strain all over your forearms rather than concentrated on the inside of your forearm.
They are built beautifully and will last for ages. Amazing quality for the money!

  75. Gabby Triolo says:

     United Kingdom

Ive been training in gyms weight lifting for 15 years plus. I have started to suffer with injuries on my forearms and straps were recommended to me. After a quick look online I bought these. They are really easy to use, and overall they have reduced the load on my grip / forearm when completing heavy ‘pull’ lifts which is allowing me to avoid injury. I have noticed that the material sometimes snags and you get a sharp bit of material you need to try and remove. Also the padding designed to sit around the wrist feels a bit cheap. Overall though they are great straps if you have never head any before and want to try them out without investing too much money.

I have only been using these straps for a couple of weeks, but they have really helped in increasing my maximum lifts. The amount of additional grip they give is amazingly good and really support when lifting my 1rm. They are well made and you can tell they are built to last. The speed of delivery, and service aftercare is fantastic and I would happily order more beast gear products. You wont be disappointed if you purchase these straps.

After being recommended to use straps to surpass the grip strength issue whilst chasing my max lift, my wife bought these for me for Christmas. I’ve never used straps before, so the advice provided with them was certainly helpful and the follow up e-mails were reassuring in that I know where to go if I come across any issues. I also found an instant improvement to how much I was able to deadlift with the help of straps.

With these straps in particular it is harder for me to review as unfortunately I don’t have anything to compare them to. What I can say however, is that the gel pads are comfortable to grip and the padding around the wrist is very much appreciated. I hope these last a while as if they do, I will certainly get more to replace them when they need it!

I use this product for dead lifting or workouts using pulling motions (back day). I find the grip is really good, easy to use and so far proven quite durable. I feel for the price I paid they are an excellent product. If I had to be picky, be nice to have slightly more padding on the wrists. All in all I am pleased with this purchase.

They work well, are comfy, and look sharp. Also, my fiancee (who has tiny hands) can use them as easily as I can (and I have large hands), which was a pleasant surprise.

have been looking for a good pair of lifting straps for a while now, and after reading through all the reviews and seeing most were majority, I decided to order them and was so glad I did. I tend to struggle with my grip a lot, and although I can go heavier, my grip deters me, but these are perfect for me. I tried them out the other day and got got an extra 20kg on my deadlift! Excellent quality, super happy customer 🙂

I really like these straps; they feel thick and quite robust, and they’ve definitely helped on my deadlift. The thing that really stands out is the customer service though. I ordered a pair, and the pair that came had some fraying on it, and so I returned it when I saw that.
After this, I get a card sent to me in the mail, personally apologising for this; Ben from Beastgear emails me and talks through what the issue with the straps were and then sends me a replacement pair. The level of customer interaction is excellent, and it’s very clear that they care about their customers. Would strongly recommend to anyone.

From the start, you can see that the straps are high quality. They are made from some heavy duty fabric, but they don’t feel bulky or heavy. They feel like they are made to last!

The comfort is verry nice too. I’ve used other straps in the past that dont have padding in them, and always leave the gym with marks on my wrists. With these, the padding makes sure that your wrists are protected from the straps.

The grip on them is also a nice touch. Having looked through the free user guide supllied, i went with the ‘grip facing the hands option’. This gives me confidence when lifting with sweaty hands!

Now that we have the fuctionality out of the way, let me just focus on the look! I opted for the red and black option, and they definetly look the part.

These are made by a small uk business, but the quality shows experiance and knowlage in the product.

I used chalk at the same time as using these and the bar flew straight up. Won’t be deadlifting again without these unless I want to train my grip strength! Really comfortable too, I’ve never used another pair but I don’t think I ever will honestly.

Bought these for my deadlifts in the gym and was pretty confused on how it worked, went to look it up online and then noticed I had an email. A lovely email explaining exactly how to use them in great detail. Actually put a smile on my face. Super nice personal touch and made me instantly want to go and 5 star review these. Didn’t get much use out of them today as I was just testing them and in a rush but I’ll come update this review more after a month of heavy use to say how they lasted and review them more.

Very nice straps. I have forearm tendonitis and gripping for me is not an option. Therefore these do the griping part for me just fine. Thank you

First time using lifting straps. I didn’t even know had to put them on at first, so I had to ask someone else.

They seem comfortable if I don’t tighten them too much, but I’m not 100% what some actually comfortable straps are meant to feel like.

But regardless, they do their job. I put them on, grab the weight and it definitely helps. I use them whenever I do back. I don’t really see how you can use them on anything besides pulling movements.

Overall, very pleased with this purchase.

These are great straps which make deadlifting a pleasure. The written instructions provided by way of website link are great as I had never used straps before and so needed some guidance. After 6 or so uses they have held up well with gel grips staying comfortable.

I use these at the gym all the time for my deadlifts and rack pulls. They are excellent. I have nerve damage so weakness in my right hand and these have helped me to increase the weight without worrying about my grip strength.

Made lifting 1000x more comfortable, can lift more weight as a result of it. Material feels very durable, the orange grips work a treat. The padding is comfy, loop of straps sits comfortably. Seller sends out instructions on how to use & checks in after purchase. Overall very pleasant transaction, will be shopping with this seller again.

I love these straps, definitely helped when it came to deadlifts.

    Pros:
    Very comfortable
    Easy to use
    Grips really well.
    Great for the money

    Cons:
My only gripe, the end part where has started coming undone (cotton part) after a day of heavy lifting.

The beast gear weightlifting straps are absolutely great and have helped me increase my PB by a whopping 40 kg in dead lifting in a very short period of time I would highly recommend this and it is very likely I will be buying more beast gear products!!!

Great product, I just tried it yesterday in the gym with a deadlift and I can’t be happier. Thanks to these straps, I can hold the bar much better and I’ve improved my posture as well (because I don’t have to worry about holding the bar and can focus in doing the movement well). They seem a great quality product and hopefully will last long time before buying new ones.

Great quality product and I can see if I could get them tight these would be a great strap but sadly due to small thing wrists and the padding band means the tightest I can get them to without a lot of faffing is to the point the padding starts which is slightly too loose for me. I don’t lift mega weight though so will probably swap them with another lifter who has normal straps.

I’m using a lifting programme that includes Romanian deadlifts. As the weight went up, my grip was letting me down after 4 or 5 reps. I bought a pair of these straps and they have helped enormously. Within a week I’d added 5kgs.
They are comfortable – well padded across the back of the hand, and the straps are sturdy. I’ve only been using them for a few weeks, and only for deads and single arm rows, but there’s no sign of wear and tear at all. You get user instructions (I used the You Tube video) which for a newcomer like me, were really clear. Good after service too. Recommended.

Great quality and very reasonably priced straps

Great grip, easy to get wrapped, and nice and easy to release as well. My only issue is that the padding extends just a little far, meaning I can’t quite get them as tight as I’d like them before I start wrapping.

Had previously bought a cheap pair of wrist wraps which were causing friction on my wrists when deadlifting. These are padded and so much more comfortable to use. The tacky parts to provide extra grip are quite useful and provide extra grip. If anything it’s hard to let go of the bar when you’re done!
