Brilliant product which is so easy to use, woodworking is a hobby for me, highly recommend.

    Doesn't fit my saw however.
This thing is awesome for what it is.

Unfortunately my Circular saws don’t work in the track as 2 are narrower than the track allows and 1 is wider. What I’ve done for the wider 1 is fit a wider trim piece to the underside to make up the space and for the other 2 I use the back as a straight edge instead.

Its totally dead straight and easily strong enough to handle anything I throw at it (not literally)

Don’t think this is a bad investment for the money

A good product at a reasonable price
If like me you own a circular saw that is guide rail compatible and you yearn for the possibility of using it to easily and accurately cut up sheet material, this could be the answer to your prayers. As a designer crafts person I could not warrant the expense of the Bosch version and therefore researched this Evolution kit containing everything you are likely to need for a third of the price.
My main concerns related to perfect compatibility, construction quality and accuracy.
    – On the first point I can confirm that if your saw claims to work with the Bosch rails (for Bosch tools it must have the letter G is at the end of the product code) it is ok.
    – Construction quality is not quite up there with the big names but the aluminium extrusions are sturdy, straight and correctly sized. The two lengths of track line up accurately using the supplied joining pieces but I was surprised to find that the ends had not been cut accurately square. Although this does not prevent correct usage, this simple and unnecessary issue does little to inspire confidence and could lead to some product returns. In practice most users would be able to correct it themselves or just live with it.
-As with all saw guides of this type, on first use the plastic splinter guard needs to be trimmed away with the saw set to take a very shallow cut – particularly important as this one is made from a slightly brittle plastic. The instruction sheet fails to even mention the need to slice this off to exact size.
    – The supplied bag is well put together from what seems to be tough fabric but inevitably offering limited protection to the track corners at each end.
    – In conclusion, this is a very useable product at a realistic price and providing compatibility is checked for your saw, this is a worthwhile investment and recommended for all but every day professional use.

Good track at a decent price
I have used this track with a Titan branded track saw and it has worked well, after a little adjustment on the saw it fits well and allows good accuracy of cuts. Joining the two sections together is easy as the tracks come with the joiners and a hex key. The package also includes some clamps which are OK but dont seem as sturdy as my Makita ones, I suspect they wont last too long. Another thing regarding the clamps is that I found the Makita clamps would not fit these tracks which is a little annoying. The carry bag included is well made and fits everything with a little room for addition accessories.

Overall I would recommend the track, as long as you adjust the saw it will fit well and cut accurately.

Not accurate with bosch & doesn't line up straight when fixed togethe
Unfortunately when the two tracks are slotted together on my one it does not line up square. I have tried loosening the brackets to see if it was that, but it just doesn’t budge.
Basically i will have to buy the more expensive bosch one for my bosch plunge. Was hoping to avoid doing that.

Good Quality, great price with functional carry / protective bag makes this a product that fully meets my expectations. I’ve now tried this with two different branded track saws makita and Erbaur and had same results (great fit) so I think it is more universal. I’m not a professional but think the Length of track pieces is spot on to allow flexibility between short and long jobs like trimming a door.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our Usersbest thing ive bought in a while
I love this thing, I used to use a home made wooden one, but this is so much easier and more accurate…but if u notice I marked it down for acuracy? thats because the way they show you how to use it is not spot on accurate,
Ie stick it down and use the white strip as a guide… that strip gets wrecked and is easily cut wrong if the joins are not 100% accurate, which is not really possible. Good enough for a lot of jobs though. But if you want it to be mm perfect, calculate the distance of the back of the guide to the blade, for me its 187 mm (that will always be the same). say you want to cut 500mm. Set a ruler to 313 (using a stop) then set another ruler using the first as its measure so they are both exact, clamp them to each side of the board, push the back of the guide onto them, they act as a stop, then cut. spot on accurate everytime.

Decent Product, Excellent Value For Money
If you have a circular saw it can be tricky to line up a long peice of wood and get a straight edge. A colleague recommended I try using tracks, not realising the tracks can be very expensive.
This product offers a significant price incentive and it certainly meets my simple home improvement needs. I recently used the tracks when laying down floor boards in my attic.
The 2 tracks are easy to put together using attachments rods and my circular saw mounted the track nice and easy. I also use trench clamps so that I can use the tracks on the floor without worrying I am going to slice into the crossbeams or carpet.
A couple of clamps are also provided to ensure the tracks stay in place when using the circular saw, and results are really impressive and using the tracks really keep wastage to a minimum.
The tracks lack some of the more useful features that the higher end tracks include, but these tracks are the ideal product for simple home improvements. I also like the storage bag which is more than adequate to keep the tracks stored away.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersGood, but some slight disadvantages over main brands
I bought this to use with a tracksaw of another brand, which it does perfectly well. There are two points that are worth noting with these tracks. Firstly, and most annoyingly, they can be a little hard to get a dead square connection when you connect them up. This isn’t something unique to these tracks, as any track with a connection can be a bit fiddly to get set up well.
The slightly more annoying thing of note is that whereas makita and festool tracks have an open t slot along the top of their tracks, this track has two t slots on its underside, which makes for a very clean track and more space for clamps, but does mean that if you wish to use any track accessories like a parallel guide, then this won’t work.

In all honesty, it’s not a huge problem unless you use your tracksaw for finer joinery projects, and I’m more than happy to trade off for the price saving over the festool track which is over 300 (!)

The bag is decent – probably better for not having zips – and the clamps are…passable. Absolutely good enough considering the overall price.

    The clamps don't reliably clamp.
Doing long straight cuts freehand is hard to do with a handheld power saw. Of course you’d normally draw a pencil line to follow with a metre rule or something of that kind, but even so, when doing a cut down a long plank or a sheet of wood, it’s all too easy to wander off course a little and end up with a slightly wavy edge.

These guides help to get a good straight cut first time. Setup is a bit of a chore and the weakest point of the product is the clamps which seem to want to shake loose with the vibration of the saw action – you need to be pretty brutal with them to stop that from happening. However, once setup you get a lovely straight and perfect long cut.

Useful addition to the circular saw. Great for use in doors and worktops. You have to run the saw down the track to cut/match the track’s plastic edge to the saw. I found this a bit awkward to carry out. It has to be done accurately as this will be the edge used for all future cuts.

I’ve had rails before from other manufactures that when connected together are not straight, I took a bit of a gamble on these but it payed off as they are dead straight when used together. The only small niggle is the splinter guard is made from hard plastic and not a rubber but the strip is cheap enough and I change it whenever is replace the blade in my saw anyway. Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGood Quality - High Value
I already have an Evolution track saw and the short track that is used with it. I was impressed with the saw, but the two short lengths were not good having been cut off the extrusion by a blind man and no where near 90 degrees for fitting together. They also seemed to have a slight twist.

Thankfully these longer lengths are fine. They are flat and straight with the ends cut at exactly 90 degrees meaning they fit together perfectly.

They come with two clamps that slide in a groove that is under the track and will hold it firmly in place. They are slightly awkward to use, and I suspect that there are better options out there but almost certainly a lot more expensive.

The track is fitted with a flexible edge piece that is sacrificial. What you do is make sure that you adjust your circular saw so as to take out any backlash when fitted to the track — best or easiest done without the blade fitted — and then you run the saw down the track which, then cuts the edge to suit your blade. Because the blade has made the cut edge you know that this is a perfect edge to use lining up your markings. I haven’t checked but given that this is sacrificial it might be possible to buy replacements if you change the blade and hence the thickness of cut.

You have two lengths that can be joined using a couple of steel bars and four Allen screws. Not the most efficient but works well and is secure. It means you can cut an entire length of board in one go. Naturally a single length is enough for a cross cut of a board.

There isn’t a soft ‘sticky’ pad on the bottom of the track which some expensive track saw systems have which allows a bit of cutting on the fly without the clamps. With this system you must use some form of clamping, either the supplied clamps or your own fitted over the top.

The track and clamp comes with a carry bag that will keep things safe and secure from damage. The fit is a bit on the tight side, but it is perfectly useable.

Like all the Evolution stuff I have this is a well-priced product that is aimed at the serious home user or light industrial tradesman. For serious pro-users there are far more expensive and elaborate systems out there from high end manufacturers. For most of us however, this Evolution system is good value for money and works well.

Great product and value for money is exceptional. Let down again by the shoddy storage option, in this case the bag. The tracks are snug to say the least as you have a fight on your hands to get the tracks in and out of the bag which I’m sure will wear as quickly as your patience. Such a shame.

    Good Quality - High Value

Good value
Great value for money. A good length of track in 2 pieces, with 2 clamps for securing the track. I bought the track in conjunction with the Evolution saw R185CCSX, but the track should also work with other brands of circular saw. Will be using it to rip plywood for constructing kitchen cabinets and will update the review.

Fantastic value - for accurate and repeatable cuts.
I’ve used these with the Evolution R185CCSX+ saw and also my Festool TS55.
The quality of these tracks is not too different from the festool and they are great value.
Clamps and extension / connection rods work well to provide a 2.8 metre long track for long accurate and repeatable cuts.
I wish these had been on the market sooner!

    Quality tool
Very helpful tool for people doing lots of cutting in daily basis. Cutting tracks arrived well packed in box together with carry bag, 2 clamps and 1 Allen key. The tracks are compatible with few popular brands saw machines, not only from the same brand. Tracks are well made of strong aluminium. The edges of the tracks are a bit sharp and pointy so need to have it in mind when setting it up and work with it. The cutting tracks are good size for cutting large sheets of wood, boards with great accuracy. One track is 1.4m long but if the cutting sheet is longer we can extend the track to up to 2.8m
Clamps are easy to use, good quality, helps to hold tracks firmly into the board/ sheet we want to cut, preventing making the wrong cut. Attic floor is nearly ready, all thanks to this tracks, it speeded up our work. Recommended to everyone.

Excellent value tracks that work with a range of saws.
These are great tracks for using a tracksaw/plunge saw. I have a Triton saw and it works on these tracks very well. These do not have the extra captive section on the Triton track for locking the saw to the track when making angled/tilted cuts. But they can still be used with the saw and added to the Triton track – the slots line up perfectly. The splinter guard strip is really good on these as it is quite a stiff plastic, rather than a thin rubber strip I have used on other tracks. This means that once trimmed to the saw it gives a super clean finish with virtually no splintering. The clamps are OK and do the job although I do prefer quick release versions. The case is great for transporting the tracks and clamps to a jobsite. The bag is just the right size, holding the tracks securely, but not too tight that it is tricky to get them back in afterwards. All in all great value and a good quality product.

    Worth the money
It fits the Dewalt DWS520 plunge saw perfectly and has worked perfectly cutting over 30 8×4 sheets of 3/4” ply down to 2×8 to fit through attic trap door and floor it . The only annoyance i had was that 3 of the 4 sides were a couple of MM off square so left a gap when fitted together . If i didn’t have to square them off with a Mitre saw i would have happily given 5*

    Be wary of edges.
Very well made. Perfect that its accommodating for many types of circular saws.
To prepare for use, use alan key provided, turn aligner upside down and you will see the rails screwed in. Undo with alan key, slide to position and attach the other piece then screw rails into place on both pieces.
One of the edges is not cut very well at all and I’ve actually managed to scratch my arm on it when getting it ready, I didnt notice the edge prior to this. This did slightly effect the lining together of the two pieces, they still screw together well just needs tightening quite strongly. The saw still stayed in place never the less so it only more effected the appearance than the quality of use.
Overall, I think for the price the cutting quality needs to be checked by control more before leaving the warehouse, or maybe they could implement some filing along the edge so it’s not as sharp. Other than that everything seems so well made. Comes with everything you need provided. Comes with a handy well made bag that holds everything including a large pockets for the vices. This is all stripped in tight with velcro and has large strong handles to carry it.
I would recommend, I’d just be wary of the edges.

I am using this with my evolution saw which came with some track, ( model R185ccsx) but nothing like the length of this.
This has been easy to use and have achieved straight cuts on larger pieces of wood, namely a new door for my shed, I took the old wooden back door from my kitchen and cut a strip off to make it fit, without the track this would have been a disaster but I was able to get a clean straight cut..
Like most jobs the time is in the preparation and it did take a few minutes to set things up but once I got my saw going it was easy to achieve the straight rip.

These tracks along with the Circular saw are great for all sorts of projects, and Evolution are decent – this my 3rd (different type of) power circular saw (Table and Chop are my others), and it works a treat for the DIY projects I have around the house and garden.

Work fine with my Triton plunge saw. Just as well-made as the Triton track. Only one issue is that the chip strip is too thin; it doesn’t touch the wood so doesn’t really do it’s job very well. But thicker chip strip can be purchased cheaply online so still works out to be good value.

This is clearly the way to cut in a long straight line, clamp the guide rail to your work, door etc and simply push your circular saw which sits on the rail, no more wonky lines, takes a few minutes to set up but well worth the time when you see the results, 100% straight line both vertical and horizontal, superb piece and very well made, all joiners need to invest in this valuable workshop accessory.

This is an indispensible accessory for the Evolution track saw if you need to cut long boards. I used it to cut oversized kitchen worktops to width and the results were very good. The supplied clamps are a bit of a pain (the fixing screws tend to work loose) but this does not really detract from a first class tool.

Bought the Evolution track to extend my Lidl plunge saw and it fits the rails perfectly.

Great for cutting large sheet stock and the carry bag is very good and even has a built in pocket to keep the clamps and allen key for the connector bars.
