Speedy delivery, and very solid product. Been a Sony headphone guy for ages, great sound poor build these are going to last. Sound is great so far will have to explore wired connection with Tidal for full eval, money value is all there.

    Money well spent. 9.8 / 10
Amazing headset. Very comfortable and easy to use with incredible sound.
I tried most of the top rated headsets and these are the only ones that they ticked all the boxes and value for money.
That carry case is a Fantastic extra.
U won’t want to send these bk.

    Lucid Ls50x
Brilliant sounding headset with a really strong stable connection to xbox one and a good clear mic for use with your fire team.

However I had to return them due to the ear cup size and clamping force on your head, I personally found them so uncomfortable to use after about 15 minutes I had to change headsets.

However if you have a smaller head/ears your wont go wrong in buying a pair.

    Hope this helps.

More is expected for the price
Good quality product as expected by the price tag, that being said, the writting in the headband is, in my personal view, of poor taste design wise.
It’s extremely comfortable to use for hours without discomfort, I like specially the versatility, I can use it with my Xbox, phone with or without the removable microphone and whilst I’m traveling without being too conspicuous. Unfortunately it doesn’t have an app for settings and updates as an headset with this price tag should have, the update procedure is bit fidly but doable.
    Pros
    Quality construction
    Comfort
    Sound quality
    Versatility

    Cons
No app for settings and updates
Some design features of poor taste
    Price Vs features

    Best Xbox wireless headse
On Xbox, this is the best headset I’ve used. I tried so many wireless headsets in the past few years. The dedicated controls easy to access make the experience super convenient. If you need to mute/unmute frequently, control the game chat / game sound balance quickly this is the perfect headset. The product design was well done. The sound is great, it’s high quality. The feeling of the device itself is amazing too.

One issue, it doesn’t have Bluetooth support to get audio from the computer / phone.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersWorks well so far so good

Out the box: Easy to hook up to the Xbox and install. Everything works well, sound quality is probably average, definitely better than $30 headsets but not as crisp as $150 ones. Microphone works well as far as I know, Warzone randoms confirmed they can hear what I’m saying lol.. Comfortable, large but not overly bulky like some other headsets. I like the subtle design too. Love the detachable mic, love the rotating sound control and push mute being on the earpiece itself. Very sleek, wireless pairs seamlessly. I’m happy with the purchase as of today. Have not charged yet.

    Great for the price
Excellent piece of kit for the price has a great battery life of around 15 to 20 hours between charges, sound is great and is very comfortable for a long gaming session. I gave it 4 instead of 5 as the game to chat mixer on right ear cup isn’t great and have to play around a bit to get a good balance. But all in all a very good wireless headset.

I bought this to use with my Xbox Series X. The headset paired as easy as pairing a controller. It's very comfortable to wear, I wore it for a full day game session with no discomfort at all. The volume and chat mix controls on the side feel a bit flimsy but work as expected.

Absolutely love them except a few minor flaws
Absolutely love them except a few minor flaws…

These are very bass heavy which I love but its not to everyone’s liking. Out of the box I get a random issue of them turning off occasionally however this is not very often. If you update the firmware this issue is corrected however a new one arises where they will stay powered on and require a hard reset easily done by removing the right ear cup pad and inserting a pin in the reset hole.

…update you can use the usb dongle to connect wirelessly to you pc however I have decided to go back to the penrose x as the two issues mentioned above make them unusable I found since the firmware update they would stop responding to commands (stay on) more and more frequently.

Previously I had the audeze penrose x which I returned as they would also stay on and require a hard reset also the mic would randomly start cracking whist in a Teams/Skype call hopefully a one off so I had no choice than to return them for another pair.

What I love about these is the ability to adjust volume/mic settings by twisting the ear cups. 5 eq modes and the ability to mute live audio and mute the mic simply by pressing the cup either side, another awesome feature is the ability to turn off mic monitoring/side tone by pressing and holding the right ear cup. There is an included hard case which you do not get with the Penrose X.

Being able to have Bluetooth connectivity to my phone whist playing online is awesome so I dont miss alerts.

Other than the overall feel the penrose only trump these with the ability of the wireless audio by using the usb dongle other than that these outshine them for 100 less in my opinion. I have tried all xbox headsets including the ls35x and have a smaller head than most 57cm these are my favourite so far. I loved the audio of the penrose but without knowing how to adjust the eq settings I prefer these with the 5 presets especially bass boost ass I’m a bass junkie 😐

    Great wireless headset for xbox
Great headset. Some really nice features u don’t see on other headsets (red light for mute is simple but awesome). Bluetooth and wireless on xbox is huge. Great audio quality and comfort.

Cons are some minor software issues. Software updates should fix these issues over time (just like my tb stealth 700). Also, needs an app for software update over bluetooth thru ur phone. Kind of a pain to update the dongle and headset (windows 10 pc and usb required). Last con is the headset is very comfortable, but needs a tad more padding on the headband where it’s a bit thin. Only place it sometimes bothers me after long use.

I’ve tried a lot of wireless Xbox headsets, this is my favorite. They must be in bass bossy mode to sound right though. And when connected to Bluetooth they randomly shut off, sometimes frequently. Hopefully new firmware can fix this in the future. Comfortable, reliable connection to Xbox, voice and audio good, usb-c power instead of micro usb. These replaced my prior favorite pair, the turtle beach stealth 700 wireless and is an improvement overall.

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersBEST IN CLASS: Comparison Review
I’ve tried all the recent Xbox Series X/S headsets. Spoiler alert: the LucidSound LS50X are the only headset I’ve held onto. Therefore I shall provide some insight into how this headset compares to the other headsets I’ve tried.

    Comfort:
    1. SteelSeries Arctis 7X
    2. LucidSound LS50X
    3. Razer Kaira Pro
    4. Audeze Penrose

SteelSeries Arctis headsets are well renowned for their comfort, due to the innovative ski goggle headband. In this line-up the LS50X has the most comfortable ear cushions, which are coolant gel infused memory foam. Heavier than most of these other headsets, the thick padding on the headband ensures they are comfortable for long periods. By far the most uncomfortable are the Audeze Penrose, with an excessive clamping force and a headband that can create discomfort on the top of the head after a while. The lack of comfort with the Penrose was a deal-breaker for me.

    Audio:
    1. Audeze Penrose
    2. LucidSound LS50X
    3. Razer Kaira Pro
    4. SteelSeries Arctis 7X

The top 2 in this category are surprisingly close. The 100mm planar magnetic drivers inside the Penrose provide crystal clear audio, but do lack some oomph in the bass department. The LS50X also have a pristine sound, with a good selection of EQ settings to tailor the sound to your preference. The Razer Kaira go one step further thanks to the Razer app which is accessible via the Xbox console. There you can customise the audio, which I recommend doing so because it really brings the sound to life. The clarity is no match for the LS50X or Penrose, but the drivers inside the Kaira Pro’s is certainly a cut above the Arctis 7X. I was extremely disappointed by the 7X in this regard, with muddy audio and low volume on Xbox. Even after tweaking via the SteelSeries Engine 3 (on laptop) the audio was still weak compared to the others I’ve tested. Certainly a long way short of the standards set by SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless.

    Features:
    1. LucidSound LS50X
    2. Audeze Penrose
    3. Razer Kaira Pro
    4. SteelSeries Arctis 7X

The LS50X ticks all the boxes: Bluetooth connectivity (simultaneous), 2.4Ghz lossless wireless connection, EQ customisation, 3.5mm jack and USB C charging. The Audeze Penrose is very similar, though lacks different EQ modes. The Kaira Pro features Xbox wireless technology (direct to console compatibility) and has Bluetooth capability – although flawed since it can’t be used independently from the console. The Arctis 7X may seem a bit bare bones by comparison, but it’s the only headset that will work wirelessly across all formats. Change the USB switch from Xbox to USB and it will work wirelessly on PS4/PS5, Switch and PC. Furthermore, with a USB C connector on the dongle it will also work with Android phones.

    Build quality & accessories:
    1. LucidSound LS50X
    2. Audeze Penrose
    3. SteelSeries Arctis 7X
    4. Razer Kaira Pro

None of the headsets in this category suffer from poor build quality. All are good, though the LS50X is the standout with its premium look & finish. And it’s the only one on the list that comes bundled with a hard carry case. The Penrose also has excellent build, although the memory foam pads from the Mobius seem to have been downgraded to regular foam for the Penrose. The Kaira Pro are the most gamery looking headset, typified by the light show going on with the earcups – though you can disable it. The SteelSeries 7X are no different from their other, similar Arctis headsets. I do feel a refresh is perhaps warranted, and the mesh fabric earcushions can be polarising.

    Overall best headset:
    1. LucidSound LS50X
    2. Razer Kaira Pro
    3. Audeze Penrose
    4. SteelSeries Arctis 7X

The only reason the Audeze Penrose doesn’t place higher is down to the comfort. Even after a period of breaking the headset in, the comfort was still dissatisfactory. I wish some of these headset manufacturers placed more emphasis upon comfort, because a headset you don’t want to wear for extended periods is largely pointless. Others may get on better with the comfort, so do bear that in mind. I really like the Kaira Pro, other than a few niggles with the Bluetooth functionality, the sound is very good, comfort is great and they’re the most specific headset to Xbox (Xbox wireless & Razer app on console). The most disappointing are definitely the SteelSeries Arctis 7X. The low volume, lacklustre sound certainly detracts from the fact they’re one of the rarest headsets you’ll find (being multiformat).

To conclude, none of the headsets on this list are bad. Each has their strengths, but I’d say the LS50X is the only headset which doesn’t include a significant weakness. So for that reason, I have no hesitation in declaring the LucidSound LS50X is the best headset on Xbox I’ve used to date.

I was looking for a comfortable headset that did not sacrifice sound quality. The LS50x is an overall excellent headset. There are 5 different equalization settings, all of which provide different benefits whether you are gaming, streaming video, or listening to music. The headset looks sleek, and I appreciate the removable microphone (I also like the internal microphone). There are some strange "bugs" I've experienced with the headset including random powering off and WIFI interference, but these are insignificant compared to the look, feel, and sound provided by the product. Would recommend to any music listener or Xbox gamer.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usersgreat overall for my Xbox Series X and Xbox One X! mediocre mic
If the microphone was good, I would have given this 5 stars. But it’s not good. I asked my friends their thoughts and none of them like it. They thought it sounded muffled. For comparison, I’ve used the free headset that comes with my older Xbox One consoles as well as Turtle Beach headsets.

The design does look very premium, made of high quality materials. It’s pretty comfortable even for a big head like mine. The sound is excellent. I use Dolby Atmos for Headphones and the positional audio is great. I love that it’s wireless. There is a little USB dongle but it’s unobtrusive.

I also like it has a mic mute button instead of moving the boom mic. It’s why I didn’t like the Astros. Sometimes when you’re playing, you want those brief moments of muting your mic. On the Astros, you have to lift up your entire boom mic to mute. And then you have to lower it to talk again and that’s not good in the middle of a gun fight. It also has a little light at the end of the boom to tell you if you’re muted.

There is a little nitpick. The big round dial on the right ear determines the game audio/chat audio balance. You rotate it toward the front to hear less chat and more game. You rotate it toward the rear to hear more chat and less game. Well, this control is not very good. You keep turning and turning and the game audio is much higher than the chat. And then you turn to a point where it suddenly causes the game audio to be very quiet and you hear mostly chat. So it’s very difficult the fine-tune the game/chat audio. I still might return it because of this but I think I have the right balance now.

And the last thing is how scary the firmware update process is. First, Windows thinks the software is malicious. Second, the whole process is scary. You load the software, you insert a needle into a pinhole on the dongle and while holding the needle in the hole, you’re supposed to insert the dongle into the USB port. it’s hard to tell when you can let go of the needle or if hold the whole time or if it even matters.

I almost got the SteelSeries Arctis 9x but I held off because people said it becomes uncomfortable for people with large heads. I got to try them out at Best Buy and they seemed comfortable but I only wore it for a minute or so. But comparing build quality, the Arctis 9x seemed cheaper (and that also has a bad mic according to other reviewers). I also liked how the Arctis 9x had a retractable mic as well as no dongle needed.

Very comfortable, much more comfortable then the Turtle Beach 700s I had just prior. Excellent sound and I like the volume and chat controls. Only complaint is that sometimes the sound can cut out a bit when the battery gets into the last third of it's strength. The surround sound is excellent and it wirelessly hooks up to my Xbox like nothing.

JUST BUY! best headset i have had in a long long time!!
Have to give credit where it is due with this LS35X headset for Xbox, i have had a multitude of problems in the past with previous headsets due to me being a glasses wearer, most of the ones i have bought in the past have been very uncomfortable due to the pressure it causes but this one is finally the headset I’ve been looking for!!

The comfortability is next to perfect, I have had immense comfortability with this headset and i usual game anywhere around 4-5 hours in a given day! not once did I need to take it off for pressure relief being a glasses wearer, so I can only imagine how comfortable this for the lucky people who don’t wear glasses!!

The connectivity to sync up to the the Xbox is as simple as 2 clicks, the headset came already with a full charge, so they are ready to use straight out the box! Turn on your headset, turn on your Xbox, click sync button on headset and then Xbox, then you’re done… simple as that! must of taken me no more than 15 seconds to get it up and running.

Surround sound on these has blown me away! When you purchase this headset, please ensure that you go into your Xbox settings and enable the ‘Window Sonic for Headphones’ option for your headset, you will not regret it, Incredible bass, immersive 3-D sound, and noise cancellation is an added bonus!

I would of happily paid this price for this headset if it were Wired, so being Wireless i am over the moon with! easy one touch options to mute either game or voice chat, rather than scrambling to find the mute button on wired headsets!! This headset has rings on the ear cups which increase/decrease volume at will, very handy when you want to fine tune your gaming experience while in game!

Included is a great carry/protective case, along with an instruction manual and a sticker on each ear cup (easy peel btw) to scan on your phone which links you to a YouTube video on how to pair these with either an Xbox or PC!

This headset is by far the best value headset on the market, i have bought an additional 2 for my children, would 100% recommend!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this headset to replace an older and fragile Turtle Beach headset. These Lucid Sound ones are excellent. The setup was very easy and painless. I even paired them with my laptop and iPhone with ease. The mic monitoring function is great so you can hear yourself in the headset. The mute function is also good and there is a light on the mic which turns red when you're muted. Did I mention that the mic is removable as well? The headset has three equalizer functions and the bass boost actually sounds good. I have worn them for both gaming and Zoom conferences and had no issues with ear aches or discomfort after 4-6 hours. This headset also comes with a 3.5mm jack so you can plug it directly into a computer/laptop or other device without having to use the batteries. I highly recommend this headset and would buy again. No, they aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for and these are well worth the price.

These are definitely the best Xbox one headsets. The sound and features just dominate the Steelseries 9x which has a similar feature set. Turning up the volume and skipping tracks with the rotating dials are a game changer. Mic quality is subjective. Everyone I've spoken to on live said I sound the same as my dead Astro A50. If lucidsound comes out with one for the PS4, I'm buying that too.

    Elegant, sturdy, good sound
I have tried numerous headsets from various brands. The best sound that I have gotten was from a mid-tier Turtle Beach, but they were flimsy and break easily. I decided to give two different LucidSound models a try, along with two upper-end models from another company. These won out. You can get better sound quality from the previously mentioned TB but not by too far. These are more comfortable, look elegant, the controls are in very practical locations, and they seem rather sturdy.

If you are looking for some new audio, give these a try!

Almost perfect but just falls sho
Firstly the headset feels great on as the cooling gel in the ear cups work a treat. The sound quality is better than any other headset I’ve used minus Astro’s

The only negative I found was the volume/ chat balance. If they had master volume on one cup and the chat volume on the other these would be perfect but that is not the case. There did not seem to be a balance where the chat and game where at an acceptable level as one always over powered the othe

This headset is good. The wireless connectivity is a gamechanger and strangely rare in Xbox headsets, and I really cannot fault the audio or microphone. However unfortunately for me, the headset was a bit uncomfortable to wear. This still makes the headset a 4* in my opinion, however, when I’m spending on a high-end headset, I’m looking for 5*

Fantastic. I was coming from TB stealth 600, these are a definite step up in comfort, audio volume and overall sound distribution. The only two weakness are 1-audio/chat mix dial is awkward, certain balance points will cut mic chatter completely. It’s not a bad thing just gotta fiddle with dial easy to work around. 2- mids are a little too high, would’ve prefer slight more distribution to low and high across board, since no EQ adjusting it’s set in stone. Still even with those 2 weakness worth the price I paid which is on sale now. After updating software from PC the connectivity issues all gone, works flawless for me.

    Essential Choice for Xbox Gamers!
These are absolutely outstanding! I cannot find a single thing wrong with them.
Sound is loud, crisp and clear and Dolby Atmos adds that’s extra element you want for gaming.
The microphone is clear and well balanced, wether you have the boom mic or the built in mic in the headset. The noise cancelling works so well the person I was racing with thought I’d cut out when I wasn’t speaking.
The controls are so easy to operate, with easy access dials on the cups, with an easy push of the right ear cup to mute the mic. You even get a handy light on the boom mic to say it’s muted. Balancing game sound with voice is easy and you can even balance your own voice monitor.
The wireless is faultless. I went off to make a cup of tea downstairs and could still hold a clear conversation with my friend online. No glitches or cutting out at all.
For the cost you’re definitely not going to get more for your money. I challenge you, try and find something more feature rich at the price point.
I don’t know why these aren’t advertised more because I happened to hear about them via word of mouth.
Seriously, if you have an Xbox, buy these. Takes seconds to pair and you’re away, enjoying amazing sound and conversation, with stunning surround sound.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBest of the best, BUT update necessary
First, these headphones required software upgrades just like an iPhone. However, updates can only be done on a Windows computer. I have a Mac and could not do the updates from my computer and had to borrow a friend’s computer that had Windows to do the update. This is very critical to the performance of the headphones. Prior to the update, the headphones would cut out for 2-3 seconds at random intervals. Once I did the update, though, the headphones performed, and have continued to perform, flawlessly. At the time of this review, I have owned them for about 3 months and have only had to do one update. So, while an update is necessary for optimal performance, there are not frequent updates.

With that being said, the performance of the headphones, like I said earlier, is flawless. They are comfortable, clear, and versatile. The game volume is controlled on the left earpiece and voice chat volume on the right. Something I really appreciate with these controls is that the controls level themselves out. What I mean by that is this: if the game volume is loud and I turn up the voice chat, the game volume automatically softens to balance out. I expected that if I turn the voice chat up that this would not have an impact on the game volume and I would just have both loud game and voice chat volume. This feature is very practical because I can just adjust the volume on one of the earpieces and all volume levels will be balanced.

The removable mic is also a cool feature. Pushing the right earpiece mutes the microphone and, when muted, a red light appears on the mic to let the use know the mic is muted. This is somewhat distracting (although should not be a deal breaker in the slightest) but removing the mic gets rid of this distraction. However, even with the mic removed, there is an internal mic that still lets you communicate with other players. I cannot say if there is a difference in the quality of voice on the receiving end, but nobody I spoken to without the mic has said anything to me.

Another feature of the headphones are the ear cushions. They are soft, cushy, and feel cool to the touch when wearing. I have a larger head and these headphones are extremely comfortable. The adjustability of the headphones is easy and I even have an extra notch to make them larger if I wanted. So if you have a bigger head, these are perfect.

Lastly, and this is just a personal preference, I recommend getting purchasing Dolby Atmos surround sound. This only costs $15 and is a one-time purchase. At the very least, take advantage of the 30-day free trial to see for yourself. I doubted that I would would be able to tell any difference between Windows Sonic (xbox surround sound) and Dolby Atmos, but I truly feel like Dolby is a significant upgrade, especially for games like Call of Duty.

Overall, these headphones are absolutely fantastic. As long as you update the headphones, you cannot go wrong with these.

15yr old feedback - overwhelmingly positive
The review below still stands – the headset is very, very good. However we have had a mechanical fault (see picture). Have logged a call with Lucid support, hoping the support process goes well. Will come back and update when I’m through the other side.

Added – support was great, they requested some images of the faulty unit and serial number, then sent out a replacement unit. Very happy,

So only used these a couple of times myself – they were bought as a gift for my 15yr old son.
First things first – syncing with the Xbox was a breeze – just like hooking up a controller. We bought the Xbox Wireless Adaptor for Windows 10 (used some of my MS reward points so got it for free) – this made set up for Windows 10 also very, very easy.
My son is an avid gamer on both PC and Xbox – he’s tried these with Dolby Atmos for headset and DTS – the results for both got a very, very positive “thumbs up”. From a comfort perspective he’s giving these 10/10, its the holidays so he’s been wearing these for at least 6hrs a day since Christmas, so I’ll take his word for it.
The headset does not come with a stand which is a shame – we bought one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07X9S5C3C/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_dsBdEbB0CBH9E which is perfect match and only 9.99.

Brilliant wireless headset, at a decent price!
I bought these specifically for Xbox One, however if you plug the cable in then they will also work on PS4. Not only that, but if you find you run out of battery during a gaming session, you can just plug the cable into your controller until you get the chance to charge them again. The sound quality is really good, and the controls on the side of the headset are well placed and very easy to use – ignore the morons saying the buttons are confusing because they’re really not (there’s a button to mute sound & a dial for volume on left ear, and a button to mute your mic & dial for game/chat mixer on right ear).

I’ve edited the 2nd part of my review as after installing the firmware update it fixed the constant drop in connection due to being near a wifi modem. The problem with the firmware is that the instructions given by Lucid Sound to connect the headset to a PC are very vague and there are many people that struggle to connect; I even sent mine back for a replacement as I thought my headset was faulty. Once past that though they work brilliantly and even have a built in mic on top of one to plug in for even clearly quality (so I’ve been told by friends I’ve played with too).

    Almost perfect Xbox One headset!
I’ve been through many different types of headsets for my Xbox One X but never found any that I was comfortable with for long 4+ hour gaming sessions. The LucidSound LS35X was priced a little more than I wanted to pay but I bought it, and I’m glad I did.

The packaging is great with high quality materials and no superfluous extras. The headset comes with a lovely storage bag that is quite thick and has a very soft lining.

The first thing I did was update the firmware (you can Google search on how to do this) using a Windows PC (I’m not sure if you can use a Mac to update the firmware although the file I downloaded did have a Mac folder). The LucidSound website has an excellent support section with FAQs and videos that allow you to get the best out of this headset.

Pairing with my Xbox One X took less than a minute. The audio is fair I would say. It’s definitely not HiFi quality audio but is pleasant and not fatiguing to listen to games and chat for hours on end. The mic is good and the volume and chat-mix controls are easy to use once you learn which earpiece does what. The audio through the earpieces can be muted as can the mic (there’s an LED on the mic that lights up red when it has been muted. The volume levels can go quite loud and the mic is quite sensitive. The mic needs to be positioned carefully as it can pick up your breathing quite easily.

I knocked off one star in this review for the following: the headset is quite heavy (but still acceptable for long gaming sessions) and the earpieces get quite hot leaving my ears feeling hot and sweaty after several hours. However, it’s the best headset for Xbox One that I’ve used so far. Build quality is average so this headset will need to be treated carefully to avoid it breaking.

    Good upgrade from Turtle Beaches
Previously had the Turtle Beach stealth 600s, they were a good pair however they started to get a little shotty after 2 years of daily use. These are an excellent upgrade in ALMOST every way.
The sound is definitely a notch above, you do really feel immersed in whatever youre playing, especially with the volume cranked up.
Build quality is like night and day compared to the TB’s, these feel heavy duty, and dont feel like you could snap them in half by sitting on them. The “cooling gel” in the ear cups also seems to work well, i unfortunately dont have AC where my Xbox is set up, so it does get a little warm however i can imagine this not being an issue in slightly cooler areas.
Connection wise is the only thing that can be a headache, although to be fair it affects ALL Xbox headsets. Almost every time i start these up they do not connect first try, and i have to turn them off and turn them back on and then they connect immediately. I specifically chose wireless because i do alot of walking around in my smallish apartment wile watching youtube or netflix, and these do fit the bill however there is not a crazy amount of range, they can probably make it 25 feet unobstructed however put a wall up and you might have issues at 20 feet or less.

Overall i have these at 4 stars because they are good, however if the connectivity issues could be solved it would shoot to 5 stars for sure. Would absolutely recommend these as an upgrade to anything below this price point.

Sounds good, but after the firmware update, still cuts out.
They sound good and mic quality is good. The battery lasts as advertised and connect right away to the Xbox. When I was researching them, I saw they had cut out issues, but were supposed to be fixed with a firmware upgrade. I did the upgrade before even using them the first time, but after a few hours they start to lose connection.

The other problem is the light. I game on mute, and unmute if I need to say something. When you are on mute, the tip of the mic lights up red, which is useful, but I wish you could turn it off. If I’m in a public match and feel like I might have to say something every 10 minutes, it’s a pain to remove the mic and put it back in.

Good quality and sound, couple things to know though
Good quality over all and quite sturdy, has a couple plastic parts that I’m skeptical of as others in the range such as the ls20 are full metal construction on the bands and adjustment, great sound, mic quality and battery life is great, one charge lasts me for the week mostly, if you’re buying these purely for an xbox then they’re great but as they use the new Microsoft wireless standard will have to be wired to anything else like a phone or ps4, there are dongles to make them work wirelessly with pc also, not too heavy but can take a minute to get them comfortable for long sessions, there can be a few issues with other xboxs in close proximity as they can interfere with audio and cause drop outs but is easily fixed by taking the headset and controller to the limit of range and allowing them to reconnect on a quiet band. Would give 5 stars if they used a full metal band assembly like in some cheaper models but I’m fairly picky

Sound quality is outstanding on this headset and battery life is substantial. If you do get frequent sound drops then restarting the headset seems to help, along with turning off all other wireless devices – sound bars/phones/tv WiFi etc.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our Usersdid my research, great headse
Been using my Turtlebeach Stealth 500X for several years until my kids broke the pair. I did my research and finally settled on two headsets to bring home to demo. The LS35X and the Razer Thresher for xbox. I wanted a headset I could play games on Xbox and PC, as well as enjoy watching movies solo.

    Cons:
The only category that Thresher beat out the LS35X was the comfort department. I use to wear a medium sized football helmet, so my head is average. The Thresher felt like heavenly pillows around my ears and could hardly feel the headband. With the LS35X, I could feel the slight clamping pressure of the ear cups around my ears but wasn’t painful…but had concerns it would lead to fatigue after a long gaming session. I no longer have that concern, now that I’ve played with them for several hours nonstop with zero discomfort…..its just not ‘pillow heaven’ like the alternative.

    Pros:
    – The LS35X has better sound quality than the Thresher. The Thresher does sound good but has exaggerated bass and I lose immersion due to the unnatural sound of the exaggerated bass. The LS35X had a good balance of sound. Sadly neither of the headsets have adjustable EQ, but the LS35X doesn’t really need it. Both headsets have very adequate volume, which is what turtlebeach always lacked.

    – The build quality of the LS35X is second to none. It has metal framing on for the cups, the headband and I believe the swivel connections between the band and cups is metal. The Thresher only has metal headband with plastic connections to the cups….just like nearly any other headset. I can rest assured that I don’t have to worry about my kids breaking my LS35X. Also, the weight of the LS35X and the Thresher are nearly identical despite all the extra metal weight.

    – The mic monitoring on the LS35X is great after the firmware update. I got use to mic monitoring with the Stealth 500X and is now a ‘must have’ for my headsets. The Thresher technically has mic monitoring, but its pretty pathetic…requiring the mic to nearly down your throat to hear yourself.

With this direct connect configuration, its nice being able to directly sync to my xbox without any additional external modules. My PC does have the built in xbox wireless config but I don’t like having to go through the internal menus of windows to re-sync it every time I switch between gaming platforms. Therefore I bought a $25 xbox dongle, so i just need to push the sync button on the dongle and then the sync button on the headset…and be synced within seconds when switching between platforms seamlessly.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersAmazing quality - Miles above the Turtle Beach Stealth 600
When I bought my Xbox One X, I also got a pair of Turtle Beach Stealth 600 headphones. Although they sounded ok-ish, the build quality was really low as they were made out of cheap plastic and made squeaky noises whenever I moved the earcups, which drove me nuts since they were brand new.

Anyway, back to the LS35X, I was amazed at both the build quality and the surround sound. I’ve tried them wired(with my laptop and my phone), wireless(Xbox and laptop), with Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos for Headphones. No matter how you use them they sound fantastic, would definitely recommend these to anyone that doesn’t want to spend over 300 to get something like the Astro A50.

At last I have found a pair of headphones that are comfortable to wear. Maybe I have ears like Dumbo but I never can get over ear headphones that actually go over my ears, instead they become on ear headphones. These sit very comfortably over my ears and have very comfortable padding so I barely notice them and can wear them for many hours without discomfort. Not only are they comfortable but, unlike some gaming headsets, they actually sound good and are completely wireless too. Maybe a little more expensive than some other headsets but so far they definitely seem worth the extra money.

I paid 100 more for my last headset (turtle beach elite 800x) and I’ve got to say the sound on the lucid sound headset is far superior. Granted the turtle beach had a silly amount sound presets but I could never settle on one that I was 100% pleased with. The lucid sound headset doesn’t have any but the sound is excellent with anything I have tried with them! (Gaming, Netflix and Spotify) I also really like the mic monitoring which you can turn on and off, plus the monitoring turns up as you increase the game volume so you can always hear your own voice! On a final note the headset doesn’t come with any mention how to do the firmware update but is easy to with a quick Google and takes minutes to do

Klang groartig. Endlich keine Kabel oder Basisstationen mehr.
Leider wackelt der linke Balance-Dreher leicht und scheppert etwas beim Gehen und fr halbwegs erwachsene Kpfe knnte es relativ eng werden.

    Ansonsten klare Kaufempfehlung

Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersMake sure you update firmware!
When I first got this headset, my impressions were the sound quality and comfort and ease of use were great. Occasionally however, I had connectivity issues where all audio would cut out for a couple seconds at a time. It was very disappointing. I was considering returning them. BUT THEN I realized after a few weeks that a firmware update was available. It didn’t take long and was very easy, and it solved all of my connectivity issues and event boosted the mic monitoring (so you can hear yourself and don’t feel like your head is underwater) to a slightly louder volume.

My only remaining gripe is that it can be difficult to know when you’ve muted the chat audio. I use the right earcup wheel to adjust chat balance quite often. I primarily play battle royale games now, and so there are long periods of time where I want chat to be nice and loud so I can carry on a conversation. But towards the end of the game or after we get contact, I want to turn down the chat audio and turn the game audio up. But it’s not easy to tell when you’ve muted the rest of your team. It’d be nice if there was a detent in the wheel, or some sort of audible cue that let you know that chat is turned all the way down. Or if adjusting chat volume was more granular, that might solve it too.

Another minor gripe: it’d be nice if the battery lasted a hair longer, or at least did a better job of letting me know when it’s low. Sure I could charge it more often, but I prefer to only charge batteries when they get low instead of constantly plugging them in and out. I feel like only charging when necessary reduces wear and tear, but sometimes I’ve had the battery run out unexpectedly. The good thing is that you can plug the 3.5mm cable into your controller and that will power the headset. Or if you have USB nearby you can charge from there and keep playing. I haven’t tried using a portable USB battery, that might work…

All in all though, I have to give this headset 5 stars. My minor gripe aside, this is the best sounding, most comfortable, and easiest to use headset I’ve ever owned. I used to review headsets professionally and have used/owned dozens of sets, and this by far blows away Astro, Razer, and Turtle Beach products I’ve used (I’ve attached a pic of my collection from back in my reviewing days). The audio quality feels like it’s on par with Sennheiser sets such as the PC350 (though obviously, the LS35X is designed to work with Xbox One and the Sennheiser products aren’t).

Definitely recommend buying, just make sure you update the firmware as soon as you can.

    Must buy. Amazing.
I’m an owner of the LS20s and love them, the only reason I got these was because I was fed up with the cable to the controller. No worries anymore.

Easy set up and easy to update(via pc, laptop or netbook with usb).
Sound is amazing but can be made even better with Dolby Atmos which is a must have for anyone on Xbox. If you don’t want to shell out for DA(was 15 when I bought it but is now/was on sale) then these will work with the windows sonic setting too.

Battery life good and they are very comfortable. I game/watch movies or TV shows in these for hours.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersNot perfect, but close - strongly recommend for Xbox owners
The LS35X has received some flack since launch, and rightly so for the reported connectivity issues. But LucidSound has been swift to act with a firmware update. I updated my unit out of the box and haven’t experienced a single issue. It is also worth noting my Wi-Fi setup at home is heavily congested. So onto the headset itself, build quality is superb. Not the lightest of headsets but the weight is distributed evenly and the metallic materials do give it a premium feel. The ear cushions are soft and good quality, my only slight issue is the headband – which I feel is insufficiently padded. For extended play the headband can eventually begin to weigh down, which when compared to suspension headbands I’ve used previously, whilst not a major flaw, it’s not on a par for comfort. I do really like the memory foam, coolant gel infused ear cushions however, which compensate to a degree.

Setup is straightforward – which includes the firmware update, though a PC/laptop will be required. Audio is fantastic, which is well-balanced, has deep bass and excellent clarity. In a different league to the Razer Thresher for instance, and have a cleaner sound signature than the Astro A50 Gen 3s. Only the Arctis Pro Wireless trump this headset (slightly) for clarity, but those have weak bass.

They are very loud too. As an Xbox owner I can’t find fault with the streamlined, ease of use and flawless performance. If you expect a host of features then you may be disappointed. You could say it’s bare bones in that department, reflected by what you get in the box: headset, soft case, USB charge cable (short), 3.5mm cable, detachable mic. There is only one signature sound and the buttons on the headset are minimilastic. But what a sound, why have options to pointless EQ settings like superhuman hearing or bass boost when the standard EQ is so impressive.

For Xbox owners, there’s a lot to like, though it’s not without a few niggles. It isn’t perfect then, but then which gaming headset is? None are in my experience!
Other platform users may be better advised waiting for the LS41 since the seamless functionality with Xbox is one of its main features.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersTolles Headset mit einem Makel: Kein Bluetooth

(Grund fr Rcksendung)

I also got mine from Amazon.com because it was available sooner & slightly cheaper, Delivered Oct 26, 2018 I’m using them daily & have no issues after first update, Playing games like Battlefield V with fighters flying all around show how good these are for direction sound! (Previous Headset Turtle Beach x800) If I had to find fault I would say I’m not a big fan of the bendy mic arm but its functional & easily replaced if it becomes faulty. Very comfortable with NO wires anywhere, just perfect!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersAfter all the delays I finally got the LS35x from Lucidsound. Almost didn't after reading the reviews on here. I've gotten about 40hrs playing time thus far and am thoroughly impressed with them. Setup was super easy as it took all of 10 seconds. Took me longer to open the box and get everything out of the travel pouch. Headset looks and feels premium quality as compared to the all plastic Turtle Beach Stealth 600 and 700 models. They appear to be very durable eith the metal band construction yet are very comfortable for long playing sessions. The only thing I'm not feeling is the cooling gel earpads . I swear they felt cool the first time I put the headset on but not afterwards at any point. Still they are very comfy and didn't bother me no matter how much I played. The overall sound quality is very good despite only having 1 default sound setting. Some may want more options but I will take one real good one over multiple crappy ones anyday. Also this headset gets very loud which is welcome considering that is a major complaint with the Stealth 600 and 700 headsets. Microphone quality is also very good for a wireless headset. Friends say I come across crystal clear while in chat. Battery life is right around 20hrs as I have charged mine once so far though its own now but I am on about 40hrs. Also the connection issue alot of users are having is.t present in my headset. I know Lucidsound has a firmware update available now on their website but I dont seem to need it. I called them to find out and it seems all newer produced models are already updated with the most up to date firmware available. Great complexity wireless headset option.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersFinally wireless with Xbox, firmware update is a mus
TL;DR, this is a great headset for the Xbox one, completely wireless, and nearly flawless with the latest firmware.

Let me start by saying that I’ve a had a few other headsets in my quest to go wireless on the Xbox One. The Stealth 700 was the first to offer that but it had so many issues I returned them to the store. The latest Astro A50 was the only other option I considered but I was turned off by the chunky base station and $300 price tag. My friend told me to check out Lucid Sound and I saw this new wireless option for Xbox One.

Setup was super simple, I just pressed the pairing button on the headset and the pairing button on the Xbox and they were connected. I played several hours of BO:4 and Fortnight and everyone said I was super clear in party. I though the mic monitoring wasn’t working so I jumped online and found that there’s a firmware update. Once I applied that the mic monitoring was much better and I haven’t had any wireless or audio issues. They sound amazing with Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos. I could easily hear footsteps and where other players were. I played a lot yesterday and into the night and the battery is still showing a full charge. The box says I should get 15 hours or so.

    Pros:

    – Just as easy to setup as a wireless controller
    – Super comfortable and the gel cooled earpads feel so nice
    – Good wireless range and I don’t have to carry my controller around when I’m in a party chat
    – Clear mic with mute indicator
    – Battery level appears on Xbox
    – Volume and mute controls are easy to use
    – Works with my phone and sounds great
    – Look good enough to wear out of the house

    Cons:

    – Mic monitoring was low (before firmware update, now it’s fine)
    – Game/chat balance control takes some getting used to
    – Have to use cable to use with phone (no bluetooth)

Overall, given that it’s about half the cost of the Astros, super comfortable, sound great, and work seamlessly with my Xbox I’m super excited about these.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersGreat wireless headset after firmware update
I was originally going to rate this product much lower because of constant audio drop outs but they recently released a firmware update which fixes the issue.

Having been an owner of both Astro and Turtle Beach headsets, this product is one of the most comfortable headsets I’ve owned. The build quality is great and feels good to wear. The game and chat mixers on the sides of the headset takes some time getting used to but they work great and I prefer them over the external mixer other headsets use.

The audio quality is excellent, especially when using Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos. I’ve asked friends how the microphone sounds and they say it’s clear with no background noise. The microphone is removable and has a red LED indicator on the end to show when it’s muted.

The battery on these is great as I’ve yet to have them die when using. The included micro usb charging cable is pretty short so if you need a longer cable be aware of that.

The main downside to this headset is the lack of bluetooth but other than that this is a great product.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersSo I want to start out by saying that the design and build quality of this headset are amazing. The controls are intuitive, the headset is comfortable and feels durable. I was very excited to receive the headset and try it out. I was then very disappointed when I discovered the wireless interference problems that cause the audio to cut out. For me, this problem rendered this headset unusable. I would be trying to play Black Ops 4 Blackout and the audio would constantly cut out at the worst times. I tried all of the tips to improve the headset's performance and the only thing that somewhat worked was physically moving closer to the Xbox. I read about LucidSound developing a firmware update to fix the problem so I decided I was going to wait it out. I emailed customer service for an ETA of the firmware update and to my surprise they sent me a beta version of it. After 2 nights of gaming I can say the beta completely fixed the audio cut outs. I was very happy with the company's customer service. The release of the firmware update should be out soon. I would advise to wait it out. This headset is worth it.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI’ve had two separate turtle beach headsets that were wireless one being the 420x stealth and the 700x stealth. This headset in comparison to those two makes turtle beach look subpar in my opinion. From the overall design of the headset to the materials used makes it feel quality and like you’re getting your money’s worth for the headset. The 420x stealth had some cool features with the different eq settings and the fact that it would get louder than the 700x but it was terribly uncomfortable after awhile. Not only was the 700x terribly uncomfortable as well but when the volume was turned all the way up on the headset I still couldn’t hear a thing it was so quiet and the plastic on both makes them feel very cheap in comparison. Now, the ls35x on the other hand is an outstanding headset for Xbox one. First things first is the sound, very crisp tones on the entire spectrum. After playing red dead redemption 2 with them and many other games that require and offer amazing sounds the headset does very well in from telling where shots are coming from to just walking through the woods in the game and listening to so many different sounds at once but can distinctly tell which one is which. The mic sounds good according to friends that I play with and also if you don’t feel like having the mic in front of you, you can remove it and the secondary mic will work in party chat and game chat. The comfortability of the headset is probably what made me happiest about it. In comparison to my other headsets these are the most comfortable with the cooling gel ear pads on the outside and the memory foam on the inside of the pads they sit flush on your head and I often forget I’m wearing them. Just adjust them to your head properly (which will probably be a lot higher in the adjustment than you think) and they will sit perfect. I’ve had many gaming sessions recently with all the new games that have came out and they haven’t bothered me once with almost 6 hours of wearing them and honestly could wear them even longer they’re that comfortable. Lucidsound did a very good job with this headset.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersPlagued by audio drops [edited!]
Edited 12/5: I returned the original pair I had when they launched only to be doomed by constant audio drops from my Xbox One X. When they did a flash sale on their site I went ahead and repurchased them as I had read their new firmware fixed the issues I was having. Low and behold — they work like a dream now! Love these headphones top to bottom. Only thing keeping it from a 5/5 is having a more inventive charging solution such as a dock of some sort!

This product is amazing! Great look, functionality, sound quality, comfort… but unfortunately connectivity issues render the item useless. I played many hours suffering through audio drops of about two seconds in length at about an average of every 10-15 seconds. Sometimes go several minutes with no drop, but it always returned. For a $200 pair of headphones, that simply will not do. I’m sad to say I will be returning these after waiting over a year for their release. 🙁

Pros: Rich, deep, full sounding headset with extremely high build quality (what I would expect from a $180 headset). Mic quality is excellent. Very comfortable, so the weight isn’t noticeable. Pairs easily with the xbox. I really enjoy the fact that I can independently mute the boom mic and the entire headset.

Cons: Mic monitoring is too quiet. General volume and chat mix can be controlled, but I would have preferred independently controlled chat volume as opposed to chat mix at this price point. My launch version required a firmware update to fix audio dropout issues.

I would recommend the ls35x over several other wireless xbox one headsets. I’ve tried the Rig 800lx, the Turtle Beach Stealth 600, and the Hyper X CloudX, and the 35x has the best sound.

    (Updated March 2020)

I’ve owned these since launch. The audio quality is superb, it can reach higher volumes than other well-known brands, and chat quality is great when using the boom-mic or the internal mic. Audio controls are still a bit inconvenient and mic monitoring is on the quieter side. Overall, it’s a great headset.

You might run into issues if you use it near a router, though. When I do, I’ll hear cracking noises and cut-outs due to the interference. I used these about 3 feet from a mesh Orbi router and the interference was unbearable. After moving the router, there was no more interference. Just a tip if you experience this!

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersWont power on anymore
EDIT (rated 5* now) – If your LS35X headset is unresponsive and can’t be turned off, on, or charged, hold down the following three buttons at the same time to reboot it: Mic Mute, Game Mute, and pairing. The headset should power off. You can then power the headset on normally.

Waited almost a year for this headset…

Connected these to my xbox instantly, and started playing Destiny 2…they sounded amazing. Played for a few hours and went to the bathroom with them on to test the range. They cut out a little and then audio stopped. I came back to my xbox and noticed they powered off. Tried to power back on but no response. Tried charging for a bit (the power indicator light is supposed to pulse when charging) and still no response. Let them charge for 30min, still nothing…

Ill let them charge for a couple hours but i assume the internal battery died…very disappointed.

Ill edit if they manage to start working again but as of right now they are too new to find similar responses online and the company phone number provided says they are closed…assuming it’s because it’s the weekend.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersIt's tougher than I would like finding that perfect balance between game audio and chat. It's simple to do, but it feels like you can turn the dials alot before you notice a change and peoples voices be loud af in your ear. You adjust the game volume and now you can barely hear people. I found a good mix, but it took some playing with. I love that i feel totally immersed in games now because the audio is louder than my last headset. Windows Sonic really shines in game allowing you to pinpoint exactly what direction sound is coming from. Played Destiny and PUBG. PUBG made a big difference. Mic monitoring isn't really great, the mic has to be really close to you mouse and you barely hear yourself. I did randomly loose sync for a couple second about 2-3 times within about 5 hours of use. I also totally lost connect when i went into the kitchen with them on (NY apartment so I didn't go far) and had to power the off and on real quick to reestablish the connection. Overall I really love them and do not regret my purchase one bit. Oh, and battery is still going strong after 5 hours and i never charged them out of the box.

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersAudio quality issues, audio cuts out.
EDIT: after performing a brand new Xbox One update, the problem seems to have disappeared. Will adjust my review accordingly from 3 to 5 stars.

So far there are pros and cons.

    Cons:

The dials on the ear pieces to adjust volume and game/chat volume mix are quite noisy, the plastic of the dial grinds on the plastic of the ear piece, so that’s kind of annoying. Aluminum would’ve been much smoother and at $180, I guess they felt they needed to spare expensive where they could.

But the most annoying thing so far is that after using them paired to my One X for about 2 hours, I tooo a break and turned everything off. Came back to get back into my game and suddenly the audio started cutting in and out for about 2-3 seconds at a time. Complete loss of audio intermittently plus what sounds like clipping (quick static) occasionally as well. These headphones were amazing up into this point and now I am frustrated trying to figure out how to fix this problem. I do have Dolby Atmos enabled, so I will go to windows sonic for a bit here and see if that makes a difference. It will not change my opinion about the headset either way.

    Pros:

Comfortable. Well built. Easy to pair.

    Summary:

The hardest part about writing this poor review is that these cans were delayed for SO long and even after all the delays they still haven’t produced a strong product.

Golden Review Award: 43 From Our UsersWorth the wait!
Day 1 review: After preordering them in Feb they just arrived. I will continue to update this review as time goes. I play video games more than I’d like to admit, so this will be an honest review. I bought these because turtle beach has got the last dollar from me after countless “flagship” headphones broke on me, either mechanical or something to do with sound.

    First impression:
1: feel very sturdy, pivot point is strong feeling
2: extremely comfortable, made for adult heads, they’re not overly tight or snug around the ears like other headsets.
3: THE SOUND WHOA! I connected them and enabled the Dolby atmos for headphones and holy….
4: the pairing and connectivity is awesome. I’m so glad it’s been incorporated into a headset. It’s as promised, hit the pair button on the Xbox and on the headset and boom, you’re rocking.
5: Mute fucntion is awesome, the mic has a red light that lets you know that it is muted. Simple press of the left ear toggles on/off.

I’ve had them for 30 mins so I will continue to update this. First impression though, I’m extremely satisfied.
