Your Philips garment steamer has been designed to be used with tap water. If you live in an area with hard water, fast scale build-up may occur. To prolong the lifespan of your steamer it is recommended to use distilled or demineralised water.
Should my Philips garment steamer’s tank be emptied after use?
We recommend that you empty your garment steamer’s water tank after using it. This will help prevent the formation of calcification and algae.

Love this overall but water tank runs out quickly, although I understand it’s difficult on a hand held to make it any bigger.
Amazing iron, steam fast and never get the clothes burn, loving this steam iron.
One of the minus thing is the water tank quite small, can only last for 1 dress or 1 shirt. But overall it’s very good.
Works just like the cheap ones. Too expensive for it’s quality. Too heavy for travelling. Easy to use.

This is a really good tool for someone who is bored of ironing. It doesn’t get out really huge creases but tackles everything else with ease and makes some of my really difficult to iron clothes ready to wear in minutes! So much easier- I am glad I bought this and will be using it a lot and packing it for when I eventually go on holiday again!
I’ve been wanting one of these for ages (mainly because I hate ironing) and thought it would be a really good alternative. I do really like it and it certainly gets all the creases and wrinkles out. I just hoped the water tank was a little bigger, it uses a whole tank just for one item so if you have more than one item that needs steaming you have to keep topping up which is a bit annoying but I love it anyway.
Good vertical steamer. Bought for my wife, when she has to steam a shirt and is in hurry. Is working fine, doing the job we bought it for. In 2, 3 minutes the shirt look nice. Good product.

Other than this, everything else indicates this is indeed a brand new product.
It is quite handy and does the job. The only drawback is that the water tank is small and it only steams 2 shirts per tank; or 1 shirt if you steam very throughly.
This is indeed a very good and useful product and I believe it deserves a 5 star rating.
This does a lovely job of steaming garments, however the water tank is extremely small so be aware of what you will use this for. I found I was constantly refilling the tank. Of course the product description makes it clear how big the water tank is but as a novice I had no idea of how long it would take to use up the water. I now know ~ not long!

I am very pleased with this hand steamer. It heats up quickly and does what it says on the tin. Only one small criticism is that the water doesn’t last very long so have a jug on hand to keep it topped up!

Only bought this as I had amazon voucher as I never believed that this would work and was curious if it would make my life easier BUT! Definitely worth buying and the price, my family doesn’t enjoy ironing and this is just amazing little helper : ) The only thing I would advise is to put your garment against the hard surface/ on the bed.

Really fun to use and does a great job! A shirt sized garment should take around 3-5 minutes! Only problem is the water reservoir is quite small so will need frequent refilling after 2 or 3 medium sized garments.
Good sized head for steaming. Works very well on clothes and uphostery – only issue I found was needing torefill the water reservoir relatively frequently. But definitely recommend it.
It’s too heavy by far to travel with. The water tanks quite small so takes a lot of refilling but it does, at least, heat up again quickly. Sleek design. Not as effective at getting out creases as you’d like or expect. I was only doing thin voile curtains and it took forever and didn’t get all the creases out .
I used to hate ironing until I tried this same model during a stay at a hotel and fell in love with how convenient it was to use on the go.
The water tank will last for 2 garments at a time, but it’s very easy to refill it and keep using it if needed. I use it to iron what am going to wear the next day. It is also great to freshen up day-old clothes.
The heated plate can also be used to apply direct heat (I used it to attach fusible bonding tape to a garment that needed repair. It worked perfectly).
I bought my steamer from amazon warehouse. The product was classed as Used – Like new and came in perfect condition.

Easy to use, does its job well. Not for an (even small) pile of laundry – you can only do 1-3 things quickly before you go out, which is exactly what I need it for.

This is amazing. Purchased for family member who is uses a wheelchair so finds it difficult to manoeuvre and set up an ironing board. They find this so easy to use. It works really well, very impressed.

As described. The water tank is relatively small, for 1 or 2 garment, so need to steam out the remaining water. Stylish design.
I love this item, my only slight problem you have to keep topping up the water tank. I gave five star’s because other than that i think it is worth the money. I would recommend this item.

Dont waste your money as its pretty useless. When it produces steam which isnt often its quite effective but mostly it doesnt just makes a steam noise but no steam . Pretty useless Tbh!!

Excellent easy to use handy when on the go removes bacteria and odour smell from draws on clothes. Give your clothes a few minutes to dry off before putting on as steam makes them slightly damp but dried fairly quickly
I love this device. It is next level to every day ironing for office clothing.
It did took me some time to get used to using it so be patient and make sure you use the protection glove. Once you master it you good to go. You will see how well your clothes are maintained. Enjoy

This item is not designed to replace an iron and by no means would be suitable to service each item from the wash. Ideal for those shirts creased from the wardrobe or an item that just needs a quick going over. Use it mostly everyday, very easy to use! One small criticism would be that the plate is hard to clean and if you don’t if could spit out some crap on your item.

Very pleased with my hand held steamer by Philips it does a great job to get rid of those creases that have appeared while in storage. Highly recommend this product it is not in place of an iron. I love it and have used it a lot well worth the money for use use in a caravan or hotel while on holiday to pack away in your case so your clothes always look smart.

Amazing, we eloped and needed a way to get the small crease out of the wedding dress.
It works perfectly so much so that in 3 months since we have only used the real iron twice. This is now used daily to refresh uniforms.
Bought as a gift for my Mum, so if she can use it it must be easy. She seems very pleased with it so far.
Bought this to thaw on holiday and my mams wedding next year, lightweight but a bit bulky but it really does sort out creased tops and trousers quickly. Saves having to use dodgy hotel irons

Personally i probably wouldn’t take this travelling as it a substantial size, although you could it’s definitely not massive.
Does have a small water tank on it so depending on how much attention your garment needs 2-3 refills will be required. I find this isn’t a problem.

Love this – I keep it my walk-in-wardrobe and it’s really handy for getting creases out of my clothes before wearing or after washing instead of getting the ironing board out. Also good for getting the creases out of bedding when it’s on the bed.

It’s a great steamer, perfect for travelling, not as small and light as some travel steamers but definitely more reliable with it being a decent brand. I do find when steaming larger items like blazers, coats or even items which are heavily creased the water reservoir runs empty pretty quickly and will need frequently re-filling.
Works really well removing creases in all kinds of material. Good for clothes, curtains, blinds etc. Great product.
I bought 3 of these items. Thought I was taking s risk as I’d never used one before. But as I wanted to treat my daughter who was going on a separate holiday to me, I risked it.

Excellent solution for those who do not like ironing and are looking for a quick option for a morning rush! We can’t imagine our daily routines without this stream. There is only one area for an improvement which is a better solution needed for a water tank whish is a bit too loose and can slide off easily.

This is a fabulous product, great for steaming my husbands Golf shirts, the handheld device is easy to use, and does a really good job. What lets it down is the amount of water the tank holds. From one fill I manage to do one shirt and the collar of the next, but then have to re-fill… and with that re-fill comes having to wait for the device to get going again. This is a real shame, but again the product is good, Philips …. why is the water tank so small?
Liked this steamer on the whole water compartment could do with being bigger an will fall out from time to time but does enough for a quick steam when taking things out of the wardrobe to get rid of odd crease

It’s been a delight using this, as it now makes it easy to iron delicates and large items hanging.
Saw this advertised and bought … really is great, straightens out clothing in seconds.. no hassle of having to get out the iron and board…unless you have a lot to iron..
The steamer itself is attractive and distinctive in its black and gold, albeit slightly heavy to handle, and not that light to toss into your bag when you go away. You fill a water reservoir that slides on to the handle, which is easy to do, but you have to refill frequently if you are doing more than one garment. Also, the cap on the reservoir does not seem to seal as well as when I first got it, which is slightly worrying when you are handling water and electricity… 🙁
I have used it several times on clothes with pretty good results, although sometimes it can be awkward to hold the steamer and pull the garment to straighten it. I have, however, had great results on curtains that are hanging on their track. I did need to refill the water a lot but it was worth it for the result.
I had never seen anything like this before I bought it but have since seen slightly smaller, lighter garment steamer at a much lower price in one of those supermarkets where you go in for potatoes and come out with a chainsaw from the middle aisle. I wonder whether one of those would have been just as effective at less than a third of the price, although they aren’t as good-looking.
I do think this is a good solution to banishing creases, but think perhaps it’s early days with the design and price and later models will be an improvement on this. I welcome the innovation of a steamer like this but I would give 3.5 stars as it is almost there but not quite.
