Amazing keyboard for the price! Only tiny issue is that I don't like the macro keys on the left side.

Practically This review is after 9 months that I bought this keyboard. I’m going to be a frankly with you, this is one of the most beautiful keyboard that I’ve tested , I’m not consider a specialist in keyboards , I like the sound that it produces when I’m writing something, the wireless worked perfectly the first months but suddenly it didn’t work, now I’m using only with its cable, another thing that I don’t like it’s key brightness. I don’t know but that stopped working the brightness in one-key then in another the color changed completely. I paid 70 dollars for this I don’t expect to much, I’m going to continue using it until it breaks completely. Now that you know all this, probably you get better idea several months later.

    Redragon always Delivers 👌
I used about every brand, Corsair is my favorite hands down but Redragon delivers something they don’t and that’s Product to Money ratio you get everything with this keyboard with out breaking the bank

I can tell you now, that I use the keyboard for a month and I use it both wirelessly and Connected ( playing FPS connected / casually Wireless) input is seamlessly. Materials are really good battery last a few days of use. All macro keys and shortcuts are A+. Then having that volume nob is the best thing eve

The battery life is great. The key feels comfortable. Extra game key can be reprogrammed and very handy. Only thing I don't like very much is the g6--g10 keys are different. Not as comfortable as others.

    Response time is a rollercoaster.
Times this keyboard works well, and fully functional wireless but probably a few times every hour the keyboard response is either slow, very slow, or none responsive all together. This seems to happen randomly and last from a few seconds to a few minutes. I am able to use this keyboard to do quick stuff but gaming with this keyboard is impossible. I’ll add a star for the high light pattern options and the feel of the keyboard.

Update: received a new one, extra points for good service. New one is responsive, doesn’t seem to drop out often. Only issue is the range feels pretty short, but other than that. I’m on board with this keyboard

    Good single purpose keyboard
This was purchased several months ago. There are pros and cons like any other product, but the cons aren’t what you’d think.

    Pros:

This keyboard does everything you’d want it to do and then some. The version I got was with the Outemu red switches. They’re light yet loud. If you want to try your hand at hot swapping or modding your keyboard, this isn’t necessarily the worst place to start. I’d advise anyone with modding in mind to really go the less expensive route with a Redragon Kumara with the hot swappable switches.

The additional programmable keys (G1- G10) are great for those who need macros of any kind for gaming or any other productivity oriented tasks. Through the software (which isn’t always easy to find but a lil searching will bring you to the download page) you can program not only the macros, but the lighting assignments. The latter has a ton of them, but I normally just stick to one color so I can’t comment on this feature much. Best thing is the wireless feature. 2.4Ghz connectivity is very helpful. The battery is pretty long lasting and I never had any connectivity issues.

    Cons:

If you want to mod this keyboard, you’d be doing yourself no favors. Although the box will come with both a keycap and key switch tool, using them will murder your fingers. Especially the key switch tool.

Which brings me to the switches themselves. I bought some Outemu Black switches to replace the reds because I prefer a stiffer key switch. Taking out the original switches with the provided tool caused the majority of the switches to get damaged. Not to mention the inordinate amount of force required to remove the switch from the plate helped the tool cut into my fingers. I had to stop several times and break out a pair of work gloves just to get past removing the switches.

Despite the switch episode, this board doesn’t really allow for some good modding anyhow. I’m not saying it can’t be done, but the fact that the keyboard is more specialized (ala Corsair K95 or Logitech G610) the mods wouldn’t make much sense. It’s an ok keyboard that you can mess with, but it really aint worth the effort. Get it for straight up gaming esthetic purposes and leave it at that.

    Decent keyboard for price
The keyboard is nice, has a good heft to it with a very big legible shine through font. Keycaps are thin but good. Love the volume wheel. Top media/macro buttons arent very stylish just kinda big and clunky but I’m glad to have them.

My keyboard came with a loose magnet (the ones that hold the palm rest) and the plastic around the magnet was slightly warped. The software is meh, be aware that while software is running I saw CPU utilization go up around 20%. Very sus… Id say program your macros and uninstall.

The only real negative I’d say is the led whine… At full brightness in a silent room its unbearable. Turn up some music and youll be fine, or dont use RGB…(This issue might just be my unit)

This is my first mech keyboard and I didnt want to break the bank. So for around 50 dollars Id say its decent.

I love this brand this is my 3rd Redragon product I own. Good priced gaming hardware with high-end performance and feel. I just wish I could've bought this with brown switches I dont like the red switches it came with they're just to mushy for me. so I installed brown switches and G.Skill keycaps.

    Very nice
Keyboard works perfectly. Migrated from a mac to PC for the first time in 10 years and couldn’t ask for a more comfortable and seamless transition with this keyboard.

The macro functions are stellar and the sound wheel is super intuitive. Customizable LED’s are an nice bonus!

Great value for money. A little heavy, but other than that, this keyboard is very great. The rgb is nice and bright, and you can can change the settings without the software with using Fn + Ins, Home, PgUp, Del, End, PgDn keys. If anyone is wondering, you can use this on Xbox and Playstation Wirelessly and Wired, and the rgb still works while connected to the consoles. Would definetely reccomend.

Decent mechanical keyboard but beware: software will NOT work in wireless mode!
    The good:
    – it’s cheap
    – it has mechanical switches
    – it has RGB
    – it has a volume wheel rather than buttons
    – it has many macro keys
    – it comes with a wrist rest that snaps on magnetically
    – it can be used in wired and wireless mode

    The bad:
    – the keys don’t feel quite right – they make a twang sound with each key press and don’t quite push down as smoothly as cherry keys which cramps my writing speed
    – not all keys are lit – the top row macro keys are unlit for example
    – this is a US keyboard layout which takes some getting used to
    – the wrist rest is hard plastic – after a while the texture of the wrist rest will imprint on your hand and stops feeling that comfy
    – BIGGEST GRIEVANCE OF ALL: THE SOFTWARE DOES NOT WORK IN WIRELESS MODE! Macro keys stop working! There’s no on-board memory either so without the software, the keyboard cannot use the Macro keys.

The k596 feels like a racist joke in the aspect that it’s either hit or miss. While typing on the board sometimes it’ll feel like garbage and the other time it’ll feel great. Coming from blue switches (redragon k552) it felt somewhat mushy if I was typing really slowly and if I was paying attention. The sound is generally always good. Using the software to assign macros and color is very understandable after about 10 seconds of looking at it. The final thing I’ll talk about is the wrist rest. I thought the keyboard looked really good with the rest but when I tried using it, it felt pretty odd since it changed the way my hand was positioned. After about 0.5-2hours it felt way better than it had before using it and felt intuitive. Over all 7/10, only missing 3 just because of the switch type, which is a personal thing and can be switched pretty easily because it is hot swappable.

    Great product and customer service
This keyboard is sturdy and has a great key feel (if that is a term? ). It took a little time to get used to it, but now it feels natural and the keys are an extension on my fingers. I just had to go back to the office and use socially distanced workspaces with standard keyboards. I almost died trying to use the one there. I brought a backpack the next day so I could use this instead. Coworkers were jealous. Some may not have liked how clicky I was, but at least you could tell I was really working. The key switches can be changed out if that is not your preference. The give you a box of samples for each switch color so you can try out what you like.

I am only a light gamer, so I haven’t tried the macro keys yet. Normal gameplay is good. The RGB is very vibrant and it is easy to change to several different patterns to find one that is suitable.

I had a problem getting the wireless to work, and contacted customer service. They were vey quick to respond, super friendly, and got a replacement out to me right away.

I am happy to make the change to mechanical keyboard after using cheap old keyboards. Lighting is good, some buttons lighting is not customizable but I dont really need them to be, I only need to be able to see them on the dark. Feel is overall good, I do feel they make a little more sound than expected but not overall annoying. Good thing is switches can be exchanged as well as keycaps, it even includes a switch testing set to see if you would like another color of switches better. Volume knob is really useful and I enjoy using the wrist rest it includes. It being a Hybrid keyboard that can be used wireless and wired for this pricepoint is pretty good and do not regret the purchase at all.

great for gaming with some minor setbacks . overall 9/10
    pros
    – solid for gaming
    – quality materials used , its a lil heavy but I like this
    – rgb is amazing and you don’t need the software to adjust colors /modes
    – mechanical keys feel great
    – usb c charging
    – battery life is actually not too bad , lasted a week and I work a 40 hour job with gaming sessions after work

    cons
    – rgb shuts off after 3 or so seconds to conserve battery which is great however using at night is not so great when u cant see the keys, this is easily mitigated by pressing the arrow to switch the lights on but wish I could have them stay on longer, maybe the software could adjust this
    – I didn’t realize how much I miss the number pad being on the right, wish they would have added it for such a expensive keyboard
    – macro keys on the left , adding them to the top would have been better, I find myself accidentally pressing them sometimes

overall 9/10 would highly recommend if the cons don’t bothe

    Customer service is outstanding
I bought the Keyboard/Mouse combo from Redragon. Not going to lie, my expectations were set pretty low because their prices were to good to believe! Well I am in disbelief on how well this combo works and how well built it is for the money. I had some issues with the keyboard (not actually plugging it in to the computer to be able to access the settings). I got an email from customer service within a day or two. They even responded the next day asking if their help worked. Seems like they actually give a care about customers. The keyboard is very clicky and the lights are bright. I am happy as can be with my purchase.

    Thanks again Redragon customer service!

The keyboard comes with many features like led RGB with many modes that you can choose. The scroll for the volume or brightness and the macro keys are quite a lot to spare. The depth of each key is acceptable, and the signal from wireless mode is a plus point. They did not tell you that if you want to customize the RGB or input the macro keys, you have to download it from the Redragon website, and the app only recognizes your keyboard in a WIRED mode, not in wireless mode. Also, the receiver must put in the transfer port, not the USB A mode; otherwise, lagging will appear. Last but not least, the keyboard is somehow attracted to dust even when you use a wet wipe to clean it every day.
