Fab underwater camera!
Bought this for my holiday as an experiment. I wanted a cheaper ‘version’ to play with when out and about on my paddleboard or snorkling. Well first day I dipped it in the water in the wrong case. Fortunately I realised and got it out quick but it was soaked in sea water. But to my amazement after one day in rice and another out in the sun it dried out and worked. Super easy and fun to use.
Value for money
Easy to use and value for money. Lots of accessories and spares for the price also. The video quality looks good enough for the basic action shot we would.use it for. I am sure there maybe higher quality makes for similar products but not sure the action filming would need much better quality.
Great Quality action cam
This little camera is well made came with a waterproof case various attachments 2 batteries and charger it is easy to set up with the app and gives great quality videos and pictures at a fraction of the price of a go pro you can’t really go wrong very impressed for me it’s a 5star!
Nice little camera
Nice little camera does the job great and does fit on my honda cbf 125 with the waterproof case youtube helped with the attachments, i will say the wifi on the camera is slow when trying to watch a video back not sure if everyone else has this problem but still works great for the price over all happy
I got this camera to record some trail cycling. I am very happy with the results. The camera came with a lot of mounting gear, so I was able to mount it on my helmet without buying anything extra. The quality of the video is decent. Battery life is about an hour on 4K and the camera came with two batteries and a charger. All in all, I am satisfied from this purchase of what is a very budget friendly camera. Note that you have to purchase an SD camera separately.
Akaso Review
Seems to work ok. Haven’t used the latest and greatest GoPro to compare it to but for less than 50 I have no complaints.
Minor annoyance is that the battery cover is a little tricky to unclip.
Great action cam
Great alternative to the most expensive brand. Lots of features to customise and loads of mountain options. Can’t wait to get out there and use it to its full potential.
Great picture, good value
I bought this for a special flight in a spitfire and wanted something to record the experience whilst flying.
The camera was very easy to use & the video was really good considering the price (compared to other well known action cameras).
Certainly recommend this.
Fun little camera
We’ve used it on our holidays and worked great, in and out of water.
The app is also fairly simple and helps share pictures quickly.
Mounts perfectly on our masks, and planning to test it out as a portable dash cam for our car soon.
Akaso EK700
Brought two of these for my boys to document their Indonesian trip. It’s been very good for recording the holiday, providing memories for years to come. We all surf, we found it lacking for surf footage but jungles and elephant rides it works just fine

Really good camera if you don’t want to spend loads on a GoPro. Bought it to make and save memories for my holiday. I like that it comes with extra batteries. Love it.

At first I was a little overwhelmed by how many accessories came with this item you can literal mount your camera to anything. Great little product look forward to using more in the future.
Great produc
I was pleasantly surprised by this product. Because it’s much cheaper than a GoPro, I thought the quality would be sacrificed. But I get clear footage and good sound quality. If anything, probably the battery life isn’t as good as the more expensive cameras.
I use it for blogging and creating video courses. I’ve separately bought a pack of attachments that fit well and give lots of options.
Good for a cheap first action cam
The camera is simple to use. The quality is good and comes with loads of attachments.
There is no stabilisation but I use devichi resolve for editing which I can stabilise my footage, that’s a free professional program. This fixes that issue.
I good video camera but not the best for photos.
Can’t complain much for that price.
Informed review 2 years after purchase:
+ 4K videos are comparable to those of more popular action camera brands
+ Decent photo and videos even under water
+ Time Lapse feature is a nice plus
– Need to remember to set Continuous Lapse in the settings, or the Time Lapse feature will not be very useful
– Video recording does drain the battery quite fast, it would last about 1.5 hours (even though the camera comes with 2 batteries so you could go for up to 3 hours of continuous operation)
Overall: It takes a bit to practice how to attach it to virtually anything, but once practiced this is a useful gadget to have, and very small to bring along while traveling. I took some nice videos while skiing, and nice pics while snorkelling.
Just keep in mind this is an action camera, and as such it cannot replace a camera. But if you are looking to take pics or videos without risking your more expensive camera, then it is a must have.

Amazing little camera!
For the price, I really can’t find a fault for this camera. It was a bit tricky to figure out how to get it to work to begin with but once my husband had a play around with it he knew what to do! Lol.
Love it, would it definitely recommend. Although, I couldn’t find an attachment as it could do with a handle as it’s quite small I was scared of dropping it but I think that’s because I wasn’t looking properly for one so if anyone has a suggestion on where to get a handle for it that would be amazing! Thank you!
Great for the price
Great little camera for the price. Only used it for swimming so can’t comment on other activities. The waterproof case works well and underwater photos and videos are decent quality for the price paid. The transfer of photos via WiFi is very handy whilst on holiday so you can clear space on the SD card. Few drawbacks: not being able to switch between camera and video without having to go through the entire menu. Also, not much explanation for all the different attachments that come with it so there are quite a few that I have no idea what they do. Other than that, handy little camera for the price paid.
Cheap and works well
I didn’t expect much and the camera can do more than I thought. The wifi connection is great and via the app I could manage to download all the photo and video without cabel. Don’t expect much from the quality of video, it is a cheap and quick solution to record a memories occasionally (eg. on holidays). If you wanna use the videos/photos for other purpose or more frequent then it is not for you. However, the stucture is cheap plastic, the battery cover broke on the first day of use. I tape it – even do not bother to send it back and ask for a new one. I got more than I expected for my money. (<60)
Didn’t work. Replaced
I’m updating my review after a really positive customer experience. When I emailed to say the camera didn’t work we had a back and forth about steps to try. When none of these worked they agreed to replace the camera. I sent it back and received the new one which works fine.
The only downside for me is it says you should use more than a 16gb memory card. This means if you want more than 30 minutes footage you need to seriously reduce the quality. I use it for horse riding on 1-2 hour rides so I dropped it to 1080p. This gives 90 minutes of decent quality footage.
This was my original problem:
Having purchased this after I bought a cheap one that didn’t work, I checked it took a picture and recorded a few seconds. The first time I tried to use it to record myself horse riding I went to stop recording and the camera was off. It hadn’t saved anything. It looks like it is recording but just turns off randomly and doesn’t save anything. Sometimes will look like it’s recoding for up to 6 minutes. Sometimes it doesn’t even make 2 seconds. 3 hours of trying and I still have 0 footage recorded.

Superb action camera for price, just one quibble preventing a full five stars. I use to record band rehearsals. My friend uses his far more expensive GoPro for one angle, I use Akaso for other. We do Multicam vids for YouTube. We use a separate sound file recorded on a PCM recorder. The GoPro never goes out of sync with the sound file. The Akaso image starts going ahead after three minutes or so. It’s due to frames being dropped. I’ve tried various sd cards, but to no avail. This can be solved by chopping up the Akaso’s timeline in my Magix movie editing software and sliding the segments to match the sound, but it does make the editing process lengthier than it should be. Like I said, a minor thing considering the context it’s being used in, but perhaps something for people who favour using a secondary sound source to watch out for.

The camera works brilliantly and it for a 2500 mile motorcycle tour.
On my motorcycle for a trip to Mexico. I will send more info when on the trip. Accessories are great and I can fit it on my helmet, jacket or handlebars. The auto shoot is great and picture very stable.
Great camera for the price
For the low price this is a great little camera. It’s relatively straight forward to use once you’ve had a play about with it, and the wrist strap remote it comes with makes it incredibly easy to use on the go. Video quality is nice for its size.
Amazing for the price
Working well to film swimming underwater. Came with battery pack and accessories most of which I’m not using. It is quite user friendly, produces crisp videos, and the app to download is fast and easy.
I am using the camera inside of a waterproof case, so have not used the touch screen.
