Two emergency override keys are included, which makes it possible to open the safe and access your valuables even if you forget your passcode or if the keypad batteries run out. The digital display has three different symbols to indicate locked, unlocked, and low battery. *Note: The safe is shipped locked. Keys misplaced and safe is in locked. I need duplicate keys. Batteries not inserted and Digital lock not started working.

Everything is good....unfortunately I have lost the master key..but cloud tail support is absolutely worthless...I had requested them for replacing the key under chargeable basis because it doesn't come under warranty...I have done the requirements what ever required but there support is absolutely useless...they promised me that it will be resolved in 10 days of time...but till now there is no response from them..I am trying to reach customer care from the past 4 days but in vein.....ki fly support customers...

Echt stabil
Ein stabiler Safe fr alle unsere Wertsachen. Sehr gerumig, daher Platz fr unsere Dokumente, Schmuck und alles was sicher verstaut werden sollte. Sehr gutes Befestigungsmaterial. Der Preis ist gerechtfertigt.

Es perfecta para guardar documentos importantes o algunas joyas y efectivo, es espaciosa y muy bonita, fcil de usar y de montar, la nica pega es q la puerta tiene un pequeo juego en la puerta pero para el uso que le voy a, dar no mereca la pena todo el folln del cambio.

El tamao est muy bien para mis necesidades (guardar algo de efectivo y documentos, incluso tamao oficio), pero no es tan solida como lo esperaba y como otras cajas que he tenido. Pero bien es cierto que por el precio no poda esperar tanto blindaje. Fuera de ello todo bien y de un 5 solo pongo un 4 por lo anterior.

An easy to use basic home safe. Not the most solid out there im sure but perfect for stashing in a cupboard. The concrete fixing bolts were no good for the only place i found to put it (a (wooden floor) so found 2″coach screws which were the best equivalent to the ones supplied

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS
I have had the AmazonBasics Security Safe for quite a few weeks now. When I first received it, I said to myself: “What have I done?” – It’s so bulky (External Dimensions L * B * H 43 * 37 * 23cm) quite heavy (10.9kg). [Please NOTE you need 4 * AA Batteries in order to be able to set a PIN Code for the Safe! – more about that later]
I found it QUITE DIFFICULT to pull off the GREY plastic covering that conceals the hole you put the Override Key into. I also found it quite difficult to UNDERSTAND & therefore set up the PASSCODE for the Safe. Though I did work it out in the end!
MORE DETAILED REVIEW
The AmazonBasics Box comes with 2* Override/Emergency Keys to open the Safe. Inside the safe, which is (L * B * H 42.7 * 30.8 * 22.7cm are a Detailed Instruction Booklet, a metal divider/separator to enable one to have TWO SEPARATE COMPARTMENTS inside the Safe, a non-slip synthetic covering [so that items put in the safe don’t slide about], as well as Bolts with washers to affix the Safe either to a wall or to the ground. Personally, I’ve just been keeping keeping the Safe under our bed, as the aim is to USE IT to keep medicines, cash and children’s bond certificates OUT OF THE REACH of our inquisitive children!
You need to use ONE of the Override Keys provided to OPEN the AmazonBasics SAFE for the first time.
a) But First you NEED to access the Override Keyhole, which is next to the Big Knob You Turn To Open the Safe – It is covered with a GREY Triangular-Shaped Plastic that has a half-crescent shaped bottom – Basically it’s like the top end of a space capsule!
b) I was quite concerned about breaking it, and so I eased off the GREY cover bit by bit USING a coin, as recommended in the Instruction Booklet.
c) I then inserted the Emergency Key into the Keyhole, turning it clockwise and AFTER THAT, I turned the Knob of the Safe Clockwise to open the door to the Safe.
d) Inside the Safe were the Bolts and Screws NEEDED to fasten or bolt down the Safe SECURELY to a Wall (Make Sure You have someone assisting you as the 28 Litre Safe is Quite HEAVY at 10.8kg) or to A FLAT LEVEL GROUND SURFACE). There were also the Instruction Booklet (written in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese & one other language I did not recognise), as well as as partition divider for the Safe (So you can have items on two levels) and a non-slip synthetic covering for the bottom of the safe, so your items don’t slide around in the Safe.
e) The Instructions manual was OUT OF DATE with respect to WHERE the Battery Compartment is LOCATED – It is actually LOCATED at the VERY BOTTOM OF THE INSIDE OF THE SAFE DOOR RATHER THAN TOWARDS THE TOP OF THE INSIDE OF THE SAFE DOOR (Please see my Pics)
f) You then Slide Open the Battery Compartment by GENTLY applying pressure to the Battery Compartment Cover and SLIDING IT TO THE RIGHT ( See my Pics), and slide in 4 * AA BATTERIES.
g) As this AmazonBasics Safe is MEANT to be a SECURE ITEM to protect some of your valuables, I do NOT FEEL able to describe in depth HOW TO RESET the Passcode for the Safe. SUFFICE TO SAY there are SUFFICIENTLY DETAILED DIAGRAMS & INSTRUCTIONS IN THE BOOKLET that comes with the Safe that explains the whole process.
h) I can safely say though that you need to RESET THE DEFAULT PASSCODE THAT COMES WITH THE SAFE PRIOR TO SETTING A PASSCODE of between 3 and 8 digits.
i) It is STRONGLY ADVISED that you test Out the need passcode with the SAFE DOOR OPEN Prior to closing & locking the Safe Door
j) And of course ENSURE you have the EMERGENCY OVERRIDE KEYS somewhere SAFE, as the Safe Door will NOT open with a PASSCODE WHEN the batteries put in the Safe’s Battery Compartment are low or no longer work
AND TWO MORE COMMENTS:
1. When setting the Passcode for the Safe, You MAY have to do it a few times before the NEW PASSCODE IS ACCEPTED. You will then be GREETED with a “GREEN UNLOCK ICON” on the Screen of the SAFE (See Pics)
2. ONCE the passcode has been set IF you enter it wrong 3 Consecutive times, it will lock you out for 30seconds etc [Sorry I cannot say more as this is PART OF THE SECURITY FEATURE OF THE SAFE!].

Sin embargo, creo que es muy vulnerable debido a su cerradura de emergencia y que permite su apertura con una llave tubular. El propio Amazon comercializa por muy poco precio “herramientas” que permiten la apertura de este tipo de cerraduras. Por lo que he estado viendo, sta vulnerabilidad es un factor comn en la mayora de cajas de estas caractersticas. Sera preferible que omitieran esta cerradura y que pusieran un sistema de alimentacin externa para el caso en que se quedara sin batera.

Compr la de gran tamao, y estoy muy contento. Ya llevo ms de 1 ao con la caja y siempre ha funcionado sin problemas. Ahora por primera vez tengo que cambiarle las pilas. Es muy pesada, segura y resistente. Recomiendo su compra.

Good value for money, decent safe for domestic use
This small safe is easy to use and useful for storing small items, A4 size documents are not easy to get in or get out if they do not bend easily or need to be kept straight. There is a shelf near to the top. Installation is fairly straight forward for someone who is able to use a drill / has basic DIY skills. The owner needs to be able to follow the instructions for setting the pass code which is straight forward.

Sehr guter Tresor. Mein Mann hat ihn zustzlich im Kasten verschraubt da man ihn ja einfach leicht weg tragen knnte. Die grsse ist toll, es Passt schon einiges rein. Und er sieht auch gut aus. Bin sehr zufrieden und wrde ihn wieder um den Preis kaufen.

Me ha gustado en geberal. Lo que no me gusta es la tapa que cubre la llave q es plastuco con en ganches de olastico, esro lo convierte en una pieza muy facil de romperse y por lo tanto con poca vida util

Acquistata per avere un luogo “controllato” dove riporre un paio di orologi di mia moglie, orecchini, braccialetti e anelli di poco valore quando la colf svolge le sue mansioni domestiche…
Il prodotto ottimo e l’utilizzo immediato. Se si ha l’accortezza di seguire le istruzioni passo-passo si viene guidati all’impostazione del codice di uso quotidiano e del codice Master da utilizzare in caso di emergenza senza dover ricorrere alla chiave (mi stato utile quando a seguito di numerosi inserimenti sbagliati, la cassaforte andata in blocco!).
Lo spazio interno adeguato a riporre un po’ di monili e qualche documento… ma nulla pi.
Per far fronte alla scarsa luminosit interna, ho acquistato una striscia led magnetica che si attiva col movimento. Per cui, all’apertura della porta, magicamente si accende la luce nella cassaforte!
Ho utilizzato i fori sul fondo per fissarlo ad un ripiano interno di un armadio, utilizzando degli inserti filettati per legno e delle viti a testa piatta/svasata.
Come gi sottolineato da altri utenti, dato l’esiguo spessore della lamiera (circa 0.5-0.7mm), la cassaforte non idonea a contenere preziosi o contanti, ma l’ideale per essere usata come “appoggio” sicuro per oggetti di poco valore.

Habe den Tresor jetzt einige Monate und bin sehr zufrieden. Elektronik Probleme hatte ich zum Glck noch keine. Den Code erkennt er immer an.
Ja der Safe ist nicht unknackbar aber es ist aufjedenfall sicherer als ohne^^ Logischerweise ist der Preis immer im Verhltnis mit dem Produkt zu setzen… Ich bin Preis Leistung mig zufrieden 🙂
Wer 10kg Gold im Wert von 300.000 Euro aufbewahren will, der wird auch das Geld haben um einen teuren gepanzerten Tresor zu kaufen.
Aber fr den 0815 Menschen der einfach etwas Sicherheit will ist der Tresor perfekt. Ich wrde dazu raten den Tresor auch zu verstecken, da er sonst mitgenommen oder herausgerissen werden kann.
Nicht jeder hat die Mglichkeit das ist mir klar.
Ich meine wir Leben in Deutschland wo wir 70% von unserem Einkommen an den Staat abdrcken, damit der EU Superstaat noch grer wird – sprich viele wohnen in einer 2 Zimmer Wohnung obwohl sie Vollzeit arbeiten… da ist natrlich nicht viel Platz fr groartige Verstecke.
Wer einen Keller oder Dachboden voller unntiger Dinge hat ist da besser dran. Ich z.B. habe den Keller (locker mal 50qm) voll mit Gerpel. Natrlich sind da auch viele Werkzeuge etc. Aber meistens Sachen die man nicht brauchst…
Stellt man nun den Tresor in einen groen Karton auf einem Regal. Wird vermutlich niemand einen 50qm groen Keller durchsuchen der so aussieht als wre nur “Mll” drinnen…

Good size, and has shelf. To be clear – it’s not a safe (not fireproof, walls of the unit are simply regular metal), more of a very good lock box. It is well designed, easy to use. Locking device you have choice digital keypad or key. Definitely secure enough to keep normal ppl out of the box. We use it to store general stuff, keep kids and their friends out 🙂 ..

I purchased it mainly because of the perception that it is a great value compared to other brands, like Goodrej and Yale. You get a lot bigger safe for less than half the cost of other brands. What I read is that all lowend safes are equally good or bad, unless you step up to the certified category. The cheapest Yale certified safe is about 4 times the cost, but you get a smaller safe and still get no fire safety, so I didn’t see a point to invest more for the type of things you would intend to store at home (after all, it is not a substitute for bank locker).
The safe I bought (1.2cuft) has plenty of room inside to store even A3 size papers with folders. There is a removable separator, in case one needs more vertical space. The safe seems sturdy, but it is light enough for one person to move it around, which means it needs to be bolted to a solid wall/floor or the thief could as well just carry it out. There are videos on the internet that show how to pick the lock on the safe with just a pen, but this one came with an updated lock design so hopefully it is not as easy to pick. After all, it is just a deterrent and I think it will do well for that purpose. While the shipping box was not concealed, there is nothing big (like a picture) that indicates that there is a safe in it (which should be the case to avoid unnecessary attraction).
Now coming to the installation, I bolted it to the wall myself using a Black and Decker drill. The manual recommended using a 12mm bit, so I had to go and buy one locally for Rs.100. I first made a smaller hole and then made it bigger using the 12mm bit. I wanted to follow the instructions in the manual blindly, but they wouldn’t have worked as is. After drilling the holes, the manual tells you to slide back the safe and then insert the expansion bolts, but the sleeve on the expansion bolts is larger than the hole on the safe so there is no way that is going to work. The right way would be to separate out the sleeve and nut and insert the nut and sleeve first and then slide the safe back to align the holes and then screw the bolt. In fact, if I look back at the illustration in the manual (see picture), I can see that the bolt is to be inserted without sleeve. I made a few mistakes that cost me a lot of time, so listing them here so that others can avoid them:
– I didn’t check if the depth was exactly 2″ and for a couple of them it turned out to be 2 to 3mm more. This made it hard for nut to catch the bolt. Had I checked before inserting the nut and sleeve, I could have inserted some folded paper to prop the nut from the other side.
– I didn’t ensure that the bit is centered before starting to drill. For the very first hole, I ended up making a bigger hole at the other end of the hole (inside the wall). This made the nut rotate inside the wall as there was too much room. I was able to use a very long screw to flip it back.
– I didn’t ensure that hole is cleaned so the dust got into the threads and made it harder to catch the nut and sleeve. If you have a vacuum cleaner, use that to suck out the loose dust, otherwise at least use a hair dryer to blow it out.

Cost effective, simple to use safe.
This is my first safe and it solves my purpose. Its quite easy to setup. It has a slider to divide its inner section length. The build also is very good.

Just received the package.Very well packed.Still not have a place to install.So just checked the safe for all the functions and found everything ok.The finish is excellent and the upper wall is more sturdy than the side walls.The front wall is the most sturdy one.The safe is very specious and features are very good.It has two racks and the lower rack is covered with a thin felt cover which is an excellent feature as it will prevent any scratches to occur on the scrach prone things if anyone keeps.I am very happy with the purchase.Also,super quick delivery by Amazon.

Simple to operate but a bit less weighty than my previous one and as it’s not fire or waterproof I’ve had to buy a fireproof wallet for documents.

Good size and while reasonably light in weight it is, if securely bolted to wall, solid enough for home use. However, if you have some seriously valuable items that require protection I’d consider something heavier and more substantial. Horses for courses. That said I’m happy with it.

Guter Safe für kleines Geld
Toller Safe, lsst sich einfach bedienen und sieht nett aus. Schrauben zum montieren sind dabei. Wrde ihn bei Bedarf sofort wieder bestellen.
Good safe but difficult to fit.
I have no complaints with the safe itself. Feels secure, works well, looks good. My only complaint is the wall anchors. Four expansion bolts are included, with little explanation on how to install them properly. Even with the correct tools, it is difficult to make a good job of it. And with expansion bolts, you only get one shot. If you mess one up, too bad; you cannot just undo it and try again.

I wanted a robust home safe to store important A4 documents and personal items of value. This safe does that at a reasonable cost. It is electronic but has two emergency keys. I know it is not fire resistant but no safe is unless you go for a specialist make with fire ISO standard. It does what I require and I pleased with the result especially now I have secured it to a wall with the fittings supplied.

Only complaint is about the delivery. As we were going away ina few days, I ordered this Amazon product using Amazon Prime, and then the fun started with emails saying it was delayed. I complained and it was cancelled and re-ordered by them with expedited delivery so it would (I was promised) definitely arrive the next day. Not according to the next email I received – it was now going to be delivered two days after the original one should have been! Arrived with the words “Security Safe” emblazoned on the package.
Not the first problem, Prime is turning in to a bit of a joke.
However, once it did arrive it is well made and easy to program. Plenty big enough for valuables, passports etc. Very pleased with it, excellent value for money
Great little safe! Not fireproof but for what I needed it for it’s perfect.
Update. I lost my house this past week to a fire. It was a total loss. Somehow this safe made it with 4 handguns in it as well as ammo and various paperwork. It still managed to open USING KEYPAD when the firefighters brought it out!!!! I can’t recommend this safe enough now.
Nice compact safe. This was easy to set up and equally easy to install using the bolts provided. The carpet on the bottom is a complete waste of time but I don’t consider that relevent. The shelf isn’t adjustable. It’s either in or out, so really only deserving or 4 1/2 stars for the error in description. But it feels sturdy and I can see no obvious flaws in its construction. The main thing is that no burglar is going to be able to crack it open easily and certainly won’t be able to get it off the wall and take it away with them.
What can I say, this is a great little safe just like the ones you find in hotel rooms. it comes with a keylock to override the code so even the most forgetful of people will rest knowing their items are safe.

it’s not huge, but for keeping passports credit cards and jewellery in it’s perfect, and represents great value for money.
I find that all of the Amazon Basics range are fit for purpose and good value, i’d say this is way above the standard you would expect for the price.
