These are excellent pumps that keep your pond in excellent condition BUT they DO NOT come with plugs (you need two) and 2000, 3000 and 6000 are model numbers not ltrs p/hr!
Not as good as it could be.
My fish have bred so the 3000 5 in 1 pump is no longer adequate for my 2500 litre pond, so I have upgraded to the 6000 5 in 1 pump. I like the product, otherwise would not have bought the same make again, but it does have some design faults.
The transformer for the uv lamp is too far away from the plug so it is difficult to disguise or house.
I have removed the light bulb to stop it shining in our bedroom window or annoying the fish during the night. It is a feature that should be switched separately, or removed in favour of a separate solar light which is what I have done.
It is best to use the largest diameter hose possible, to get enough flow to a water feature, or the pipe friction seriously reduces the flow. I am using 18mm (inside diameter) which fits straight on to the top of the pump.
I found that, in the Spring, tadpoles get tragically imbedded in the coarse filter, so I put a polymer wool filter on the top which helped.
Worth buying
Keeps the water clean and clear – pretty easy to clean – can adjust fountain height – comes with light- light remains on 24/7 unless you get your hand wet and cover the sensor. You need plug for filter and light- two cables come out of pump at opposite sides of unit.
Needs two plugs
The product seems to work well (although of course only time will tell), and was relatively easy to assemble. Unfortunatey I did not realise that it requires two leads and two plug sockets (one for the pump and one for the UV filter and light). As we only have one outdoor socket I had to pay another 18 for an exterior double adaptor. I found the instructions were not very helpful and had to work out much of it myself; it is also not clear in what position the handle should be left when under water.

This pump and filter added to my new pond really well and does the job. Looks lovely at night too with the light.

Having tried lots of things to clear my pond without success. The Blagdon in pond has successfully cleared the water and what a difference and pleasure it gives to be able yo see clearly our fish.

Totally clear pond within 7 days …
We tried everything to turn our pea soup pond clear again .. we weren’t even sure we still had fish in there !!! Within 7 days we could see the bottom & our 2 new baby fish we didn’t even know we had would highly recommend no more chemicals, barley straw etc just this pump with its lovely night light & fountain – fab

Have a small fish pond and since using this pump the water is much clearer and can see my fish much better.
Simple
Two leads one for uv one for pump easy enough To do, took a few weeks to settle in, had to clean filters every 2 weeks or so initially, doing a great job
Good filter, with small design flaw?
Works well, but does not come with a handle for lifting out of the pond for cleaning purposes, which the other models (6000 & 9000) do have, hence 3 stars for ease of cleaning.
Clear water now!
After many chemical attempts to clear the pond water I invested in this. Pictures show how much green is filtered out of the pond and in one week I can now see the bottom having not been able to for years. It’s really easy to disassemble to clean and then reassemble. Great product- worth every penny!

Excellent 5 in 1 pump
We have used this Blagdon 5 in 1 2000 in our 175 gallon raised pond although we have no plants or fish yet. Hope it will perform as well as the fountain does. Easy to install although we decided to put the wiring under the decking and into the house. You have to use 2 plugs as they don’t come with it and we also used 2 RCDs. The light at night is a lovely feature too. Purchased at a great price too during Amazon deal week.

Easy to install, just need a plug..I noticed the difference in the pond the day after installing…after a few more days it was crystal clear, been running for a few weeks now and no issues at all. It’s nice to see my goldfish again..
