Just what I needed
My old line was a dinosaur. But this line is so easy to fold and put up . I have arthritis and it’s just right for me. It’s big enough for a family and very strong. I also like the cover which is well made not like some Iv had that fray and breakup after a couple of months. All in all I love this line and at a very good price to

plenty of line space
I have always used a straight washing line but after moving house had to make other arrangements for my washing. This rotary clothes line has plenty of space even for large items. Installing the spike into the ground took a while as the ground was very hard and we had to soak it over a period of an hour. We managed it in the end although I must admit it isn’t 100% upright. Even with the spike problem would recommend it.

So glad I bought this, why didn’t I buy sooner. Very easy to put up, to fold away, plent of line to hang my washing on. Feels sturdy and robust so I’m very pleased with my purchase and the product.
Lots of washing space. And very easy to raise and lower.
Points I like: lots of space for large washing loads and ease of raising and lowering.
Points I don’t like: The sturdy ground spike took a lot of installing, very deep hole needed digging and still couldnt get it level with ground. However, this should not stop you purchasing it, just something to be aware of. I am tiny and not very strong and everyones ground will be different of course.

So easy to put up and down and sturdy. Didn’t use the spike because my lawn is rubble below 4inches so I used an existing hole. Had to adapt it as old rotary line pole was smaller. I took rubber end off and inserted old pole into it. Works well.

This drier is not the cheapest but it is great. So sturdy and takes two or more of my washing loads easily. One reviews recommended using a spade to make a cross in the ground to help putting the base in. Good advise. It has a wide span but that and the height suits me perfectly; no more sheets hanging on the ground.

The best rotary drier on the market. Ensure the ground is well watered before trying to knock in the spike. Insert line every couple of inches to ensure the pole is straight at the end. Can easily hang 2 loads of washing on line, possibly 3
Strong sturdy whirly line!
Great whirly line, sturdy, easy to put up, easy to put away. Has a cover to protect it and keep it clean ready for next use. Has it’s own ground spike which has a cover also when the line isn’t in use.

Great product, easy to use (adjustable height). Good price came with cover and ground holder. The delivery was on time, however packaging not great lucky no damage occurred, otherwise a star would have been deducted. I would definitely recommend.
Large airer, easy to put up & down, very sturdy.
A terrific large garden airier, it enables us to hang out a large wash. Very easy to install. comes with a ground spike and weather proof cover. Very easy to adjust the height you require.

Good rotary line.
Everything I out the washine line up it nearly chokes me (I’m tall so it is harder to bend down) and when it comes down it does catch my head with the actual line.
Would be useful to have a cap with a hole to sit in the actual contraption in the ground to make it slightly less wobbly.

Very well built, you certainly get what you pay for. Easy to raise and lower and great that you can choose the best height for you without compromising on the line tension.
Works well
Plenty of line on this. The lines are bit close, but still gives plenty of option in use. It folds easily and it’s handy to have the small blue straps to tie in the lines when folded away. Another good one from Brabantia.

Not had it long but at first inspection everything seems as it should. This was purchased as a replacement so it fitted easy into the existing hole. Lots of space and the lines are individual so don’t need tightening. Also came with cover and ground spike (which I didn’t need)

Having read other reviews I decided to make a pilot hole in the ground with a piece of steel bar I had. Hammered that in and then wiggled/ rotated it to create a hole to hide the spike. This worked well until the spike was half way in. Then the shape of the spike made it very difficult to hammer in – I had a piece of wood on top of the spike so it didn’t get damaged but eventually the edge of the spike hole started to deform. Luckily it went in deep enough and I was able to re shape the hole to accept the dryer.
Is recommend this dryer but it’s hard installing the spike, maybe it’s easier into concrete but that wasn’t an option for me.

Dries lots of washing
Easy to erect, I did mine on concrete, and cemented the stake in . Very light to put up and take down when not in use with a handy cover also . Also came with a spike cover so you can store line in a shed in the winter months , and cover the spike to protect the spike in the ground from fill up with water or garden debris.

Good quality product. I used a 50mm auger to give the ground socket a start as my ground is fairly firm clay.
The operation of the height adjustment is quite easy to use.
Very sturdy and easy to put up
I have had rotary lines before but have always been disappointed so when I needed a new one a chose the Brabantia as it seemed the best and I haven’t been disappointed. It comes with a ground tubes which is really sturdy but took some work to put into the lawn but it holds it great -no need to concrete.
The line goes up easily and holds loads of washing.
It comes with a cover which is well made and zipped. I take my line out and use the plug that comes with it to cover up the ground tube. It also comes with a peg bag.
I am a fair weather line user only so I can’t say how it is in high wind or bad weather and I store it inside so I can’t comment on it’s likely life but so far it’s much better than anything I’ve had before even if it’s a bit expensive.

Tad disappointed
I am very happy with my dryer but a tad disappointed with the spike!! As it’s very windy here in Cornwall we decided to concrete the spike in…all ok until the pole was inserted and it wobbles. It’s just not a snug fit at all.I have had to insert little clips at the base of the pole shaft to secure it a bit more.
I hate to moan especially as I love the actual dryer.It’s just a shame it’s not a snug fit into the spike.
Good quality washing line
Good sturdy washing line. Easy to install, although we did need to dig out a hole and concrete in the base, due to rocky ground making the spike difficult to get in. Works well and holds several wash loads with ease.

Its worth paying the extra bit of money this airer is well worth it you get the cover which is a zipper so no struggles nice and easie you even get the ground spike to so no messing about all done for you right size just how I liked it just remember to put it in straigh

My wife found this very easy to install, took about 10 minutes. The system is very sturdy and it’s very handy to be able to put it away to allow the garden to be used again.
Huge drying capacity
Brilliant…I really regret not buying this sooner. Very sturdy with huge drying capacity. Brabanitia have thought of everything to make drying clothes outside easier. The ratcheted centre post enables you to adjust the arms to the height you want and makes putting in up and folding it v easy. The ends of the arms have helpful hooks for hanging shirts on hangers which I have found cuts down on ironing. The dryer is easy to remove for storage over winter or when not in use, with a plug to close the hole so that stones and grass etc don’t fall into the void. The only issue I had was in sinking the spear which holds the drier into position. This took a couple of goes as it’s critical to sink the spear in vertically otherwise your dryer sits at an irritating wonk. The spear is long, taking some effort to sink it flush to the ground.
Fantastic Rotary Line
This rotary line has a great capacity and can easily hold four wash loads at one time. The item is very sturdy and easy to fold down. Found it hard to bang into the grass but once it was done the base is solid.
Easy to unfold.
I have to say that I did not need the ground spike supplied as I already had a sleeve cemented in from a previous item. As it was, it only remained to slide the rotary washing pole into the sleeve and then press the button to unfold it. The button was very easy to use and may be good for someone with arthritis. I am 5’6 and it definitely cleared my head and I don’t have to duck. I am looking forward to hanging my first load of washing.
I could not unfold my previous rotary washing line as it got hopelessly tangled when trying to put it up again. This one does not seem to do it.
Very good, but.
This is a nice drying frame and the mechanism makes life very easy.
However the line is very thin and my old pegs allowed sheets to slip.
Problem was solved with new pegs, so no real harm done.
With that in mind, I would recommend this drying frame.

Brilliant!
I love this very sturdy and spatious rotary clothes line. It was relatively easy to assemble and fveels very strong. It’s easy to make adjustments to the height and tension, too, and better still, once you’ve put the laundry onto it, you can then increase the height to where you feel it will be best suited. Only time will tell how this will wear, but I have high hopes for it. The base that goes into the ground is a really good length and is far more stable than others I have had previously plus I like the red cap that fits over the base when you take the airer inside. I also like the plastic internal fitting with a drain hole in it that is in the base. Highly recommend this airer. Thank You Brabantia.
Great Rotary Airer with a few improvements on older models
Firstly those that have stake issues; dig a hole and set the stake in a small amount of concrete, leveling it to vertical as the concrete goes off, it will not move.
Fitted neatly into an old spike. Like the fact its; taller than the old model (i am 6ft and the highest line is over head height, the lines are individual – if one snaps the rest will be okay, there are lots of height settings, it holds 3 – 4 loads of washing, and it has a tie to help hold in a folded position while you put a cover on it.
All this for under 80.00

It real is big long beast and in my opinion is over engineered.I live in an area that has limestone “rubble” below the topsoil and in spite of probing the soil first the spike still hit immovable object with 3 inches still sticking out of the lawn. Others might experience similar with bricks on new build sites. I resorted to digging the spike out, then broke the soil in the bottom usina very long drill but it was still 3 inches proud of the lawn.
Solution?
Remove 31/2 inches off the bottom of the spike with an angle grinder, level the top of the spike and use stone pieces and soil to ram pack the hole. Finally, cut removed turf to fit around the hole. Some might find the use of dry mix designed for fence posts more convenient.
Easy peasy!! It only took two and a half hours! You might want to cut to the chase and do this to start with. There is better control of alignment. It stops all the problems of constantly correcting position only to ruin it again with the hammer
One advantage is that the hole is now open at the bottom and cannot collect water!

Great quality rotary washing line
This is a strong, large, rotary washing line. It comes with a ground anchor that we used a sledgehammer on a block of wood to install into the ground. No need to concrete it holds really well.
It also comes with a green cover that has a zip all the way down, to help install and remove it.
We are a family of 5 and this is an expensive washing line, but its far better than anything else we have owned.

Slides up and down like a dream
The washing line (whirlie) arrived well packaged & quickly. I managed to fit it on to the existing pole in concrete from my last one. Took the bottom plastic cover off and it slid over nice & easy.
It slides up and down easily and the tensioning is great already don3 for you.

Strong
Had this model before and it was brilliant the mechanism was still as good on the old one when I disposed of it. The problem was at the base were it links into the spear, it sheared off after years of wear and tear.

Loads of room, well made, quite easy to install. The only negative is the putting up and down, the mechanism is a bit awkward, and getting underneath at the right angle can be difficult.

Good rotary aire
This airer erects very easily. The only fault with it is if you have it set low, the washing line is baggy, when erected at the top of the choice of heights it’s fine. Having said this, I’m really pleased with it, no more straining trying to twist the collar in the correct position.
Good quality produc
Nice substantial product, easily adjustable. Actually concreted in the provided soil fitting as no chance of driving that into our stony soil and no point buying the extra fitting. Each line is a separate one so you don’t get the issues with having a single line spiralling round.
Quality does not come cheap
Our old (galvanised) rotary washing line lasted years, so we wanted a quality replacement. The Brabantia Rotary Airer Washing Line is definitely a quality product. Sturdy, unique design (the lines are individual lengths between each arm, not a continuous length). It does mean if one did snap, it could be replaced without the need to replace the lot. The raising/lowering mechanism is simple, effective and holds without slipping.
Beware, the pole needs a 50mm ground spike, so the old cheapy ones are not big enough. It does however come with it’s own ground spike, but we have a winter and a summer location for ours. Fortunately both spikes were the right size.
Not cheap, but quality. Only time will tell how well it lasts.
Perfect for a large family wash
Very sturdy product, it is bigger than I thought it was going to be, which is not a bad thing. The only difficulty I had was putting the supporting stake into the ground, it took considerable effort and hammering, it won’t fall down!
Not so bad
Not so easy to insert into grass. Was disappointed with the cover that comes with the wash line as it got holes before we even put into the ground as the cover is thin. I had to buy the cover separate which was extra money but that is value fir your money

Quality washing line
Really well made, lots of drying space recommend. The base is made to be hammered into the ground which I wasn’t able to do. Dug a hole for 2/3 hammered the rest, cemented some of it but had to backfill last part. Seems ok though.
Sturdy and easy to use
Best rotary washing line I have owned. I noticed some reviews said it was hard to put up first time and is too tall for someone short. I am 5ft and have no problems putting it up and as it has different levels to put it up on it is so easy to hang the washing out without stretching. Would recommend this rotary line
Very light and easy to lift and fold
A great airer. Holds masses of washing and spins very freely. I had an existing 55mm ground spike already concreted in and the 50mm dryer fitted really well. Just a very slight wobble which has been resolved with a very thin sleeve. A very sturdy and easy to fold rotary dryer. Should last for years.
Nice Produc
This is a great product and stores away neatly when not in use. The only negative point I feel is the ground spike, I tried to install it as per instuctions which is to hammer it into the ground but there is no way that would last. In the end I concreted it in.
Gets me on top of my washing
This line was easy to install but use a 4lb hammer to hammer it home. Unfortunately because of the soil I hit a rock so didn’t drive in straight but not the fault of the product. Still works an absolute dream. I bought the 60 meter line and for the first time in many years I am now on top of my washing.
You do get what you pay for......

The washing line itself is of good, sturdy construction. Easy to put up and take down with plenty of room for all the washing and easy rotation in the wind.
A great purchase let down by the typical, useless Hermes delivery. Certainly nothing “prime” about that.
I’d definitely buy again and recommend the product but not delivered by Hermes.
Quite hard to put up and heavy.
This product is a lot thicker and heavier than I thought. Quite hard to put up. Not as easy to use as the previous model I purchased.
Smooth moveme
Very happy with this excellent washing line which I bought to replace one from a department store which only lasted 6 years despite being stored in the garage when not in use.
This line is huge and much easier to put up: the movement is smooth and efficient. Just as easy to put down and fairly light to move back to the garage.

I’m very satisfied with my Brabantia dryer, very solid and good quality which does not surprise me from Brabantia. I live in an apartment with a balcony and couldn’t find a solution for a dryer so I choose Brabantia. I made a concrete in a sturdy pot to use my dryer. Brabantia does not advise you to do it and if you do and it breaks your warranty is no longer valid. I’m not showing you to do like me but just to show you that this is an alternative for those who have an apartment with balcony and not a garden.
Easiest washing line eve
This is so easy to put up and down it’s unbelievable. My last line took so much effort, this is a one-hand job.
Obviously getting the spike into the ground is as hard as with any line, but the operation of this is a dream.

The cover is an essential addition, if you want to help your line make it through winter weather. The unit is easy to push up into position, and offers several settings. Once up it is locked and sturdy, Getting it back down is as easy as a button press. Fitting it into the ground is not a job for anyone less than fit, as it requires the physical strength to hammer the retaining collar into the ground, making sure it goes in straight. If this is not done properly your line will be at an angle.

Sturdy and does the job
Bought to avoid having long washing lines strung across the garden when we moved house. Was a bit sceptical that you could fit everything on and that it would dry as efficiently as conventional line but pleasantly surprised. Bit tricky to hammer spike into lawn straight but once in its definitely secure (its sited in a very blustery garden). Fits a families washing on easily. Easy to put up and down. Would advise buying the cover to keep it clean and dry between uses.

I’ve only given 4 stars for sturdiness since time will tell how robust the dryer is. It was super easy to install and is very spacious. It arrived with a missing end cap on one of the arms, but Brabantia was super helpful and sent me a pack of four.
Juts as described.
Obviously not easy to hammer base into ground, but important so its level. Once base in though the clothes line is great. Sturdy and easy tp push up, like an umbrella. Can be different heights too which is useful. Appears robust and plenty of lines to hang washing.

Yes the rotary drier is a true top spinner, good quality materials, the ground spike took about 5 minutes to hammer into the ground, suggest you make a pilot hole first plus the x in the ground, and if the ground is very hard or compacted soak the ground and leave it o/night which should help in the installation, my wife is very pleased with it, it replaced a non top spinner type drier which we had for 9 years but would never go back to a non type again.

The main reason I chose this model was it had to be the easiest to put up and down- it is easiest I have used. It is relatively elegant in aluminium.

Very impressed with this! I read comments saying that it was hard to put the holder into the ground, my lawn was very hard but I managed to knock it into ground using a piece of wood and a mallet and it went in quite easily.
I am very impressed and have ordered another holder to put into another part of the garden so that I can move the line about depended on where the sun is

This is a fantastic product. It is a bit more pricey but you get what you pay for and this is great. I even managed to get the spike into ground myself which I was impressed with. The spike is quite substantial so takes some doing but once in I’ve been using rotary line every day and it’s very sturdy. I would definitely recommend this.
Very solid
Very well made but not that easy to install. A very substantial spike is supplied but this is very difficult to get into the ground absolutely straight. The washing line is easy to put up and very easy to raise and lower.

Seems fine but needed concrete in it be leaning if not. We would never be able drive spike that far in without hitting stones !
Disappointed arms don’t click into top like old one did. Also my fault Didn’t measure it’s really big .But it’s a great line. Would recommend. Wish it came with a cover! Not sure size to buy. Even if give option if buying at time buying line.
Am very pleased with this item & the soil spear. The airer is the best one I’ve ever had. The installation of the soil spear took a bit of patience & perseverance – digging out the old one first, watering the soil to soften as it’s heavy clay here – it took me a while but I managed to get it in straight & didn’t use any concrete either!

Strong and sturdy - very impressed!
The Brabantia rotary dryer does all that it claims. I was impressed by the quality, it is strongly built and fits securely in the base. Although it took quite some force to hammer into the ground, the dryer does fit firmly and feels secure, the arms spinning freely.
As my wife isn’t very tall, I wondered whether the height of the dryer would be a little too high. However, the settings mean that you can vary the height and adjust quite easily.
We are very satisfied with our purchase, and would recommend highly.

Excellent piece of kit, second one we’ve had, first one lasted 15 years in the wind tunnel we call home. It broke when I took it down while still elevated, being lazy, and then fell over it bending one of the arms.
It comes with a socket to hammer into the ground, I concreted mine in.
Cautiously optimistic it will do the trick
This is a sturdy piece of kit.Had problems forcing the spike into stony hard packed ground.Didnt quite manage last inch or so but still very well secured albeit slightly off centre.Works well especially like being able to change the operating height.Will it last long term? Who knows time will tell.Needs a cover for when not operational.

Don’t know why I didn’t buy one sooner. Well actually, that’s a lie. I thought I couldn’t possible justify the money on a bit of metal to be left outside in the English weather.
How wrong was I? Very. After two, yes two, cheaper alternatives meeting with early graves (in under 6 months), I decided to plump for one of these. Amazing!

Great product shame about the ground spike
The airer itself is great easy to use and well made. It is let down by the ground spike, It is not designed or made strong enough to be driven into the ground. It went out of shape once in the ground and it is now a struggle to put the airer in or take out. Needs to be stronger. The ground was drilled using a masonry SDS drill prior to installation.
Good product, satisfied purchase
Having bought a number of rotary lines throughout the years this one is by far the best and hope it stays as it is for a considerable time. Because it’s sturdy it is rather heavy for a elderly or frail person however that’s the price to pay for a good product so when purchasing the line then purchase the cover and then you don’t have to keep storing it away
No more wash stress.
When it was wash day, most days my wife always could not get the rotary to open. Solution it stays in the open position and always get in the way. The new Brabantia rotary line is so easy to put up and put down. My wife finds it great, and I can get on with my work without the rotary line getting in the way when there are no cloths to dry. Thank you brabantia great design.
Premier washline
We have had some pretty awful wash lines in the past. These are great by comparison. So much so I have purchased this one for my daughter. This one didn’t come with accessories just a stake that is driven into the ground.
Sliding the line up is easier than getting it down. It’s easy to get yourself tangled in the line if you aren’t careful but this is a minor annoyance compared to the benefits. Loads of space and lines are always taught.

Easy to put in ground, easy to erect, The outer couple of line is a little on high side for my petite stature Only 5 ft tall, love the idea that you can have different heights. Would recommend for a taller person.

Works a treat. I replaced the long rope washing line in my garden because I found it hard to tie up when it’s heavy with a big load of washing and the rope always ended up giving me friction burn. This is so much better. Easy to use, convenient and easy to fit into the ground. However, be warned: unless you make sure you knock the ground fitting in completely straight your washing line will forever be wonky. I haven’t got round to adjusting mine so will probably put up with a slightly wonky line forever.
Too large. Measure your space carefully.
Unfortunately this turned out to be too large for my garden so measure carefully before buying. I couldn’t return it because it would’ve cost 30 to send back! I really would like to use it as my sister has one and it is great. I’m now trying to find someone to buy it from me and am looking for a much smaller alternative. My ratings are based on my sister’s one.

Great item best available
Great item works well better than any other. Only down side is installation. You have to cement it in. The spike is useless on it’s own. If you can get it in straight it will bend with washing in the wind. Better to just bite the bullet and cement it in to start with. I learnt the hard way. Purchase it but just know that you have to concrete the post in.

Excellent value for money and very sturdy compared to brands, only negative point as mentioned in other reviews, the base is very hard to get into ground, but once installed base or rotary line are very stable.

Love this clothes drier. It is ideal size. It comes with a spike to Secure in the ground and a cover to keep it clean when not in use. It doesn’t need concreting in but my husband found it hard work getting in the ground. Should last for years though.
Good dryer, bad spike
The spike is a joke, as, unless you have perfect soil, the end is a blunt object and impossible to drive in the ground. Spend over an hour digging out the hole, and ended up use postcrete to fix it.
The dryer is excellent, and easy to erect and collapse. With the cover, it should last many years.

I love this line, it was easy to put up, just put the spike straight into the grass (took some hammering) it goes up really easy. I take it down after use, I am fairly Small but can do this easily. I love that it can be set to different heights and the tie that comes with it to secure it when done. It rotates when it’s really windy id not I go out and give it a spin every now and then. It holds two loads of washing and is wide enough to hold sheets. It took a while to arrive but worth the wait.

This is the best one the market had one for years moved house got another kind can’t believe how stupid I was you only get what you pay for if your quality and a product that lasts get this one the base is solid and the whirly is the same. Very good item
Impressed. Worth the cos
Very impressed with this clothes dryer. As other reviewers suggested I made sure ground was well moistened before creating a “cross” with a spade. Still needed help and sledge hammer to knock in the socket – but it is very firm. Importantly it is really easy to use and adjust to comfortable height. Minor irritation is that the birds keep on pinching the red plastic cover off the socket so I have created a small cage to protect it.
Expensive but well made rotary line
This is an early review, only had this up for 1 day so far. I’ll update on durability as let’s face it, this is pretty expensive for a washing line. I’ve only rated this as 4 stars overall due to price. If the product proves durable over the next few years I’ll upgrade to 5.
We’ve had Addis ones before and generally they go rusty after a couple of years. We live in Wales and with all the rain the poles tend to be the first to rust way at ground level.
This Brabantia came with a ground spike if you needed it. We already have a hole so it was a simple case of putting this one in it. The mechanism for opening up the line was easy and seems really well made and sturdy. The arms are wide and allow for a lot of items to be hung. Nothing massively special about this over a cheaper one apart from it having a thicker more sturdy pole.
Somehow it seems a little shorter than our old one. The pole is much much thicker and hopefully will last longer than ones I’ve bought in the past. Only time will tell. It has a guarantee but hopefully won’t need to use it.
I found it!!
I had one just like this, it’s been in several gardens but had to leave it at the last one because it wouldn’t come out of it’s hole!! This is it’s replacement, exactly the same, certainly stands the test of time. Look after it well and it will give good service, just like my old one that still looked as good as new..

Soil spear is designed to be hammered in, which is great unless you have stony soil. I ended up having to cement mine in. Feels reasonably robust, does not come with a cover, you need to buy that separately
Sturdy, well made rotary line
Absolutely brilliant, one of my better purchases, used it nearly everyday since recieving it. Just what I wanted, with plenty of space for all my washing, it’s strong, sturdy and so easy to take up and down, and also comes with a protective cover, which is so easy to put on as has a handy zip all the way down. Overall very pleased with my Brabantia rotary line and well worth the money.

Just the job!
Our old one broke and so we decided with the reviews to go for this one. Use a sledgehammer and a block of wood to insert the ground spike but once it’s up fab. It holds for us, 3 extra large loads of family washing for 4 and rotates exactly how they should. It’s light, easy to put up and down and I highly recommend purchasing a heavy duty black Brabantia cover to protect it from the sun and rain. Not protecting our old, other banded one meant we had sun damage on the plastic and the line cords frayed.
