Burg Wachter 825C Double Loop Braided Steel Cable
Black – 8mm x 2.5m
The Burg Wachter Double Loop Security Cable is suitable for a multitude of security applications including – home, garden, leisure, commerce etc. It is manufactured from braided steel for increased strength and flexibility. The double loop design enables the user to maximise the length of the cable by clinching (pushing one loop through the other). The swages are extra-large for added strength. It also benefits from a weather resistant vinyl coating which protects against scratching.

Very pleased
Nice and flexibile lightweight cable, the ends slot through each other so easy to use. Just an anti opportunist thief cable really, I’m using it so nobody walks off with the foldable solar panel. Recommended.
Just what I needed.
Bought a lovely reclining outdoor garden chair but I live with a communal garden outside. I needed this so I could go safely to the loo and I come back and my chair is still there.

Strapping bags to motorcycle
Used this to lock some SW motech panniers and a tail bag to my bike. Fitted through the loops perfectly, kind of matches the bike colours – not very noticeable – so I’m really impressed. Weak link is my crappy padlock but I’m not downgrading my review because of that, it’s my problem. Cable itself seems great.

This looks and feels really strong obviously you can cut through it with bolt croppers but if your a burglar and you forgot to bring yours tonight your in for a struggle

Seems good quality need a decent padlock to avoid that being the weak point. Will definitely deter casual criminals

Long enough to secure my garden Funtime. Used this to tie all the prices together but still allowing plenty of slack for movement. Perfect.

I thought self coiling ment that it would spring back to a coil but apparently not. If you need high security I would suggest that you get a thicker cable. I don’t leave the bike for long and at home its indoors so this should be ok for me.

All the answers to this question are talking about a bigger size cable I think. The orange cable end is about 22mm diameter and the loop can be squeezed through a 1inch hole.

Strong and long – in fact slightly too long for job in hand, so tied 2 loose knots which pulled tighter together when attaching padlock and made the correct length for what was required.

I bought this to secure my kayak onto my roof bars and it’s perfect for this purpose.
Little “darlings” like to steal household paper recycling bins from properties, take them up the woods and set fire to them. What sweethearts! It’s happened to multiple people throughout the village on numerous occasions for years.
After frightening one of the angels out of my neighbour’s garden I realised that my paper bin was gone but thankfully I managed to retrieve it.
I firmly believe that if you’re going to do something, do it properly so I have used this chain to link all my household bins together with a padlock and so far so good – my bins have remained on my property.
I can only assume that dragging 4 bins is not quite as easy as taking 1!

Bought to lock bikes together on a car-rack (which it did admirably), Sterling (as I call him) has now found his perfect role – anchoring a trampolene to the garden fence to prevent it blowing away. He’s just as good at this as he was at securing bicycles. Truly a cable of many talents.

Steel cord of extreme quality and great cost benefit, I bought it to secure my bike and use it with a padlock, the cord is big, so much so that you can locked the front and rear wheels at the same time, now I leave my bicycle anywhere and I am be calm. I indicate the product.

Nice length. I use it to secure my trailer to my bike via a D lock which is essential for securing against casual thievery. Not sure it would hold up to a seasoned criminal with bolt cutters though.

Living in the centre of Oxford, and having quick release wheels, means having to make sure they’re locked to the bike when you leave it, for any length of time, I originally used a couple of Masterlock wire locks, but decided that this would be a far better option, and I was right.
It would however benefit from a strap, to keep it coiled when not in use, especially when it’s in a backpack.

I like this but would not leave it unattended, at a station etc. I use it going into shops etc. Its long enough to get both wheels secure and a discus lock fits it. I’m happy with it and have none of the issues others are reporting The loops are secure. I was expecting a lot thicker cable and would be happy to pay for the top thickness one but it’s not on amazon. Still it is good for the purpose I want it for. Its paint friendly and very good value.

Great item, I use this with a d lock on my bike and thread the cable through my wheels aswell. The cable is a great length and gives me extra piece of mind when locking up.

It will deter all but the most determined thieves. Having said that any one with bolt cutters would be through this in a second.

My courtyard is open to public view as it’s got by wrought iron railings along the street edge. I bought this along with a sturdy padlock to secure my garden chair when not in use. I’m so happy with it, the cable is super strong and I think it will be a great deterrent.

It is absolutely inadequate in a serious attempt to steal your bike. But if you want to pop in for a few moments to grab a coffee or buy sth from a convenient store and you need a quick solution to protect all your bike components (front wheel, saddle, rear wheel and frame) in combination with a D-lock, it’s size is good for the job.

Does the job
just an extra measure for the wheels of the bike although it can be cut. It will drive opportunists away though so it does the job.

Perfect length for the item I needed secured. Obviously a thicker cable would give more security but then it would cost more and wouldn’t be as flexible.

Exactly what I needed, I’m leaving the bicycles usually hanging outside my garage, I’ve ordered it just to prevent an easy steal from opportunits passing by.
