The threads that are supposed to be standard American threads (not the hose threads but the regular plumbing threads) are NOT quite right. They fit the house ends that are supplied by the manufacturer, but they DO NOT FIT standard plumbing threads.. they ALMOST for right but not quite. I'm using them anyway, dealing with the drip. I installed this as an instant supply of hot water to an outdoor shower. So it's semi permanent. I plan to take it down in the coldest part of winter. With a bottle of propane hooked up, it supplies PLENTY of water pressure and I had to cut the heat back to keep from getting scalded.. I removed the water saver washer in the shower head for extra pressure and the heater still keeps up more than sufficient. I've had it hooked up for a month. Used it about 6 times. So far, this has been the perfect solution for a low-cost effective hot water solution. The unit does produce quite a bit of exhaust heat. Would not recommend for indoors at all or even a super tight outdoor space. But with clearance, it's no problem. I feel like it was a good choice so far. Will update if anything changes.

I like the unit. The only thing I recommend is for buyers with certain instal requirements be sure to take care and mind that various models and manufacturers of competing units sold on here if you’re replacing one you have mounted a certain way etc .. the battery compartment on this one is on the left .. my previous one was on the right and I had to change some things in my design to fit this one in simply because I didn’t order one that had the battery compartment on the right side like the one I was replacing..
Otherwise the unit works great no complaints and the heat dial is practical adjusting.. I read on some models or reviews complaints it’s easily too hot at very small turns above the minimum gas output.. but not so in my experience with this unit .. it seems to easily adjust up and down to desired various temperatures

Fabulous shower does a great job
Love this product. I use it to wash down my horse as she hates the cold hose. I had to change the gas connection as I couldn’t find a gas bottle for the connector that was supplied to fit any of my existing gas bottles but was easy to swap over. I use it every day and it works amazingly every time.

Great water heate
Really pleased . I use it for dog washing . I have long haired dogs and I have all the hot water I need when we are away in our motorhome. We use it to shower too . Easy to operate and easy to set up .

Once you figure it out, its Amazing!
I live in the middle of the mountains, in a 10x20ft cabin. No bathroom(other than going outside like a bear), no kitchen, etc. So I rigged up a shower station outside with hose and a shower head from my well hydrant; which as you can expect. Being mountain-fed well water, its freezing, which was great during summer. However, now its winter.. and having hot water is almost a Must.
Stumbled across this and after first getting it I wasn’t a big fan, but that’s because of how you have to set it up to work; caused me to lose common sense so I had to backtrack.
Firstly, I forgot the D batteries. DO NOT FORGET THEM. Once setup up and ready to go. You turn your water up and propane wide open. The force of the water is apparently what triggers the striker to ignite the propane and BOOM! It was lukewarm with the propane on Max(both at the tank and on the heater) and I let it run, but was still barely warm. Even cold at some points. Then I remembered that the force of my well-hydrant can actually knock your hand back like high-fiving the wind while driving down the interstate. So there was way too much water pressure. I needed the it at first, but once the propane ignited. I was able to lower the water pressure from my hydrant and turned around to see STEAM!
Well worth the money and I almost feel like a “civilized” human being LOL
Now, just a matter of seeing how it lasts.

Replaced on from the 80’s .. I needed some teflon tape from Home Depot to fit to my water outlet line. The provided inlet adapter and black O rings were good to have. Worth the $ water temp is on the hot side .. spend a few minutes to dial in your desired temp and mark the dial spot with a sharpie. Will buy another one for travel & camping

We have an off grid cabin, and we're using this to heat the water we draw from an IBC water tote outside. We also have the Camplux 12V DC water pump feeding this. Great system! We used a combination of PEX and water supply hoses and it works great!

Easy to hook up. (Use plumbers' teflon tape. Also, I used a longer shower head hose than the one provided.) Instant hot water, good water pressure. I use a 5 pound propane tank. A lot of people don't have a shower this nice in their homes.

The more expensive brand took 5 trips to the hardware store, two months of work, and STILL didn’t work. This brand is on point. And I finally have a hot shower at my homestead after 6 years without!! Hallelujah.
When we received this product, we installed it right away. Everything was so easy. Especially the hand-wand shower head – very convenient to use and the spray of water makes you feel very comfortable. Strongly recommend!

The heater arrived quickly and was easy to install in about half an hour. It connects to a regular garden hose and the same type of propane tank I use for the BBQ. The shower head is fine - has an on/off switch and three spray patterns. The water temperature is nice and hot when the water flow is at the minimum setting. It has an auto shutoff for propane after 15 minutes or so which is good in case the kids ever leave it on by accident. We have used it daily for 3 weeks and I'm really enjoying it. Nice to use after swimming or just to be outside and keep hot humid air out of the house when weather is hot. The propane tank still feels quite heavy/full indicating we haven't used much even with regular use. ... My only slightly negative comment is I wish it could heat the water really hot at a higher flow - if I could do it again I would consider a larger unit.

We use it for an outdoor shower, hooked up to a simple 55 gallon rain barrel. The water comes out nice and hot within 5 seconds. We set the thermostat to less than half of the heat it can produce, so even in freezing temperatures I imagine the water will continue coming out nice and hot.
