This is really easy to use, portable but also great for home use. The amount of food it can cook is easily enough for 4, with perhaps 2 rounds of cooking. It cooks as good as it promises with the moisture staying inside and not drying out the food. The gas cannister and regulator fit and work ok, I have seen a few variable reviews, but ours works fine so far. Cleaning is generally easy, but the tool provided doesn’t quite scrape away all the debris, so i would suggest investing in a better cleaning tool.

Super Teil. Der Grill heizt super schnell auf und grillt auch super schnell. Man mu nur aufpassen das es nicht verbrennt.
Throwing on woodchips (no need to soak) directly to the grill also works super well adding flavoured smoke to your food. So far hickory burgers and sausages will become addictive.
Currently stuck with using the disposable C500 coleman canisters and get about 4 hours of non stop use from them. Waiting for calor to remove restrictions on getting a green patio gas 5kg.
Not had issues with this blowing out as one review had me concerned, used it in breezey winds not full winds though.
No issues with the gas regulator so that again is possibly something thats either been fixed or due to a bad batch.
For 3 days on the week I use this. It brings an amazing flavour profile to meats that gives an outdoor vibe.
Big enough to supply a constant food convoy for 5 people if they all eat in batches 🙂
Also I cannot believe someone complained about the thermometer being squinty. It can be removed to be cleaned and make inside easier to clean and rotates freely until tightened in place.

With wood chips you can get that great BBQ taste you might be worried about losing from going for gas. The ultimate for burgers in my opinion.
This has to be the best gas grill I’ve ever had.
Let the heat crank up to 300+, throw the meat on and close the lid quickly. You get a real good bbq flavour to a steaks, wings, and burgers. Works great with mushrooms and peppers to.
I kind hated gas for so long, had a bunch of grills. None got that bbq flavour until now. Love it.
Complements my smokers. Love steak and wings on this. Smoking a brisket and other large cuts of meats on my other.
I find it easy to clean. After cooking I let it run for about 10 mins to burn off food residue. Then I wipe it down when cool.
As it’s portable, it stores nicely and comes with us when needed.
I prefer using the attachment to large bottles though. The small ones go so fast. You get maybe two sessions out of the small ones.
Solid, burns hot like the sun, even at the lowest setting! If your prepared to turn food swiftly and regularly then this is great. Will not work from caravan or motor home external outlet as needs to run from very high pressure sources and caravan (UK) in line regulator 0.30Mbar is not enough. Seriously fast though, 0-300 degrees C in 4 minutes lol
Great BBQ works well. I read review that said difficulty in the wind I have not found that to be the case and works well.

You need to burn off at high temperature when you first get it then spray oil on grill to get it ready. Top rated.

Great little BBQ, cooks as good as my full size Charbroil infrared, snapped up at 121 and so glad I did, read a lot of comments about the regulators but I haven’t had any issues at all, you can adjust if required by removing the black dot on the top and using an Alen Key, glad I took the chance, can see this lasting for years and getting a lot of use
I am so happy with my purchase. This is my first ever gas bbq and am glad I went for this one. I read most of the reviews and watched YouTube videos before I purchased it and I’m glad I done my research. This bbq is good, cooks really well, the heat it produces is really good and the quality and taste of my food is exceptional. This is definitely money well spent, its well built, easy to clean and super easy to use.

Great little bbq, but a bit disappointed that it arrived with some mechanical damage, despite the packaging been fine.
Obviously a little more care needs to be taken during the construction.
Sat here in the garden after my 5th BBQ using this great little grill. Read a lot of reviews,a lot negative mostly about the regulator and heat control. Firstly this is a infrared grill they are supposed to run hot they are ideal for searing steaks and burgers. Probably not suited to more delicate types of food salmon etc. With the lid closed and no food on the grill the temp will go off the scale in a matter of minutes, but once loaded with steaks burgers etc the temp will come down and cook lovely succulent meat. Clean up is easy if you follow the instructions and let the grease burn off and carbonise after cooking. Also the bag which is sold separately is well worth getting and makes it very easy to transport and keep everything together. For the price its well made grill and I intend to use it whenever I can.

You will not regret it.
The bbq itself is fantastic , Lights immediately in any setting. Really easy to setup. Gas canisters are super easy. Cooks like a dream. Really even heat across the bbq. It is quite big but I think that comes with the territory. You should definitely get the bag as otherwise carrying any distance would be a pain. In the bag it’s easy to sling over a shoulder and it’s not that heavy but it’s awkward without the bag. All in all a great purchase for camping and beach bbqs etc.
Got this after having spent years wrestling with portable charcoal bbqs. TYhis has changed everything. Fires up super easily and quickly, cooks food to perfection and then cools down quickly so it can then be transported home with no fuss. Literally used it 6 times within a month of getting it and still going strong! Highly recommend (and no I haven’t been sponsored to say any of this!)
The product is as described and the construction is solid. I was however disappointed with the fitment of the gas regulator which was too loose when attached and had to modify the fitting to reduce the amount of play.
The gas regulator adjustment seems to have very little variation between minimum and maximum flow, as a result even cooking on the lowest setting results in over-cooking the meat.

The only negative thing I can say about it is that the small gas canisters are difficult to screw on and off and the regulator seems a bit flimsy.

Top quality BBQ only let down by the need for the small screw on gas cannisters…. so I have adapted mine…removed the Char-Broil regulator and attached a pipe directly on to that from a much larger Campingaz cylinder with its regulator… it now works great..and cooks beautifully

With either the brought item or the home made one, the gas safety issue does not go away, as you are still dependent on the char grill to the connection to the burner. I am working on a mod to it to make safe. If I was asked if I would buy this product again, I would say a very definite no. It’s not safe and the manufacturer or importer is being seriously negligent towards its customer base.

This BBQ packs a punch for its very small size. We love that we can use gas canisters and gas bottles. Cooks food to perfection without charring it.
This thing changed my life, I love everything about it!!! Built like a tank, super portable, easy to clean, cooks EVERYTHING like a dream. IV not found anything that comes out bad on the x200. The true infra red technology really works superbly and heats the grill evenly from edge to edge, so that everything comes out perfect. I really can’t rate it enough, IV had it for two months and use it everyday even in the rain. IV had not issues with the regulator or the flame blowing out as some reviews have suggested and IV used it some very windy conditions!!!
The grill itself is fine. However, as noted by a number of others, the regulator is rubbish! Unless you want to buy an alternative valve and hook it up yourself (as I ended up doing), consider another unit.

Ich habe ja den Weber Q100 der ja mal so gar nicht mit dem x200 von char broil zu vergleichen ist . Infrarot hat schon seine Vorteile 1/3 wenige energie, saftiges Fleisch mehr Hitze und dadurch auch schneller gar. Ich kann ihn nur weiter empfehlen .
Absolutely excellent cooking without any flareups. This unit is designed for use with gas bottles I have this in the small camping type .I bought the adapter which turned out only to be suitable for a patio gas bottle. If you want to use it with a Caravan gas outlet point which is already supplied with a regulator you need to bypass the control and remove the second regulator. It’s fortunate that the gas temperature is good for most cooking but it would be better if there was an in-line trap to control the gas flow
First trial run today. Gave it a 30 min run in the morning to get rid of the plastic smell and to see if I could regulate the temperature. I couldn’t get the temp needle off the stop even on lowest gas setting.
Had friends round in evening so we could food test it.
With food on it I could regulate the temp, half power gave about 200 deg C. It does smoke a lot and did flare up a lot with the burgers. 14 sausages, 8 burgers and 8 chicken thighs (finished of on bbq from oven) all took about 20mins in 3 batches.
I did open it a lot to keep an eye on progress. Very successful.
The regulator on mine has a swan neck bend on it (not like the pictures) and the gas bottle sits vertically. A Coleman C500 bottle sits perfectly under it (deliberate design or fluke?)
So in total…Solid construction. I could regulate the temperature, it does smoke a lot, ‘no flare up’ is rubbish and cooks lovely food as quickly as you want it to but not looking forward to cleaning it.
I got it on a prime deal for 104. Not sure if 160 would be a fair price for it though. Happy? Yes. Would I buy again? For 104 I hope I don’t have to. Update: still working. The only thing that broke is the spring retainer on gas valve dial cover so it pings off if not careful. Perfectly safe as not the actual tap for gas flow. Cleaning wise, appreciate the lovely shiny new grill as it will never look like that again. Thankfully it’s a bbq not an ornament so cooking and taste is more important. Basically still very happy. I will try and get the bag on promotion as it does get covered in cobwebs and I have to wrap it in an old towel so camper doesn’t get covered in fa

Ce barbecue conviendrait pour 4 6 personnes facilement.
Attention au point chaud qui fait cuire plus vite que le reste mme brler si on fait pas gaffe, il est au fond gauche pour le mien.

Brilliant we use this for bbqs at home and when we go camping it’s really good and cooks food really well, I would never have a charcoal bbq again after having this there is such a wide variety of food you can cook on this, five stars
I own the larger version of this bbq. I never hesitated to buy this one for my caravan. It cooks the food superbly. I was never good with other bbq’s but I never fail to cook tasty food with Charbroil bbq’s. Buy it, you won’t be disappointed.
This BBQ heats very rapidly and cooks food well whilst using less gas than my previous BBQ. It is very portable and hence can be stored much more easily away from the elements. I have found that if I attach the regulator to the gas supply before attaching to the BBQ there is very little stress on the regulator piping. The BBQ is more than adequate in size to cook for 4 people easily and could probably manage more.
There is nothing to dislike about the Char-Broil X200 Grill2Go; if you have done your research.
“Portable” isn’t the best description of this item; it’s heavy.
It’s a great bit of kit to have for spur of the moment barbecues though!

WHY?
Well the actual cooking area is not much smaller than our 3 burner Gas BBQ…
It cooks really evenly on the stainless steel griddle (Better than our old BBQ)
It works on our big Patio Gas Bottle – but also – on portable gas canisters – so we have used it on picnics and in our Campervan/tent.
Its really easy to clean (the stainless steel griddle pops in the dishwasher no problems for deeper cleans!)
The short legs on the BBQ allow it to be used on a table, and the heat doesn’t transfer below… so we have used it to cook on and then also as an ‘outdoor’ warmer to keep food hot – with the BBQ on a low heat.
We have even cooked PIZZA in the BBQ – and it worked brilliant, with an ‘stone baked’ type taste!
We are well impressed by it..
Cons?
The only thing that I would critique is that you can’t adjust the heat into zones: ie High heat on the left and low heat on the right (This is because it has a single – highly efficient burner ) That said it hasn’t stopped us from using this BBQ as our primary choice – as the heat it creates is very adjustable and consistent across the entire grill – so cooking is far more consistent too…

Managed to buy one of these X200 BBQs at a local store for under 130.00. I was a little unsure about Char-Broil being a fan of an other key manufacturer, but we needed a compact gas BBQ for just the two of us, and for use when on a caravan site. I’m delighted to report that the Char-Broil is worth every penny! Although some users comment on the difficulty experienced when cleaning, rest assured that it is neither difficult nor messy! A gem of a BBQ with good gas control and a large cooking area for at least 4 people. Buy the X200-‘Grill2Go’ with confidence as the unit is very well built!
Great build quality. Blew out easily in wind. I bought the propane adaptor but cut the end off to fit my regulator. It didnt work as theres 2 regulators in line so you must use it with patiogas bottles. I had to send it back as it kept going out in wind and we live on a hill top
Great grill. Works well for us as we don’t have much storage space. Cooks well. Cleaning not terrible. But defiantly not easy. But when is a bbq easy to clean.

bistro worked hot for 2 years, this not even a week and on 3rd gas bottle (other 2 have plenty left but only reaches 100)… fingers crossed on new one

When the grill was delivered, it was damaged and I was disappointed in the build quality so I returned the device and purchased a similar priced competitors grill. It is a shame because I really liked the look and description of this BBQ.

Simple set up. Instant start and fast heating up time with lid closed.
Very impressed with cooking results. Once complete, cools down in less than 20 mins so ready to pack up.
Cleaning fairly strait forward. The Stainless Grill needs a bit of work but follow the instructions, coat with oil before & after and it’s fine. With the carry bag, it is ok for short distances, 2 people can grab a handle each so reasonably portable.

Der Grill ist fr den Campingeinsatz und ist stabil gebaut, dass er durch den Transport nicht kaputt geht. In der Preisklasse nicht selbstverstndlich. Die Hitze ist sehr ordentlich und er wird auch schnell warm. Die Reinigung ist durch die V-frmigen Lamellen etwas schwierig und wrde ich gerne durch eine Guss-Rost ersetzen. Ist eventuell aber durch die Bauform bedingt eine solche Form ntig.

Wanted a small bbq I could bring inside in the winter. This bbq is the best ones I’ve used. If your having a huge party, it may be too small. But it’s not for that purpose. I was able to do 10 burgers and 10 sausages in one go for a small party.

Excellent piece of kit! I bought this because I needed a portable grill for when I’m camping in a few weeks time, but tried it at home first. It takes just a few minutes to unpack and start it up. It cooks very quickly and the meats and veg we cooked, which included wings, steaks, lamb chops and peppers cooked perfectly – meat didn’t dry or burn and in fact cooked through well but was still moist and succulent. This grill heats up quickly which again is just what I want with a portable kit. Wouldn’t step away for too long if you like it cooked medium rare. I also bought a pack of 6 portable Coleman gas bottles at the same time for 20 and I have cooked for me, my wife and 2 kids now on x2 weekends and just about got through the 1st bottle- that’s about 1.75 each time I use it to cook for 4 people, which I think is also great value. Only negative that I experienced using it is that it did kick-out some smoke when I was grilling steaks with the lid down, but made it all the more an authentic experience outdoors and the sear marks on the burgers and taste was worth it. Cooks as expected , taste fab, fast and great build quality, so I’m giving it a 5 star rating.
It’s well built, strong, good size the only pain is cleaning it after I use it lol I use it a lot more than I expected because it’s awesome and cooks really well. The groves in the grill can get blocked with food as you cook but they provide a tool to scrap the food as you go.
For those of you looking to use a full-size cylinder with this barbecue (especially butane), here is some advice on adapters/connections for this barbecue which I discovered through MANY hours of painstaking research trying to find a way to make this barbecue work from a standard full-size butane cylinder (not propane; if you want to use propane you may as well just buy Char Broil’s adapter kit):
Firstly, the included regulator (Char Broil part number 29103224A) has a proprietary outlet which means you are virtually forced to use it. You can’t just shove a gas hose straight into the barbecue itself.
The regulator has an inlet exposing a male EN417 connection, and accepts a female EN417 connection as used on many disposable gas canisters. EN417 is a 7/16″ x 28 UNEF thread. Adapters (barbs) to allow a hose to be connected to this type of connection are practically non-existent and seem to be unavailable for purchase individually; only contained within the kits which Char Broil sells (or Weber in the case of their Grill2Go).
This unit’s regulator operates from high pressure gas, which means it would not work if you tried to feed it gas coming via the low-pressure blue butane or red propane regulators usually seen attached to household cylinders. In that regard, Char Broil’s own patio gas adapter kit is essentially just a propane cylinder adapter (non-regulating) which they’ve attached to a high-pressure hose.
The brass nut at the base of the X200’s regulator can, in fact, be unscrewed using a spanner despite being lightly glued into place. Once removed, the regulator exposes a standard CGA600 screw thread, sometimes known as a “G8” or just “butane” connection. This is the same size as the thread on certain blowtorches which use 400g cylinders of butane or MAP Pro gas. These cylinders do screw on to the modified regulator, but cannot actuually be used because the connection lacks the central pin which would depress the cylinders’ valves and allow gas to flow.
One possible way around this might be to purchase a blowtorch extension hose, i.e. a high-pressure hose with CGA600 connections at each end (one male; one female), as well as a clip-on non-regulating adapter for your cylinder which exposes a CGA600 screw connection (as opposed to normal clip-on regulators which expose a 8mm hose barb), and then connect the cylinder up using these to your modified X200 regulator.
Finally, it’s important to remember to take the utmost of care when dealing with gas appliances, and any modifications should only be done by a qualified professional gas engineer.

The manufacturer is pretty clear on how you can get the most from this portable BBQ. It does need seasoned before use, but shouldn’t you do that anyway? It takes 30 seconds.
We’ve just used this for 5 meals in a row and food cooks quickly and evenly. This BBQ has excellent gas control and requires very little effort to get going.
We also purchased the charbroil grill2go adapter so we could attach 5kg patio gas to this. It’s well worth buying that accessory.
It’s not a budget option but I’m so glad we bought this. It’s amazing.

Great little BBQ. I would, however highly recommend running off a bottle and not the canisters. These are 6 each and last about 2 hrs (440g) compared to a 6 Kg bottle at 20 per refill, do the math- about 80 for same amount of gas. I also found that it blew out often when running on cans and that the flame wasn,t consistent or very powerful. Massive difference for the better when on an lpg bottle.
Very happy with quality and results. Don’t have to clean the grill thoroughly but it is important to clear the little holes in between all the grill or it won’t heat or cook as well. Not a problem once you realise that. Would highly recommend so far and I’ve had 15 bbq in 4 weeks
Klein, kompakt und hei. Perfekts Branding auf Huhn, Rindfleisch und Burgern. Mit etwas bung werden auch Bratwrste etwas ohne gleich zu verbrennen. Einziger Nachteil, bei fettem Fleisch ist der Grill nicht Rauchlos.

Bin von der Verarbeitung und dem Handling positiv berrascht, gerade zu dem Preis.
Der grill wird auch richtig hei, leider etwas zu hei.
Er lsst sich nicht gut runterregeln, langsam garen ist etwas schwierig.

Dafr ist dieser Gasgrill einfach nur perfekt. Die Lieferung ist schnell, der Gasgrill ist bereits vormontiert, der Anschluss einer Gasflasche ist in wenigen Sekunden erledigt, und man kann direkt loslegen.
Der Gasgrill kommt beim ersten anheizen in ca. 7min. auf 300Grad, was mir das Grillen auch spontan ohne groen Aufwand ermglicht. Die kleinen Gasflaschen (separat erhltlich) sind relativ teuer, wenn man aber mal einen Ausflug macht und grillen will perfekt. Und dennoch ist der Verbrauch im Vergleich zu Kohle besser und preiswerter. Wer mag kann sich auch grere Gasflaschen anschlieen, die sind deutlich preiswerter.
Das erste Grillergebnis war phantastisch, bei der hohen Temperatur kann man perfekte saftige Steaks machen. Die Hitzeverteilung ist berall gleichmig. Das Grill-Branding bekommt man in der Pfanne so nicht hin. Es passt recht viel Grillgut auf dem Rost und unseren Pizzastein bekommen wir da auch unter.
Optisch hat der Grill ein cooles Design und bei dem Preis, kriegt man was fr sein Geld.
Ich kann einen Kauf nur empfehlen.

Rumpsteak und Hhnerbrust besser als vom normalen Holzkohlengrill. Dank Guss Haube. Richtiger Feuergrillgeschmack. Herrlich saftig. Keine bertreibung: Das Teil begeistert…jetzt noch etwas ben bei den GarZeiten und der Feineinstellung der Gaszufuhr….aber es war eigentlich schon beim ersten Mal perfekt…us Cowboy Grill Feeling. Perfekte Verarbeitung. Das Teil macht einfach Freude…ca 8 Steaks mit einem Durchgang problemlos. Rost und Abtropfschale knnen in den Geschirrspler. Bin froh das Teil trotz der einen nefativen Rezension bestellt zu haben. Der Geschmack ist um Lichtjahre besser als aus der Pfanne. Msste auf dem Cerankochfeld unter der Dunstabzugshaube eigentlich auch innen funktionieren…offiziell soll man das nicht machen…
Ps. Zu der Rezension.weiter oben das es verbrennt…..Mastab der Gaszufuhr ist der kleine runde Punkt unterhab des Reglers….ja….ist umgekehrt zum deutschen Gasgrill….aber exakt zum Punkt.und dieser Konstruktion. Der Kunde hat also maximal aufgedreht in der Annahme der kleinsten Stufe….Bedienfehler
Die kleinen Kartuschen halten nur etwa zwei eher kurze Grilldurchgnge…ich hab deshalb den Original Adapter Schlauch als Zubehr bestellt sowie eine kleine Alugasflasche beim Baumarkt gekauft. Der Originsl Regler am Grill ist kompatibel und der Anschluss des Schlauches passt an die deutsche Gasflasche. Macht sich nach wenigen Monaten bezahlt. Kartuschen bei mir nur noch im Ausnahmefall fr Auswrtsgrillen.

Took it to Cornwall to have a barbecue outside caravan on holiday.
Cooks great, succulent chicken and great burgers.
Only got to use it the one time, but very happy with the way it all works. I’m using it with the small Coleman bottles and it does not seem to be a gas hog. Easy to control, heats up quickly. Next season going to use it for a whole chicken.

Gr8 little BBQ but quite expensive for what it is. Probably paying for its convenience size ie camping use etc. Cooks food evenly and doesn’t dry out easily/easily….

Der Grill heizt wirklich sehr schnell auf ber 300 Grad hoch. Das Handling ist sehr gut. Dies gilt auch fr die Verarbeitungsqualitt. Die unschn befestigten roten Zierleisten an den Grillbeinen trben diesen Eindruck ein wenig. Die hab ich bereits entfernt.
Wir haben Steak vom Irish Ox gegrillt. Zudem noch Geflgelwrstchen. Beides ist sehr gut gelungen. Nach dem Grillen sollte der Grill noch ein wenig hochgeheizt werden, um die Grillreste leicht entfernen zu knnen. Die Reste zerfallen bei der Power des Grills regelrecht zu Staub.
Was ein wenig merkwrdig ist: Der Drehknopf zum Regulieren des Gasflusses ist nicht wie gewohnt so, dass man rechts hochdreht und links zudreht, sondern umgekehrt. Auch entspricht das nicht der Graphik auf dem Drehregler, denn die ist richtig.
Ich hab lange berlegt, ob dies einen Stern Abzug rechtfertigen wrde. Die Grillergebnisse und das Handling sind einfach klasse, die Power sowieso und die Verarbeitung ist auch sehr gut. Zudem sieht der Grill auch noch super aus. Also belasse ich das bei 5 Sternen.
Ich kann diesen Grill uneingeschrnkt weiterempfehlen. Auf Kohle mchte ich zumindest nicht mehr grillen.

It is a fantastic bit of kit and although initially purchased as a portable BBQ, it might actually have convinced me that I don’t need a Big Green Egg as well!

although as others suggested slightly a bit on the hotter side even on lowest settings, and thus a grill upper shelf be great.
Cooked 2 BBQs already (around an hour each) with one C500 and still has some gas left (because on lowest setting mostly).
Ich habe jetzt bereits dreimal mit dem Grill gegrillt und bin nach wie vor begeistert. Nach knappen 8-10 Minuten ist der Grill auf ber 300 Grad geheizt. Dank seinem Deckelthermometer kann man auch jederzeit leicht und zuverlssig die aktuelle Temperatur ablesen. Mit dem Gasregler lsst sich sehr einfach die Temperatur regulieren und dem Grillgut anpassen.
Steaks werden wie vom Hersteller beschrieben tatschlich saftig und auf den Punkt gegart auch ohne indirekte Grillflche (siehe Bilder). Neben Steaks habe ich auch schon Gemse gegrillt, was ebenfalls perfekt wurde.
Mit seinen 11Kg und den beiden seitlichen Tragegriffen ist der Grill wirklich leicht zu transportieren und dank seiner Grsse auch nach dem Grillen in der Kche oder Abstellraum einfach zu verstauen.
Ich nutze die Einweg Schraub-Gaskartuschen von Coleman. Die Handhabung ist sehr einfach. Die Kartusche mit den Drehgewinde einfach einschrauben und schon kann es los gehen.
Der X200 von Char-Broil ist fr jeden perfekt, der einen Grill fr den Balkon mit wenig Platz oder zum mitnehmen an den See, zum Picknick oder zu Freunden sucht. Ich bin mehr als begeistert von dem Grill und kann ihn jedem der einen kleinen Gasgrill sucht empfehlen.
Preis-Leistung bei diesem Grill ist wirklich Top! Ein echter Gasgrill im Kleinformat.
