- It’s not for the monitor with DisplayPort input, it’s an uni-directional adapter.
- Not work with Fire TV Stick, XBOX etc. Which have HDMI output port.

I use this to connect my laptop to my tv and it works amazingly, i haven’t had a single issue.

Used it to connect my hdmi monitor to my displayport graphics card. Everything works absolutely fine. No issues with picture quality at all.
Ordered wrong item!
I ordered the wrong product by mistake. I was wanting a USB to HDMI adapter, and thought this was one, as it was listed with others that were. Delivery was quick, and it probably is exactly what it says it is – just no use to me!

This ‘BENFEI Dp(Display Port) Male to Hdmi” was a last ditch attempt to get a bit more out of this monitor.
The adapter is made of plastic, unfortuately not like Benfei usual metal finish that i am used to, but its well made and not really essential because its installed at the back of my pc.
After installing this adapter, i set the settings to the my monitor max resolution: 3440×1440 100hz, it worked fine, no flickering at all and best of all, i have saved myself a large amount of money by not needing to buy a new monitor!
So before dumping your monitor, try using other ports if you have a similar problem. thanks for reading.

Working perfectly on my mini pc
It’s perfectly working on my mini pc to 4k tv. I have failed with a few cables and now this one working perfectly.

eeded this cause my HDMI port on motherboard failed and graphics card only had one port for HDMI as both monitors used this I opted for this and well it worked as nice quick fix

Not what I was expecting
This is an adapter not a converter. You can’t use it to plug a Sky box, HDMI port to a PC monitor display port. Of course it fits but no pictures. My fault, I didn’t read the details correctly.

I recently bought a prebuilt PC to replace my 10+ years old desktop, all was well until I realised the graphics card only had 1 HDMI port and 4 Display ports. My current set up consists of two HP monitors that both have HDMI cables.
I needed an adapter to be able to plug in my second monitor but couldn’t due to there only being one port. When looking through amazon at HDMI splitters, which I assumed were what I needed to be able to use my second monitor, I released it wouldn’t solve my issue.
I bought this adaptor, plugged my HDMI cable into the female connector and the Display port male connector into my graphics card and within 0.5seconds my second monitor was working.
Amazing quality, amazing prices and solved my issue in less than a second.
Would recommend it to anyone wanting to connect an HDMI cable to a display port connection. 5/5 would buy again!

Displayport to TV quandary solved
Needed to connect a laptop to a TV. Plugged connector into laptop and HDMI into TV. Job done. Perfect.

Not a good review as I could not get this to work with my monitor on my new Windows 10 laptop. Good quality but not sure I had to change some settings so I bought an HDMI to vga instead which worked first time.

Works as described, I wanted to hook up my TV to my PC so I could play games with a controller sat on my bed but my GPU only has 1 HDMI and 1 DisplayPort. Both my TV and Monitor only support HDMI so I bought this hoping it would work. No problems, I am able to do what I wanted and I can also use the speakers on my TV for my PC. No problems at all

Working well - with a bit of tickering
Works really well. I have 21:9 2560×1080 monitor so in order to get this to work i had to make a custom resolution in nvidia control panel. with CVT as the timing
But on standard 1080p this works perfectly without any tickering

This product is as advertised, it carries both sound and picture at a high quality as a HDMI cable does. Worth getting one of these if you want to dual monitor your PC but you have 1x HDMI port and 1x DisplayPort.

Thought I would warn people in the same position as me.
When it works it is perfect – I had been using it without issue until I changed to a different computer.
The new computer was a Beelink GTR-Pro and the cable doesn’t work at all. The display port is fine as I tested with a DisplayPort compatible monitor.
I’m wondering if it’s to do with the maximum resolution?
Anyway, I’m waiting to hear back from Beelink to see which adaptor they reccomend (they are aware of some incompatibilities).
So yeah would have otherwise given 5 stars.

Purchased 2 of these so that my Wife can use my 2 HDMI screens with her work supplied DELL desktop,.

No sound on Windows 10 to 1080p monitor with headphone socke
No audio for me on Windows 10 to my 1080p monitor with headphones plugged in. Picture is fine. I’m PC savvy and have tried all the different audio inputs etc in Windows but to no avail. I’ve had to order a headphone extension lead to be able plug imy headphones into my motherboard and change the audio playback channel to get sound.
Ediit: I take it all back. The next day the model of my monitor showed correctly in Windows which it didn’t at first, and now there is audio also

This is my second purchase so I can use all 3 outputs on my Graphics card, no obvious loss of quality and unlike other adapters these sit next to eachother nicely without any issues on the back of my PC.

This does convert dp to hdmi but only supports 1080p 60hz NOT 4k in anyway shape or form tried 3 monitors 5 different hdmi cables and all yeild same 1080p only.
Perfect for 1080 no higher resolution though

Does what it says on the tin, however the clip you press to take it out of the graphics card is pretty poor and needs some persuasion to engage, that being said you shouldn’t really need to take it out once it’s in, that aside it’s all good
