Very light and manoeuvrable
We have a steep bank and this is light enough for me to cut both from the top and from the road holding the machine to cut the grass. I deducted 1 star as the wheel could be positioned slightly more prominently to assist with dragging the machine up the bank from the top
Good when it's working as intended
This is my first flymo, ordered because I wanted something small and lightweight for a small back garden. When it is working as it should it is perfect and just what I wanted. I have dropped a star though because as others have mentioned, changing the cutting height requires the entire blade to be removed completely so it’s not a quick thing to do. Also if the grass is long or you are going over uneven ground, the flymo doesn’t hover and becomes very awkward to manoeuvre. On balance, it’s great when it works but not when it doesn’t! I think I’d order a small rotary again when it needs replacing.
Good little mowe
Lightweight and very manoeuvrable.
Had a problem with one side where the push stud kept coming out so that we eventually altered it which means that the handle goes flat instead of staying up but that’s ok.

My new mower – Flymo Turbo Lite 250 Electric Hover Lawn Mower — 1400 W, 25 cm Cutting Width is easy to assemble and very powerful.
I have used it on my overgrown lawn and it cut through everything with ease. The 1,400W motor handled all I through at it including the long weeds. My lawn has many pits and bumps in it but the Flymo just glided through the lot!
Nice long lead fitted and only four fixings to fit the two piece handle. I am past retirement age now so don’t want anything too heavy to handle. This Flymo 250 I found light and easy to handle even over the uneven parts of the lawn. It’s metal blade is very robust even on the most stubborn weeds!
I got this delivered through Amazon so the delivery was super fast. “If I had blinked I would have missed it” fast!

look, this mower is perfect for my small lawn, it would probably be equally as good for bigger lawns but you’ll need more extension lead, inverting this discussion ok .. mowing lawns is difficult particularly if long grass/ wet/ obstacles etc but .. every aspect of the process will probably be more difficult with a bigger mower, this mower has plenty of power, i wish it were completely weightless but that isn’t possible, as it is, it’s probably the lightest and cheapest mower there is but most importantly i like it very much

It is easy to assemble, light to move around and is thus perfect for a small lawn. It can hang on the wall but folded it takes up very little space in a shed or garage.

great little mower. have had several and could never heighten or lower the cutting blade. this is so easy and safe with the tools provided and easy to clean and store. I bought a separate bag for mine but it stores quite nicely and compactly and does a great mowing job
Thought it would be more ‘hoverery’ but did the job! We had sewn the grass and it had grown seriously long hence the need for a lawnmower. This tackled it with only a little more effort than I thought. Now it’s short it’s a doddle. Took the grey matter time to put together but all in all I’m very pleased with it!

Needed a lightweight mower to replace our original Flymo which is a bit heavy for us now. This new one is ideal for our back garden, adjusted it to highest setting for first cut then adjusted to the lowest setting and does the job perfectly. Very easy to use and manovere and ideal for us now we are getting older.

Ideal for the smaller garde
Works well and cuts grass. Does not have a grass collector so leaves grass to mulch on your lawn. This means no collecting and raking up grass; however, wear wellies as you will get grass clippings thrown all over your feet/ lower legs.

Poor cut but blame the blade
Very disappointed in the cut of the grass, only had the mower for a month and the blade is in really poor condition already my grass plot is 2mts x 4mtrs so it has only been cut about 4/5 times. The blade is very poor quality
Pleasantly surprised
Wasn’t expecting much from this but pleasantly surprised. Only have a small grass verge to cut as the council have pretty much given up cutting the grass now so didn’t want to spend a fortune. Despite the grass being long and full of thick weeds it cut through no problem. The folding handle is a bit of a poor design but other than that all good.

Cuts very well and easy to manoeuvre. Grass flies everywhere after cutting though.
This mower cuts the grass very well. It’s my own fault for not realising but there’s obviously no way to catch the grass and it flies around the yard and paths a LOT. You have to sweep up afterwards which takes quite a while. Other than that, it’s lightweight, easy to manoeuvre and the different grass level settings are easy to adjust. I put all 3 extender pieces on and that’s the amount needed for a nice short cut.

My garden is a lumpy jungle. I was told that I would need a professional to take the whole day with a strimmer. I can’t believe that this lawnmower did the whole job. I just made sure I cleaned it regularly as I was using it. No problems at all. I don’t know what they’re talking about saying it doesn’t fold up easily it folds up really easily and is a really easy size to store away. It does a big job for such a little mowe

A fantastic lightweight lawnmower that was extremely easy to assemble and came with concise assembly instructions. Very quick and easy to use even on longer length grass. It has a cut out system that kicks in immediately if you mow over a stone, and cuts out immediately making it very safe to use. It is light yo carry and easy to clean and store away. Very good value for money

As you would expect from Flymo great product easy to assemble and even easier to use. Excellent for small gardens glides with ease and gives an even cut.
If you have a small lawn and need something that does not take much space, and you want to cut your grass neatly then this mower works very well. Suprisingly powerful. 4 instead of 5 stars for two reasons, the air intake (needed for the mower to hover) quickly fills up with grass cuttings and you need to clean it (easy) regularly otherwise the mower no longer glides across the grass. Adjusting the cutting height is not simple. You have to remove the blade and add spacers. The tool you get for this is plastic and does not feel all that high quality. Also it is a real pain to have to remove the blade to adjuts the cutting height, however rarely you may want to do that.

Best thing is it has a couple of screws i can loosen to fold the handle so it fits nicely in my garden storage box. Works well on my uneven lawn too.

Easy to assemble. VERY effective at cutting grass and even some soft stemmed weeds. The fact that you have to rake afterwards is a pain but its a perfect cost effective option for a small lawn.

A great little machine for a small lawn. It’s quite a flimsy little mower but it does the job on rough lawns; it would be no good for the ‘pride and joy’ type stripey lawn! Easy to use, easy to clean, cheap and cheerful!

A nice and light mower, I was able to cut the grass without it straining my back, only downside is that you have to hold the handle down or it cuts off

Cuts the grass well due to metal rotor. Lightweight with metal roller. Only 4 stars because it takes a long time to clean . Need an old toothbrush to remove clippings always stuck and wedged in holes underneath.

We have a small garden so this ‘Flymo Turbo’ seemed just the job for us! We are very pleased with it – it’s small, very lightweight and folds-up neatly. We have ours hanging up in the garage so very accessible – all-in-all – it makes very light work of moving the lawn and definitely worth Five Stars – Great Little Mower!

Good Lawn Mowe
Assembling the system is easy. It can be set up and get it working within 10-15 minutes. It does not collect the grass. That needs to be done separately. It does cut the grass properly. I did not face any problem so far.

I found it heavier than I expected maybe that’s just me. Not as easy to manoeuvre as expected especially if grass isn’t even my garden is a little bumpy in places

Great little lawnmower, for the price it’s awesome. Easy to assemble just shreds everything with those solid metal blades. Make sure you clean the vents after each job to not clog it up. Buy an edge trimmer to get in the corners and you’re sorted!

Sad to see it go. But this new flymo is much lighter, it glides around the grass like a hovercraft and cuts the grass and any random twigs/sticks with ease. Now that I have a light weight mower, I can get the kiddies to cut the grass instead while I paint the walls with lipstick and flush unwanted toys down the toile

Perfect for small gardens
I just needed something small and light to cut the back lawn. This fits the bill nicely. Very easy to manoeuvre, and no grass box to empty makes it a breeze to use. I found it quite easy to put together, and it comes with a tool to adjust the cutting height. Worth the price.
I underestimated the size of my newly acquired garden so I can’t blame flymo for that – having said that I’m limited on storage space so I’m in a catch 22 situation.
The mower itself works – it cuts and it’s keeping my lawns as tidy as my next door neighbours (with his fancy petrol mower).
Assembly instructions weren’t the best and even though the only assembly is the two part handle, you want to get it right – I didn’t the first time and one of my plastic bolts fell out and almost got itself mowed.
I had trouble lowering the handle for storage and then to my horror realised you literally have to bend over and squeeze the lower handles in toward the body of the mower – not easy when you’re barely 5 foot tall and lacking in upper body strength at the best of times.
Another problem with the mower (or with it being too small for my lawns) is that the vents get clogged every 10 minutes or so and it stops ‘hovering’ until I brush them out – I didn’t realise this was the problem until I read the manual.
The blade height adjustment works well – I was worried about having to handle the blade while doing this but the blade isn’t sharp – I think a sharper blade would be better actually, but then I’m sure it would not have passed ‘health and safety’.
All in all a decent mower for the price – if you have a very small garden.
Ease of use.
For my own personal choice it could have done with an extra spacer to get a really short cut.
Does the job!
This mower does a good job, although it does not cut as short and as uniformly as my previous mower (a Qualcast easylite). This may be because the mowing season has only just started, and regular mowing will probably give better results. The mower is light and very easy to use.
