Solid product with a nice thick hosepipe wh ih woukd withstand splitting and kinking
Can’t go wrong with hoselock. Had all the connections needed and good sturdy product. The hose pipe is really thick so less chance of splits and leaks occurring and easy to unroll and reroll and put away.
I wish now I had gone for the 30m rather than the 15m as for about 5 extra you get double the amount of hose which woukd have come in handy.
Hozelock reel with hose.
I used the hose for the first time this weekend. Excellent met my needs perfectly. Out tap is about 20 meters from where we need to use the hose attached to our pressure washer.
I would recommend purchase.

Anyone with half a brain could put it together (there is hardly anything to assemble), the plastic is high quality as is the hose. Comes with all the fittings required. Maybe Hozelock have improved the item since those negative reviews – I don’t know.

Affortable and good quality reel
Great product at a great price. Does exactly what I bought it for and so far very sturdy – no water leaks too. I looked at other products when I bought this but this was the one that fitted my budget and i dont regret buying it. Would reccomend.

Good hose reel, bright and tidy
I had to get help to put this together and my friend done it quickly but I pointed out something was missed so he went and put it in. The instructions are just photos. Not too clear. Once together it is nice and compact, tidy and does the job.

Great hose which reaches a round my garden. Easy to set up as all fiddly bits had already been assembled and easy to roll back up for storage.
Good hose, the reel is nice – compact and light, winds nicely BUT – I hadn’t realised (though it is stated) that this is 12.5mm hose which is on the smaller side, which means flow isn’t as good as my old hose. Basically, hooked this up to my garden irrigation system and had poor flow through the irrigation to the point where it’s unusable. This may be worsened by the inclusion of the spring inside the hose at the origin to prevent kinking – haven’t tried removing yet. So, if maximum flow is important, you may be better with a 13-15mm hose as this definitely impedes maximum water flow…. Poiseuille’s law shows that resistance to flow is proportional to the 4th power of radius, so small changes in radius of the pipe have a big impact on flow resistance….
Just bear in mind it's quite small bore!!

Good Solid Constructio
All plastic reel is lightweight & well constructed. Good coupling points for in pipe & stowing for storage.
Actual hosepipe is of good quality too.

I can safely say that this is the best garden hose that I have owned.
A real work ou
Hose itself is good standard and attachments are easy to fit and work, but boy is this a chore to move about or wind up afterwards. If you can afford it, better to purchase a wall mounted version/ portable hose on wheels with a larger crank to reel hose back after use.

This is second one purchased. We already have the 50M version for garden and bought this one for front of house

Wall Mountings
While I am pleased with the hose it is not easy to secure to rpthe wall while not in use. Although it hooks unto 3 50mm screws (not supplied) it has to be disconnected from the short supply hose otherwise it will not attach and it cannot be unreeled while on the wall as once the weight of the hose begins to lessen there is not enough weight in the fitting to keep it steady and secure. I would therefore recommend the more expensive version with proper wall mountings to other customers.
Works well.
Arrived promptly. There are a few things to assemble (Tip: Watch the Hozelock Reel assembly video on Youtube first). All pretty straight forward though. Well made and does the job! Would recommend.
Great hoze
First up – delivery was a week early. Bonus.
This is a like-for-like replacement of a Hozelock reel that I’ve had for at least 15 years so confident it will last. It was beginning to show its age though and recently had to cut off split sections so was starting to get shorter than I need. It’s still fine as an extension though. This is a bit more discrete colour than my old bright yellow hose on green reel, so looks better left out but time will tell if that means I keep tripping over it!
The only other difference between them is that the tap connection hose now clicks on to the reel with a connector rather than permanently linked which means it will be easier to connect the second hose to it.
Easy to assembly – I managed it fine without having to bother with undoing the screws. No leaks. Just take the whole hose off to get the parts.

Very good hose, easy to assemble and light to roll again.
When I don’t open too much, because I don’t want too much pressure, it leaks a little.
Otherwise, the product is very good, good seller and good price!
Nice light hose reel
Nice long hose, easy to assemble with common sense. No twists or kinks in the hose if you unroll it properly first.
Lightweight plastic real so easy for everyone to handle. If it’s a replacement for one already attached to the tap then just cut that to the required length and attached the connector.

Light reel easy to rewind
The reel is easy enough to assemble, and very light and easy to manoeuvre. With my old reel rewinding had become a struggle. This rewind has a very smooth action, also helped by the hose itself being so supple.
Lovely strong hose
I love Hozelock hoses , I have had other ones in the past but they kink and split. This one is strong, easy to set up, doesn’t kink and the connectors are quick to fit on. My last Hozelock lasted for years, not cheap but well worth the little bit extra.
Great compact reel!
Brought this for my Mum, had to follow instructions to set up which was a little fiddly. But the product works perfectly and is very easy for her to move around the garden, the reel is great for easy storage so no trip hazards, she is very happy with no leaks on this new reel. Great product!!

Easy to assemble, very compact, looks tough. Easy to use. Much better than the expandable ones and has much longer warranty. Also you can use the full length straight away, no need to wait for the hose to fill up like with the expandables if you want to reach something further away, then these blow or retract after the pressure falls. Really happy with purchase

As with the connecting hose purchased at the same time, good quality product as one would expect from this brand, but woeful assembly, fittings leak and blow off on first use! Come on Hozelock, why spoil a great product with Mickey Mouse assembly practice? Response appreciated but not expected?

Very fiddly to assemble avoid if no good at DIY
Could not have assembled on my own.
Had to get a man to do it for me and it took him a long time, he’s in the building trade but found this confusing.
Works well when assembled.
Great value, but poor hose to reel joint.
Hose to reel joint extremely difficult to achieve a leak free joint.
Pity it doesn’t come assembled with a good quality joint. I got it to just a drip, but it does mean you can’t leave it turned on at tap for even a short period of time. Other than that all else is great quality.
Keeps your hose nice and nea
Bought to replace an old hose which was a mess and was wrapped around the outside tap. This keeps everything in a much neater, more manageable way which we don’t have to wrestle with every time we go to use it,.
Wasn't a wall hosepipe as Advert suggested
It was only when it arrived and I’d put it all together I realised the one I had ordered wasn’t wall mountable. Once I re read the advert it did say in the small print but, I hadn’t noticed as I had searched for a wall mountable hosepipe and this was on the top of the list. As a reccomended product. But the hose pipe itself is fine. Just not what I wanted.
Good quality
Good quality hozelock. Seems to resist kinking. Could do with a guide rail of sorts when reeling back in – hose tends to jump of reel unless you have one hand on the hose guiding it back.
after 4 years use
Been using this product for over 4 yrs now, yes outdoor all the time, still working fine! needs to be taken care of as it might get twisted easily overall good quality.
Terrible reel
Once it was unsealed to use it was impossible to get back on the real..nearly got chucked in the bin to be honest but it works fine regardless of the wheel..just piled in a big mess now though without the reel..a lot of patience needed for this one
Needed help to put togethe
Hose is great but I found it awkward to put together & had eventually to ask a neighbour. It can be installed on the wall but I haven’t bothered. Didn’t want to give the neighbour more work

Great! Does the job, neat and tidy. Good value too! Come with every part you need to get set up. Would like to get a sprinkle head as this isn’t included (but also wouldn’t have been expected)
Should have bought years ago
I am an elderly lady so had to get friend to assemble the hose he found it easy to do ,it is so easy to pull out and coil back in ,I can pull it through to front of house to clean my front path ,it is ideal for front and back of house

Excellent hose reel. Compact and no problems using it at all. Hand that we could cut the hose in two to make it suit our needs (first floor flat without outside tap). Came with all attachments needed.

Cracking item, useful and exceptionally easy to use. Quality hose and reel. Can be bolted to the wall or free standing. Has hose clips as well for keep the reel tidy and to stop unrolling. Very light as well.

We chose an open reel as the closed ones are a bit heavier to lug around, and chose the length of hose so it would be just enough, again so we didn’t need to lug extra weight around. Comes with standard Hoselock fittings.
Attaching the hose to the reel on initial assembly seemed more fiddly than it should be, plus they supply a long spring which is supposed to go at the start of the hose, presumably to stop it kinking but it interferes with making a nice watertight connection, If you’re careful not to kink the hose you can miss out the spring bit.
Quality at best value price.
Simple to assemble and the length of hose is ideal (for my purposes anyway) and just turning a handle to reel the hose after use couldn’t be better. Thoroughly recommend it.
Better than negative reviews sugges
I wasn’t sure what I’d get having read negative reviews saying that it leaked, was impossible to assemble, was too short and kinked easily.
However, I’m pleased with the hose. It comes with all the parts you need and is easy to assemble, though it’s true that the instructions are really unclear (watch the online video). Mine doesn’t leak and is the length advertised, and though it kinks it’s no worse than my old bog standard hose so I’m happy with it.

When assembling I couldn’t understand what the spring hook was for ( still don’t). Now it is together I am very pleased with it. Reaches front and back gardens from one tap. Great.

This is a super easy hose and reel, very easy to setup and use, I love it. It has an amazing reach and I can sort my garden in no time at all including putting it away. It took a while to figure out the best way to wind it back it, and now all done in under 10 seconds.

A quality product at a competitive price. Easy to set up and use. The manufacturer applied (in excessive quantity) some sort of white lubricant or preservative (?) on some of the hose reel connection points which needed to be thoroughly cleaned out prior to first use

Great Hose for the price.
I used this to connect to a pressure washer for my car but have also used it just as a hose. Comes with everything you need (except a screwdriver). Instructions were useless however they have a video on YouTube that is easy to follow and had the hose ready to use in around 15mins. The hozelocks work extremely well. I have an old outside tap and it locked easily and had no problems. This hose kinks really easily so be careful.
Overall a great product for the price but needs better instructions!

I love this product. I bought one 16 years ago at my previous house and it was great. Regrettably I forgot to bring it with me but didn’t hesitate to buy the same one again. Fixing to the wall is a bit tricky if your not great at DIY.
Happy with this. Does what the instructions say. Buy an adjustable hand spray. We find the one supplied too harsh

Lazy company you have to assemble the hose to the unit, but how many of you have silicon grease to reassemble when you have it all over your hands putting it together & no little sachet of grease disgraceful !!. this is the bearing it will run on for it’s life, lazy Hozelock

This set contains a long hose, the hose stand, an adjustable nozzle end and enough fittings to assemble it all together. You will need to snip an appropriate length (instructions recomended 1.5m) off the main hose with scissors to serve as the connection from the tap and the hose stand. All fittings are tightened up by hand after pushing the hose in as far as possible and the whole thing took me about 10 minutes to assemble. Ensure all fittings are very tight to prevent leaks!. Another thing that isn’t specified is the red aqua-stop fitting (one that’s different from the rest) goes at the business end of the hose, the end that you plug the nozzle into. This prevents water spraying everywhere if it becomes detached for any reason and allows you to change attachments without draining the hose, but also means you have to have the nozzle attached for water to come out the end, if this matters to you…

Plastic seems sturdy enough, connectors are of good quality, hose itself is not a heavy duty kind but should stuffy for household purpose and there is unexpected extra for which I would add 6th star but at the same time I have to take away 2 stars for something else. Balance is 4 stars.

Excellent quality but such poor instructions.. they made no sense, could hardly read them. In the end I found a video on YouTube which went through each step.
I only have a short garden so this hose is perfect for my needs. It feels very easy to use, plastics feel a little flimsey, I might have to handle the hose and wind it back with care. Instructions are completely useless. Whoever came up with the pictures needs to be sacked. But it doesn’t take long to work out how it all goes together. Tested it out and no leaks so far.

Awesomeness, pure awesomeness!!! But it is what I have come to expect from hozelock products. Nothing ever goes wrong! Solid item, awesome product! I would actually like to speak to there customers service to see if it’s as good as there products……but I have never had anything go wrong 🙂
Very good value for money hose – my only complaint is that the base needs to be heavier as when you’re trying to pull that last 5metres of hose from the reel, the whole unit moves so you need to go back to it to untangle and unroll the last few metres of hose.
Hose Reel 25m
Follow instructions to assemble. The hose is quite flexible and easy to wind onto reel. If you are not fitting to a threaded outside tap you will need an adaptor to connect to your internal mixer tap but all other fittings are supplied. If you want you can fit a Multi head gun instead of the nozzle fitting supplied.
Bought this recently to use in our garden.
With help from fellow reviewers and the quality & a’s I was able to assemble the hose quite quickly (it has to be unwound completely and fitted back on before use)
Once this was done the hose was ready to use straight away. It comes with a couple of different sized connectors, the bigger of which fitted straight onto our outdoor tap.
I bought this to replace a very light and flexible extending hose. Unfortunately, supporting connectors were not watertight and everything, including me, in the vicinity got soaked. By contrast, the Hozelock is heavier and less flexible. But, it works as hose pipes should and it delivers water as it is required without drenching the operator.
Based on my experience and on comments from others, I will stick with the “old” technology”.
One final comment, I had to report to Hozelock about a missing part. The Call Centre apologised and despatched the missing tab nut immediately. I commend the company for this.

I like this product. I’ve had those expandable hoses previously and they all bursts with time. This pipe is decent so far. It had kinked once or twice but it straightened out with one flick and left no marks. The reel works well and the nosel provides several spray functions. Fair price for a decent product.
The reel handle is small and clumsy but if it had been slightly larger I would have awarded 5 stars.
I was in the market for a new hosepipe and having purchased Hozelock products before and having been delighted with both the build quality and the performance of those purchased items, I chose this brand once again. I also liked the look of the hosepipe and liked the green and yellow colouring. It also looked like it would be very durable and give many years of service before needing replacement.
It arrived with all the hose attachments in a small clear plastic bag that was taped to the unit. Also, an instruction booklet was in there which provides step by step instructions in the form of pictures!
There is quite a bit of work involved to get it all up and working as a hosepipe and the whole procedure took us both about 10 minutes that was all. We had to cut off 1 1/2 metres of pipe to use as the connector to the outside tap from the unit and I merely cut that with some basic kitchen scissors, it wasn’t hard to cut through the tubing. I then had to install a spring and attach various bits and pieces, its all there on the instruction leaflet. I would have preferred written instructions rather than pictures though, but that is more of a personal preference not an annoyance with the product.
It is simply superb for washing the car, the powerful jet stream of water that it emits easily compares to the jet wash I used to go to when I lived near a city. Now I am living rural and it may be due to the high pressure of the outside tap which is attached to the mains water, but its powerful! It has two jets, one a single stream and one a spray – both powerful and fit for purpose for washing cars, watering gardens, whatever.
He just washed the car, I used the new hosepipe to rinse it off – teamwork! I got the best job, I felt like a fireman with my powerful hose and had much fun washing my car off for far too long, much longer than was needed to remove all the soap suds. I like this hosepipe, I suffered no kinks and I was all over the place moving around and bending up and down rinsing off under those wheel arches etc. and the hose just went along with my needs perfectly.
Excellent quality, easy to unwrap, easy to put together, easy to use, powerful adjustable spray and you can even stop the flow of water without needing to return to the tap to turn it off, if you just want a break from saturating whatever you are saturating.
Excellent. I am extremely happy with my purchase and highly recommend it, excellent value for money!
Works Well
Having purchased a few cheaper garden hoses recently we found they often simply fell apart within days so we were understandably initially reluctant to pay more at first. Although it was very slow to arrive due to a series of Amazon problems, it works rather well. The pressure is noticeably better and it seems robust enough to last. The only I have noticed is that the end of the actually hose pipe that joins the end connector has come out a couple of times and now has white stress marks which I’ll keep an eye on, other than that its great.
Reasonable value for money.
My 4 star rating is based on value for money. It’s a reasonable product for the money. You have to put some bits together and that’s all self explanatory. I’ve had one of these in the past and the rotation mechanism jams from ingress of grit and dirt and after two years of sunlight it became brittle and bits easily snap off. Looking at my new delivery the design seems exactly the same as over previous years and I fully expect the same issues – but it’s only 26. So,keep,it in context.
Free-standing hose reel with 25 metres of decent quality plastic 1/2 inch hose that is quite flexible and easy to wind/unwind. Some self-assembly required to use the reel to its full potential, which is pretty straighforward. Kit comes with a threaded tap fitting and adaptor if you don’t already have one on your outside tap, and an ‘auto-stop’ push-lock connector for the business end of the hose, that stops the flow if there is no nozzle or spray attachment fitted – great idea that saves you going back to the tap to turn it off if you want to change attachments mid job.
The hose attaches to the reel by means of a fitting in the hub (you have to lever the plastic hub plate off with a screwdriver to get to it) and there is a long spring that fits inside the hose at this junction to prevent kinks when in use, and ensures a good flow even if the hose is only partly unwound.
In addition there are two push-lock fittings supplied for you to make a connection from your tap to the reel – of course you will need to sacrifice some of your hose to make this, alternatively spend a few quid more to get one ready made (I did)
So, it works well, no leaks, good length of hose for the garden and washing the car, and good value for money – I’m very pleased with this
I was concerned about talk of having to install springs, and cutting hose… but needing a new hose I bit the bullet.
I was concerned about nothing, 5 minute assembly, literally…. easy peasy.
Took the advice of other reviewers and watched the Hozelock self assembly video’s online – glad I did. As others have commented the self assembly diagrams which come with the unit are not the clearest – obvious what they mean after watching the video, not so before.
Assembly involves
i) removing the hose from the reel
ii) deciding which way (clockwise or anti clockwise) you want to wind the hose and feeding the pipe through the appropraite slot after making the decision
iii) Remove the centre plate in the reel, and undo 2 screws holding a nozzle in place.
iv) Clip the spring into the centre of this nozzle, then feed the hose over the spring and onto the nozzle before securing it with a hand tight screw.
v) Put the nozzle back in place and put the 2 screws back in place to hold it.
vi) Put the centre plate back in place and wind the hose on the reel.
vii) Cut off about 1.5 m of hose tio make the feeder hose. Apply the hozelock connectors to both ends and clip one into the nozzle in the centre of the reel on the other side from the centre plate.
viii) Put screw thread connector onto your garden tap, clip the hozelock connector over it and off you go.
If you want to connect to a kitchen tap – another adaptor will be needed.
Really really simple. Works fine – if you want a hose this is a good deal.
After recently purchasing a pressure washer, I required a hose pipe to compliment. Having researched online, I looked originally at cheaper ebay alternatives but soon came to conclusion, it was worth paying that little bit more for this quality hose pipe. I’ve not been disappointed Amazon was the cheapest seller I found online and certainly far cheaper than any high street shop. Having looked at many large retailers including B&Q and Sainsbury’s and then small local retailers, the cheapest found was 29 and that included a 15m hose pipe. So to get a 25m hose pipe and all connections for 23.19 is a great price, if you price up everything individually you’d spend almost 15 on the connectors alone, without any pipe of reel. So well done to Amazon for providing a great service, delivery and product as always.
The hose is very easy to setup with the instructions provided and also has some great online ‘youtube’ videos to guide. The hose pipe works perfectly with my Nilfisk 120 bar pressure washer and the connectors are great quality and make using a pleasure.

On the advice of reviews here, I watched the Hozelock assembly videos while waiting for mine to arrive. Assembly was easy after that (I discarded the printed instructions without looking at them). We used the hose for the first time today, after waiting for an additional connector to arrive. I understand that many people have garden taps, but we do not. This hose “with connectors” doesn’t come with any connector to connect it to a standard kitchen tap and I had to order one separately. This cost less than 4 from a well known auction site, but it would have been handy to have had it included so that we could have used the hose straight away.
So far it seems to be working okay – no leaks, easy to use, and better water pressure than we were getting from our old hose. The quality of the unit is probably what you’d expect for the price. The only real issues are that the reel assembly is very lightweight which makes it tricky to wind the hose back up after using it (especially as you’re trying to “layer” the hose), and you need to watch out for kinks. Nevertheless, it’s better in every way than the bodge job hosepipe we were using before.
Quality you'd expec
Bought hozleock as thought best quality, and it’s been great. Have had other hoses that just leak, go brittle and are just horrible to use – this little baby (which I’ve had about a year now) is fab – no leakages, nie and supple, reel works fine. Only thing I’d say is it’s quite difficult to hold the reel still whilst you wind on and guide the hose on – so I stand on one of the feet which seems to work.
We made the mistake of buying a cheap own brand B+Q one the other day – let’s just say we used it once and took it bakc to B+Q!
Good, but some Self Assembly required !!
Some products due to their nature you expect to self assemble. For example a chest of drawers or a desk is unlikely to be delivered fully built, however I expected this hose to be assembled. The instructions are on some thin poor quality piece of paper and are way more complicated than they need to be. I can appreciate that Hozelock are trying to keep costs down [and make a profit], but it should state that there is some self assembly required.
Once assembled, this product does work quite well and the connectors are of the usual good quality Hozelock standard, hence a 4 star rating.

Before the product may be used, it is necessary to cut off a short length of the hose, fit a spring, then a connector at one end and thread it into the reel at the other. It is also necessary to thread the remaining hose onto the reel and fit another connector to the opposite end. Only then may the hose be attached to a tap and to a nozzle. This takes a few minutes to do, but provided it is done carefully, there should be no leaks.
Once set up, using the hose thereafter is simple. To attach a connector to a tap or nozzle, simply retract the collar of the connector, then slot in the desired item into the central aperture of the connector. To remove the item once finished, again retract the connector, then withdraw the item.
The hose itself is of medium weight. It is sufficiently reinforced that it does not retain its shape if put under anything other than light pressure, but will regains its shape provided the such compression is only brief. It is capable of kinking, so must be wound onto and unwound from the reel with care.
The plastic reel is light, sturdy and weatherproof. The entire hose loads onto the spindle within the limits of the flanges either side to yield a compact, securely stored hose when not in use.

Great overall...very slight improvements can be made.
Overall this is an extremely well designed and built product. It is surprisingly light when not in use and is easy to carry around. The mechanisms all work really well.
The only niggle is where the main part of the hose connects to the reel to enable the rotation of the reel while connected. Winding the hose onto the reel exerts pressure on the water connector in the centre of the reel. I am afraid that winding the hose too tightly onto the reel will break off the plastic connector. However winding the hose loosely on the reel will prevent this. Probably this will be revised in the next model.
