Useful but not perfec
I hate cleaning windows – it takes me a long time and I always end up with streaks, however hard I try. I bought a Karcher after reading so many rave reviews that all mentioned ‘streak-free cleaning’. Well, I haven’t achieved totally streak-free cleaning, though I’m prepared to accept that I may not have got the technique quite right! I find the Karcher useful, and it makes cleaning windows quicker and less tedious, but it is not a miracle device. It is basically a vacuum that sucks up excess soapy water. It will not get rid of any sticky, dirty marks on the window – I have to do that first, with a cloth. The head of the device is fixed and very wide, and so it is no use for small panes of glass. It is also not possible for me to get right down to the bottom edge of my window panes near the sill, so that part of the window needs to be finished of with a cloth anyway. I do think this device is expensive for what it is, and I notice that the prices of spare parts are very high (in my view). It comes with a two-year warranty and when that runs out, if the device fails I won’t buy spares for it. So… Is it useful? Yes. Is it easy to operate? Yes – there isn’t much to it, it is straightforward. Does it make cleaning windows easier? Yes. Does it make cleaning windows quicker? Yes – it helps a lot. Is it streak free? Not quite (at least for me!) Is it suitable for every window type and shape? No. Is it worth the money? Sort of – it is pricey for what it is, but I don’t regret buying it. (I know that a lot of people use the Karcher for cleaning showers, tiles etc, getting rid of condensation and so on, so I do accept it has these other uses. I just got it to clean windows, so my comments are limited to that.)

Bought to replace old machine. Last one was top of range (on special offer) with lots of extra bits I never used.
So went for this basic model
Pro: lighter smaller machine so easier to use. Water collection compartment much much easier to empty and dry out between uses.
Cons: last model had three lights which disappeared one by one to let you know when battery being depleted. This one only has single light so I can’t figure out how to know when battery draining – bit of a pain if you run out of suction half way thru task. I just top up battery weekly to prevent this

Replacement for old one where the battery had died
Purchased to replace an old one that the battery had stopped recharging. Just hope this battery holds out.
However the actual machine is nowhere near as sturdy as one old one. Albeit lighter and therefore easy to use but don’t hold out much hope that it will last as long as the old one, which is still in excellent condition just the battery has died.
Can be used on any glass surface easily
It was relatively easy to use after a few trial runs and is quite efficient, I am satisfied with the item

Used for cleaning inside windows. Works very well and leaves the glass smudge free. Not yet tried on curved car windows.

Have suffered with condensation, especially in bedrooms, over winter. This is so easy to use and does the job most efficiently. Was wiping down windows every morning, this takes half the time. Will be using when cleaning windows and bathroom too. Would recommend.
Life Changer!
Brilliant idea we use to get condensation off windows rather than to clean the windows. Could probably be used to dry a car or any other smooth surface. Quality made and the battery lasts ages. Only slight gripe is the waste bottle does not hold a huge amount of liquid. One pass on the window and it is bone dry…so much less hassle than cloths. Brilliant!

I bought this window vacuum as we have to many windows and it takes me all day to do all the windows..I love the product, it sacs the water very well,leave the windows spotless, shiny and it’s a time saver..The only thing I’d say,the battery doesn’t last as long as it’s written,I had to stop half way through as battery died and it took longer to charge it than the use of the vacuum..But it’s definitely worth buying it..

This is the second one i have owned, the first one i owned lasted almost 10 years!
It works perfectly at getting condensation off of windows, we use it on the shower screen as well. The battery life is really good and the suction power is great, cleans the windows without leaving streaks.

Love this products can not recommend enough, we struggle with loads of condensation in the front rooms in our house as the sun never gets round there. this Karcher window vac is amazing takes all the condensation and lasts few days before we have to do it again.
Lightweight and easy to use
Prior to purchasing this, we were using a squeegee on the bedroom windows each morning, half hanging out the window so the water would drip outside & using a towel to dry the rest. This is so much easier and I quite enjoy watching the condensation disappear into the window vac. Also been using it on the bathroom windows after a bath or shower.
I don’t have the biggest of hands but find this easy to hold and manoeuvre. Used it for over a week and still not had to charge it. So far, I’m really happy with it and wish I’d got it years ago.

I would recommend it, but try various methods to suit your windows.
The suction is good and even works upside down, however, the rubber is about 2mm short on the left side which leaves a 2mm strip against the
window frame. But for the price it does the job. A word of warning ensure that the rubber strip is flush against the window frame or it leaves moisture along the window frame. The water tank is a bit small and needs to be watched and emptied as soon as it reaches the full mark. I find it very easy to use after a bit of trial. The battery life is a bit short but does all 11 windows we have. Need to charge it every day it is used. It doesn’t do two days without a charge.

Wow. What a game changer read over some of the previous reviews and the power button doesnt move. U just hold it down for a few seconds then it turns on and same to turn it off.
I have 4 children so this is so easy to just spray the window with some soapy water and use this to dry. And it is amazing and so quick I can do my whole house within 10 minutes!.

Works well on my windows and shower area. But one of the plastic lugs on the collection tank came off. It is a twist fitting to lock the collection pipe in place. I contacted Karcher and they are arranging a replacement. Good customer service.

Early days but excelle
Got the wv1 for small square panes in a Georgian window and was concerned about sideways use but has a non return valve so works fine and no leaks. Was bored of all the condensation wfh and saves time mopping up and is loads faster and works perfectly. Being karcher not expecting any quality issues.

I use this mainly in the car. I go to work early in the morning and the windscreen is often full of condensation on the inside and this machine is ideal for that. Battery life seems to last a long time .goid

We struggle with condensation in the winter and also like to squeegee the shower down after use, this makes our life so much easier and does the job perfectly well
Great for removing condensatio
Great for condensation on interior tiled walls and windows. A quick 5 mins with this and it’s all done! So much better than drying everything with a tea towel.
It might be a little unwieldy for smaller hands – I have to use both thumbs to switch it on/off and the handle is quite big, but it doesn’t make it less effective. Really easy to take apart to empty/clean/dry.
If you have condensation, I can’t recommend this enough!

The on off switch is very very stiff to put on. I am very pleased with the suction on it. It clears my wife does really well. It works best this time of year due to the outside ten being so low & the warmth shows as condensation on the windows. My nets are no longer wet when I have used the window vac.. Easy now to see out.
Does have one minor flaw
Been using this for a month, so far so good. The only problem is vacuuming the bottom part of the window is not exactly easy, because the windowsill or floor is in the way. If you tilt the vacuum too much (to compensate the windowsill), the suction effect will be dramatically reduced.
As for the bottom part of the window (near the windowsill)), instead of vacuuming from up to down, turn it 90 degrees and vacuum it from Left to Right. There will be a bit of water left but you can pick it up with a few touch of the vacuum tip.
Take the hassle out of cleaning windows!
Performed exceptionally well. Managed to clean and vac all internal windows on a 4 bed detached house in around 30 mins. Battery showed no signs of fading. Collection bottle more than enough capacity to last about 5 times over. Also very handy to keep in the bathroom to remove excess moisture from tiles and shower screens to prevent build up of grime and limescale in grout lines. Very lightweight design makes it an absolute breeze!

I cannot tell you how brilliant this is! I have a problem with condensation at home and I have a lot of windows, and it would take me a long time and several goes to remove said condensation. However this takes just a few seconds to do the windows, and I only have to do it once!
Does a pretty good job.
I mainly use this for condensation on windows. It does leave a few streaks but largely works well. I have found that using it on its side or upside down can result in the water not making it into the collection bottle and it then leaks. The bottle is very easy to remove and empty on this model and charge lasts a long time as generally I’m only doing relatively short duration tasks. Obviously a trusted brand.

This is my third window vac, first one being the Karcher, dropped it and it broke! bought a different make, hopeless, back to the Karcher, definitley worth the extra money.
Better than cleaning with cloths
Heard a lot about these so thought I would get one & save myself the time on cleaning my windows by hand…. so glad I did. Looks good & is light weight. The only down side is the on/off button isn’t great. You have to press quite hard & press in the exact right spot otherwise it doesn’t come on … other than that happy enough with it.

Bought as a present for my husband, he is using it more than I thought he would, very useful for steamy windows and he even used it to clear the car windows. We keep it handy and are using it every day. Very useful indeed.
This product is utterly brilliant. I’m glad I wasn’t swayed by bad reviews because this is the answer to my condensation prayers. It sucks up the water instantaneously, it’s lightweight and easy to use. The button is perhaps a tiny bit stiff because it’s behind a waterproof coating but is in no way problematic. The capacity of the collection reservoir is quite small but I presumed it was because you can turn the device horizontally and it prevents the water coming back out.

I’ve used my older karcher window vac to clean my shower out after use for years until the battery gave up. Bought this model and it’s no where near the same build quality as my old one but does the job ok.
Really good compact machine. Make sure you put the nozzle head on the right way up And the rest is easy! Fantastic for removing condensation from single glazed windows, would definitely recommend!

I’ve been getting really bad condensation on windows all throughout my house recently, especially in the attic where we have a skyline window. Water dripping onto windowsills on a daily basis, but this karcher window vac has been a god send, absolutely amazing at sucking all the water off the windows, no streaks, and completely dry windows. Not to forget I’ve also used this in my bathroom cladded walls, and even to clean my mirrors with. i would definitely recommend getting one

Exceeded my expectations!
Exceeded my expectations. Gadgets often don’t live up to advertising but this one does. Used a squirt of washing up liquid in warm water to wash over glass to remove dust and finger marks (kids). Zipped down with the window vac, job done! You don’t need the more elaborate models with attachments, this basic one works just fine.
Efficient and easy to handle.
We love this gadget. We live in a big Victorian terrace house and have quite a lot of condensation to deal with. The vac easily deals with the whole house without needing a recharge in the middle. The bottle needs emptying quite frequently but it is easy to do so. Very efficient and leaves nice clean window. The on/off switch needs quite a lot of effort but eases a little over time.

Works brilliantly, have had another brand which only worked if held upright, the Karcher works at pretty much any angle, very efficient, easy to empty, easy to use, am very pleased with purchase; use it every day in the bathroom to keep condensation to a minimum and am considering getting another for downstairs.

We were recommended to use one by our bathroom installer to stop mould starting. Does a great job and the glass screen always looks clean with no marks on it. Great for getting the sealant dry.

I already had a Karcher window Vac and loved it so I bought this for a friend. She LOVES it. She cleans every surface in her home with it and constantly raves about how good it is. The blade is smaller than mine but this is ideal for smaller areas. Battery life is good. Highly recommend this product for making cleaning Glass and other shiny surfaces a much easier and less messy job

Brilliant. So much better than the older ones. Slightly smaller so it’s easier to handle and fits more windows. Easier to empty and better suction. Also doesn’t have a built in spray that can get messy and clogged up you just have one container for dirty water. Even works to suck up spilled water or the last of the melted ice when you defrost the freezer..

Someone suggested I should get one of these ages ago….completely dismissed the idea…very happy with using a cloth and bucket for wiping down condensation (except for creating a bit of a mess on the windowledge and having to wipe that too…and emptying the bucket. ) Re-thought this after lockdown…I deserved a ‘treat’ and it is. No more mess. Works efficiently and is easy to use and empty.

This is our second Karcher window vac. I’m not sure of the first one’s model name but it was quite similar to this and lasted about five years. We only replaced it because the light went on constantly even when the device was switched off.
So, what’s it like? This one is a bit shorter than the previous model and not quite as well balanced. We use it for cleaning the shower walls after showers and it works perfectly for that. No complaint whatsoever. A charge lasts about a week.
On the other hand, emptying the bottle is quite a faff. The previous model had a simple rubber bung which you could take out and tilt the device over the sink to empty it. The bung was attached to the vac with a strap which broke after a couple of years, but that made no difference to its use. This one has a redesigned bottle. You need to remove the bottle from the vac, then remove the black tube from the bottle by twisting and pulling it, empty the bottle and put everything together again. It’s not a huge problem, but finding a place to keep the vac during emptying was something we had to think about, and twisting the black tube is hard on the fingers. I fully expect to do myself a minor injury at some point, and when the thing wears out and is easier to open, it will also start leaking, so Karcher definitely lose a couple of points in my review for this.
Overall though, it works, it does the job and it’s reasonably priced, so four stars it is.

These window vacs are one of the best purchases I have ever made. I have been using them for a few years now and they are great to remove condensation and I use it to clear the shower screen every day. Never buy any of the alternatives as the Karcher ones are the best.
This is my third window vac. First was a cheap one from a German supermarket, second one a slightly dearer one from on here . Neither lasted more than a year & were clumsy & flimsy. However, once you use one you never go back to trad window leaning or condensation removal with a rag, bucket & wiper so I bought the Karcher on the basis it’s going to be a more robust product. I was right & it’s also streets ahead in both use & design to its predecessors & has a two year warranty. Don’t waste money on inferior products, I’ve done that for you already & achieved nothing. Buy this & be highly satisfied as I am, particularly after cleaning all & every window inside & out including the small conservatory on my bay window trad bungalow in under an hour & without any messing or going back over them. I use a roughly 50/50 mix of vinegar & tap water in a spray bottle along with a microfibre cloth wrapped around a sponge to give a quick once over & then vacuumed off with the Karcher. Result is zingy clean windows.

I have so many large windows in my house and 3 kids so they are always dirty with fingerprints. This takes just a few minutes to clean them all. It has reduced the time I spend window cleaning considerably and is worth its weight in gold. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has bi-fold or patio doors or conservatories.

Love the karcher so easy to use got one a few years ago but sadly stop working so decided to buy another this is slightly diffrent the good thing his the bottle comes out to empty the water which is a plus but the button which you press is slightly harder to switch on and off after a few presses it works as my old one was a lot easier but still a great product great for Windows showers mirrors done in no time happy with my purchase
Really impressed with this product, effective, very light to hold. The only negative is for me is it’s quite difficult to switch on & off. But once it’s on it does a brilliant job on shower screen & tray, windows etc. I am really pleased with mine and would recommend.

My last one sounded like a Formula one engine so couldn’t use in the early mornings for fear of waking the neighbours but had this device a week now and it’s perfect so far. So much more easier to clean my windows. Even the hubby has started cleaning then. Great incentive for him to do it for me. Only thing I would say I tried to use this for cleaning my mirrors by it does leave some smears. Other than that saves me alot of time on my window cleaning. It really easy to use but it leaves streaks… so I am not sure if I do something wrong but I can’t give 5 stars for that , only 4 as I still enjoy using it. I remove marks with clean cloth after use. It’s light, comfy grip, battery last long between charges, suction power is good.

Initially thought this did everything from washing the window too but it’s just a hoover with a squeegee. I used a sponge with fairy liquid to wash the window and then went over it with the Karcher window hoover. It does the job OK but it’s just a glorified squeegee.
